I've had good service here getting lawnmower tires repaired. The team can fix or upgrade any tires. I brought in tubeless front tires off my John Deere x150 lawn tractor to have tubes installed. The team at Mr and Mrs Tire have twice been super generous and helpful. This last time, the battery on our Honda van died (totally my fault for leaving the sliding doors open while loading stuff for a few hours). When this happens the sliding doors won't operate once the car is jumped, so you need to go to a shop to have the error codes cleared and the system reset. We were heading out on vacation, and the crew at Mr and Mrs Tire squeezed us in right away and cleared the codes. Then they simply said, "have a great trip" and refused to charge us. That's twice that they've been generous like this to us. I'll give them total credit and admiration--and my continued business. So, I had a flat tire and took it here. I also needed my oil changed and was going to get both things taken care of in one trip. They called me and said my tire was ruined and I was going to have to buy a new one. After getting the price and checking the validity of the price with my dad, I called them back and said I was going to go elsewhere. They had already changed my oil and that was fine and affordable. I took the tire to a different place in my hometown and they found absolutely nothing wrong with my tire. No puncture, nothing and definitely not ruined. The problem was that due to the super freezing cold weather it is likely that I hit a bump and the seal broke on the rim (my uneducated reinterpretation of what I was told). Will I go here again? I went in for an alignment and they didn't bug me about my tire tread and I'm glad they didn't. The tread isn't perfect but they don't need to be replaced yet. The national-branded shop I went to previously said they could do an alignment without new tires. Not only did they not bug me about it but they mentioned some other minor problems with my car but never pressured me to fix them. I was glad to be informed and told how minor they were. They went over the alignment with me and then quoted me for a tune up of my other car. I was happy they included the replacement of certain gaskets that you have to take off to get to the spark plugs, some shops won't replace or give you the option even though it is much more optimal to replace those $8 parts when it costs $200 in labor to get to them (on your way to the spark plugs). Anyway, I'll go back for more work and update this review accordingly. read more

Overcharging for a regular service is unacceptable. The cost to replace my spark plugs was $425 at Mr/Mrs Tire. Another local auto shop in town charged me $125 for new spark plugs and only 1 hr of labor vs the 3 hrs of labor charged by Mr/Mrs Tire. . Shop around before taking your business here. A couple months ago my F-150 would not start on me. It seemed to have a bad starter since I had just replaced the battery. I was referred to Mr & Mrs tire so I towed my truck in and talked with Curt. Curt is a professional who treats his customers with care and excellent work. 2 months later my truck would not start again but this time it was a grounding issue. I went into get my tire repaired because I had a flat. They told me that they would call me later that day to see if it was able to fix. They never called, so I called at the end of the day. When I called, they told me that it was ready, but no one was in the garage to put it on, so I had to wait until the next day to go and get the tire. When I went to go get the tire, they were nice, but it took about an hour too long. Three days after getting the tire back on, the tire pressure light came on. The tire pressure was at 18!!!!!!! The tire pressure that you are supposed to drive on is 35. So, after less than a week of the tire being repaired, I have had to put air in the tire 3 different times each day. Not a fan of a company who cannot fix a simple flat tire! Will not be going back. read more

We took our car in to Mr. and Mrs. Tire because our check engine light was on... 2 days and 150 bucks later when we got our car back, not only was the engine light still on (which they claimed they fixed whatever was wrong), our fan system stopped working. When we confronted them about the fan, they said it will extra to fix the fan (which was working perfectly fine before we took it in). Avoid this place! The better business bureau should investigate this place after all similar horror stories I've heard! read more

They said it was an electrical issue beyond their expertise and suggested I go to the dealer. I drove down to the Indianapolis area Acura dealer only to find that all I needed was a new light bulb. I was recommended here by a good friend and was a little discouraged by all of the reviews on here. I went in anyways and they were great from the start. They were really nice about fitting me in without an appointment and quoted me about 45 min - an hour, but probably was closer to 30 min. Very professional and fixed the nail in my tire and didn't even try to sell me a new one despite my tire treads are over half gone. I knew they were coming up on needing replaced, but was hoping I could get the summer out of them. I would definitely recommend them!!! But know their limitations, for the most part they deal with tires, they can do some other work, but it sounded like their more experienced staff is limited. read more

STAY AWAY!! My family and I have been taking our vehicles to Mr. and Mrs. Tire for over 10 years. However, the last two times I brought my vehicle there for regular maintenance (new tires, and oil change) I left with MORE issues with my vehicle than when I brought it in. For example, 3 months after receiving one of my new tires, it completely shred on the interstate! After bringing the issues up with the company, they told me I had a faulty tire (which I bought from them and they installed), they were very rude to me, and were completely unwilling to fix or address the issue and THEIR mistake! After being a dedicated customer for years, I'm so incredibly disappointed at their quality of work and customer service. I will never take my vehicle back to them. Ever. read more

I totally agree with the others about the guy at the front desk. I've been there twice, and both times, he acted like I was inconveniencing him with my questions. He tried to rush me. He is cold and rude. The fixed my alternator and the car still stalled. I had to bring it in for them to change the idle speed. When I had to bring it in again (at MY inconvenience), there was no attempt to apologize or explain or anything. They treat customers like they're idiots, and they don't seem interested in gaining your business. At first I started going to this place because they offered Purdue staff a discount but after the first couple of times I started recommending this place because of the service and the honesty of the people I dealt with. I have gone back time and time again for major repairs as well as general maintenance and will continue to do so. They have always called me if the price was different than quoted and have never done any work without prior authorization. I will continue to use them and recommend them to my family and friends. I went to this place last year after my car kept breaking down. They took great care of my car at a great price. They were extremely friendly and not only called me about my car but my dad also because I don't really understand car lingo. They went above and beyond to offer the best customer service to me. Eventually my thirteen year old car couldn't be fixed and died. At first they didn't want me to pay anything because they couldn't fix it but I insisted to pay because they were so friendly and they did put in labor and time. I have a new car now so I don't have to go to them anymore but I will definitely be going back to them for my oil changes. read more
