This whole foods is located in Exton and very close to the exton mall. They have a very good collection of groceries and freshly made food. The store is kept clean and the staff is friendly. Grace at checkout took the time to help me get the bioscan setup since I was already a Prime member. I was struggling and she really helped. Very engaging. I'm in all the time, next time I'll let the Manager know how helpful Grace was today. Updated today with many more pics from my previous visit. I stopped by last weekend to get a cake for my sisters birthday. I arrived right as they opened on Saturday and the cake display was near empty. I asked the lady behind the counter if they potentially had any cakes in the back that were smaller or not smashed against the container. She rudely told me I needed to place an order online and that they only have a decorator a few times a week. You would think on a weekend they would have stocked the cakes and not just leave the damaged ones out. I called this afternoon to place an order with bakery as I was instructed, as the app wasn't working and was transferred to the bakery. I explained the situation to the bakery employee and was repeatedly told I can't place an order in store, it has to be online. I told her that I can't find the cupcake cake that I saw in store that I was told I could order, just to be told that you can't place an order for cupcakes ahead of time when i was told I could the weekend before. Very disappointed by the disconnect between staff and lack of accommodations for customers. read more

Lately I have been shopping here because some of the pricing and choices have improved. I was on a mission for some specific items only to find the person facilitating the self checkout (Amy? - could not clearly see the name as she turned away from me) on 4/13 around 1 pm did not treat everyone fairly or equally. A man with two young teenagers occupied two of the self checkouts by virtue of there being three of them. I waited for a different spot. I was directed to an end spot. There the spot next to me was occupied by a guy who had no problem being in my space. I waited since he was wrapping up but Amy said nothing even though she directed me to this "free" spot. Finally I started checking out making sure my small cart stayed in my area. I had about 10 items. When I got to item 9 or 8, Amy grams my cart and says, "Mind if I move this?" And just grabbed my cart and moved it without asking if that works for me. I finished checking out, Amy wouldn't make eye contact with me. read more

Plenty of organic options, good variety, but not necessarily the best selection in the area or an abundance of unique items. For example, Wegman's is nearby and I consistently like their cheese, wine, tea and meat selection significantly more. General items can be found elsewhere for cheaper as well. The store was clean, well-lit and had a newer, fresh feeling to it. However, it felt a bit smaller than other locations and the way some items were organized didn't necessarily entice me to explore (using cheese as an example again). Overall it's a nice option, but doesn't necessarily rank as one of my go-to markets or as a must-visit location for artisanal goods. read more

Today I went tried Pike's at the new Whole Foods in Exton. The chicken tacos on a flour tortilla were simply delicious with salsa verde, chopped onion, cilantro, and cotija cheese. Next, visit I will try the pork taco as well. They also offer a mushroom taco. My only regret is I did not order three. If you are not in the mood for taco there sre sandwiches with 5 different types of toppings. Beef Burgers, Fried Chick Breast. and the Beyond Meat Burger. All the ingredients were fresh and the chicken was well seasoned. It was during lunch time so there was a bit of a wait. This is a really nice Wholefoods. They have a very nice coffee bar and alcohol bar in Whole Foods off to the left of the main door. It's a very clean facility. I got a Cortado at their coffee bar and it was quite delicious. I am very picky about my coffee I like it strong I like espresso I like fancy looking coffee. The Cortado that I got was not as pretty as some of the ones I've had in the past but the flavor Was good. Not quite as strong as I typically get. I'd like a dark espresso or French roast But it was satisfying. They have a lot of seating in the nice open area. It was actually a relatively quiet space too. read more

I have been waiting for ages for this Whole Foods to open and was so excited when it finally did. I went here for the first time for dinner and was really disappointed with the hot foods bar. I felt like the options were limited compared to other Whole Foods that I have been to in the past. I love how big and spacious this WF is and I hope to try some of the other food options in the future. I love that there is a rooftop where you can sit and eat. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Still some improvements need to be made and hopefully in time it was get worked out. read more

Has a HORRIBLE experience here today. Went to the parking lot, and as I approached my car, a 20 something woman, who was trying to pull into a spot nearby, which was blocked by a cart, got out of her car and put the cart directly behind my car! I said "Hey! Could you move that?!" She then mouthed off to me, claiming she was going to work? I called to complain- according to Whole Foods, she did not match any employee description- must have been some transient "Amazon Shopper". Whole Foods is more expensive than other grocery stores, but I am willing to pay more for the variety and values they claim to follow. In my opinion, getting harassed and threatened in the parking lot is not consistent with what I expect from the Whole Foods brand. If "Amazon Shoppers" are diluting the brand, they need to be monitored and supervised. What I experienced was NOT ok. read more

I normally love shopping here for the Holidays mainly because they usually have a large endcap of Hanukkah items that are just better than other stores' selections. Not this year. You couldn't even find the Hanukkah stuff (the 2 stars are for the helpful employees that did find it for us). They have 2 tiny shelving units near but not on the endcaps that hold a bare minium of supplies. Candles, a couple of bags, 2 choices of cards, handful of candy, and some latke mixes. Just last year they had menorahs, dreidels, tons of candy and little gifts. I feel like they're hiding Hanukkah. There are more Holidays than just Christmas and many religions in the area. YAAAAAY there's finally a Whole Foods within reasonable driving distance from my parents' house!!! It's a large store, with wide aisles, a huge parking lot, and none of the crazy nonsense I usually run into in Los Angeles, or even the Devon location. The quality of the fruit and veggies is far superior to what I can find in winter at Giant. Lots of fantastic vegan options, like VioLife cheese, Kite Hill ravioli, so many proteins... I was so excited. The bakery has vegan cakes and cupcakes! I grabbed a vanilla cupcake and it was perfect. I have to say, the hot food bar didn't have many tempting vegan options, so I probably wouldn't come here to grab a meal unless I wanted a salad. Hopefully that changes! I'm already excited to go back and get more goodies! read more

They have some different product options for brands I like that I haven't seen in other grocery/department stores, but they are also really high on a lot of their meat. I understand it's organic and grass fed, but I've gotten the same meats organic and grass fed elsewhere for cheaper. The employees I interacted with were all super helpful and friendly, and it's nice that you can get some discounts if you're a Prime member. read more

This Whole Foods Market location has its pros and cons, but I tend to find my way back to it as a nearby resident about once a month. The seafood prices are comparable to those of other grocers, so I like to buy the seafood there when I can. The 365 brand of spices is tough to beat as well, especially the whole black peppercorns. The prepared foods section is our go-to for affordable large pizzas as take-out. Here's a (pizza) slice of advice: the shredded whole mozzarella that they use will make the pizza too greasy (unless you like that), so I'd order the mozzarella "margherita style" instead that cuts the grease to almost negligible amounts! We get at least 2 toppings per large pizza (not including the cheese), and 2 large pizzas are $26 right now! It's a great deal for us! Finally, as much as I'd like to shop-and-dine at a Whole Foods, I would try to avoid going to the bathroom at this location because it's one stall per gender and it doesn't seem like there is anyone delegated to the task of maintaining them...yet. I'll make sure to update this review once this changes, but until then: take-out and groceries will do! read more

So I bought some oysters from the seafood counter at the Exton Whole Foods today. They had about five varieties available. Each one had a label that said "product of the USA". When I asked the kid working the counter where specifically the "moonstone oysters" were from he looked at the label then he told me "they're from the USA". I thought I'd get a better answer than that. Maybe I am expecting too much from the counter help. I learned from Google that "Moonstone Oysters are an East Coast oyster from one of the Massachusetts & Rhode Island oyster appellations. Just ran in here to get my daughter her favorite dessert of Mochi Vanilla ice cream. This store was beautiful!! Clean, well lit and helpful friendly associates. They have a wine area that has so many options. I also admired the coffee/ cold pressed juice/ smoothie bar although I didn't get anything I LOVED what they had to offer! Love this store. Really beautiful design, with lots of space, light, and cool things on the walls. I particularly like the Pub (great bartenders!), the salad bar, as well as the free Friday Cheese Tasting nights, and I recommend the Açaí bowl (though it's a little cold!). Everything you've heard and seen about whole foods is true, including the pricing, quality, and staff friendliness. The layout of store is similar to the larger stores in the surrounding areas. We went there for one thing (fresh bread) but ended up with more things than expected (typical :)). We will be going out of the way to pick produce than to stick with Wegman's. I shop and eat here often. The salad bar is consistently good. There is a huge variety of healthy choices rolled out every morning. The hot bar is another story. It has become very tired , same old hot choices that look pretty bad by dinner time. The breakfast bar is inconsistent. It really depends on who is working in the prep area each morning. Scrambled eggs can be very good to inedible. An example of inedible eggs are the ones prepped by someone who thinks eggs should sit in water. Who's managing the prep area those mornings? Pizza. This is another item that has become inconsistent and looks really bad some nights. Seems they can't make the crust the same two nights in a row. I was so excited for this store to open but it has been a bit a of a disappointment. The grocery department is fine and on par with other Whole Foods. However, the prepared food is definitely lacking compared to Devon or Newtown Square stores. I was hoping it was because the store was new and they were working the kinks out but the problems continue. The pizza is selection is slim and generally not fresh. Baked goods are limited and keep getting smaller in size, and hot bar is the same food everyday- hot turkey and gravy, and Indian food. I like both, but everyday?? Whoever is in charge of this store needs to take a field trip to Newtown Square or Devon Whole Foods and get this store up to snuff!! And if you think no one noticed you shrinking the sour dough bread, I did. read more

Super nice and super clean! I've even been in their back rooms as a contractor and you can be confident in what you are getting here. Great culture and great management staff. They always have a great selection in their prepared foods area and food bars. There's also a roof top bar and lounge where they have live music on occasion in season. Too much soy, 365 brand products all taste like chemicals. Ever since this corporation was bought by bezos it has become a polished turd. Most of what's sold here is just overpriced versions of the same junk. These stores are all industrialized and bland now. Sad but at least some of the food is still indeed "whole" so I continue to shop here. We have shopped at Whole Foods Devon and Glen Mills for a long time, they are great stores. We were thrilled to have the new Exton store open as it is much closer to home. We are very disappointed with this new store. We have had to return spoiled food from the olive bar once and we have purchased pricey cheeses on three occasions which we had found to be spoiled - twice we returned the products for credit, and the most recent, we just threw away vowing to ourselves that this would be the last time. Other annoying things you won't find at the other above mentioned stores is the lack of attention to produce. It is not uncommon to lift a melon or some other produce item and find it to be rotten - including the "webbing" build-up from being unattended for a long period of time. This store has been open for over 6 months now. I hope they get their act together soon. read more

STAY AWAY from Senior hour, 7-8 The store is teeming with personal prime shoppers filling orders all under 30. Gathering and chatting at ends of aisles. It was terrible. In and out in 23 min. and will not return. No point having hours for seniors, carding us at the door in arms reach to see our id and then we shop with the younger folks scurrying about. ***Bakery Review*** Not a Whole Foods person since we don't live near one. Use to only go to Whole Foods for their bakery (the one in Concordville). Loved their bakery! We were in the area of Exton and wanted some baked goods from Whole Foods. It was the end of the day and with covid all baked goods everywhere are individually wrapped. We had high expectations but was just disappointed. We got a danish, a donut and a cupcake. They were all bland, stale, even the cupcake which looked fresh was disappointing. Wawa's baked good, individually wrapped at the end of the day, tastes way better and is half the price, which says a lot. It could be just this location but we'll definitely not be going their for some baked snacks. read more

This is a stunning store. Of course it just opened yesterday. Finally a worthy competitor for Wegmans. Sparking store with many smiling faces. They have their game together from the moment they opened the doors. How you can do that is beyond me. Especially with a store this large. Great produce section. The meat cases are special. Everything is well stocked. The coffee bar is outstanding. The Pizza space has a dozen selections. Prepared foods looks better then any whole food I've visited. Prices are better since Amazon took over. My only complaint is the cheese area is not as user friendly as most Whole Foods. I like a person behind the counter to answer questions. What a great trip today! I got everything I needed for a dinner party including vegan prepared foods! The woman who waited on me in the seafood department was really friendly and helpful. And they have deveined shrimp!!! I've noticed that when you ask someone where something is located they walk you to it, such a nice touch. The crab cakes are the best here!
