If you told me two months ago that I'd be giving Walmart 5 stars, I wouldn't believe you. Alas, here I am, writing a glowing review for the big-box store everybody knows I hate. While I still prefer Target and local stores to Walmart, this certain store isn't too shabby. The customer service is top-notch (save for a few grumbling cashiers, but what Walmart DOESN'T have those?) I bought an intex air mattress here. That was 6 weeks ago, and I'm on my FIFTH air mattress! Seriously, Intex is a terrible brand. Their air mattresses are guaranteed to leak within the first two weeks of use. Don't ever buy one. Consider yourself warned! Anyway, the nice ladies at the customer service counter were very understanding and i was able to exchange the air mattresses without any trouble. Yesterday, when I woke up with a sore back and yet another deflated Intex air mattress, I was hesitant to bring it back to Walmart... again. I didn't want them to go, "Oh, great, here comes the crazy air mattress lady again." So I called Walmart and explained my situation. The lady on the phone was all, "Of course! Come on by and we'll exchange it for you!" So I went. I brought another Intex air mattress to the counter (just because I couldn't find anything else that looked good). The lady took one look at the box and asked me, "Are you sure you want to get that?" She then told me that Intex air mattresses leak all the time and I'd be better off getting another brand. She was very helpful and gave me tips. I ended up taking her advice and getting a MainStay air mattress. She was very cool and helpful (and she probably saved me 10 more trips to Walmart!) I don't know about you, but I'm definitely not used to encountering nice employees at Walmart. Where I come from (Chicago), Walmart is widely considered to be dirty, ghetto, and unfriendly. I hate Walmart, and frankly can't remember the last time I was even in one. But, we were on a quest for pumpkins the weekend before Halloween and this was a last ditch effort to find some that were carveable and weren't completely rotted. We found a couple here, after digging through a mess of rotted ones. Then, we went inside to find tea light candles, and we had to ask two employees where to find them. The first was very non-commmital, "I have no idea", laughing at his inability to help us out. The second pointed in a very general direction toward the back of the store. Um, thanks. Wandering around toward the general back of the store location reminded me why I don't shop at Walmart, this one in particular. The aisles are claustrophobic, and the "open walkways" are crammed full of bins selling cheap and useless crap. There is no logical flow or placement of items. The lighting was dim and overall I just felt dirty in this store. read more

The pharmacy staff at this Walmart are excellent! I received my Covid vaccine from Charlotte who was very friendly and super efficient. Lala has gone over and beyond to help us schedule our daughter for one of their leftover/cancellation doses for our daughter. We have talked to pharmacies all over Colorado, looking for leftover/cancellation vaccines and have yet to have such helpful and friendly interactions. Highly recommend this pharmacy! read more

I usually get really upset when I visit this location because they're usually understaffed, but this visit was different. Rafael in electronics was very helpful. I hate all Walmarts. It's not a place I approve of shopping. But out here there are only so many options when you need a car battery. Since we made the trip out here, we figured we should go ahead and stock up on other things we needed. However, because it's the day after July 4th, they were out of/low on a lot of essentials. I didn't know that was something that could actually happen at a Walmart! They were completely out of eggs, the selection of bacon was pretty picked over and they only had one brand of half and half left. On top of this, we had very poor service. As I said, the reason we came here was for our car battery that had died while still under warranty. After entering the store the first thing we did was visit the Customer Service desk to ask how to go about the exchange. The woman barely cared and waved us to the back of the store. We picked up the new battery and the rest of the groceries we needed and went to the check out. The woman at the check out didn't seem to understand the whole warranty thing and told us we'd have to take care of it at Customer Service. At customer service they looked at our receipt and said, "Well, she took off for the core." (whatever that is). So we explained the warranty situation AGAIN. The woman who had originally directed us to the back said, "Oh....well...I didn't KNOW that's what you needed to do." We remained pleasant and smiled and told her we mustn't have been very clear. And she said, " No, you weren't." After another five minutes of messing around on the computer and calling an assistant manager we finally got everything taken care of. This is what happens when you don't treat your employees with respect - they don't treat your customers with respect. read more

Unbelievable. In an area that's 12 miles from Breckenridge they have an antiquated Store like this that doesn't even have a true grocery Dept. Go to the "Super Wal Mart" in Avon, it's worth the 1/2 hour drive. read more

I love Walmarts!!!!!! Yay!!!!! Wooo!!!!!! I can basically find anything there. I'm giving a 5-star review because I haven't encountered anything crazy at this establishment. Well, maybe one, but I'm not hot headed. There was this one time (this past Sunday to be exact) when I went and got some stuff and during check-out, the cashier told me that she had to take a phone call. Interesting enough, she did. She went somewhere and I was just standing at the checkout with all my stuff laid out on the countered. Anyways, I literally stood there for about 15 minutes because we all know I'm lazy and didn't want to put all my stuff back in my cart and move to the next lane, WHICH had no one in that lane. I was so chilled because I'm a Christian and God said to be chilled and cool to one another (it's in the Bible bro). Anyways, I finally was fed-up and packed all my stuff and moved to the next lane. I got checked out after 20 minutes instead of 2 minutes. That cashier came back finally and I can tell you she was shocked I was still there since I'm assuming she thought the moment she left to take a phone call, I would pack my stuff and move over. Not today lady! I'm a Christian and I will wait for you to come back! (Unless you take too long, then yes, I will move). Moral of the story: if your cashier at Walmart tells you that she/he needs to take a phone call, make sure you reach over the counter, grab the phone, AND throw it across the store and SMILE with a nice Christian-like rhetorical remark "WWJDB?"...(What would Jesus do b*tch?) read more

Out of stock on bagels. High prices. Small grocery with no bakery and very limited categories. Think old Wal-Mart from 12 years ago.

As far as evil Walmart goes, this particular one acts like a more of a local store. It has location specific items (i.e. snow gear), and is very small for a Walmart. They really could allocate more of a food selection with fresh items though. It's easily accessable and close to other quick stop type retail. Also, I've had good customer service here, which is a plus. read more

The worst Walmart ever! It comes down to the horrible employees hired at this Walmaert. Employee #1 I asked where the sunflower seeds were. He flatly told me "don't know what those are" I described them. He said "still don't know what those are. Never heard of 'em" He just walked off. Really? Why did he not ask another employee and try and find out. Employee #2 I was shopping in the children's department and could not find the right size. There was an employee who was clearly working that department and I inquired about the size. Her response..."I don't speak English ". What??? Why does she have a public facing job in an English speaking country?? Employee #3 Finally made it to the check stand. The employee was just standing there staring off in to space. I finally said hello. This jolted her out of her stupor. She acted so put out to have to check me out. It was 9:30 PM and I said "long day" She just looked at me and finally muttered, I have to be here until midnight. It was clear she hated her job and would rather stand there doing nothing! Where is the management? Is good help really that tough to find? I will never step foot in that Walmart again. You will pay a little more by avoiding this place but at least the people you deal with can communicate with you. read more

In a place like this you'd kind of expect to find a Super Wal-Mart, so I was a little disappointed when I drove up and realized this place wasn't. Double check your receipts. I've been overcharged several times. My visit last week was horrific. Cashier dropped a case of water on my foot, insisting she had to lift it out of the cart instead of just scanning it with the portable scanner. Additionally I was overcharged on a car battery! No apology for dropping the case, just "oops". read more

Surprisingly, in a small mountain town, this had to be our go-to place for quite a few items. The only thing keeping this location from a 5 star is that the food selections were very unhealthy, snack foods. Granted, this is geared toward vacation happy skiiers, so I am going to give that a pass. read more

I am super disappointed in my experience with an online order from Walmart. I purchased 3 items in one order. They all arrived in one package. I needed to return 2 of the items (they did not fit), and when I did the return online, I had to take the product to the Walmart Store. They would not let me return the 2 items in one package, so I had to PURCHASE an envelope to return one of the items. The refund won't happen for up to two weeks. I won't do that again. read more

Shop here typically just for cleaning supplies, tonight was watched with my kids the whole time we checked out by the "receipt checker" Blake, I saw him watching me and my kids, the whole time I checked out 3-4 minutes he didn't check any other receipts. Very distasteful, being a local who has come here occasionally. I have respect throughout the community. Was it that I was accompanied by latin kids, my kids. Was not looking forward to having to return a TV to Walmart due to a broken part. Was bought on-line and the local store did not carry (nor was it still available online). Marco at Customer Service was GREAT! He took our TV back and even walked to the back of the store with us to look at other options for TVs. He then worked with the Electronics Manager to reduce the cost of a different model to match the cost of the TV we returned. Great service from Marco! read more

As far as Walmarts go, its below average, not near enough in stock, always out of items & their Pharmacy is TERRIBLE!!! They have really friendly staff though, & I love a few of the checkers! The return area (customer help) is usually abrupt & rude. The store is not ever clean, & its crowded & noisy BUT... its Walmart & they do offer the best prices anywhere around. & are convenient, so I'll give them 3 stars! read more

Came into this Wal-Mart with my wife to return some T-Shirts and purchase a cooler. My wife waited for 15 minutes at the "Customer Service" line and was never even acknowledged. When she turned in the items she commented on the reason for the return, yet still no acknowledgement. The two ladies which were at the desk were named Heather and Baab. When we were finally checked out, Baab had a very rude and snarky tone. Extremely unprofessional behavior and anything but "Customer Service". These ladies need to be written up and given stocking responsibilities so they can stay as far away from customers as possible. read more

WOW! So, I am not a fan of Walmart anyway....but, this Walmart was the WORST! We were there on a Sunday evening and the shelves were literally bare. It was shocking! Milk, eggs, bread, yogurt....all of the basics were almost completely depleted. It was crazy! This has to be the absolutely worst Walmart I have ever been to. The locals laugh and say "you should have seen it before they remodeled." You would think since it's right off I70 and in the middle of several major ski resorts (Breck, Copper, Keystone A Basin, Loveland, etc) that a Super Walmart would be perfect in that location. There is lots of summer business, also, since it's right by Lake Dillon, mountain biking, hiking, summer visitors, I don't go there unless I absolutely can't find that I want at Target.
