I went to get a tire repair. Learned a lot about how that is done now a days....not happy with the reasoning. My review is based on the fellow (who was training a new guy) and his attitude with me. He was arrogant...like I had new clue, I am a retired mechanic...and condescending. It was clear to me that he just wanted to get $$ out of me. I will not go to this store again. My sons have worked at America's Tire. I have run this stores tires, only, for decades. I am so disappointed in the entire interaction. read more

Came in on a slow day for two new tires for my small utility trailer. Took over an hour to get one tire removed and replaced. Lots of staff standing around BS'ing and grabassing. Most people in and out in 45 minutes but not my tiny trailer with 14 inch wheels. I've had much better service here when they are slammed. Their fancy remodel is just a front for shit service and a team of ass-clowns who are totally off task. Unacceptable service when there's only two cars in the bays that came 30 minutes after me. I see my technician walking around bull shitting and doing everything but what's assigned. These types of employees will kill a business, regardless of how cheap your tires are. I've bought tires from this comp in 3 western states and this has been the worst service I've ever experienced. Better avoid this joint until there's a leadership change. What a change in service from just 4 months back. Better reevaluate how the place is managed. read more

These guys and gals were great! I made an appointment - that was seamless. Arrived on time, to a crowded waiting room and was informed someone would be there to help me shortly - and they did. I was told an hour was needed to add two tires, and it only took 45 minutes. I went back to pick up the car, again, to a crowded waiting room and was again told someone would help me shortly. A gentlemen spoke up and asked if anyone was there to pick up a vehicle. I raised my hand, and was out the door in 3 minutes. Everyone was professional and courteous. Staff here does their best to outfit your vehicle with the right tire and always services the maintenance needs as quickly and efficiently as possible. It's best to schedule your appointments online for a fast fee and smoother experience. Due to the current situation, you must drive through the check-in line. You access this by driving along the Tire store building side that faces McDonalds. We blew a tire just outside of Nampa. Luckily there was a Discount Tire store in town. After limping our rig in Matt from Discount Tire greeted us at the check-in location. He was very professional and said he would get to us as they could because it was a very busy day for them. We pulled around the shop and parked. Went inside purchased two new tires. He said expectations that it would be a couple hour wait right away. So we explored the shopping center and what was around the discount tire. About an hour and 45 minutes later we had new tires on our trailer. My wife said they didn't look right but we were assured by the technicians that they were fully aired up and the proper size for the for the vehicle. So we headed into boise. When stopping at a truck stop we noticed again that they didn't look right and the trailer wasn't pulling as easily as it did on the old tires. We immediately called Matt back he did some checking and realized they had put the wrong weight rating tires on our trailer. We went back to the store where he had the correct tires waiting for us. I have to say his customer service was world class. His crew was more like a NASCAR pit crew this time. They had the new tires mounted balanced and put on the trailers before I could get out of the bathroom. Great job to Matt and his team! I've been a long time Discount Tire customer. We use them for all of our vehicles. This store was a credit to their brand. Excellent customer service, friendly demeanor, and great service. I made an appointment for a seasonal swap on my car and I was met with a very welcoming atmosphere. I was very impressed with the team and the newly refurbished lobby. It was fresh and modern and it definitely caught my attention. Javier helped check the tread on my tires and did so quickly with a good attention to detail. He was very friendly and I enjoyed our conversations and the genuine care that he had. He was extremely professional and inviting. Follow up: Went to Commercial Tire today. Only one puncture! Fixed for free!! Buyer beware!!! Went in for an appointment for tire rotation and they said they didn't have the appointment even when we had it sent to us on the phone. We showed it to them , but they said couldn't do it even though many guys were standing around. It was not busy at all. We made appointments for 3 cars. The same day I brought in my other car. It's a year and a half old. It had a leak. They said they could not fix it because it had 3 holes. One nail and 2 staples. They wanted me to buy 2 tires I asked to see them. My husband has been a mechanic for 45 years. He only saw one hole. The leak was very slow. They got very defensive when I asked to see the other 2 leaks. Young and inexperienced . AMAZING experience at Discount Tire today! I came in and made an appointment for a new tire after assuming that my old tire with a screw in it was unrepairable. They ordered the new tire, and were part way through installing it when they called to let me know they looked at my old tire and said it was entirely REPAIRABLE!!! They went ahead and cancelled the new tire, fixed, installed, rotated and balanced my old tires for free. I guess I don't expect this kind of customer-oriented approach these days!! I ordered the tires online and the store located them in another part of the country, shipped them (3 days) and installed them in 30 minutes. I was kept informed the whole time and at the store the customer rep listened to what I requested and wrote it on the order. Courtesy lifetime maintenance with paid installation. Tires were competitively priced and I had a wide choice of quality brands to choose from - went with the Continental Cross Contact LX20's for my SUV. These guys are great! I've been using Discount Tire/ America's Tire for close to 20 years. They've seen me through a handful of vehicles tire issues and I've never left them feeling anything other than impressed. This location is generally pretty busy and they definitely encourage appointments. Once you're in the door though you are treated very nicely. They've got water and snacks for ya while you wait but it's usually not all that long of a wait. Their products are top notch and priced fairly. I love these guys and will continue to use them and recommend them. read more

I bought six tires for my motorhome. Heber and his crew took very good care of my vehicle. I appreciate the the excellent price I received and the attention to detail. I really like that they took a wire wheel to all of the contact surfaces of the wheels and cleaned them really well. They torqued all the lug nuts and made sure the hub caps were securely fastened. Finally, they rotated the best tire for the spare. All staff was friendly and efficient. I have used America's Tire for about 20 years and were pleased to find the same quality service here. I just had a frustrating experience with Discount Tires in Nampa on Marketplace Blvd. I went in with a slow leak in one tire. They told me it would be a two hour wait. I waited the two hours and finally the tire jockey comes in and tells me the tire is irreparable. He shows me the tire with a small screw in it and says " if it had been 1/2 closer to the center of the tread, we could repair it but it's in the sidewall and it's junk. The good news is that it's still under road hazard warranty." " Ok" I says, "How much is this going to cost me ?" After much calculation and management consultation and more calculation, they came up with $78.00. Boy what a warranty! I only paid $72 originally. I reluctantly said "ok but I want the old tire" Manager says " Oh no. You can't keep your old tire because we have to send it back to the manufacturers and blah blah blah". By this time I am getting pissed and I said " Just put the spare on and I'll be out of here". The jockey goes back out and in about 5 minutes he comes back in and says " We can't put that spare on because it's too old." "Ok" says I," Just put the original tire on and fill it up with air and I'll be out of here." Now by this time I have spent 2 hours and 40 minutes at Discount Tires for absolutely nothing. Now I go back home to Caldwell and pull into Point S Bruneel Tires. I asked the gentleman at the desk if they had time to fix a tire. "Sure" he says, "We can do it right now." 15 minutes later, the tire is fixed with no issues and NO CHARGE. Even though it wasn't their tire, they still fixed it for free. I went in last week to buy a tire because one of my tires were separating. I told the guy behind the counter that I bought a tire from another Discount Tire Store in another state about a year and a half ago. He looked on the computer and verified my claim. I asked if he could check and see if it was the same tire that I purchased and maybe I could get a replacement tire or a discounted tire. He said because I bought the exact same tire that was already on my car he had no way to verify if it was the same tire or not. I told him I paid paid extra for this warranty. (To be honest I'm not sure if I was charged extra or not). Because he wouldn't even attempt to see if it was the same tire or not, I was forced to buy four new tires. Beware, if you buy a single tire and it's the exact same match, you may not get the warranty that you paid for. read more

Went in for a tire rotation on my 2020 Ram 1500 and the employee that was clearly interrupted in the middle of a B.S. session came over, fiddled around for a minute and told me my tires (that were purchased and installed by the RAM dealership and have previously been rotated by Les Schwab) didn't have a safe load rating... Wow! Awesome Service. We were on our way out of town and noticed a low tire. We pulled into Discount Tire and asked if they could air it up as we were leaving town. They offered to examine the tire, and repair it at No Charge. As they did not want it going flat during our trip. We explained that we did not purchase our tires from them but the said "No Problem." Twenty minutes later they showed of the nail they removed, patched the tire and we were on our way. That was Nov 2017, today is April 2018 and have not had any problems with that tire since.
