Horrible customer service. 4 hours for oil change. Others came in after me and left way before me. Bunch of deplorables working here. Avoid

Do you enjoy wasting hours or even days of your precious time? Do you love getting the runaround by clueless people who hate their job more than they hate themselves? Do you relish the anxiety and uncertainty of not knowing if/when you will get your tires installed that you have already bought and paid for? Then this Walmart tire center is the place for you! I bought four tires on the 22nd of August, and set up an appointment to get them installed on the 26th. I went in on the 26th and they told me my tires weren't available and that I would have to just wait. Here it is the 29th, and my app says the tires are now ready to be installed. Of course my appointment still says the 26th and there's no way to reschedule. I went in and some guy said there are 4 cars in front of me waiting for tires, but Tonya should be able to make me an appointment. I went over and talked to Tonya who said no, it's first come first served only. I still don't have my tires installed, and I doubt it will be today, I just don't have time to sit around here any longer. Worst customer service and tire buying experience ever. Dropped my car off at 11:30am this morning for them to install 4 new tires. Service guy told me 2 hours tops. Just called at 3:30pm and they hadn't even started it. As usual, the service here is just as bad as the one on Pleasant Grove road. Less than impressed. I should have spent the extra $105 at Norms Tire Center in Bentonville. read more

It took employees 4 hours to tell me the tires their app recommended did not fit my vehicle; they came back to me and said "that's why we recommend not to follow the app recommended size" where was this warning 4 hours ago when I bought the tires? Did they bother to check at all? read more

Ok. I hear that Wal-Mart tire centers are bad but cmon Walmart you can do better then this. Waited in line for over 30 minutes. Get to the front take another 15 minutes giving my information. Ask how long the wait is going to be to fix 1 flat tire. Over 3 hours!!!! Really? You guys really need to hire more people. read more

There is only one person working the desk and a line of people waiting to get there oil changed. I paid to have everything checked and filled. When I got back home I checked to see if everything got filled up and it wasn't. Had to do it myself. Then I go back to have my tires checked again and had to deal with a very rude worker. I told the manager of that department which he said that he would give me a call and never did. Very poor customer service. Not a good place to go. I will never go to that Walmart to get my oil changed ever. Manager never called me back. Shame on you. read more

I had taken my vehicle there for an oil change and tire rotation. Got there early (7:20) and it took 2.5 hours for them to complete their services. Not sure why it was taking that long but they seemed to have only 1 person doing tire rotation. So, I finally get my vehicle and leave and within 30 seconds as I'm leaving I hear a beep and the check engine and red triangle of death (critical component failure) had come on and I noticed that battery was low (hybrid). So, I turn around and park in the automotive lot in a spot that would allow a tow truck easy access. I wasn't sure what was going on but my first thought was that the 200v battery wasn't charging. I recycled power and noticed the engine came on and shut down in 1-2 seconds.... so that explained why the battery wasn't charging and was apparently running off the battery and not the engine when WMT test drove it. I had a bluetooth diagnostic reader plugged in and pulled the codes. The computer was throwing a code stating the throttle actuator "A" control system stuck open??? Was running fine until WMT did the oil change and tire rotation and it's a 20 minute drive into town. I used my phone to search the internet for clues as to what others had seen... oddly one of those was someone who mentioned they had an oil change and the oil as over filled and they got oil on a sensor.... another about the throttle body needed cleaning... which had been done previously at the toyota dealer... So, I popped the hood and checked the oil and it was just under the fill mark and I didn't see any oil on the manifold or sensors/wires... So I decided to look at the TBI (on the right side of the air cleaner intake) and when I popped the cover off the air filer I noticed small specks of debris on the clean side of the intake. The air on the clean side goes thru 2 filters... the replaceable filter and a permanent filter ( in the top cover). I used a flashlight and looked down into the TBI intake and saw DEBRIS on top of the TBI plate that opens/closes to control air flow into the engine.... and this was not small pieces of debris. I closed the hood and went over to talk to the automotive CSM who was outside watching and greeting people. He had been over earlier and I told him my car died after they worked on it. I told him I had found debris inside the TBI that they had checked the air filter after I had told them NOT TO REPLACE THE AIR FILTER. I asked if they had a portable air tank so I could attempt to blow out the debris..... said they didn't have one after someone left it in a customers car.. I asked if they had a portable vacuum ... he said the only vacuum they had was in the service bay and I stated the car would not move... and he told me I could go inside and BUY A PORTABLE VACUUM... I asked him to get the store manager and he stated I could go inside to the auto service desk and they could contact one... GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.. WELCOME TO WAL-MART!!! I went inside and asked to speak to the store manager .. he asked if something was wrong... I said yes, they killed my car after doing an oil change and tire rotation.. He asked if the dept mgr would do... and I said NO.. After several minutes... he came back and said the auto service mgr was coming... not who I asked for.. When he arrived he asked what was wrong and I told him they had gotten debris into the TBI and now the car was dead. I took him outside to show him. When I showed him the debris inside the TBI he said he'd never seen that before... at least he seemed more cooperative than the automotive csm . He was wondering if it could be blown out but after looking at the debris size I said I didn't think the big pieces would blow out and inquired if they had any claw type tools to pick out the debris. He sent the csm inside to get the claw tool and I was able to pick out 5 pieces that the claw could grab.. one piece was a twig about 1 inch long and 16th of an inch in diameter, another was a piece of bark about 1/4 inch long... some fairly large debris... After removing the large pieces I was unable to get the smaller pieces because the claw could not grip them. The mgr sent the csm back into the electronics to get a can of air and this blew out several more small pieces of debris..This looked like debris that was in the engine compartment and I'm not sure how they managed to get it into the TBI... especially after I told WMT not to replace the air filter when they took the service order.. At a minimum it was negligent and I'm not so sure it wasn't intentional.. I hate to say it but there was too much debris. I'm not sure how you get that much debris down there and not know it. So after removing everything that could be seen I put the cover back on and turned on the power. Thankfully the engine started. No sorry we screwed that up.. nothing.. no store mgr ..no follow up from WMT. read more
