Its frustrating if you have to reschedule. They say you can reschedule online, but then it makes you wonder why even call me to confirm saying I can call you anytime and NO ONE ANSWERS. Not in the morning when they first open not in the afternoon not at all. I am unable to reschedule online because Id rather talk to a person. There was no sitting fee, and the photographer got some great shots. They have less props than other places, but we brought our own toys, which is probably better anyway. I'm marking it down because it closed so abruptly on 6-22-2012 that we had to scramble to pick up our pictures early the very day they were delivered, or else go to Sears to get them. It was sad that the crew that had just been working so hard to take family portraits only weeks earlier were going to be unemployed almost as soon as we left -- in a location that had been there for less than a year.

Most of them have a passion for photography and one of them, specifically me, has a photography business that is striving and has learned quite a bit from working at this place. But, the business itself is garbage. For one, the prices are unreasonable. Everything is so overpriced here. The studio itself needs new backdrops due to wear and tear but the corporation that runs this studio has no urge to invest anymore money into their studios so that more profit can be made. The fact that this location used to be a Picture People is confusing. The current studio does not offer one hour lustre finish printing where the Picture People did so lots of customers come in and are disappointed to hear that the photos will not be ready on the same day. On top of all of these downfalls, the lab where the photos are physically printed does some of the sloppiest work I've seen in the industry. The ink has had issues repeatedly, the cropping is always altered and the whole idea of having to wait for photos to come within 10-15 business days is ridiculous.

I knew I wouldn't get a whole package for my budget amount and was willing to work with a photographer to have the day captured and stay within my budget. I contacted five photography vendors given to me by the venue. I explained my situation to all five, made my requests and gave my budget. One didn't even bother to contact me back. Two of them contacted me back and I could feel the snobbery and rudeness in the response - along the lines of (scoffing) "we won't do anything for that small of a budget". One was a bit nicer in their declining of accommodating my modest budget, telling me that if I found more money in my budget to get back to them. Then I heard from Lily Rose. Debbie was friendly, understanding, accommodating, and really collaborated with me and my budget to get me everything I was looking for. Communication throughout was easy and responses were prompt. The day of the wedding the two photographers showed up early and began photographing. Ashley and Mia were like members of my family. They had the list I had provided of the groups to be photographed. They had memorized the names of the wedding party and immediate family members I had listed on the questionnaire. They introduced themselves to everyone and immediately put names with faces. Them knowing the names and putting them with faces made it so much easier and efficient when taking the photos. It felt like family members were taking our photos, not some strange, random people. Ashley and Mia were professional, friendly, and thorough without wasting time. I never felt rushed, yet all of the requested groups got photographed in under the budgeted time. Mia kept asking me if there was anything else she could do for me, and they stayed past the allotted time. It was smooth, easy, and FUN! She provided all of the information about cost, format, etc beforehand with examples of prior photos; discussed background options,etc. The photo session was in her studio where you could easily access the outdoors and have inside photo sessions. It was a comfortable experience. She took many photos and wanted to make sure that you were fully satisfied with your pictures. I am considering coming back for a family portrait at some point. The final results came out roughly a week later with touch ups for any stray hairs, tilted necklaces making the photo a breeze and easier to focus on the overall look rather than knitpick small areas.
