I love this Dollar tree. Today, I came to Dollar tree to get travel accessories that I don't mind losing if it happens. I walked in a little after 8 AM and most of the Christmas decorations were on sale for 50% off. Buying gift bags that I can use next year felt like I'm robbing the store with such great deals. The store was clean and well stopped and well organized. I made everything really easy to find, and although I came in for one thing and filled my basket up until it was overflowing, the cashier didn't seem to mind also when she was filling up balloons in the store, she noticed that I was unpacking my fully loaded basket and she seamlessly walked over to help me out. She was very kind and friendly and helped me stuff as much as I could in the bag that I brought so that I didn't have to go buy another plastic bag and it worked. I am very grateful for her assistance today. I think this is my new favorite Dollar tree location. read more

I don't leave reviews but I also never got discriminated before this so it's worth sharing my experience. I was with my mom (who also has a review on here) and we encountered an old white worker who is blatantly racist. He used weaponized incompetence to get out of any work that involved helping anyone who wasn't white, saying "I don't do that," "whoever helped you first has to do that." The only other worker there was an old Indian lady who we've encountered in past visits just fine. She already had a line which we were last to join before she ran off to help an Asian lady who just bought balloons. This Asian customer had approached him first to ask for the balloons to be filled but he was apparently too busy just standing by the carts, scrolling on his phone. My mom and I debated leaving because while the Indian lady was helping the customer, he made no effort to acknowledge or step in to help us. It wasn't until a couple, the girl being white, also joined the line so the white man finally came to his register and instead of saying he could help us directly, just said "I can help who's next" which the couple of course rushed over. At that point, our patience was basically gone but we still picked up all our stuff and put it on his belt. After helping the couple, he just walked away?? My mom was over all of this and asked him if he was just leaving while we obviously needed help to which he again excuses that he's busy pretending to move stuff on a random shelf. While I have it, not everyone needs retail experience to know checking customers out should be main priority especially with us being put on hold for the longest now. We left with no purchase or interest to return with this racist working there and I doubt anything will be done. If you're expecting a new experience, this is probably not the right place to shop. It's very similar to the other dollar stores in the area. This one seems to have a longer weight than other stores. If you're looking for something cheap, this is the right place to go. After you shop here, you can walk down to Grocery Outlet for a different experience. read more

White older male worker is racist. Completely ignoring Asian customers and purposely walked away while I just stood there and when I confronted him he claimed he was doing something when he literally just checked out a non Asian customer. He initially refused to help an Asian customer w balloons and made the only cashier walked away from her line. He waited until a couple came up behind us and says next customer and of course they rush over. Since the gal doing the balloons took awhile we decided to move to his line. When he was done w the couple he just walked away without a word. That's when I said something and he was rude as hell and I told him so. He really should not work with the public if he is being selective on who he wants to help. I'm so heated!!! I didn't even complete my purchase. I was impressed by how neatly organized the merchandise was in this store. There weren't any misplaced products and everything was perfectly lined up on the shelves. The staff and management must be doing something right because this isn't the normal experience at other dollar trees. read more

Service was bad. No eye contact from the cashier. No moving the divider for the other customers. I seriously think she was quiet quitting and the WORST part was she tried to cheat me with the "we don't have pennies. They don't give us pennies" thing just like that guy at home depot (see tic tok). I said, "Then you'll need to round up because I already paid and that is a managment problem - not a customer problem". She begrudgingly gave me a nickel and said, "I'm short now." (the register). I agreed, "Yes you are short now. You will need to discuss that with management. They are stealing from you, but they are not going to steal from me." I came here because I was looking for some penny items to donate to kids. Upon finding the items I went to purchase them and the older lady that scanned them seemed irritated that I had so much and that they were a penny that she was like bothered that here I come to grab all these things that are a penny for her to scan. Sorry thats your job. AND when something came up that wasnt a penny and I asked her to remove it .. it was like such a bother because she had to call someone over and she didnt even know what it was that came up for more and I even told her and she was all flustered and confused. ALSO Prior to that before they started allowing to sell penny items if you find them (Because they have to) this tall white guy said NO I cant or I will get in trouble. Which was total BS. First time in a dollar store in a long time! lots of great finds, many name brands, and great prices as everything is a dollar! Service: Two registers working with two staff members. Short wait 2-3 minutes in line with few in-front of us. Friendly service up front. If you're looking for help on finding items in store, this is not the place for you. Saw zero floor staff and only saw the two cashiers up front. But anyways, isles are marked well telling you which items are on each isle. Store itself: Very cluttered, many items on floor or fallen on the shelves. Does not seem to be a big priority to zone/ face the store shelves like other departments stores do. But, I digress, this store has a wonderful selection of items and other household goods. So, that can be looked past! Overall, might be one of my new go-to's for household goods ! read more

This is a very nice Dollar Tree! I live over a 20 minute drive away and have a Dollar Tree much closer to my residence - but this one on Amador Valley Blvd. in Dublin is worth the drive over. It's one of the nicest Dollar Trees I have been in. It's a larger one, very well maintained, very clean, always well stocked. The employees seem to take pride in their job here and it shows not only in how the store is maintained but in their helpfulness and the way they speak with shoppers. When I compare this to the one off San Pablo Ave in Berkeley or the one in Moraga, there is no comparison. Let's face it, this is Dollar Tree, not a glamorous store - but we appreciate the low prices on so many household goods - especially at this time, when prices are so high everywhere else. This is a really nice Dollar Tree. I have been in some really trashy Dollar Trees and you can tell the manager really cares about the appearance. The store is organized and maintained very well. Nothing on the floors and isles look nice and things can be easily found. The pet section is GREAT. They have items that other stores do not, which is nice. I was able to get my dog stocked up on some treats and I'm hoping he likes the new ones i I bought. The staff was friendly and helpful when I needed to find something since I have never been in that store before. I will be back!!! read more

The selection is decent, but the service is mid. There's always a huge line at this location and it seems like they're always understaffed. The manager is great. I've seen him help out tons of times. The store is a bit of a mess. But it's the dollar tree. You get what you come for. read more

Staying open until the actual time it says on the door. I got there five minutes before closing, knowing exactly what I need to get. Paper plates in a specific color. I would've been in and out before 10 o'clock. I didn't wait till the last minute I just had multiple stops to make but I knew I was gonna be able to make it before 10. so now, I will be shopping at a different location because if they're gonna close before the actual closing time, I don't need to be shopping there. I visited this location yesterday to get some decorations for work and it was only one person on the register. I was the one at the register but the line behind me was 3-4 people and what was upsetting was that two employees were sitting in the front by another register and seeing the long line no one came to help. Very annoying because if the two other employees were on a break why the hell would you be in the front sitting around watching. I do have to say that the lady who helped me was calm and did a awesome job. This is not ok and if the lady that was on the phone by the register was a manager you need some customer service training. read more

Open till 10 except on Sunday till 9. Ran out of my Y2K stash of Duck tape today (took 17 years) and so I came in for more Duck Tape and maybe some emergency stash of water. I'm not sure why everybody bought so much Duck Tape in the year 2000 but I guess in an emergency its good to have it around. Bought a bunch of office supplies here: white out (they have pen, tape and brush on types) and a very loud beer cozy that has a picture of a dog that looks just like my little Wrinkles. After I spotted that beer cozy I forgot all about the emergency water until I got home. Good clean store. No line at all. Cute check out lady. read more

I like this dollar tree compare to the one closer to where I lived. They say every dollar store has different stuff for sale. This one in particular i think its one of the good ones. Its well stocked, wide variety of stuff and for party needs for kids they have tons of selections and designs. The thing the I dont like here is they don't have enough cashier all the time. I swear every time I go here, lines are long because there's only 2 cash register open. I don't know why for a busy store they should open more. If you don't have patience and if your in a hurry don't bother to shop here because you will just get annoyed. read more

The line was so long Ther was only one cashier working and the lady was super rude, and tiered I was so angry with them like they had other people working Ther but they didn't work in the cashier. Great Dollar Tree. Usually what you expect from dollar stores. The area though is a little rough. A lot of people seem to be casing the cars. Love coming here for cheap holiday decorations, but seriously Shaun the cashier, take a break, go for a walk, do something so that you aren't throwing the merchandise at the customer. And it's all a dollar, why do I need to get something with a tag one time and not the next? "Go get one with a tag." OK, I leave the line and get one with a tag, come back and you tell me "this other thing didn't have a tag so I scanned another thing." So why did I need to go get a tagged one, and why are you being such a dick about it? And again, stop throwing stuff. I will only give it an average rating because sometimes it can be hard to get what you need due to stuff needing to be worked out or maybe even not carried at the moment or anymore.
