Today is 4-2-2026 Review abt yr ago. Purch'd Duralast Flr jack. 1st use, worked well still in 1 yr warranty & orig box. 1 yr aftr, i used again 2 chng my oil again. Barely pump few lbs! Box had oil stains. I remember $ was surprisingly low. But i was ignorant of diff brand pricing, quality etc. I called & thier response was nothing they can do past 1 yr warranty. i tried 2 ask why oil plug was either welded shut or goop like epoxy. So i couldn't even refill it. Come to find out, & unknown2 me at the time, it APPEARS it was used returned jack.. I NEVER KNOWINGLY Purch ANYTHING USED, OPEN BOX, REFURBISHED. I went2 another AutoZone, recently 2 see, they had a tiny sign used, but I'd have noticed if it had been there at other store, bcuz i gave leaking non functional used once, jack 2my neighbor & told him fix it it's yours. He did fix it!! I asked how'd he get the plug open. He said plug was elsewhere on jack. He Offered 2 give back but i couldn't go back on my word. He restaited give back - I said no but loan it to me abt once a yr. He agreed. In short all the other store had2 do was look at it. HOWEVER They don't sell jack oil :-( or so guy at store said. I'm guessing 1st owner somehow intentionally or unintentionally loosened oil plug or worse it comes loose by itself. Guy at store said seals go bad after yr or 2 & they don't sell the seals either? I haven't checked if any of that (oil or seals) is true. No intention of purch any thing significant frm them again, convenience only. Also chngd rating frm 1* to 2.5can't do 2.5 so 2. If U plan to purch frm AutoZone MAKE SURE It's NEW, & they sell maintenance type items 4 that product, seals, specialty oil, screws, nuts or bolts, hinge pins, wheels, specialty batteries, battery door covers, specialty funnel, handle, ETC OR Name of someone you can obtain those items read more

AUTOZONE I went out to my car this morning and my battery was dead. So I then called roadside assistance with Geico and had them come out and give me a jump. Next, I headed over to autozone on State street in Garden City, Idaho where a young man helped me by the name of Gabriel who was so sweet and helpful and I was so thankful for his niceness because the day wasn't going so well. Gabriel's patience impressed me because I wasn't looking for anything too expensive.Then by chance I asked him how long the battery should last and that I purchased it from the Autozone in Meridian? And he said 2 years but he looked my name up in the computer and found that I had a warranty on my battery and so I was able to not worry about the price at all. And then the next thing that happened was that he offered to install theAUTOZONE I went out to my car this morning and my battery was dead. I placed a pick up order for wiper blades and power steering fluid. The manager pulled my order for me and made sure I had the correct items for my car. He went a step further and assisted me with installing them. I happened to have ordered the incorrect blades. So he fixed it. Not feeling confident myself in changing out replacement parts, this particular location made sure I was taken care of. The people at autozone are generally very nice and professional. The reason for two stars is the pricing and the part quality. Pretty much everything is way overpriced, and duralast products are junk. Just moved to a rural area in the dakotas from boise, my alternator I purchased 90 days ago is already bad and the nearest autozone is 3 hours away. The good thing about duralast is the warranty, but in my situation it would cost more to drive there and warranty it. If you need a new battery go to interstate. As far as car parts, pretty much anywhere has better quality and cheaper parts, Napa is the way to go for large retail part stores. read more

Everyone that works here is rude and unprofessional. Tried to sell me an overpriced product and didn't properly educate me on it knowing very well we needed the one with the gauge on it. She wasn't very nice or helpful probably because I'm a girl. She was plump with short brown hair probably hasn't smiled a day in her life. Went back to return the overpriced product that was useless. They cashiers weren't helpful or nice, spoke indistinctly they seemed distracted. Don't ever go here for anything unless you want to pay too much money and interact with grumpy people. On 6/21/21, I visited the AutoZone on Overland to buy a turn signal replacement bulb. I was impressed to learn that the store is open till 10 PM. Essential stores like this that are open late are a lifesaver for people like me, who often work late. The customer service was excellent! Ian quickly found me the correct part. When he learned that I didn't have any gloves to wear while replacing my bulb, he offered to replace it for me. I quickly took him up on his kind offer. I asked if I purchased windshield wipers, if he might be able to replace those as well. I know most people don't find it challenging to replace windshield wipers, but it's something I've never done and it looks confusing when I watch other people do it. I also wanted to find the best possible windshield wipers. Ian helped me find some great Rain-X Silicon AdvantEdge Beam Wiper Blades, which he quickly installed. I couldn't have asked for a better auto part shopping experience. Highly Recommended!!! read more

Went in with what I thought was just a battery issue. The store was clean and the staff was friendly and informed. I worked with the assistant manager, he was awesome! He checked the battery and the alternator as well as ran the code for my check engine light. He got me up and running with the battery in no time, he didn't try and oversell anything and had a recommendation for a place to take my car over the holiday weekend that could get me back on the road. 10/10 recommend this location. read more

Ben was so helpful. I went in thinking I needed a headlight relay. He came out to my car and did some troubleshooting with me. Upon discovering my headlight plugs were dirty and had caused a short, he got me set up with headlights and cleaned the plugs for me. 10/10 I will be back again I only wish I'd had some cash to tip him for his hard work and above and beyond customer service. While visiting the store at 4111 W Overland Rd, Boise · (208) 331-1088 I was assisted by an employee Akil who seeing that I was using a walker to enter the store rushed over to open the door -- now during the day I ended up visiting the store twice during the day and both times he made sure the door was held open for me. In the afternoon I stopped by to purchase an air filter for my 2000 Kia and this same employee made the point to not only bring out tools but to replace the air filter for me, Since I am simi-disabled at this time I can say that his actions were held in high regards by me. When you're a woman, you sometimes encounter people (I won't say men, because it isn't always men) who treat you like you know absoultely nothing when you walk into an auto supply store. I have NEVER had that problem at this Autozone location. Whether I call ahead to ask questions first, or just stop in, I've always been treated with respect. If I DO need help, when I ask for it I am assisted promptly- AND given the opportunity to be educated about what I'm looking for. As a woman who would rather die than play the "Girl Card", I WILL admit that I have asked for help installing items, but only if I've tried it myself first (and I mean really tried). OUTSTANDING customer service. David was quick to greet me and asked me what he could guide me to. I'm not one to ask help unless I've already looked, but David wanted to save me the trouble. He said "What are you looking for, I'll help you track it down." He did not try to sell me anything super expensive, I was looking for car washing supplies for the average car washing guy who wanted the wax shine without a 2 hour detail. He showed me some products which were both on sale and with which he had firsthand experience, then explained how he personally applied to his car in just a few minutes. He promised me my subaru would look great with minimal effort and he was true to his word. David understands some stuff. I never asked him for the cheap stuff - he gave me the best value and threw in service as well when he could easily have told me to buy more expensive stuff. Because of him and the fact that all the other employees acknowledged me while I was in the store, I'll be back whenever my needs beckon. Also the management of this location blew me out of the water. As a student studying marketing, we as consumers NEED to give our business to companies like this. That's how we reward the good service. Alex, the store manager, was very humble and grateful when I called their location the next day to tell him how David did. Not only that, but he made sure to praise the employee and also gave me the number of his district manager who promised to recognize David as well. Best part, the district manager was also very humble and thanked me and even APOLOGIZED to me for the short 20 minute delay in returning my call! What?!?! I don't even call my mom back in 20 mins. And not just one time - they have helped me link up a wiring harness cause I am colorblind and wanted to make sure the colors lined up. For free. I offered to buy the guy at least a soda or give he tip, and he just smiled and "no sir, just come see us again if you need anything." Bottom line, it was like walking into your neighbor's garage to borrow a wrench. Unbelievably nice people who make you feel welcome. Great job guys. Filthy store, lazy employees. I called earlier in the day and had a part put on hold for me. When I walked in and was helped by the guy at the counter. He then walked in the back and never returned. A few minutes later someone else came out and asked me what I needed. I told him that someone else went into the back to get my part. He said ok and left. Ten minutes later the second guy came back out and saw me still standing there. So, he began to look up my part, and then went into the back to get it. A few more minutes went by..... the second guy came back out and looked at me as though I irritated him. He asked if there was anything else I needed...... I said no, just the part Ive been waiting here for. He then went into the back and I could here him and the first guy talking. Apparently jerk number 1 went on lunch and was stuffing his face. Jerk number 2 asked why he didn't come up and tell me that my part had been sent to another store. Jerk number 1 said that he thought jerk 2 was going to do that.... In the end I went three blocks up and bought the part at orilleys. read more
