This Wal Mart does not deserve one star! We recently moved here. I shop at Wal Mart for almost everything! The Exton location is a joke!!! I will not be giving them any of my business!!! Horrible customer service, the aisles are filthy, with items all over the place!! I was so excited that there was a Wal Mart close to where we live. My opinion has definitely changed & it only took going in there twice! I would rather drive 30-40 minutes to get to another location. It really needs new management!!! Exton PA is the worst store i have experienced in your fleet. Recently, my wife and I were trying to help a homeless man by getting him some warm boots. He has bad feet(neuropathy), shelters are full, and he is sleeping in the woods. when i ordered boots online, it said "pickup today" after order, it said, "pickup tomorrow" next day, got message that pickup would be delayed but item would be available before end of day. At end of day, I went in, it wasn't ready, looked on shelves, which were in shambles. Picked out a set of boots that were $5 more ($49 vs $44), told Customer Service Agent the whole story, and asked for $5 off the boots in stock. He said it was not possible and that there was no one in the whole store with authority to give a $5 discount on the boots. Exton PA is the worst store i have experienced in your fleet. i have found water-damaged items on the shelves, lengthy wait for pickup, errors in nearly every pickup order, terribly messy and disorganized displays. This Walmart is probably the worst in the U.S. Merchandise on floors, crowded aisles, clerks either indifferent, invisible or rude. Always long lines at the registers. No self check-outs at all (unlike every other Walmart). Managed with Soviet-era efficiency. Avoid at all costs. read more

Walmart Stinks. Only shop here if you desperately need something. They are back to their old Game of working with as little employees as possible. No help no service. Standing around for 24 minutes at order pick up after calling front desk, asking two employees for help. Being an employee of a retail store that honors what their signs says regardless if it is correct or not.. The manager alycia was full of attitude and flat out disrespectful.. she allowed me to get one bra for $3 but yet wouldn't honor the other ones.. Ordered something online and received an e-mail that it will be ready by 12:45 pm but when i went to pick it up at 4pm; 1) it wasn't ready yet 2) the item is not even in the store (false advertisement!) 3) had to wait 10 min to get someone to help me 4) Person in charge was supposed to come back in 10 min but never did. It's walmart and i know they're trying to try new things to be relevant but it's not working. MAJOR screw-up by Pharmacy!! I get several prescriptions (3) at this Exton pharmacy. But - got notified of an automatic renewal on Allipurinol - which I take for Gout. Its an oval orange tablet, and works great. I picked the prescription up a couple days ago.........opened the bottle yesterday to find NOT the orange, oval tablet, but rather 30 MYLAN 810 White Capsules!!!!???? Googled the Mylan 810 white capsules, and, here's what they are for: "MYLAN 810 MYLAN 810 (Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg) Hydrochlorothiazide is used in the treatment of high blood pressure; edema; diabetes insipidus; nephrocalcinosis; osteoporosis and belongs to the drug class thiazide diuretics. There is no proven risk in humans during pregnancy. Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg is not a controlled substance under the Controlled Substances Act (CSA)." Pretty MAJOR screwup!!! Dear Sir/Madam, You must often receive e-mails complaining about the service a customer has received. This e-mail is quite the opposite. My wife and I were shopping at the Walmart Store at 720 Indian Run Street in Exton, PA. We were shopping for a FITBIT Watch, some HD TV cables and 2 Cellular phones along with phone Plans. Your sales associate, Tyler Mansmann, in the electronics department, greeted us. The young gentleman was polite, knowledgeable, and very enthusiastic. By the way we did not know him prior to this day. We had many questions and he either answered them on the spot or found the answers quickly. The energy he displayed was outstanding. We ended up purchasing two Cell Phones, were given the information on how to set up the Walmart cell phone plans and also the HD TV cables. The FITBIT watches were not in stock but Tyler showed us how we could order them through the Walmart website. To sum up, dealing with Tyler was a very positive and educational experience and wish we could have more shopping experiences like this. Thanks Tyler & Walmart for a pleasant shopping Afternoon. The WORST place on earth to get an oil change. Told me 1 hour and an 1 1/2 later they are still "working" on it. Never have I waited this long for something soo simple. The attendant answered his personal cell phone twice in 5 min. While I waited. And an employee came in wearing a UTI t -shirt complaining about the "support manager" not being available to give his availability for scheduling. If I could have given this Walmart no stars, that's precisely what I would have done. Nevertheless, from the parking lot with carts everywhere, to the lousy customer service area, to the horrific "shelving", to the ill mannered and plain old rude cashiers, I'd suggest taking a brief drive to the Super Walmart in Gap/Parkesburg. They're much more friendly, the store is neat and well kept and the employees actually ask you if you need assistance. It's like night and day. Exton Walmart should be shut down. Oh, p.s. I neglected to mention the pharmacy. Well, if you have hours let alone days to kill, go ahead and give them a call for a prescription. I went to Walmart for an oil change that took over 1 hour and the mechanic forgot to change my oil filter. I went back the following day and another person took care of me right away. I probably won't go back for an oil change again but I would go back to the store for grocery or other stuff. The prices tend to be lower than the competitors. read more

The cold and time finally took its toll on my car battery. I read many auto battery reviews and surprisingly found over and over that the EverStart battery from Walmart got great reviews. So, I called Walmart in Exton and asked if they had the battery I needed in stock. Not only did they have it but they also did the installation. I was in and out in 15 minutes for a price that could not be beat! I am not usually a Walmart shopper but when it comes to my car, they will be the fist place I look from now on. read more

I've been to this Walmart twice in less than a week. I was there once this week when the store just opened and once when the store was close to closing. I overheard the overnight employee that works in toys laughing and talking with another employee after "helping me". She proceeded to laugh about another woman and myself looking for an item that was listed online. This was around 7:30 am in the morning. The second time I came in was tonight. Quick trip. There was a man ringing me up. He excused his self to get change for the register next to us. He asked a woman in customer service to continue helping me. She rang me out for gift cards, then immediately walked away as I was telling her I had two more items I needed to be checked out for. When the guy told her he needed to open up another register, she walked back to the register to help me. My point on both incidents is this: They are getting paid to do their job. They work in customer service. If you don't want to help the customers, you shouldn't be working in customer service. read more

The WORST walmart on the planet. Its basically a slightly upgraded dollar store. I work in the area so I figured I could run in on my lunch break and grab a few items for dinner. NOT!!!!!!!! This place has no meat department!. No produce department!. ONLY frozen or microwavable meats??? Stay away if you can or really need something cook-able. I gave one star only for the nice greeter that works there who always knowledges my toddler with a welcoming high five. I live across the street, literally 30 seconds away, and avoid this location at all cost. I will drive the extra 15 minutes to go to the king of Prussia store if I have to go to Walmart. The employees are freakin miserable, only ever 2-3 cashiers open, store is messy, and food selection sucksss. And to the people next to Subway... NO I don't want whatever it is your selling. And No Comcast, I don't have your service nor am I interested. Who wants to be bothered while they are shopping with a toddler? Exton is a prime location and it's growing rapidly with all the new thousands of apartments and houses that are being built. It'd be worth it big time to use the space from Walmart and the now closed Sams Club thats next door and make a Super Walmart in Exton and a nice training course for the employees. read more

I have been going to this Walmart for 10 years because it is the only one close to me and it is in a nice location but the workers are not nice or helpful, down right rude & so slow!!! The walmart in Exton is pitiful. I called in regards of an online pickup order, I wish I hadn't but then again if I was there in person I would have gone off on them. First time I called they tried to transfer me to the right department, I was on hold for almost 5 minutes before the operator told me nobody was at the desk, they were at break and for me to call back in 10 minutes. I shouldn't have been on hold for that long, there's more than 1 person in the store who has the capability to answer the phone to help me. So I called 30 minutes later instead of 10, again I was on hold for almost 5 minutes. So I hung up and called right back This time someone finally answered after the operator transferred me, this was the rudest person, she huffed and puffed after each question I asked (which was only 2). She made the phone call so short I was rushed off the call. I had to call Elverson for another online pickup, total different experience, I was only on hold for 15 seconds before the sweetest woman answered. She went above and beyond for me, even offered to have the item ready and waiting so when I got to the store I didn't have to wait from them to fetch it. DON'T DO THE ONLINE PICK UP OPTION AT THIS STORE. You won't get your stuff the day you've ordered it even if they have it and the website/app says you can pick it up that day. Apparently they're super busy and don't like answering the phone. Called multiple times, was transferred and never got through every single time. And if you try to talk to someone in person, they will tell you it's not their job to help you. Not kidding. Two employees said that at separate times. No wonder everyone just uses Amazon. If you can't even pick up an order the day their website says you can, what's the point? No idea how this place is still in business. My wife and I stopped by Walmart to return 2 items that didn't fit.while we were there we needed to pick up some things and we figured that we would pick up 4 prescriptions.wwe went to customer service and she was taking care of a customer before me,I thought that someone should check her for a pulse as she moved slower than slug.then i went to the pharmacy,asked if the durgs were in stock and asked to have the RX filled for what they had it was noon and I told her that I would be back in a hour.one hour later I went to the pharmacy after buying 132.00 worth of things and the people hadn't even started on my prescriptions they told me that it would be 2 more hours.i asked for my prescriptions back and the clerk said no! Today...Good Friday , a friend and I went to this Walmart location on Indian Run Street, Exton PA in need of some tulle fabric to make adult size Tutus for an up coming Relay For Life Cancer event we are involved with in May. The young man who helped us was awesome.......extremely helpful and polite. We chose two colors, needed a third but sadly they didn't have what we were looking for.....we needed the fabric cut into seven individual lengths in both colors and he was happy to do this. We explained what we needed the fabric for and he seemed genuinely interested. His name is Kevin and a department manager....If the powers that be at Walmart read this review.... please commend him on a great job. read more

This Walmart has an amazing vision center. Their docs are top notch and the prices are unbeatable. I took my daughter 8yr old here for her check up and she couldn't be happier. I ordered a TV; it was supposed to be ready for pick -up Nov. 26. It's still not ready Dec. 1. When I call the store I get shunted around to different departments but no one there picks up the phone. When I shop at this Walmart, I feel like I'm shopping amongst the lowest class people in the area. The staff is not very helpful, seems very rude, and there's never more than one or two registers open with at least 4 to 6 people in line at each one. Their bins of DVDs and selection of other entertainment items is very subpar. The organization of the clothing in the men's area has always been haphazard. I've never found anything in the right place to spend the rest your life or next to the right tag with the correct price. I will occasionally purchase their groceries, because those have a good price, And that area of the store seems more organized. But I will not go out of my way to get to this Walmart to shop unless I have to, or they have a great sale. The staff has always seemed very unfriendly, and just eager to get me out of the way so they could do whatever they wanted. Also, their gift card purchase system was a bit awry. they also wouldn't cash a check of mine that I know was drawn on an account that had appropriate funds, but yet they couldn't tell me why it wouldn't be able to be cashed. I could not understand why that would happen with a printed check. It wasn't even a personal check, it was from a major insurance company, so cashing it should not have been a problem, but apparently at Walmart it was. I'll come back, but not by choice. read more

If I could give this store ZERO stars...I definitely would. This is one of the worst customer experiences I have had. I have been managing businesses for many years now and I have never seen a situation handled so poorly. My girlfriend and I had previously ordered a product online for in-store pick-up the same day. I received an e-mail telling me that the order had been received and to wait for the e-mail telling us we could pick it up. I received the confirmation e-mail at 6:45 telling me the product was ready. My girlfriend called just to make sure she could go get it and the woman on the phone assured her that was fine. When she got there (around 7:30) she was told that she would have to pay for the product (that I had already paid for online and had been charged to my card) because we hadn't gotten a confirmation e-mail. She tried to explain that we were told we could come pick it up and that I had already paid, but she was dismissed (very rudely) by the assistant store manager and told that she would have to pay and then I would have to come in later if I wanted a refund. At this point, my card has been charged AND she has paid in the store when the whole purpose of ordering it online for in-store pick-up was to avoid this. When I called and asked to speak to the store manager...I was put on hold and nobody picked up for fifteen minutes. I then hung up and called again and spoke to the assistant manager that she had apparently dealt with. It's bad enough that he didn't introduce himself on the phone, state his title or say anything other than "hello?"...then count the fact that he kept trying to talk over me and interrupt me when I was trying to explain the situation. He proceeded to tell me that the order had been cancelled. I told him that I had gotten the confirmation e-mail that told us it was ready. He offered no help and told me that I would have to come in for a refund because it was illegal to refund my card over the phone. I told him then he should refund my girlfriend since she was still in the parking lot and could go back in. He said that also wasn't possible because she had gotten a different product than what I ordered online (she has since come home with it...it's the same thing...the exact same thing). SO I told him that since this was Walmart's mistake he needed to be accommodating me rather than inconveniencing me by having me come in. He was very rude and abrupt and told me that there was nothing he could do. I could understand him saying something like that if it hadn't been an obvious mistake on their part, but I digress. Honestly, I don't really know what I expected from an assistant manager at Walmart, but I guess it was a lot more than what I got. The whole experience was ridiculous and obnoxious and we will never be back. It makes me worried for the human race that someone this inadequate is handling these types of customer service situations. read more

I went there to get tires and an oil change. I figure I would try them since the big P Boys has been nothing but a problem for a couple years now. It's a little out of my way but it's the closest super store to me. They had my tires and installed them well enough but my problem was with my oil change. It was so funny that after this oil change my hood release latch mysteriously is snapped off/ broken and they didn't see that the hood was not secure when the job was complete. I called the store right away but naturally they say it was already broken. They even told me they had two new guys that day they were training, like that makes it okay. I had already left the premises so I couldn't prove the damage but all I know is a $30.00 oil change is now a $150.00 oil change because I'm left with getting my car fixed. The store is real nice and neat but that Service Department needs an overhaul. read more

I found a mountain bike on Walmart's website that I liked. According to the website, the bike was in stock. I drove to Walmart and sure enough my bike was there. It took me a good 15 minutes to find someone to help me in the bike department. Though I found a few employees, they told me that they couldn't help me. Finally, I found an employee who told me that the bikes were only models and that I couldn't buy them in the store. I would have to order them online. The reason being that my bike was hanging and this particular employee didn't feel like getting it down. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that there was a walkie talkie on the counter and I should as for a manager (he didn't even want to call the manager for me). No one answered. I walked to Customer Service which is an oxymoron at this point for help in getting in contact with a manager. I was told to walk around until I find an employee with a walkie talkie on their hip, that would be the manager. I finally managed to track down the manager who walked me to the bike department and asked the same lazy employee to get my bike down. The employee finally got the bike down, not before yelling at the manager about how short staffed the store was. When I complained to the manager I was told the employee was a real hard worker but was in the country only about a year and that his English wasn't that good and that I should understand. I took my bike and left. What a bunch of morons. read more
