My windshield washer fluid had already frozen once when I was in Texas, and a local AutoZone there had sold me washer fluid rated only to 34°F... which clearly wasn't going to cut it. So I stopped here to make sure everything was taken care of before driving on to Casper, Wyoming. The staff was incredibly helpful. He immediately understood the situation and recommended a universal antifreeze coolant that could safely be added to my existing coolant. When I mentioned that an AutoZone in LA had sold me washer fluid rated for 34°F, he literally went "pffff." Not only did he help carry everything out to my car, but he also popped the hood and showed me exactly where to pour both the washer fluid and the coolant. Honestly, that probably saved me another 20 minutes of trying to figure it out on my own. I'd say AutoZone is my go-to place for help on road trips, and the service at this location was truly exceptional!!!

But they did sell one to me; they pointed out that it was Duralast and I had a 3 year warranty on it. It had a built code of 12/20 on it side. I bought it at Autozone 1 month after I moved to Springville in 3/21. They told me if I went to Autozone they would replace it. Two young men at Autozone admitted that it was still under warranty, but they did not find it in the system and were CLEARLY afraid of swapping it out with a new one. They said we had to wait for 10 minutes for their Manager Valentine H. He arrived and I could see why the 2 young men we so afraid. He treated me as if it was my fault the purchase was not in the system and that somehow I was trying to do something nefarious with my 18 month old battery that clearly had a 3 year warranty. In an accusatory voice Valentine said I had come by 3 months ago talking about the battery as if that was evidence of a scam. I have 5 cars, 2 of which are old Land Cruisers and have bought 2 new cars that needed batteries lately. I have no idea if I did talk with him about it, I don't remember doing so, but have no idea how that is a bad thing? I told him was first confused and did not know what I had done wrong and why he was treating me as if i was a conman. I was confused, but now I am angry. I have wandered around for 10-15 minutes before getting help when there are available associates, just to get told they didn't want to bother us. The parts I needed were behind the counter anyway!! I have never been offered to have parts tested before replacing them, so we have spent lots of money there for things that could've been fine. I was never offered their reward program so I never got to benefit from the discounts that I could have had on the $400+ we have spent there. I was told that they had change their part numbers and because of new numbering system my warranty was no longer valid. I went in with my purchase invoice and was told too bad my Alternator now longer was under warranty. I ended up purchasing another one reluctantly as I needed to get my truck working now. They tried to figure out what the problem would be and told us if we could get it going enough to get it there they could run diagnostics and let us know anything else to help solve the problem. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time instead of seeing my car driven in to the shop from a different shop. Fast forward to now, my AC went out again several weeks ago and I'll need to take it in once more to inspect what is happening. Sleezeballs. I brought in my completely dead battery under warranty. I charged it all night…read more(outside of my car) and it won't hold a charge. It won't start my car, I had a mechanic say the battery is bad and yet Oreilly's says they won't honor the warranty. They hooked it up to their machine and said, "eh it's got 11.9v and the machine says it's fine." Okay, NEWS FLASH: under 12v is dead, and you need 12.6 to start a car!!!! So clearly not only do they not know basic engine mechanics, they're useless. When I said this was ridiculous, they all literally laughed at me and said, "sucks to be you dude, talk to my manager, not me." Their manager then threatened to hold my battery hostage for TWO DAYS and laughed at me when I said all I want to do is trade in my dead battery for a new one UNDER WARRANTY (which I had the receipt for). Absolutely awful customer experience. They spent an hour charging my battery, said it was fine, and once I got home, guess what? THE BATTERY IS STILL DEAD!!!! So not only do they not know basic mechanics, they failed to honor a warranty I paid for AND LIED about my battery!!! My car started fine with my wife's battery, but with this FAULTY ONE UNDER WARRANTY, no start. What an absolute joke. I'm never shopping here again and I'll make sure no one I know does either. I filed a formal complaint with their corporate office and apparently their district manager will be following up, but avoid this place like the plague. I'll be sure to post this on every review site I find.
