It's been a long time since I've been in an ordinary Walmart store. All the locations I'm used to are Super's and a few neighborhood markets. This one actually had a decent sized food section along with everything else you expect from a Walmart. I wandered through the store with a few items in mind but nothing in particular to purchase. I ended up finding a couple of items in their Halloween clearance that I picked up as gifts for my youngest child who is a big fan of the holiday.. I would say that overall it was a good shopping trip. I didn't interact with any of the employees, but it was a very good experience. I found it interesting that there was another Wal-Mart just a block or so down the road from this one. read more

This particular Walmart is located on Semoran Boulevard and I have to say, why I'm not the biggest fan of any Walmarts, this one brings it down to even lower levels. There is no staff to really help you, the people are miserable oh, and they really don't have anything honestly, useful. I was ordering some food, because my kids we're starved and we're really hungry, and we also ordered ice cream for movie night and it has still not arrived, i ordered all of it yesterday and at 4 pm yesterday it was supposed to arrive, i even PAYED extra money for it to get here by 1 pm, it's a day later and still has not arrived, i called them and the customer service was HORRIBLE!! When I ask why there's only 2 registers open and there's lines out into the clothing isles they just look @ u like uh I don't know how to answer that. This is literally the worst Walmart I have ever been to in my entire life. I don't know why I continue to keep trying to find things here because it has been made very clear to me time and time again that I am not able to find anything I need here. You would think for a Walmart you'd be able to find everything you need, but because there is a Neighborhood Walmart literally in the next plaza over...there is literally nothing here. This Walmart is a neighborhood one and is small so they don't have everything...just the basics! I went to pick up some pop, microwaveable foods and snacks while I stay at a friends place for a few days. They have a small section of vegetarian items but no vegan...regular Walmart's already have a small section so they basically have nothing lol the set up is also very random but again it's small so I get why. The Walmart at 3838 south Semoron Blvd Orlando Fl 32822 is with out a doubt one of the worst stores of all their stores . The greater Majority of the Customer Service people there, spend almost their entire day talking to each other and on the phone. They get paid to do nothing. The Managers don't care, what they are doing and the GM wont come out because that GM does not want to know what they are doing. Which is nothing. On Sunday Feb 23 around 10.30 am. I got treated to the best of nothing. Two workers One customer service person named Margrot and the Manager Sochia were of no value or help at all. The customer service person who stands in the front talking was told that the price was wrong and labeled wrong. She told me, that it was not her problem, she does not work in that section. She works for Walmart not one section Walmart pays her check not the section she stands at doing nothing. When the price is wrong any Walmart Employee should make it right. She should have given me the product at the price it said. When she can't do that, she should have immediately had the manager fix it. The manager Sochia did not do anything about anything until after their checkout machine broke. I know how to treat personal. I treated them all well as long as they did their jobs right from the start. It is the obligation Ove all employees to take care of the customers, not to say (That is not my Problem) Those customer service people need to work somewhere else. Undeniably one of the worst stores you can walk into. As organized and maintained as it seems (on a good day), the staff are always a constant toss-up, between visibly miserable, and openly nasty. Even before pandemic. The comments they make about customers, who they assume can't understand Spanish, are blatant and occur almost every time I visit. It's like shopping in a high school, with the rudest ones averaging over the age of thirty. The greeters stand in place, at each door, and openly carry conversation, instead of welcoming or checking at the exits. Even one occasion, where a gift card was going to be purchased, ended with two cashiers verbally giving up on attempting, and telling my partner that they'd have to try a different Walmart entirely. My best advice: spare yourself the stress and never go in. If you have to, be sure it's not on a weekend, or in search of produce (which they also can't carry at all. Probably a blessing). read more

We were vacationing nearby and had previously been to this particular store. We got there near closing, and so were rushed. We had probably over $350 worth of merchandise and groceries in our cart Instead of opening lines to get people checked out, they were closing them. People were lined up 30 or more deep into the clothing and food sections. Only 2 lines open, and they "closed" one of them. After that, I left my $350 merchandise sitting there and told the manager that I had never had such a horrible shopping experience in my life. read more

This Walmart is very disorganized! I have only been to this one twice and my last visit is the last time I will be going again. There is no clear indication on where the items are located. I'm aware that this was an original Walmart, but they have regular refrigerated food located in frozen isles. The floors are dirty and the workers are not professional or nice. I found some of the items I was looking for, but majority of the food isles were not organized as I have stated and lacking many items. The set-up is confusing as well! Would not recommend anyone to come that does not have very much patience. I would recommend more intense training and a deep clean. read more

I'm just updating that this place is still horrible I have a bad experience almost every time I visit. and if you can go ANY other store in the area just do it ! You will not get any help here . The workers don't want to work ! The cashier is literally scrolling on tik tok as she's scanning my items and when something scanned with the wrong price she says well that's what it says INSTEAD of verifying I had to argue with her for her to fix it . You can't label a price one thing and charge ppl another. Another time I was at self check out an item wasn't tagged I brought the item up on my phone but it scanned for more money she did not want to fix the price AGAIN. This particular Walmart location is one of the oldest in the area. It's been in the area probably now for 20 years. It has steadily morphed into a meanie supercenter. It has several aisles of grocery items. Obviously in direct competition with the Publix that is in the same shopping center. I went with my wife to the store at 3838 south Semoron Blvd in Orlando Fl 32822 around 1pm last week of Sept 2020. While my wife and i were shopping my car was struck when parked in their parking lot. When I went to complain there was no one from customer service that would help me. They all stood there doing nothing and saying nothing. They would not help me. The entire Customer Dept would not help. My wife also asked for change of twenty dollars and again they would not help. I called the Corp office three times, they took a report and did nothing. Walmart does not care about any customers in fact they could care less. I urge the entire American public to rebel against Walmart at every chance you get. Fill lawsuits, protest do whatever to send Walmart a message. read more

My car battery, Everstart Maxx 35, went bad & left me stranded. It was well under the 36 month warranty. I was forced to buy a battery from another retailer. I bring the failed battery back to Walmart looking for a pro-rated cash value back. Give me $50 or something in store credit & I'm happy. No, instead they will only give me a brand new battery in exchange rather than helping me cover the cost of the replacement. That's nice if I had not already been forced to replace it. Walmart's policy is to essentially flood our environment with a new battery that will not be used rather than doing the right thing. Probably one of the worst Walmart's I've even been too. I wish it wasn't less the 5 mins away from my home. Employees there are always rude or clueless and can't help you when you need it. They literally only keep 1 lane open (the tobacco counter one) and you are forced to do self checkout. There's always some type of problem and it's like sending an S.O.S smoke signal in order to get anyone over to help you, which defeats the purpose of and "easy" self checkout. Worst customer service in a long time. I was making an exchange and wasn't allowed because they have a new policy that is not even in the website or the cash register. The manager Jonathan was not willing to help at all. I tried to reason with him again but he disappeared after his employees called him numerous times to help me. There was one employee in the store front looking at my every move while on the phone probably talking to him letting him know the moment I left. As an experienced retail manager myself this the kind of treatment you don't give the customers. I don't recommend anyone to come back here again. Located at Lake Fredrica Shopping Center this Walmart isn't a super center, and it doesn't have a photo lab or tire and lube service area either. The only improvement requests that I can add for this store would be if they had more better staffing balanced through out the departments + more cashiers to occupy the main check-out registers area to reduce the crowded long lines/waiting time + more effective security day and night in and outside the store (Bare in mind the neighborhood people and surroundings are pretty decent, but it is still 2 miles away from the ghettos of Curry Ford Road, which sometimes attracts the lower class and criminal elements from that location), and the other improvement request is that if the majority of floor associates spoke more English when dealing with customers or be totally fluently bilingual in both English and Spanish, which is not the case in this store. But the good I can say is that they are a 24 hours open store, they have free Wi-Fi (pretty slow connection), they have a self check-out area, you can get your check cashed, do money orders, western union and even pay your O.U.C + Family Mobile utility bills at the customer service desk (From 7AM-10PM). They always have their shelves stock/full/organized, unlike other Walmarts I goto. The very few floor associates are pretty nice and handle the customers needs in a timely fashion. They have layaway available from September till December months only. You will find a touch screen Ticket Master in the Electronics Department if you want to purchase or pick up tickets. They also have a indoor Subway restaurant. This is one of my favorite Walmart store to shop at so I am giving it 4 stars. read more

I really don't like this Wal*Mart. It's dirty, unorganized, full of rude people and screaming kids and hardly anyone speaks English. The workers don't even know where the stuff in their own store is. Isn't knowing the layout of your place of employment a requirement? God forbid they ever have a fire. They wouldn't even know where the fire exits are! I am not a huge fan of this Walmart, but I frequent here since they are closest to my house. This is an older store so it is smaller then most, it does have a small grocery section with a few freezer & fridges. The other night I had to go there and it was a little scary since ALL of the lights in the parking lot were out and it was pitch black (not very secure feeling at all!), it was really weird because Publix lights were on and working. Hopefully this is not a nightly thing and they get this fixed soon! read more

Sometimes you find yourself in a situation where you truly regret the decision you made but you are too stubborn to admit it and walk away. I usually find myself in that situation every time I get in line here. I don't visit this store regularly but I have found myself heading over here for a "quick" item only to be reminded of WHY I stay away from not only this store but the entire strip mall. I have seen cars stolen from the lot in broad day light, I watched a 7 year old kick the snot out of a 15 year old and steal his wallet and I have watched an employee in the "smoking area" puke her brains out on the concrete. To say that this location is sleazy or dirty, would be a major understatement. The store is run down and has an odd smell that reminds me of stale malt liquor and sewage. The employees appear to be fresh out of County and likely all share the same half way house. This reminds me more of a prison commissary not a store I would take a family too. All of the above being said, if you are ever in need of an emotional "pick me up" and just want to feel good about your life, visit this store. The sad specimens of humanity that work and shop here will remind you that your life really isn't all that bad! At least you had enough common sense and dignity to put pants on over your underwear, unlike some of the "fashionable" trailer folk here. Geez! Needed a couple of tires and a battery terminal on my truck. Ordered the tires and went to Wal Mart on sunday where I was told "We only do emergency tire changes." One tire flat and the other ready to blow out is apparently not "emergency" enough. So I came back Monday morning and was told there was no way they could get to me Monday and Wednesday would be the earliest. They refused to make an appointment. Tuesday they took the tires to the pickup area and put them in my car when my son went to pickup groceries. We returned the tires. Wednesday went in and they couldn't find the tires. So I ordered another pair of tires which were ready Weds because all they needed to do was move them from one part of the store to the other. Thurs I went, moved the truck into position, and filled out the paperwork. That afternoon I got a nasty call from their service lead. I went to Wal Mart to find the service area closes at 3:00 PM. 3:00 PM! My truck had ben pushed back into the parking lot. Friday I went, opened the hood and saw they had NOT replaced the terminal. Well, that explains why they couldn't start it. That and the fact that they're not smart enough to realize that when the customer says "replace the terminal" that there's probably a problem. I went to the service person and told her they had not done the terminal work and the service lead comes out and starts screaming at me about how my truck had been causing them problems for 5 days. Tried to find a manager to complain, none available. Went out and started the truck and showed them it ran. The guy started screaming at me from the service bay that he wouldn't get to it till 3:00 (after they closed) and threatened that if he couldn't get it started he'd just leave it. Finally got the tires changed the next day. 6 days to change 2 tires. AND Now I find they didn't refund the returned set of tires. Buy your tires from WM then take them elsewhere. This level of incompetence, rudeness, and abuse isn't worth your money. read more

The place is dirty, and the bathroom stall I used... well, the lock wouldn't work because the door doesn't line up properly. i ordered something online and had it sent to the store for pick up. The line for customer service was insanely long so I asked a random person who works at the register where to pick my item up, they pointed me towards the back and a nice guy said he'd be with me in a minute. It was super easy to get and he was very helpful. This location was a bit far away for me, so not sure why when I ordered it it had to be at this location but my experience was good. read more

This Walmart is 3838 S Semoran electronics department. I walked in and I was the only one in the department. So, I walked around and found what I needed, but it was locked so I needed assistance. I stood at the register for a bit looking around. I saw this big white/Spanish guy who I passed in the mail isle when I first got there. He was now in the back layaway talking to another employee. I then saw them both walk down the isle beside me and walk behind me just on the other side of the main isle outside the electronics dept. I am still the only one there, so there is no way either one could not have seen me. I now look around behind me and they are there talking. After another minute I read this message on the register that says to tap here for assistance. I told myself if I hit this and one of them come over I am leaving. Sure Damm enough this jerk made me hit the assistance button before he would wait on me. Still not one other person in the department. I did not think it would really happen, but it did and caught me by surprise, so I did not leave, but said yes I need some ink. The whole time knowing what he just did, really made me feel uncomfortable and he was not friendly at all. I am not sure if he just did not like the way I looked, or does not like his job, but either way this was just piss poor service. Totally awkward situation. We stopped in to buy a phone and it took almost an hour to get it. When we checked out, got home and tried to activate the phone, twice we were cut off within the activation process. That was a 40 min. waste of time to find out we had to go back to Walmart because they failed to scan the phone properly at checkout. This was the second time we had issues with a phone purchase. Truly a disgrace to the Walmart brand!! This is probably my 2nd or 3rd review and the 1 star remains! The store has hundreds of workers, and a large majority of them just speak Spanish, which is fine except when Im looking for a particular item and they don't understand what I'm asking. I also think the upkeep of this store is poorly ran, the isles are never organized, boxes and trolleys are in the middle of the walk way. The workers are so busy socializing amongst themselves that they don't acknowledge customers, and there are more registers then there are cashiers!! One of the oldest WalMarts around... It's still an old fashioned WalMart. They don't really have food BUT people managed to grocery shop here still. When people get 100 items in their cart and try to check out thru the garden center, it's like the worst thing ever. They take forever and most people try to steal stuff. Please renovate or even just close this location. It pulls in some scummy people. Never again. Normally you have no workers to be found. Here, they are just standing around talking. It took three people to put up toilet paper. Get to the register and there are many lanes open but all of the cashiers are gathered at one talking. Then when we finally get someone's attention. She gets an item with no price. Rather than ask one of the five other employees standing around to go look and continue checking, she goes herself. I asked if there was a manager on duty, she said yes, and the manager was one in the ring of talking employees. read more

This store lacks management. Wheelchairs are part of my life now since my accident . Unfortunately Walmart doesn't believe in treating their handicap customers right . If......you find a wheelchair it'll either be sodden wet , broken , or on its way out. I actually watched one of their employees driving the wheelchair to the other side of the parking lot for a cigarette break. It's just a horrible store. It really makes you appreciate PUBLIX where shopping really is a pleasure. read more
