As CVS in Target was close thought I would go there. In the process I met with the pharmacist, Emanuel. Though he spoke softly he made it clear that he found dealing with Kaiser was a slow process. I told him that I spoke with Kaiser pharmacy and got connected promptly and was told to have the pharmacy to call me and they would transfer the prescription to me. The pharmacist basically whined very politely. Taking my business elsewhere. I can see why they rated so poorly on Yelp. Taking business elsewhere.

I found that the staff were very helpful when I asked them to check on the price of a shirt that I found that was missing its price. I am always glad with the soda selection especially Walmart's own brand of Dr. Thunder that virtually tastes exactly like Dr. Pepper. It is always a great to buy their brand of soda and the flavor is so close to the popular brands that I barely can tell the difference. However, when I meant up to my parents, my mom was very upset and was anxious to leave. Apparently, there was uninvolved parents who were so into themselves that they did not care that their children were running around and making items fall on purpose. Those parents were not watching their children. Now, some people may think what do I expect?!? This is Walmart! This is where the "wild life" ill mannered customers blend in with the mature civilized customers. Yes, I am clearly saying that is what you may expect- people with their children who do not know how to supervise their children or act in public. But then, you would not see this in say Trader Joes. Perhaps the types of customers are kind of different. It seems that way. Although, some stores also appreciate customers who tell staff about unruly customers and would be willing to go on the intercom to tell parents to supervise their children and that any broken items they will be required to pay for. Or at least have a staff person confront the customer with their unruly children to tell them to supervise their children. I never see any Walmart that does this and clearly Walmart is not a playground. I am also aware that they deal with property loss as I keep up with the news. If one of those kids ran into one of my parents who are unsteady on their feet or one of those items they dropped, one of my parents would trip on and they fell down getting hurt, I would be very upset and I would not ignore it or look the other way. The law clearly states if a customer informs a clerk that there are unruly unsupervised children, and they do nothing about it, then an elderly customer gets hurt, not only are the parents held accountable but also the store. This is because the staff were warned and still did not intervene to prevent a tragedy. Of course, I am aware that it is to the store's advantage not to do anything and hope no tragedy happens and if it does the person won't take legal action. It is better then for the store to look the other way and being that it is Walmart, it is a huge corporation. A corporation I am all to familiar with as I read at least 3 books about this successful company that was started by a determined and extremely compulsive founder Sam Walton who started the mega company by modest means. But I also know that there is such a thing as making the shopping experience for everyone to be pleasant and welcoming. That means informing people to watch their children and not allow them to misbehave. Let me suggest a recording through the intercom that comes on upon every hour that would state, parents need to supervise their children at all times and are expected to pick up any items their children drop. If any item becomes broken, then the parents will be required to pay for it. Or at least perhaps staff should take customers concerns especially those who are seniors seriously. We all hope someday we will live into old age (although we may not be looking forward to it) but it is little things like respect that matter.

OK so I called my doctor leave a message And then I still don't hear back and now it's been two weeks and I'm out of my medicine. Absolutely ridiculous when I have to drive an hour to get there because when they mail it to me, it doesn't arrive. I know that the pharmacy was waiting the doctor not giving authorization, but in the past the doctors by the pharmacy and with the way, the pharmacy treats me about 70% of the time who am I supposed to believe? I really hate having to go to this place.

I had been really grumpy because of this problem (which was not CVS fault - it was my doctor's office), but because Jane was SO nice, cheerful, professional + helpful, she eliminated all my grumpiness immediately. We enjoyed looking at some hair clips with European styles , beautiful tote bags with purple flowers , whole collections of pocket knifes. I decided to walk off a big Friday night meal by walking here to help a friend find a particular shampoo brand. I found it and decided to browse the refrigerated drink section to get something for my room. It is only two blocks above Cannery Row if you're staying in the area and a good sized parking lot if you're driving in. He started at the pickup desk who told him there were no prescriptions to pick up. So they sent him over to the "consult" counter where a young Asian woman in a white jacket was working. She was not very interested in doing more than the absolute least amount. Told him - no, no prescriptions. And in fact told him there were no prescriptions with any refills. When questioned she told him that the prescription must have been sent to a different store - excuse me??? No, it wasn't. So, she then basically told him to take it up with his doctor. When he got in the car I said, nope, this isnt right. And so we went back in. Started with the "new and improved" check in on the monitor and that person said, no, no prescriptions. And sent us over to stand in line at the Drop Off Counter where Isaiah was working. He gave a little more information, and said that actually the insurance company refused to refill it because it was "too early". Again he asked if it could ave been picked up somewhere else because the pickup date was over 2 weeks away. BUT instead of just sending us away, he stepped away and spoke with Tysin. Tysin came over and found basically the same information Isaiah had given us. But he instructed Isaiah to call the insurance company and ask where and when the prescription had been refilled since we last picked it up at the end of July. And to ask them that since it had not been refilled at this store, could the reverse the refusal and allow them to dispense it. We went to sit down while Isaiah was on the phone with the automated menu......Not even 10 minutes later he called us back, and said that the insurance company admitted it must have been a "glitch in their system" and that they reversed the refusal. And so CVS was able to dispense the refill just a few minutes later. The young Asian woman needs some retraining in customer service, and Isaiah and Tysin should be the ones to show her how it is done! Thank you, Isaiah and Tysin. You showed what customer service really means.
