Let's just say prior to this Walmart was not my favorite store. I always avoided having to go in Walmart because I felt like for some reason it gave me a stressful and hectic shopping environment. But since the pandemic I've been using their online order and curbside pickup service and it has been a savior and my go to method of weekly grocery shopping. I haven't been in a grocery store in ages! The app is really easy to order from and their curbside pickup process is extremely streamlined and synchronized with the app. Sometimes they even give you really cute freebies :) The personnel that put the groceries in my car have all been amazing and I appreciate them very much!! The only negative thing is that sometimes they give you fruit or cheese that has mold on it but they replace it for you right away no questions. I'm sure Walmart can improve on this. Overall I'm extremely happy with this free service and I hope Walmart continues to provide it! read more

Took 30 minutes for me to receive my stamps. Talked to 5 people to get me stamps that I paid for. I purchased them at 7:58pm received them 8:34.. So unorganized no one knows anything here. Purchased the stamps in self check out they said go to customer service area to pick up the stamps.. So I get there they don't have stamps either... What a joke. read more

Went out to start my truck this morning and *PFFFT* my battery was dead. I knew this was going to happen soon. So I got my truck going and headed to Walmart for a new battery. Got to the auto center there at about 7:45. I pulled up and as I got out of my truck, a man came out to help me right away. He opened my hood and checked things out, and went inside to check stock and options for my battery. He came back in a moment with 3 price range options. I made my choice, he started a work order and sent me inside. He said it would just be a few minutes. Sure enough, in 15 minutes I was done. Paid a very fair price for the battery with a 3 year warranty and was out of there and on my way to work. Excellent technician AND a very cheerful, pleasant cashier there in the automotive section.. I forgot her unusual name, but it starts with an "L". Thanks for making this so easy! read more

This used to be my go to, this store has really gone down hill. I went tonight, to take my mom for some necessities- they have detergent pods in a locked cabinet, I rang the bell for service, an employee was walking by I asked if he could unlock the cabinets- he said what do you need (it's all detergent pods in the cabinet) I respond tide pods, he unlocked it - he says which ones I said the container to the left.... Rudely he said you need to point to it... I pointed, he grabbed the container and I reached out to grab the container from him, he walked away saying they'll be placed at the register. My mom was telling me of a different time she went and used the same service bell system - after 40 minutes of waiting she got a hold of an employee walking by and the employee told her to find someone that worked in that department, she told her she's been waiting the employee told her "not my problem." I hovered between a 2 and a 3 star review. I come to this Walmart often enough because it's close to work and I can pick up a few things before heading home. Lately they've started carrying grocery items. Although the selection is slim it gets you through in a pinch (milk, eggs, orange juice, potatoes etc.) They have one hour photo service that you can upload your photos on-line and pick up the prints in store. Tobacco is usually over priced (around $7 for a pack of Camel Crush) but they have a decent selection of inexpensive brand name wines and sometimes have 36 packs of Bud Light on sale for $19.98. The express line checker will boot people who try to slide through with full carts. You can get jar candles for $4 and they last forever, they work on your patio without breaking the bank. Parking in front is horrendous. If you're only grabbing a few items park in the back and exit the store through the mall. They also have a Red Box near the front door. As long as you don't shop during peak hours you can avoid the lines and the crowds. read more

I don't have anything against WalMart, but this is by FAR the worst one I've ever been to. The parking lot is always full of cars and very dirty. The staff is usually okay. Not really willing to ask if you need help, but always willing to help if you ask for it. Except for one eternally grumpy cashier. The store is currently being re-somethinged so it is impossible to find anything. No joke, the cosmetics were in the middle of the men's clothing awhile ago. Lines are always huge. It will take twice as long to stand in line as it did to get your items. Seeing as how this is the closest WalMart to me, I know I cannot avoid it forever. But I've made a rule that I'll spend a few extra bucks to go to Target to find parking and check out in a decent amount of time... unless I can somehow make it at the opening on a weekday. read more

I guess the day after Christmas wasn't the best time to go to a Walmart. There were so many people milling around in there, and the store was a mess. I was surprised to see Bacardi on an endcap in front of the cash wrap (but I guess not all states are as uptight about liquor as Texas is). Not sure if this Wal-mart would have been better on a different day, but I try to avoid going to Wal-mart whenever possible so I may not be able to tell you. We were in the area and needed to kill sometime. So, we decided to be a bit risque and ventured into Walmart. The store wasn't as cluttered as I expected but that's not to say it wasn't a bit messy, the clientele wasn't as sketchy as I expected but that's not to say they weren't crude at all, and the staff wasn't as "zombie-like" as I expected and I really mean that. Tonight after meeting some co-worker slash friends up at Chili's Grill & Bar Family Restaurant they decided to wander through the Wal-Mart Super Center. I was pushed furiously fast in a shopping cart and almost died after going off a curb. Someone kept passing gas. And everyone wouldn't stop talking about sex. Inside it felt like the village of the damned. One person ran off to find eggs. A male librarian and I perused the wii section together and almost held hands. Two other people tormented/flirted with each other as usual. On the way out I bought the mexicans chocolate tacos, but only in exchange for the promise of a plastic bag full of savory tamales come christmas eve. SAVORY not sweet poor favor. It's Wal-Mart. This review is for the Garden Center only. This by far has to be the best garden center I have ever been to at any Walmart. I was told it was the largest in Southern California. One of the employees said they were going to make it smaller some time next year due to this being a Super Center location. Why Walmart why?? Why mess with a good thing? You can't beat their prices for all your gardening supplies there selection is amazing and so much to choose from. First of all , I am not a walmart shopper on the average. I stopped at this one waiting for Portillo's to open and pick up a few grocery items. What I found in this walmart is like any other I have been to in my area. The employees aren't lazy and they are willing to help. The lines weren't long at the checkouts and we staffed by non-ghetto people who spoke english, fluently and there were plenty of staff around the store to assist you in finding things. Perhaps is the neighborhood this is located in because the Walmart that is the closest to my home is in the Torrance 90502 zip code, which is really not Torrance at all but what is referred to as the "LA Strip" . . This Wal-Mart is HUGE. it is a super center after all. due to the fact taht is so huge, it is so hard to get any help at all in finding what you are looking for. on top of that, even when u find someone to help you, the workers there are not very knowledgable of how to help you. parking is here pretty bad. because it is located at the buena park mall, there are a lot of people that come to this wal-mart. you can find parking, it just might have to be a long ways from the actual wal-mart. read more

This review goes specifically to the pharmacy at this Walmart location. I needed some contact Lens solution and saw that it's locked up behind that glass screen. I waited patiently at the pharmacy line and when I asked them if they could open it for me the woman behind the counter said they don't open it and I should look for another Walmart employee with a vest on. Great! So I look around and after a while I found an employee but she tells me the pharmacy has the keys and I should go there....I don't have time to be sent from one place to another! The pharmacy line was too long for me. I decided to buy my solution at CVS or Walgreens. I won't ever buy it at Walmart again. Everything else at Walmart is good. read more

Avoid at all costs. Run down store, rude employees, and never any parking. Don't you dare get in anyone's way, staff or customers 'cause they'll mow you down. Last time I went to have my battery replaced under warranty, I waited 25 min for a manager. The cashier did not acknowledge me or even apologize for the wait. This isn't the first time it's happened. This barely scrapes the surface. Shop elsewhere. The problem is Walmart has certain things that other places don't have. I only come here maybe 3 times a year. And each time, I am always reminded why I don't shop there regularly. I would rather spend another 2-3% at Target where I feel good about myself after I leave the store. read more

People hear the name "Walmart" and cringe. But I don't, in fact.. I'm indifferent. I acknowledge that Walmart may be associated with a weird crowd of people and also a bit "ghetto" but I've never felt that way much at Walmart. Especially this one. Yes, it does get incredibly messy. At the same time, it's hard to blame the store for that because it's the guests that create the messes. It's a nice Walmart, really. Employees are really nice too. The store itself is big and lots of items to choose from. Their prices are considerably cheaper than many other places too. I don't come here often, and barely at all recently, but I'd recommend this Walmart over other ones! There's a McDonald's here too, right by the entrance. I haven't had any bad experiences in terms of customer service (except for the grumpy, mean-looking old lady that works in cosmetics-"excuse me! This Walmart is always busy! Overly busy. Parking lot gets crazy. Theres now alot of people outside the store who try to sell you candy. In the parking lot ive encountered many of times people trying to sell me things. I just keep walking. I really only come here when its an absolute must. Theres alot of things im not very fond of. Their self check out is now 15 items or less? Why? If im scanning stuff myself it shouldnt matter im paying for it. Ive been to self check out many times where im looking for someone to give me the bag i pay 10 cents for. I just gotta grab it myself. After a certain hour you can only use a credit card at self check out. And alot of times i cant find the help i need out on the floor . And many of times there isnt many registers open. All this worrying about small things. self check out i would be more worried about all the product that sits outside by the garden area with no one around watching. Oh and more than anything this store gets so busy people wait outside the front while they drop someone off to run in and put their hazard lights and wait there that causes alot of traffic. And people are having to go around them and it doesnt leave much walk way for the pedestrians to walk. Its crazy soo. I refrain from coming here. I dont feel free to shop as when i go to target. Considering how this corporation is run, and how it treats its employees, I guess I shouldn't really have expected to be treated with exceptional customer service or anything. I did, however, expect common courtesy. Dear sales associate Nicole from electronics, I called you today to reserve the last iPhone 5 you had in stock. I overheard your associate mutter something angrily in the distance about having me come in an hour later because you guys wanted take your lunch when I called. Cool, that's fine - I get it. I came when you asked me to come, and I let you know who I was and why I was there. I don't know if that information just slipped your mind or not, but you turned around and meandered behind the desk for a couple of minutes before starting to help another patron. Wtf? I reminded you I was there first, but you were already helping them and can't just "stop in the middle of what you're doing" to ring me up. So I wait an hour, and you're finally done with them.. and then you take a solid ten minutes to walk around and tinker with random shit behind the counter before you're good and ready to talk to me. I remind you about my request, and you inform me I can't purchase the phone under my family's phone plan because I'm not the primary account holder, even though i had called ATT beforehand to make sure they had me designated as an authorized user. Um... fine. Because I wanted to take advantage of their $127 deal on the phone, I told you clearly I wanted to open up a new account under my name. I set the goddamn phone down and stepped aside to look in my bag and when I turn around someone else is holding the box! Nicole, why the hell would you let someone else take THE LAST PHONE and not tell them you were in the middle of a transaction? You have got to be shitting me lady, not after all that. I don't write many reviews....But this one....I had to I am a Walmart customer who is not apologetic about it...I look there first....It usually fast..easy...out the door I go.. But today...I walked into a store I seldom frequent in the Buena Park Mall. I wanted to grab a cable for the PC....Everything is locked down...so i have to wait for 6 customers to ring out before the cashier can come and unlock a $19.99 item from the rack...Ok...whatever...Its not worth getting irritated over...Cashier comes over..she is very nice..and helpful...I'm happy..and off to the Services counter to send my daughter money for groceries.... I have sent too many WalMart to WalMart transfers to count....Only once did I run into an issue and it was over a form none of the other locations required... But this time...He pulls me up on the computer...and looks at my drivers license and says " I'ts expired".... Ok...What does that to do with SENDING money???...I understand on the receiving end you want proper ID...But im trying to GIVE YOU MONEY...Not GET MONEY...He makes me go out in the rain...to get my paperwork from the DMV...I do...But its the old form...not the new one...and he again rejects me at the counter....when obviously my picture is me...and the paperwork is there ....He turns to his manager and she just dismisses it...says..."We cant accept it."... Then she got upset when I pulled out my phone to take a picture of her... Told me " You cant take pictures in here!!".... We will see about that lady...: ). I can no longer accept your attitude...and your poor customer service...You will be happy to know that another store was able to help me immediately without the hassle...and the attitude.... I frequent this Walmart because of the close proximity to me. Parking sucks. It's very difficult to find close parking near the entrance; it always seems to be full! I always just park by the garden center and walk in from there. So inconvenient. The actual store is just okay. Their food selection is very minimal to supply only the basics. You wont find fancy items here as they cater to make it affordable. Their frozen food selection is very limited along with the refrigerated section. Just in general actually, they are limited in pretty much everything. Fruit and veggie selection is not as extensive as other Walmarts that i've seen, but I don't buy my produce here so it doesn't really apply to me. They really need to stock their makeup and wash sections. They are always out of so many items that I have to go to buy it somewhere else! Seriously! Why are they always out of St. Ives apricot face scrub! Ugh. I kind of wish it were a Target instead sometimes, at least they restock constantly. read more

Been going to that Walmart for the past year to cash my checks every two weeks the employee Brittany a white lady looks at my check and doesn't cash it because my ID and check address are different I understand the situation with the address but every other employee cashes my check every time . This review is about their phone customer service. First time I called, it took 59 seconds for them to even pick up. Once they picked up, I heard a bunch of noise, people talking, I said "Hello?" and then they immediately hung up on me. First time visitor to this Wal-Mart, and I can say that I was impressed with the people who works here; friendly and helpful. I was looking for some cold medicine, and the clerk was more that helpful and gave me some valuable tips and warnings of taking OTC medications. It is rare that I receive this calibre service from a Wal-Mart. I have patronized many Wal-Marts and this is by far one of the most organized and friendliest. I think by being a nice and upscale shopping center, it attracts a nicer clientele. I would also like to give kudos to the greeter, Janet; who was very friendly and down-to-earth. Janet is indicative to what a good greeter is all about; providing a great first impression for shoppers. Way to to, Wal-Mart management for securing nice and friendly people. read more

Horrible, worst Walmart have ever been to. This Walmart was closing on late March - 28-2018 I tried to self check out with just over $11.00 the machine was not working, I asked politely for help, there were 2 employees close in that area. A female employee took my credit card B of A, and kept screwing up until card was shut down for security, blunders by staff. Rudest told me that my credit card was no good. Told me that they were closed, I said I have another card, snatched it out of my hand went to the other machines, I was getting tired, aggravated. I was told ok your set. I looked at the pile of women's restocking basket Wrong basket, mine is right there. I was ignored, they lied saying the computers had shut down, store is closed /Leave. I tried to tell them but both of them wouldn't turn. Loud, clearly told them that they better clear that charge from my cards. They were asses, just ignored me. I left with nothing not even a receipt, why would I need one. They snatched credit cards out of my hands twice. Found both cards had been charged by Wal-Mart my bank of America credit card was locked, they were idiots trying the charges as if a debt cards. On both. I found charges first called BofA card services, they saw immediately it was charged over and over until security automatically shut down. Next discover card charges for over $100. Called directly to that Walmart, ask for management, was hugup on, lied to telling me that they found the error, would credit the card back fully. Nothing no reinstatement of charged funds. Over 20 hours on phone spent on this, keep put on hold then disconnect over and over again. Customer service department at one point said the errors have been found, was told to bring in the receipt, I Don"t Have Nor given receipt. The management. Employees are broken at that Wal-Mart Buena Park Absolutely horrible experience for Walmart, oh they refused to give me reason management or district office. Number, again lies telling that the regional management department was inside that store. I have had to contact the regional office before in Arizona. Customer return policy, in Arizona. The district told me my mouth is hsngimg open. She had me return immediately to that customer service. The employees who were the nine me refund or exchange totally banished it's treated with courtesy and respect after that. I called it the Walmart returns department mentality. It's shame Walmart employs. Such horrible employees, never any respect, or calling a promised return call. When I met Samuel Walton, since deceased. When shared alot in common aviation, he was balloon pilot and I was a light Aviation pilot and instructor. He kept Walmart running like a well oiled machine, unfortunately it's gone downhill as most of America population knows well . We had a great experience talking to one of the workers in the garden section named Kevin. He helped us pick out a grill and patio set and he was nice enough to bring it to our car and get it in there. He had great information about smoking meats and grilling that he shared with us. It shows he likes his job and is willing to go the extra mile. read more

There are probably hundreds of people that would take your job in a heartbeat and be grateful to be working. I could tell by your attitude and the way you rolled your eyes at me that you would rather be living off the system and have hardworking people like myself pay your way through life. You should go back to school and learn how you should treat people in general. But I can see where you get it from because your manager was just as rude. Always remember that the customers did not choose this job for you. You are the one that applied and accepted the job.
