What…read moreshould have been a routine service turned into an extremely disappointing and costly experience. When the work was completed, we were initially told that two lug nut studs had cross threaded. After inspecting the vehicle ourselves, it became clear that every lug stud had been cross threaded. Rather than taking responsibility for the damage that occurred during the service, the staff repeatedly insisted that they were not at fault. Ironically, throughout every conversation, they continually emphasized that Subaru lug studs are well known for being easy to cross thread. If they are aware of this common issue, then they should also be aware of the proper procedures required to prevent it. Lug nuts should be started by hand for several turns before any tools are used, and the final torque specification for this vehicle is 89 ft-lbs. These precautions exist for a reason. Failing to follow them can easily result in damaged studs. I first spoke with David, who repeatedly gave the same explanation without addressing any of my concerns. I then spoke with Micah in person and requested to review the security footage so I could see how my vehicle had been handled. Instead of taking my request seriously, he chuckled , answered the phone to help another customer, then returned and asked if I wanted to schedule an appointment to have the damage repaired. I found that response incredibly dismissive and unprofessional. To make matters worse, I was quoted approximately $90 per stud to repair damage that occurred while my vehicle was in their care, bringing the estimated repair cost to nearly $1,800 for every lug nut stud . Fortunately, I have the knowledge and ability to replace the studs myself, so I am only spending around $100 on parts. Most customers would not be in that position and would be forced to pay an enormous repair bill for something they did not cause. I have documented everything, including photographs of the damaged studs and records of my conversations with the staff. What is most upsetting is not simply that the damage occurred, mistakes can happen in any business. What is unacceptable is the complete refusal to acknowledge the possibility that it happened during their service, the dismissive treatment I received when I asked reasonable questions, and the expectation that I should pay to correct the damage. I have never experienced such poor customer service. A reputable business stands behind its work, accepts responsibility when mistakes are made, and works toward a fair resolution. Instead, I was met with denial, repeated excuses, and a complete lack of accountability. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend this shop to anyone, especially Subaru owners. I will be sharing my experience anywhere I can in the hope that other customers do not find themselves facing the same unnecessary expense and frustration.

He asks wouldn't I rather set it to the max pressure?(60#) I've done tire repair dating back to 1988. I politely tell him no set it like the rest. He crawls under the truck then tells me the pressure is to low for his fancy machine and it won't air up the tire. He tells me if I get the tire out from under the truck they can put it in the cage and air it up there. Umm... No! Instead I took the truck over to the air pump at Walmart and paid to put 40# of air in my tire. Sometimes simple is better and my time is valuable.

Upon pulling out of the centers parking lot I quickly realized that I couldn't stop. My brakes had completely failed on me and luckily I was able to maneuver my way back to the parking spot at the shop. When I arrived Monday morning(shop was closed until then) , the stores owner JIM BECK was rude, condescending, and threatened to call the police on me for being "belligerent" when all I was doing was standing at the counter top requesting to have my car properly serviced and to be refunded for the time and money that I lost out on due to being unable to transport myself/ the cost of the labor. After all, I paid $966 for them to not repair my brakes properly and almost get into an accident, the least they could do was return some of my money. When confronted about what had gone wrong with my car , the owner stated that there was air left in the tires and proceeded to tell me to " stop talking" when I mentioned what could have happened to me due to their incomplete brake job. I could have been injured or killed, or even killed another person from being unable to stop my vehicle. The shop then proceeded to take 2 hours to complete the faulty brake job, causing me to be late to work that morning. Overall, the owner JIM BECK, is an awful business owner and should not be in a management position. I will never be returning to a Meineke for my car repairs due to this terrible experience. I hope that if you're reading this review and still considering getting your car repaired here, you think again; go somewhere that's actually trustworthy, completes quality car repairs, and is worth the price you pay. If I could rate this car shop honestly, I would rate it ZERO stars, but the lowest yelp allows is 1 unfortunately

I reached out to my credit card company who also spoke with Christian brothers and they reverse the charge. Christian Brothers advertises free estimates. So don't make the mistake I made, if you know what the problem is, ask them to give you a quote you don't have to take your car over there for that estimate. I am bummed they didn't come to this conclusion before I left their shop, and that they were willing to charge me almost $200 for giving me an estimate in the first place, but I am very grateful that they decided to do the right thing... Found a nail in my wife's driver side rear tire this morning around 9, a slow leak at 26 psi for a 32 psi tire. Called around and found a few places that could do the repair today. Two were in Star, and one of them wouldn't be able to repair the tire until 3 or 4 pm. The guy at Star Tire said I could bring the car over right away and they could take care of me. We dropped the car before 10 am. The gentleman said the car should be ready around 11:30 am. That was fine with us, as we had the other car. We were told that we would be called when the car was ready. We had not received a call by 2 pm and we were out doing an errand so we dropped by. The same gentleman told me that they had tried two prior repairs of the tire, but leaking persisted. They were on their third try. I've never had a flat take three attempts to repair. We were told the car would be ready shortly. We decided to wait in the car. The repair was completed within about 10 minutes, we paid, and were preparing to leave. Dan, who I believe is the owner, told us to check and make sure that the key was in the car. It wasn't. Went back in and had to wait another 5 minutes because they didn't know where the key was. It was eventually found and we were on our way. 3 hours after we were told the car would be ready. I appreciate that they were able to take care of my car today. Everyone is nice here, and they seem to do a good business. As I said, they are well reviewed. We just moved to Star in June and I am looking for an auto shop to take care of the maintenance and repair of both our vehicles. Unfortunately, after this experience with ST&A, I'll be looking elsewhere.
