He said open the remote myself and find the battery model. I asked for his help and he tried to pry open my remote with a pair of scissors. Stopped him and he said customer should open themselves. Got in line again and another younger gentleman helped me - he opened the remote, replaced the battery and even tested it on my car. I forgot to get their names. But the older guy needs to not be in customer service. Took off one star for him. Other reps at his location are amazing.

However, the staff on duty, including the so-called "manager," told me outright that because the system test showed my battery was "good," they would refuse to sell me a new one. Not refuse to install -- refuse to sell. This kind of treatment is not just unacceptable -- it's insulting. I was spoken to in a dismissive and authoritarian tone, as if I had no right to make decisions about my own vehicle. I've never encountered anything like this in over a decade in the U.S. I've already submitted formal complaints to multiple channels including AutoZone corporate and BBB. The store is now under regional review. This store is a shame to the brand, and customers -- especially minorities -- should think twice before walking through its doors.

The cashier asked me if I needed help and showed me the tire valve extenders. There was only one type of tire valve extender available--chrome for $5.39 or something. The back of the package contained some warning about the product containing lead so I decided to check out the way-busier AutoZone across the street. Advance Auto Parts is located on the Northeast corner of the W. Airport Blvd at Hwy 6 intersection. It is the northernmost store in that strip.
