Both headlights in my car went out, and I was really stressed because I couldn't afford to pay someone to install them, and I wasn't sure how to do it myself. The manager on shift offered to help and even walked me through what to do and what not to do with the bulbs. We found this autozone via a google search to run a quick diagnostic. The techs there were top-notch. Pilot and helpful! They even went the extra mile to come out and help us look at the car. Turns out the vehicle had a sensor issue and a small part that needed some attention. But we were able to get back on the road and headed toward our destination. I heard these guys do free diagnostic testing and was pleased to find out that is true. A quick trip out to my car to do the test, then we went inside for the results, easy peasy. They promted the results for me. It wasn't a big deal, but the point is I was so grateful and I believe that service is really undervalued. This AutoZone is and remains my default auto parts store for all my vehicles. Although I don't buy some of the hard parts from them (alternators, rebuilt parts, etc.) I do patronize them for all my consumables such as oil, filters, polishes/waxes, fluids, wipers, touch-up paints, etc. On one of my more recent visits, I was assisted by their store manager, Jeff, who I never had the pleasure of meeting before. I needed a few things from behind the counter (vacuum hose, etc,) and a specialty tool that I wanted to rent from them for a few hours. Their kit was already out, so Jeff went and broke open a new tool from his rack and said to bring it back when I was done using it! Well, that was a first and very much appreciated. However, the tool did not work as I needed different notches for my application. So I took the tool back and thanked him. But still, that's the kind of folks that work there, and they're all super helpful for all of the odd-ball items some guy like me needs. Oh, I've also even converted all my cars (except my turbocharged Mazdaspeed 6) over to their AutoZone's STP branded full-synthetic high-mileage oils (made for STP by Amalie Oil Company.) As this is the closest AutoZone to where I work, I stopped in here during lunch today to have them do their free diagnostic test on my battery. I bought it less than a year ago at a different AutoZone, and I was assured that it was high quality. But after it died last week and then started slowly this morning, I decided it needed to be looked at. The guy who helped me did the test, determined that my battery was weak, and agreed that it should be replaced (for free, since it was still under warranty). He was nice enough, tried to upsell me some washers (no thanks), and then replaced the battery - all in about 10 minutes. I applaud the quick service, and I like the fact that they can look up my purchase history just using my phone number. But if I go through one more AutoZone battery (this is my third in about three years), I'm going to have to look at other options. read more

100 stars are deserved!!!!! AutoZone is AMAZING!!!! There have been several associates there that have been extremely helpful. I don't remember any names but all the associates that I've interacted with at the store on 300 East and 12300 S here in Draper have been extremely helpful. I was there earlier today for a pair of wiper blades and the guys that helped me went as far as to put them on my car for me. I didn't even ask them to put them on, however I did ask them to show me how and they went as far as to go outside in the freezing wind and put them on for me. AutoZone will always be my place to go to for my car. THANK YOU for being such an amazing company!!! All of you deserve a major pay raise!!! I've been in this store twice in the last month. 2 weeks ago, there were 3 employees and none of them were wearing masks. Today, there were 5 employees and only 1 wearing a mask. Neither the person on the phone nor the cashier knew what to do when I asked them to get me a tool behind the counter. The store was chaotic, I know it can get busy suddenly but it they shouldn't just waste everyone's time and hope for the best. Very helpful from the moment you walk in. They ask you what you need help with and then do their research on the computer. Then they take you to the aisle and show you what they have and what they recommend. They will even come out to your car and see what it is specifically you might need or what the problem is. Haven't had any bad experience here. They also seem to make an effort to save you money and avoid spending too much. Employees are smart and knowledgeable. I'm 16 and I own an Acura TL and I had to get new windshield wipers. I didn't know what kind I needed and I definitely didn't know how to install them. I walked in and right away one of the employees knew I needed some help, I don't remember his name be he was an older gentleman in his late 50's to 60's... I think. Anyone's he helped me find the right size for my car and put them on for me. Not only did he put them on but he took the time to teach me how to put them on. Absolutely wonderful customer service! Battery died on my car. Jumped it and drove into AutoZone Draper. Was helped by Richard. He came out and tested my battery, confirmed it was no good anymore. Sold me a new battery at a great price. Went outside, and proceeded to take the old one out and install the new one. He had me up and going again in less than 15 minutes from the time I drove in. Realized he was the manager of this store. I went in to this autozone today to get a new set of windshield wipers. I'm a new mom and I walked in lugging around my baby in her heavy carseat with me. There were maybe 3 or 4 guys working in there and I was the only customer in the store at the time. No one greeted or acknowledged me as I walked in, even though they all looked up and saw me as I came through the door. They just looked back away without a word to me. Two employees were in the middle of a loud conversation (yelling to each other across the store) about how they didn't feel like being at work that day and how they were "over it." My presence didn't even cause them to hesitate with what they were saying. All of the employees were sitting around doing nothing. I found my windshield wipers without any assistance and made my way to the register. The man behind the register didn't say a word to me, just took the wipers out of my hand and rang them up. He actually walked away partway through the transaction without telling me where he was going or why. Even when he came back he didn't say anything to explain or apologize. As I was about to leave I tried to ask "the longer wiper is for the driver's side, right?" But didn't get my sentence all the way out before he interrupted me to say "yeah" as he walked away. I then went outside to install my new windshield wipers in the pouring rain while my baby cried in the car. Not one person asked to help me and everyone there was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I will never go to this autozone again and I plan to warn all of my friends to stay away as well. read more

Is there a zero stars option??? Went there to replace the battery in my car that was under warranty. Only had it for a year which is ridiculous. They gave me the battery and i went ahead and hooked it up. My car horn went crazy so i unhooked it. I went in and one of the salesman who came out was no help and just looked at it. Then another salesman came out and said, oh you gave him the wrong battery. They didn't care. Didn't apologize. After i got the correct battery and hooked it up the car would start but had no power. It was a cold day (below 20 degrees) and my wife and 2 young toddlers had already been sitting in the car for a long time. I went back into the store and they said, oh you probably blew a fuse or something. Again, no help. They didn't care and didn't even try to help. We had to drive in the freezing cold with no heat and the window down to a mechanic to get it fixed. What should have been a simple battery fix turned into a nightmare. Very poor customer service by the female worker. I went to this AutoZone shortly after it opened and received a Reward card. I even had points on it. She could not find my number. She questioned if I had the same number. I told her I have lived in Draper for over 19 years. She said I would receive Reward points on an $18.99 purchase, but then after the purchase and there were no points, she the back tracked and said it only applies for over $20. I then went and brought another $18.99 item after canceling the first one. After the purchase I see there is only one point. She then explains it has to be for every $20. It would have helped if she told me this so I canceled again and will never go to an AutoZone. I will tell all of my family and neighbors to stay away as well. I have previously gone to the AutoZone downtown and back then as well as when this store originally opened, the service was great. read more
