RUDE COUNTER EMPLOYEES - I would give a minus five to the counter employees if I could. I spoke with two employees and both were abrupt and not helpful. My order was four tires and apparently at the time they only had three and cancelled the fourth. When I checked in, the female employee said it is not available at that location and Walmart's system does not check other stores for transfer to complete the orders, so I should have shopped other Walmart stores to find the fourth myself. That information is not clear on the website and I checked online and the tire is available today at the Landover Hills location even though she said it was not available! Also, when I picked up the car the male employee was very rude when I asked about the road hazard warranty, he just shoved the work order at me and said it's there read it, without even looking at me. On a positive note, the tire technicians were very nice and work was completed quickly. I contacted Walmart's Customer Service and they offered a gift card and much apologies for the poor service. read more

This is the closest Walmart to my house. Growing up I used to always go to the one in Bowie... Memories of long lines and the chaotic parking lot... I remember we used to have to park at the tail end, whew! This Walmart is a tad different in the sense that while it is close-ish to some other stores, it's basically by itself in that part of the parking lot.... And somehow it still gets really chaotic lol!! Each row for parking is one-way to alleviate that, and the parking spaces are slanted. Unfortunately, people drive through empty parking spaces between the rows and many do not obey the one-way direction.... Definitely almost seen a couple of accidents. As for the store itself... Plenty of checkout lines, and hurray for self-checkout! There are only two specific items I go for, as I have plenty of options closer to home -- usually I do online shopping with Walmart... But whew, that's a whole other story. Back when I used to shop with them a lot, I'd say that maybe half of my orders got cancelled abruptly... What a pain. Anywho, I always find what I'm looking for in the store, but recently I seem to be grabbing the last of the items I want. Scary inventory there! I'd say the worst thing about this Walmart is the parking lot... Otherwise it's a standard location. Inventory options are probably better at other locations, though. Happy 2024! read more

Walmart in Landover Maryland. This location is around all kinds of stores and restaurants. The Walmart is little far from the road. They do have a lot of parking area the store. Parking is free. Our visit was Thursday July 6, 2023. As you drive up to the Walmart, You just see a really big building. It's like any other Walmart that is out there. You walk inside and the staff members greet you at the door. You have the food on the left and the all the clothes on the right. All the electronics is in the back and all the other stuff is around. This location is mostly like any other setup of a Walmart. It's really easy to navigate through the Walmart since it's just a big cycle. The staff is ok. When you ask for help they really don't want to help you. I asked an employee about an item and he did go and checked if the item was on the shelf but then he walked off and I thought he was still looking for the item. He just went back to what he was doing and I asked him if they have the item or not and he said "oh it's out of stock" I just wished told me before without just walking off and not tell me anything. You can just tell that the staff members are there for a paycheck. No professional or anything. Only the greeters was the best part at the doors with customer service. They check all receipts at the door at this Walmart. This is the first Walmart I have ever seen so this. There is probably a lot of people stealing so make sure to get a receipt if you go here for shopping. The place is cleanish for a Walmart. This Walmart just look like any other Walmart inside. They do have a nail place, subway and Auntie Ann's inside. The bathrooms are just nasty. Not cleaned at all! Beware! We did not try Subway or Auntie Ann's during our visit. There is no meat, no vegetables or fruits! This is literally the first Walmart I have ever been and not have any of those items. Everything is mostly pre-made items. If you are shopping for those items then you are out of luck. Go to the store next door. They have those items for you. For me, this is literally the worst Walmart that I have ever visit. It's just kinda odd that there isn't meat and other food option available. Also the customer service needs to get way better. Being rude to customers isn't professional at all. While this Walmart always tends to have what I need when I come here, the shopping experience and dampered by the chaotic parking lot and super long checkout lines. I only come here to get certain items cheaper than going to competitors. There really aren't any good places within the district to get cheaper options for bulk items like toiletries and paper goods. You might say that you end up having to pay the same amount after you drive all the way out here but if I'm in the area or I'm doing weekend shopping it's not all that inconvenient. I could go to Costco or Giant but I can find the brands I want at Walmart. I know this isn't the experience for everyone but this is been my experience. Like I mentioned though, I take off 2 stars because this parking lot stresses me out. People all over the place, cars going the wrong way at high speeds, carts all over the place, no lighting close to the store at night. Yikes! Also, as mentioned, the front end of this store was ill-designed. The put the women's clothes and grocery aisles too close to the checkouts so people have to line up within the aisles and block other people from being able to get things from the shelves and aisles. Basically there should be more of a gap between the merchandise and checkouts for people to line up. It's hard for people to tell where the line starts or ends. I will still come here because they have what I need, it just could use a few improvements...which is odd since I believe they just had a remodel and the place still looks and feels the same. read more

go along with all the other 1 star reviews. Had an appointment 9/6 at 7am to get new tires. Got there at 7, only to have the check-in people say oh this isn't until 9/13. Nope. I have the sheet right here, says 9/6, but they wouldn't honor the appointment. Got home, and checked the website they changed the appointment on 9/6 ! to change it to 9/13. I needed one thing...one thing...ONE THING that I wasn't able to find anywhere else because it was sold out. Frantically on my way home from work one night I see the sign for Walmart. I screeched across the lanes on the highway to make the exit and zoom in here. What a HORRIBLE mistake this was. Parking is atrocious. Try to find a spot close, yeah, okay. Go to enter, guess what, go all the way around to the other door. They have the one taped off. Why? Who knows, it could just be for fun. Go inside and try to make my way to the area I need, I should have paid attention in gym class more so I could maneuver through this store. I finally get to my area, find my item, see that there is a register in this area. Seriously, as and aside, why does it feel like you walked into a prison cell when you walk into the cosmetic section? (Listen, I needed face wash, why they have it here and not with the soap, I don't know) Not surprised by this, no one was running the register in the area. I make my way up front to attempt to be rung out. What in the actual #%@* is going on here? Many, and when I say many, many registers were open. But the lines for every single register were back into the store. Not just creeping into an area, but literally halfway back into the store. Self checkout, forget it, that is about 3/4 of the way back into the store and it looks like someone was playing snake on a Nokia the way this line weaved. I did what I needed to get out of this store quicker than what I thought would have been close to an hour. And I rarely do this. I mean, you shouldn't do this, but I did. I went back to the electronics section. I rang up my face wash and went along my way. I made it back up front, out the side of doors that were operating and back to my car. When I got home I took the coldest shower to cool me down. Never in my life had I been fired up like this when going shopping. After the cold, I turned the heat up and help relieve the stress and anxiety this store gave me. read more

Someone is padding their website's reviews to make this Walmart seem more than what it is. I was there on a Saturday morning @ 10:00. There were only 2 registers open and the self checkouts. Absolutely every line had a line that went thru the clothing section. And if you've been to this Walmart you know what I'm talking about. The management is no where to be found. Also there was a man lurking in the parking lot that followed me to my vehicle and who was texting someone on his cell phone. He had no bags and no cart and acted like he was looking for his car. When he saw that I was aware of him he pretended he was getting in his van. I circled the parking lot and spotted him texting and hanging out under a tree. If I didn't know any better I believe I was a target to be abducted. This place will make you feel very uncomfortable. Do not go to this Walmart. And be very suspect of the fake reviews. They have a huge amount of stuff in the store. And, I go in off hours so I don't spend much time waiting at the cash register. I frequently order things for pickup so their staff does the gathering for me. Just yesterday I used their home delivery service again because I didn't have time to run to the store. And I find their shipping service to be very convenient because, as a Walmart+ member, there's no minimum amount I can order online. I only gave four stars because I too often have found the photo center not staffed or under staffed. I've therefore given up on using their photo service. read more

This location seemed much larger than some of the other stores that I've been in. From what I can tell, it appears that the Home Section is what adds to the space here. However one thing that I was hoping for was a deli. Since today was the first time that I've ever been here, I was not sure if this location had a deli or any food at all. Other stores have it, but this one does not. The closest thing to anybfood options is the Subway sandwich store thats inside. Everything else about the store seemed normal. The place was clean and there were a lot of customers and employees. I did come here specifically to do some food shopping, so I didn't actually buy anything. However, I was able to price out some of their laptop computers, and I saw that have some decent t-shirts for the summer. read more

This is by far the most chaotic, messy Walmart I've ever been in. I went in to specifically buy men's tank tops and they're locked up. So for the next 25 minutes I wanting and rang the call button three separate times. There was one nice clerk in the boys department but she couldn't assist me as they don't give her keys and she directed me to the customer service department. So I walked back to the front of the store and there was only one employee there that wouldn't acknowledge anyone. So I finally very politely asked if he could send someone to the men's department to unlock a case. He then barked at me that he wasn't clocked in yet . It was incredibly rude and embarrassing to say the least. I've worked retail and customer service earlier in my life and this man definitely should not be working with the public in any capacity. Worst Walmart store. 1. Parking lot directions make zero sense. Traffic run into each other, and large swath of parking spaces are cordoned off, and another swath occupied by storage containers. Remaining spaces have to clear entrance or exists. 2. Store aisles are also blocked by pallets, forcing me to park the cart at end of aisle. This forces my cart to appear seemingly unattended, which is promptly removed by store clerks, and I would have the re-assemble my cart. 3. Most of the store clerks are rude, especially the older white man at the entrance, often yelling at customers as if they are criminals. He needs to go. 4. Checkout lanes have no clear directions for queues - always confusing. read more

​My disappointment with Walmart was purchasing a 65-inch television for my mother as a Christian gift. The item arrived promptly but was broken. We spent 3 hours at the location, and they refused to accept this item as defective and refund the television or provide with a new one. The store associates and Manager on Duty stated they could not return the television because it was purchased through a third-party. However, the television was purchased directly from Walmart.com using a Walmart credit card. We spoke to several employees and managers who were extremely rude and belittling. Further, we had to haul the television back to the car and back home. The employee refused to assist my mother and me with hauling this huge television back to the car. My blind mother who recently had back surgery was forced to help. I am entirely dissatisfied with the services provided by the employees at this Walmart location. Once we got home and called Walmart.com, and they stated the store could and should have accepted the item and either refunded the money or offered another television. We called this location back and attempted to explain this issue to a Manager on Duty. However, the store associates continued to place us on long holds, bounced us around to several departments whom untimely hung up on us. I only went to this store because the one in Laurel screwed up my Black Friday item online order, not telling me it was out of stock until 6 hours after I placed it and received an alert from my bank that my card had been charged. Item was shown in stock at Landover, the next closest Walmart, so I tried again. They had it but the message that it was ready to be picked up arrived 30 minutes before closing time. So I went down the next day. First unpleasant surprise: curbside pickup is a big fat lie. And it's not next to the parking lot where the sign is either, but all the way in the back of the store. I made my way through hordes who had no clue about social distancing or how to wear a mask, and was able to accept the goods, fortunately of a size and weight that I was able to carry it to the car. No wipes or sanitizer in sight. Way too crowded. Couldn't wait to get home for some alcohol, both on my hands and on the rocks. I will never go to this place again regardless of how great the deal. I've been to this Walmart three times now, and I've walked out empty handed each time because it's so poorly run that it's virtually impossible to shop here. I have literally sat in the store buying products they sell for more money on Amazon. It's really awful. First, if you're not going to have an employee willing to unlock security cases, don't lock products that cost less then $10 behind glass. For that matter, just don't lock up products that cost less than $10. Second, if you can't figure out how to restock shelves without blocking entire aisles and leaving boxes strewn everywhere, don't restock at peak traffic times. Third, figure out how to restock, say, the paper towels without leaving leaving boxes of paper towels stacked up to eye level blocking all of the products halfway across the store in the electronics section. This Wal-Mart is legit huge, but I promise that items stay out of stock here. 90 percent of the time the displays are messed up, food is spilled on the floor, items are already open, the works. The lines are ridiculously long. The employees seem to hate their job and take out those emotions on the paying customers. Customers have attitudes for no reasons, and their kids run around nearly running folks down. Good luck pushing a cart through the aisleway here, because half of the shoppers are blocking any entryway you try to use. My review is for a product I found at Walmart, Suave Cucumber & Agave Smash Body Wash. This body wash smells so good that I try to prolong my time in the shower! I'm in there inhaling the scent which is airing throughout the bathroom while getting as sudsy as much as I can. I thought I liked their Cucumber & Melon, but Honey when I tried this one that was it! I am very disappointed in the treatment I received this morning. I woke up early this morning and headed to the store to purchase a tv that was advertised for $88. This same tv was sold overnight online however the ad now said in store purchase only. I was able to get there early enough to grab the only one left on the shelf. There was an issue as the tv didn't ring up as the price advertised. When I had a chance to speak to the store manager Charlie, who refused to give me his last name, he shut me down immediately. He told me the sale was for online purchase and refused to look at the online ad which said in store purchase. I find it very sad and disappointing that the store manager refuses to hear the concerns of a customer and that he would shut me down and do it in front of the whole front line of the store. This was very early in the morning so it was not busy. What message are you sending to your staff? I was first disappointed that I couldn't purchase the tv online after several tries of having it my cart only to disappear when i hit purchase but then to go in the store and have it in my cart only to be told be told no again you almost had it. This is why people go to Amazon and Costco no hoaxes and no tricks or games. There were 4 other people who saw the ad and tried to purchase the same tv. I wish I could give a zero. I would recommend driving an extra 15 minutes if you can to drive to any Walmart except this one, which is known to be the worst in the DVM because of unprofessionalism, theft, stock issues, cleanliness issues and lack of accountability. I don't even have to read the other reviews from their low rating to know they are terrible. They need a lot of secret shopping and auditing when it comes to theft by employees and their customer service department. I spoke to at least 3 supervisors who didn't seem to care that I told them that a phone was left at the register and the person who checked me out left. To them, if no one turned in the phone, they made it seem like nothing could be done about it, even if an employee took it up. The phone never left the store. It was silenced and it rand several times in store (according to find my phone) and I think one of the employees stole it. At the end of the day, they don't answer the phones in the departments or resolve issues professionally. read more

This is another one of those weird walmarts that doesn't sell fruits and vegetables. Anyway everything else about it is good including the location. A grocery store was much needed over here.
