I took my car Honda CRV 2000 (Dark Green, License # 4JTV076) to the Walmart at 4501 Rosewood Dr, Pleasanton, CA 94588 on 5/26/2012 for oil change and to purchase a spare tire to place in the back of my car. All four of the tires that I already had installed in my car were in excellent condition. Specifically three of these tires were brand new that I purchased from Dublin Honda Dealers recently for about $600 (Bridgestone tires). The technicians at Walmart, were common technician Roy 5832, Courtesy technician Michael 6495 and lower bay technician Saul 6006, Serv WRTR/Greeter Ricardo 6144, upper bay technician Efrain 4810 greeted me and worked on my car. They took one of my brand new bridge stone tire and replaced it with a brand new Good year tire, leaving me with no spare/extra tire (in my car). I realized all this today, after I took my daughter's car (Toyota Camry 1999, license number 4HDP168) to have oil change done on her car also and to purchase a spare tire to place in the trunk of her car also. The technicians at the Walmart today were; Common technician was Raul Mario Rene, Courtesy Technician was Michael 6496, Lower Bay technician was Norberto 6273, SERV WRTR/GREETER Raul Mario Rene Upper bay technician was Efrain 4810. They charged me for the tire and $10 for mounting the tire around the rim but they never placed that tire in my daughters car. When I took the cars back to Walmart today to request them to resolve issues associated with both of these purchases/services (install the bridge stone tire back, place the good year tire in my car and place the tire in my daughters car that I paid for), they refused to do it, saying they dumped the bridge stone tire that they removed from my car and they don't have it anymore, about my daughters car, they won't give me one because I am a liar. A guy came and he said he mounted the tire around the rim, placed it in the trunk of the car with his own hands. He was an assistant manager. The manager came and started to raise stupid questions, like why does the tire in the trunk of my daughters car has a neil in it. When did she have a flat tire, who fixed it, why did they not put the new tire in, etc. He was raising his eye brows like he is trying to catch some lie that I said and I was screaming that give me the tire I paid for and also give me my bridge stone tire that you removed from my other car. He started to create stories saying, he thinks, I took the car home, removed the good tire, placed the bad tire and brought it back. I wonder if Walmart has any policies and procedures, any cameras around the workers or is it a place where any one can do any type of fraud. I am scared to death though. I am a single mother and have no idea how much harm/financial damage they caused me in the past. How many new parts they removed from my car replacing with junk yard's used parts. Because all the sudden in the past couple of years, every couple of months, I started to face issues with my vehicle that involved very high cost vehicle maintenance costs. The same part that I purchased paying over $1500, I was told would last 4 years but it did not, I had to have that part replace again within a year. I spent over $1500 on bad tires. I luckily checked the tires that i purchased today, otherwise, in the past, I never looked inside my car, my tires or in the trunk of my car to see what Walmart placed or removed. Now I wonder if they really do the oil change or do they just fake. Did it ever happened to any of their other customers. Am I going to get justice? Do they have any camera's installed to see what these people did with my and my daughters car or conincidently my car was placed at a spot where the Walmart won't be able to see anything. If both of my cars were placed in that spot where it is impossible to see what actually happened then is it possible that there was a higher power behind this, who really plotted all this, such as the owner of the Walmart, Police, CIA, etc. I requested walmart to show me the video? Not sure if they would or not. I want to see it with my eyes, would they show it to me? Scary ins't it. What if tomorrow I had a flat tire while going to work, or my daughter had a flat tire while going to school? In a country like America, in a store like Walmart, I cannot imagine what I experienced. If it was a tinny little shop of an asian, hindu, pakistani, I would have believed it because they do these types of frauds all the time. I picked Walmart to have the oil change done so I don't have to deal with those type of people. I do want to hear comments on this issue. No non-sense comments though like Walmarts Manager did, twisting & manipulating the topic around, just comments on wether if any one faced this issue at Walmart or not. I could see the guys working hard and the assistant manager working with them to make sure jobs get done proper and in a timely manner. This is my first yelp review. That in itself should say how badly this bothers me. I have just returned some unopened, unused sinus medication to this location that I bought earlier today. Still have the bag and the receipt. So these two employees in the "customer service" area, who clearly had no idea what they were doing told me I was unable to return sinus medication. No we're not talking about a prescription sinus medicine or even one for which a signature is needed. No we are talking about their over the counter Walmart brand Equate sinus medicine. I had to educate these two "professionals" on the laws of this land. In order to enforce this asinine policy they must be clearly provide signage of the policy around the products and/or goods and services which cannot be returned. Furthermore I reiterated that the product had just been purchased today, I have the receipt and it had not been opened. Needless to say they returned the product, however I should not have had to go through all of that. There one of two problems in this situation. Had my oil change for my wife's Jetta, arrived a little before 10 am, was told it took 2 and 1/2 hours with 5 cars in front of me. returned at 12:30 and they had not even started. Waited until 1:30 and one guy came out and told me the oil type was not available as it's gas engine. finished the work around 2 pm so it took about 4 hours. And somehow they want to charge me $76 for it! High-mileage oil plus replacing oil filter. Unbelievable. Will never come here again ever. Previously, asked them to replace my tire and they could not get my tire off. read more

As someone who has never written a negative review, I feel that I need to warn others about this store's poor security policy. My wallet was stolen and a purchase of over $1400 was made with my stolen credit card at this Walmart. My credit card clearly states "SEE ID" on the back, as well as has my photo on it. I called and spoke to the manager to inform him that his staff is not checking IDs when stated, especially on a purchase this large. He quickly told me that they usually don't check ID at his store, and continued to rush me off the phone. I explained to him that I had filed a police report and asked if he felt that it was good store policy to not check ID on a $1400 purchase, and he responds "I hope everything turns out okay," and hangs up the phone. I will never be shopping at Walmart again, and if you do, be aware that they do not value their customers' credit security. read more

This is the worst Walmart store I have visited. They have no concept of customer service orientation at all. I went to this store and purchased some items. I used my debit card to pay and selected cash-back. The card machine asked me to confirm if I want the cash-back and I confirmed that. But to my surprise, it did not ask for PIN and it just completed the transaction. I was puzzled and asked the check-out associate on what happened. She said it went through as a credit card. I told her about the fact that I was using the debit card and I also choose the cash-back. She had no further clue so she called the supervisor named Joshua. Joshua saw me with suspicion as if I did something wrong. He told me that he can do nothing about it. He told me to buy some other item so I can get the cash-back. I asked why can't they refund one item and then I can buy that item again trying the debit option (which I am not even sure would have worked considering the first experience). Joshua pointed me to go to customer service to refund item and come back again in line. So basically spend another 20-30 min to complete this which should have worked in the first place. This is horrible, worst customer service. You have no regard or respect of customer's time and convenience. You are not showing any responsibility/accountability for mistake done by one of your system and no concept of making it easy for customer to accomplish what he/she needs. I can assume that with this attitude, this store will go downhill soon. Supervisors like Joshua are the reason Walmart gets so much negative feeling towards Walmart. Selling cheap alone is not enough Walmart, correct your attitude towards customer service or else Costco and Amazon will teach you the lesson in long run. Walmart and I have a love/hate relationship. Today, it was all hate. I'd give zero stars if I could, because that would reflect the service I received. I needed a tail light bulb, which Walmart keeps in a locked case. I contacted a male employee, who said he did not have a key but would find one. He talked to a lady in the automotive department who said there was a key back there somewhere but she was going off shift and would not help. The man could not find the key and said there was another key all the way across the store in the office and he would go get it. After 10 more minutes of waiting, I heard an announcement that someone with a key was needed in the automotive department. (I guessed that the male employee could not find a key, but he didn't bother to return and tell me that.) After another 15 minutes of waiting, I tried to contact someone in the automotive department, but there was no help to be had there. Here is the thing - it was 9:00 am on a weekday and NOT busy, lots of employees walking around but no one with a key, and I ultimately received ZERO service. Walmart will never sell a single tail light bulb from that case, because no one can get into it!! I left and bought the bulbs at AutoZone - well worth the extra dollar! Walmart owes me 30 minutes of my life back. Complete failure on all levels!!! read more

Had to make 3 trips to this store. I purchased a Better Homes and Gardens over the toilet storage tower. After taking an hour to put it together, I realized one of the pieces was faulty (missing a hole for the screw to go into) and so the tower was leaning. Returned it for the Mainstays 3 shelf bathroom storage saver. Got home to assemble it and noticed the pieces were scratched and the manual had checks on some of the pictures items in permanent marker. Okay, fine, I could deal with that. In trying to assemble it, I noticed that there were two of the bars missing. I looked at the manual and guess what?! Every other component pictured had checks near it, except the pieces that were missing. Meaning SOMEONE ELSE also purchased this same item and returned it because it was missing those two pieces. My gripe is: why resell this item when it was returned because components were missing?! Now returning this one too. read more

I went up here to get a check cashed that I received from pick and pull. All I wanted to do was cash it. Couple days before I lost my ID and it got returned to me. Although it was bent up it is still usable. So when I went to customer service to get my checked cashed the lady told me she couldn't take my ID because it was bent. Now on my card you can see my name very well and my horrible picture that it was me and on the check it clearly says all of my information. So I asked why she couldn't take it she said it was because my card was bent. But what I think was she saw it as an young African American trying to do something suspicious. She judged me from the start without even knowing what type of guy I was. I ended up getting the manager and letting them know my issue she quickly resolve it and told me she didn't know why the clerk didn't take my ID . I bought two lipsticks and wanted to return one of them but I couldn't because the SKU was not on the receipt. What happened was the cashier was just lazy and scanned one of them twice. The one I wanted to return happened to be the one that she did not scan and is now non-returnable. Ridiculous!! Walmart can't even get people who can scan items correctly. Well, I guess I should have read the reviews. They only have a 2 star rating. Well, was just notified by a regional that it's ok for cashiers to decide anyone shopping with children are "suspicious" of trying to buy alcohol for minors. No criteria whatsoever was provided no matter how many times I asked for it. But, was insistent on emphasizing that they had the right to ask or refuse service to a customer. My husband and children were asked for ID when my husband was buying a bottle of wine with the rest of supplies for a stew. The cashier told him that they didn't look like him, they were taller than him, he looked Latino and they didn't. And, while the regional person, Bathesar agreed that these comments shouldn't have been made. Oh, and he would address. He was very adamant in emphasizing that they had the right to ask for multiple ID's for anyone that the cashiers feel "uncomfortable" with selling to or "suspicious" but could give absolutely no criteria on how cashiers were supposed to determine what was "suspicious." None, zilch. Just on their own unknown criteria I guess. But, couldn't see that with no criteria, cashiers are simply profiling and making executive decisions from a non-executive level. I got 3 different explanations of even what the policy is. 2 others said that the policy was that adults shopping with kids could not buy alcohol. Bathesar seemed to need to emphasis that they have the right to ask for multiple ID's and refuse service to anyone who seemed "suspicious" or who the cashiers feared might be buying alcohol for a minor?!?! With no clear criteria of what made one adult shopping with kids more suspicious than another. The cashier just needed to feel "uncomfortable" for some unknown reason, but not profile. But, I should feel confident it will be addressed. Yea, not. Too many other places to spend my money and not be considered "suspicious." And, if they don't even know whatever their own policy is for the secret criteria of being "suspicious," then I certainly am not going to waste my time figuring it out. If I could go lower than one star if I could. It is Christmas Eve and what I went through on the phone with those people was shocking and very disturbing. I was treated so badly by employees and manager alike that I am still in tears. I called to check stock on an item. I got the store phone number off line and when I called the phone rang and rang for about 5 minutes. I figured they must be busy. Well, they finally picked up and sounded like they were dialing out. I started saying hello, hello and they hung up on me. A bit annoyed, I called again. This time 2 minutes to wait for someone to pick up. When they did, I told them I was very glad they didn't hang up this time that I had been waiting awhile. Mid sentence the employee started to yell at me telling me "I don't know why you called on this line anyway!" I told her it was the number on the computer. Again, mid sentence, she started squawking again about this being the wrong line. I told her I was just trying to check stock. Again, mid sentence, she abruptly tells me, "I can't do anything for you on this line! YOU SHOULDN"T HAVE CALLED ON THIS LINE". This went on for awhile and she hung up on me. I called back to another department hoping someone could transfer me to a manager or page a manager. When I tried to explain what happened and asked her for a manager, she too also yelled at me saying that I needed to call the store number. I told her I did! I can't get any help. I asked her to please help me and page a manager. She said she had no manager. Can you at least transfer me to electronics? I asked. When I asked her to transfer me she said she couldn't from that phone. I asked her to page a store manager or call one over so I could explain what happened on the other call. She said she couldn't do that and began yelling at me again. I told her "you people are ## crazy and hung up". I called the store number again hoping to get someone else. This person answered nicely and politely got the store manager as I had asked. The supposed manager got on and said "This is Stephen, may I help you?"When I began to tell him how badly I had been treated he quickly interrupted me and said," was this before or after you told her to go ## herself?" I said, WHAT? I never said that" He told me it was recorded. I told him he heard it wrong that I did say that "You people are ## crazy!" He began arguing with me and told me he was busy and that I could come in and talk to him another day. I was SHOCKED! He tried to brush me off, kept interrupting me and kept asking me what dept I wanted. I told him that as a manage he should at least hear me out on my bad experience. I told him I was surprised he would allow his employees to treat customers so badly. The whole time he was interrupting me and talking over me. He kept interrupting me, not willing to hear any of my complaints or hear my story, and tried to transfer me to another dept. Finally, I told him I would not do business with his store anyway. I asked his name again to confirm and he said "Jeff". Hummmm. I said, "That is not the name you gave me a minute ago". He said, very rudely, "It's the name my momma gave me! I should know it!". I hung up. I then, in tears, called the corporate office number and got customer service/complaints. After telling her my story and the clerk typing notes in (I could hear her typing) she told me the store manager Stephen would be contacting me regarding this issue. I told her that if it is the same person, I want to talk to HIS superior. She said she thought it was probably someone else impersonating him and Stephen would have to address the issue first. This is ridiculous! Isn't anyone holding this manager accountable. After reading the other posts it appears no one is watching this guy. read more

Bad experience with tires bought online. Had to wait over a month to have them delivered. When I went to pick them up I was directed to tire center for install. The center was closed during working hours because two employees had call in sick. Returned 2 weeks later and they couldn't find my tires. I requested a refund. My boyfriend and I went here this evening because they have the galaxy s3 for .97! We walked in and got to the counter and the girl at the counter first looked like she hated life. We told her we wanted to add a line to an existing account and we watched her go throught this whole process. We should have seen the red flag when she asked for all of our information, but we didn't and we proceeded and it went downhill from there. First the phone rang up as a s4 and then when she called the manager over the manager just told her to call verizon and start the whole contract over. Verizon had it as an s3 in their system and said if she cancelled it the number wouldn't be the same. Well an hour and a half later we finally got it all situated after having three managers come over. Bottom line they really messed because when we got home we saw that the phone still wasn't on the account. The girl some how created an entire new contract which lead us to be on the phone with Verizon for the last 2.5 hours. My shopping experiences at this Walmart have gotten much worse over the years - not sure if they have had a change in management, or what, but I shop at the San Ramon Walmart whenever possible.
