Just moved to area as a Kaiser patient and needed and will be leaving Kaiser at the end of the month. Was in need of one medication and Kaiser said to go to a local pharmacy. As CVS in Target was close thought I would go there. In the process I met with the pharmacist, Emanuel. Though he spoke softly he made it clear that he found dealing with Kaiser was a slow process. I told him that I spoke with Kaiser pharmacy and got connected promptly and was told to have the pharmacy to call me and they would transfer the prescription to me. The pharmacist basically whined very politely. Taking my business elsewhere. I can see why they rated so poorly on Yelp. Taking business elsewhere. read more

The pharmacy is horrible. I recently switched from CVS in Salinas on South Main because I no longer live in Salinas. Worst decision ever. I have had issues with last two orders. Today I go and pick up my medication and asked if the Pharmasist can counsel me on how to administer the meds the lady immediately said there is instructions with pictures. I had told her I'm not familiar with this injection. I immediately left as this Pharmasist had already not greeted me and I had already felt like I was bothering her. read more

I would honestly give this place zero stars if I could. I have been filling the same prescription for my daughter for almost a year and every time I go they have it wrong, or there's no one to check you out or the cash register down or some other reason why they cannot function like an actual business. I've only continued to go here because I do so many other things in that plaza that it is convenient, but they are so incompetent that now I have to stop. Worst pharmacy experience ever. Came in today to pick up my grandma's prioritized medication, and pharmacists told us to wait 45 mins. Went to Lucky's and got done with grocery shopping, and sat down nearby the pharmacy to wait. When my grandma was called to the desk, the reddish/blonde tall woman told grandma that her medication only had 9 pills, when she was made sure that it would be 18 as usual. Grandma politely asked tall pharmacist why this happened, and she started getting rude and defensive. After my grandma accepted the 9 pill medication, we sat down to call an Uber. We only sat down for about 3 minutes when the same red hair pharmacist called us out and told us that grandma had no other medication to wait for as if we were sitting at her own house. No patience, no customer service, absolutely careless. Terrible store to get your medication. CVS, for god's sakes, do better with your staff and hire people that actually want to work here. read more

The Pharmasist is rude and always rushing. Going to give me a medication I was allergic to and asked do you want to take it or not. I told her no! You should have looked at my records on the computer when the prescription was called and let them know I was allergic. She finally called them and asked me do you want to wait ? So here I am waiting sick with a virus and many clients picking up medications. This isn't the only time they have been rude. There is a black female worker that made a comment to my face and I confronted her. I called for someone else to assist me and another female approached me to help me and she was very helpful. Then I let the manager know and he stated there were plenty of complaints about her. She still working here at cvs and doesn't have a smart attitude anylonger. read more

Every time we call, no one picks up the phone. Rings for 10+ minutes before we finally give up. Even when I've come in and gone to drop off to fill an item or even just ask a question, I am ignored for more then 10 minutes as they sit in back and talk....even the pharmacist has made eye contact and didn't come over to help. read more

Soooo... It's a nice, clean store that is well lit and well stocked. The staff is always quite friendly. 5/5 there. Whenever I've had questions, getting some help was difficult. The store seems very understaffed, so they just don't seem to have time to assist customers. 2/5 there. But the real kicker was making an appointment for a vaccination. I showed up 10 minutes before the appointment time. Then waited 40 minutes for the actual shot. The last 10 I spent standing at the pharmacy counter, unacknowledged and ignored. The gentleman who did finally give me the shot was great, and did a fine job. But c'mon, I shouldn't have to wait that long, and stand there ignored. Sorry CVS, this did not go well. The store was pretty empty at the time, so it's not like they had a line of folks waiting for their stuff. I mean, I know pharmacy staff are busy. All those incoming scripts gotta be filled! Horrible service with trying to refill a prescription at this location brought in a prescription that was 10 day late they said in their opinion but I can't drive or walk due to picthed nerve so my wife had only today off and said they thought it was it was fake and wanted to keep my prescription and during our conversation said move over I have other things to do move this was on Saturday at this location so whoever works or in charge get this under control will not recommend and mostly take my prescription somewhere else read more

This rating applies to the pharmacy only. I went in today to pickup a prescription my doctor called in yesterday I arrived at 11:45 a.m.. There was one other customer ahead of me just finishing up. I went to the pickup window and the clerk asked my name and dob which I supplied she said no prescription I said doctor called it in yesterday and she had me step tp another window. Again she asked my name and dob then said there is an order for you it will take about 20 minutes to wait in the chairs, I said OK made another purchase then sat in the chair. There were two pharmacists working a tall one with reddish blond hair and a shorter one with black hair, the shorter one disappeared and the clerk and the other one held an animated conversation with lots of laughing and walking around for about 20 minutes. The clerk asked me several times for my name and dob and said we are working on your prescription. After about 45 minutes the clerk called me up to the counter and said almost ready, during this time about 6 other customers had been waited on they were not busy with customers. The clerk again asked me for my name and dob and retrieved the prescription from the basket near the taller pharmacists bringing it to the counter and told me to swipe my drivers license. I had left my wallet in the car all I had was my credit card ready I have never needed my license before. I told her it was in the car and she said I had to swipe it. By now I had been waiting for 45 minutes and was not about to go out to my car and return to wait again. I told her to keep it I would go to Walgreens and get my prescription and will never return to CVS. I stopped and asked the store manager if he managed the pharmacy and he said no so I said I will deal with it on line and never return. read more

First of, I want to thank Aide for her great customer service that she showed my mother when she needed her dire assistance in getting the medication she needed for her medical procedure. You are awesome! As to why I'm rating this a one star is due to the horrible customer service my mom received from most of the tech working there. But the two the stand out for their horrible customer services is the African American tech and the only tech guy that works there. My mom does not speak English very well so that was already an issue when she was trying to receive help. My mom needed an important medication for her procedure that she was going to have Monday and she went into the pharmacy since Thursday asking if her medication was ready and they told her that she did not have anything ready for pick up. My mom called her Dr and stated that the pharmacy did not have any medication. The drs office told her that they had already sent out the medication but would send it again. My mom went back with the PHYSICAL APPROVED PRESCRIPTION and once again they told her they did not have anything on file for her. They did not want to assist her so automatically dismissed her. My mom then called my sister to figure out who was lying either the pharmacy or her doctors office. The drs office told my sister that from their end the medication was already sent out and was ready. Once again, my mom returned and told her the same thing there wasn't anything on file again. Friday came and my mom called her doctors office to see if they could do something about it or talk to the pharmacy and figure out what was going on so they did just that but once again the doctors office confirmed that the medication was there. My mom called me and asked to pick up the medication for her and so I did. I go and get it and I get a diff medication that was not the one she needed and had to pay $40. Saturday came and I went back to ask why the medication that she needed was not on file if the doctor had confirmed that the medication was ready for pick up. I also brought the actual physical prescription to show them. The African American girl did not even take 5 minutes to figure out why and automatically dismissed me and said it the issue was on the doctors end and to call her doctor and figure out what was going on. I go back and tell my mom and she was stressed bc it was too late to cancel her procedure or else she would automatically get charge $200 and more importantly the procedure needed to be done ASAP. Sunday came and my mom decided to give it a try one more time and that is when finally Aide or Aidi assisted my mom and took her time. Aide finally figured out that the medication had been there the WHOLE TIME. The only reason as to why nobody could find it was bc there was two profiles for my mom. THEREFORE, MY MOM COULD HAVE GOTTEN HER MEDICATION AND AVOIDED THIS HEADACHE IF THE TECHS WOULD HAVE TAKEN THEIR TIME TO ASSIT MY MOM AND NOT DISMISSED HER OR DISMISSED HER DUE THE LANGUAGE BARRIER. It's worrisome to know that these techs deal with medication and some of the customers medication is vital to them and for them to not take the time to assist a customer just because is beyond me. I spoke to the manager Sam and she was very nice and was actively listening to what I was telling her. I come to find out that the African American lady is on probation due to her having many customers complains. I understand that working in customer service is draining but it doesn't give anyone the right to be rude, disrespectful, and biased to someone who hasn't done anything and simply wants assistance. DO BETTER CVS OR HIRE ACTUAL PEOPLE THAT WANT TO BE THERE. read more

I can't even get a single word in without her cutting me off and using a passive aggressive tone. I have been trying to call all morning to get a prescription transferred over. Today is Thursday, October 20 at 11:40. My husband and I must use this pharmacy due to our insurance. Today my husband had gallbladder surgery and two meds that must be taken together were called into the pharmacy at 7 am. I arrived at 10:30 after I dropped my recovering husband off at home. I was told I needed to wait another 20 minutes. I emphasized that my husband is in pain and needs these meds SOON. I waited 20 minutes and came back. The pharmacy tech informed me that one is available OTC and would cost $8.38 out of pocket and asked if I wanted to go to the aisle to look for it. She directed me to go look for it, but neither of us could find it on the shelf. I said I didn't mind paying the money, so she told me to wait again. I emphasized AGAIN that I need to get these meds to him SOON. 15 minutes later the cashier attempted again to check me out with the prescriptions only to be told by her colleague that "I'm still working on it. It just came into my queue." After that I heard the staff talking Sh*t about me in the background. Basically, they held off on even filling it because they realized there was an OTC Option. At this point I politely called out that "my husband had gallbladder surgery several hours ago and is in pain. I'm in a bit of a time crunch here" only be to be to that they are short staffed. I'm STILL waiting over an hour later because they are "still working on it" and short staffed, which shouldn't be our problem. These people are A$$holes and have ZERO empathy or customer service skills. read more

Roberto is an exemplary employee! Management should make him management. He's kind, efficient, and is a great asset to CVS Marina. I don't know the guy, but I do know a great employee when I come across one. From the moment I walked in the door he was warm and greeted me. He's got the tech skills and soft skills. It made up for the cold pharmacy tech who rang up my prescriptions. Later I went back in when I realized I had Extra Bucks. Even the customer in front of me told Roberto the pharmacy tech was cold & rude. He was empathetic and took ownership over the issue. What a great employee! As for the store, it's clean and well organized. It feels a bit sterile though. It could just be the orientation of the pharmacy or the way some aisles run north/south and others east/west. Makes it feel like almost two stores! I would also move the refrigerated area from the back closer to the front. One thing that occurred to me; where is my beauty section? If you enter the right side doors, you basically miss it. I think rewards for staff would improve morale. Maybe employee of the week? Give out a gift certificate for the local shopping center. It might make the less than happy employees more customer-oriented. Overall, it's a good store. Get wait times down at the pharmacy, plus friendlier pharmacy techs, and the reviews might improve. read more

I go to CVS pharmacy 1-2 times a month to pick up prescriptions. I think everyone dreads going to the pharmacy, you have to wait in line(sometimes for a long time) and it's kind of a drag. However, almost every time I go in Samantha helps me and she is sooo nice and helpful. She's made going to the pharmacy not so bad. She has helped me with multiple issues with my insurance and other things that have come up and I can't say enough good things about her! read more

I needed to pick up prescriptions 3 times at this location. The first time I had no problems at all, but for some reason, after the second time they told me that they wouldn't take my insurance. That makes absolutely no sense. My insurance works at other CVS locations, but I had to pay out of pocket at this one, twice. The pharmacists are nice, but I won't be returning here. read more

I end up traveling a lot, and I've been to a lot of CVS stores in this country. Normally, they're pretty standard as, just with other chain stores, the layout has been carefully designed by experts in the retail field and dictated down to the stores via the corporate office. This one is a bit different in the layout though because it's built into either an old Rite Aid or old Eckard location. I've encountered these before, and they never seemed any different than other CVS stores. Typically, at CVS, the staff are nice, the pharmacists are helpful and the layout generally makes things easy to find. I would go in often also because I would coupons in my email. But not anymore. I'm on here (I don't normally review retail on Yelp) to say that this is an awful CVS location. The staff are mean-spirited and unhelpful, the pharmacists are apathetic and treat you like you're an idiot, and the inventory is always a bit disheveled. My wife had a horrendous experience here that was mostly the fault of the pharmacy staff and, because of that, we've sworn off CVS entirely. I ignore their coupons and will specifically look for Walgreens now when traveling. The experience was that bad that it has overshadowed the generally positive experiences I'd had in the past. It's not just that though: I thought this CVS was shit before that experience. It's obvious when you walk in. I'm just on here as a plea for you to avoid this CVS at all costs. Walgreens is two blocks away, and there are other CVS locations in the area (including Salinas, where they apparently sell alcohol to minors). Stay the hell away from this one. read more

I always forget about this CVS in Marina. I hope that's just me and not a reflection of the community, as the CVS is conveniently located in a shopping plaza amongst Chase, Save-Mart and other small stores. When I went in last Wednesday morning it was pretty quiet. There were a few employees stocking the store but other than that there were no other people around. I don't know if this is just my expectation or if CVS stores in different area are oriented differently, but I found it a bit difficult to find the items I was looking for (batteries). An employee directed me to the item location though and after that it was fine. Can't believe how expensive CR batteries are though. Ugh. read more

I was happy today with my service at CVS pharmacy. I was having a prescription filled for the first time there. I expected to have to wait an hour or have to come back another time to pick up my prescription. However when I dropped it off, the Pharm. Tech. (Aida) told me it would be like 10 minutes. So I walked down an aisle and then withing 5 minutes I heard my name over the intercom. That was fast! So I see that the ratings are low but I had no trouble today and was actually very happy with my service. read more

The staff is great during the day! The night crew needs to learn what customer service! Perla the pharmacist perhaps just hates her job. I have had to deal with her twice and she is never pleasant. She does not offer to help you even when it is your first time receiving a medication. Thankfully when I brought my 9 week old sons medicine home I looked in the bag with in a couple minutes because apparently it had to be refrigerated! I had no idea because Perla did not tell me (it was a new medication). She does not smile and is just an all around awful addition to your team. I think I will switch all of my scripts to Walgreens just so I do not have to deal with Perla. I wish my husband did not work so late or I would go during the day. The Marina location is convenient for me, but their pharmacy staffing is a joke. Don't bother going in during your lunch hour, because it'll be impossible to get back to work on time. In addition, corporate CVS is not even hiring enough staff or scheduling enough staff for them to keep up with their orders. When my dentist prescribed antibiotics and called it in at 5:00 one evening, I discussed with the dental staff whether it would be possible to wait a day. They had suggested no longer than overnight, so I was already stretching it to wait until noon. I thought for sure they'd have the prescription filled by 12:30 the next afternoon...BUT NO. And they were so busy that they could not get it done in less than half an hour, so I just had to go back to work. I'm hoping I don't have an infection started before I could start taking it that night. read more

My girlfriend had her tonsils removed. First, they only filled a partial prescription. Second, when we came in again we were told she was given a 5 day supply so we had to wait. While she's in terrible pain for the next two days, unable to get her medication. We come in on the 5th, it's not ready and the woman tells us it was actually a three day supply. So my girlfriend was crying for two days straight for no damn reason. Livid! read more
