I talked to another who couldn't identify the proper part, was looking at a part I wasn't asking for telling me he didn't have it in stock. I'll later found out his background was in a construction field but yet he was passing himself off as a car guy. The service is only as good as the intelligence level of the person you're dealing with. Advance Auto does not have the best computer system that makes it a little difficult for someone who's not well versed in the field. Some of the counter people are not. I don't think advanced is helping the kind of people that they're hiring with the computer system they have.

But of course some items can be found much cheaper elsewhere, always good to search for the best value on most items. Also the rewards program here is awkward, not automatically syncing to my purchases online and in store.

I had the guy at the counter test my battery and he came out and tested the battery in my car and…read moretold me my battery was bad and needed a new one, it is a 48 month battery and it has been roughly 4 years so I trusted this guy knew how to read a volt meter and went home pulled my battery out which is a little more involved then just undoing the connections and found a replacement at another parts store and took my battery in for a core charge but had them check it to verify it was bad, it tested good, they said it was weak but still good enough, so since I have gotten two different results I figured I would get a third opinion to be sure, the third place said it tested good no problems, so thanks to the incompetence if the counter guy here at O'Reillys I wasted over a hour of my time for absolutely nothing, there is no compensation for time, so I will never go to O'Reillys again and would never recommend this place to anyone, i would tell anyone that asks to go somewhere else simply because if they can't train there help to do something as simple as testing a battery how can you trust that they can find the right part or recommend any product, this place should be looked at by corporate.

I tried another recommended auto electric place. Diagnosis, bad battery. Will autozone replace a battery that they test as good? I doubt it. Certainly won't buy another battery at Autozone.

I need my truck for my business and so I had to do something. I have used this place before when they were Robinson's and so I called them. I was told they had an opening in about 20 minutes so I hustled over. They confirmed that it wasn't repairable and pointed out that my tires were cracking and probably should be replaced. I didn't have time for them to replace all four so they put two on and sent me on my way. I came back the next morning and they replaced the other two. I have always had a good experience with them and they trusted me to come back and finish the job.

Basically told me if I don't pay, he was calling the police and walked away from me.. A dickhead to say the least. Worst customer service I have ever had. So naturally, I paid with an actual card and not Apple Pay. I've never been treated like that at a place of business in my life. By the way, all the other technicians were wonderful.

He assured me that lots of cars have plastic oil pans and it's nothing to worry about. So i pay him $700 to fix it. Turns out it didn't fix my leak, was leaking just as badly. So i brought it back to him, and what do you know? Hes explaining to me on the phone that it's because the plastic oil pan was warped. He did seem to feel sorry and give me a good deal on replacing the oil pan, so i spent another 500. He tried to say that fixing one oil leak can cause another, but the oil was clearly leaking from the oil pan the first time i brought it in. I even have obvious photos of it from before I ever brought it to him the first time. I shouldn't have let him convince me it was the sensor. Could he be right? Maybe. But I think the evidence leans towards he made a mistake. Which is fine, mistakes happen. But he could at least admit it.
