I have yet to drive on this tire as, I walked it in to get the tire replaced.  I had the tire mounted and brought the wheel home to install it myself.  I wasn't able to notice the difference until I lowered the vehicle onto the ground. It is a very noticeable difference! I have a 2011 Mercedes E550 that has an air suspension system that lowers when not in use and I am afraid that the vehicle will now sit on the tire at the fender.  I cannot under any circumstances keep this tire, so I need to know is there anything that can be done? Tire Rack: For returns they have to be new and undamaged. My understanding is these were mounted and had the weight of the vehicle on them, which isn't great but could still be returned if the car wasn't rolled at all as otherwise we would notice on inspection and it would affect the refund as it isn't considered new at that point. Tire rack offers two tires In the same size with a variation of tread width(9.6" VS 10.4). This difference is not presented in the description. This is not my fault! Tire Rack: There was no vehicle information entered into the order so there was no site check for the vehicle. I highly suggest contacting the warranty department. Me: I did use the vehicle search. Is it really going to come down to this? I bought the replacement tire through you guys. I didn't have to do that. I did this all in good faith, was upfront & honest. This doesn't feel right. TIre Rack: The best I can do is offer you a 20% discount on the correct tire. Me: Is that the best you can do? I am going to be out of almost $1000, just to replace one tire! Tire Rack: OK, 25%... Tire Rack never even acknowledged the discrepancy. I received the most vague, indirect or weakest of excuses. Deflection and victim blaming at best! I felt forced and entrapped to continue to do business with them, as I am in a bind with no options. I bought a tire from them that failed in less than four months. Bought a replacement tire at full price, by looking at my purchase history and selecting the same tire. The tire turned out to be incorrect, due to no variation in description. I had done all of the research, furnished all the proof and still was given little to no acknowledgement at all! I have several cars and buy tires at least every two years. I haven't bought tires from Tire Rack in over 20 years. I couldn't remember why before, but boy did they remind me... Do business with them at your own risk. Ask tons of questions before you commit. Make someone contact you in writing to confirm. My initial price was incredible enough to reel me in. My overall experience was bad enough to overlook any deals in the future. I'm sorry, Discount Tire, I will never stray from you again! After doing all the math. I lost $100's in this overall experience. Update: I just got off the phone with one of the most pleasant customer service representatives I've ever experienced(Elise). She attentively listened to me rant, rage and rumble on about my experience. All while maintaining composure, she replied with full acknowledgement of my experience. She then proceeded to decrease my losses to what I thought I heard to be 25% but later discovered it was $25. After that, she attentively listened to me offer a solution to this problem to ensure that it never happens to anyone else. If you feel you are legitimately wronged in your Tire Rack experience, I recommend that you gather as much concrete proof as you can and continue to talk until someone listens. I still feel like I had to pay for Tire Racks mistake, but at least it won't happen to someone else.
