Packed floor to ceiling with everything from snacks to piñatas!

It really is a little market. Small, but mighty--literally packed wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling with all sorts of Mexican goodies from meat and produce to piñatas and plaster figurines hecho en Mexico. They have fresh-made tomales--my favorite is the sweet corn tamale. They don't have the sweet corn tomales often, but they are amazing. Almost like a dessert!

This is a hidden Gem in the Tri-Valley. The guy at the meat counter is friendly and knowledgeable. The other staff were personable. This is a Mom and Pop type market. If you want snob service and someone to stoke your ego, Stay at Home. When I BBQ this the Carne Asada go to!

I'm so happy I found this gem. I'm from Los Angeles so stores like this are everywhere. It brought me back home; the rancheras, pan dulce and meats of all kind. I'll be frequenting this cute store more often! Got all the ingredients to make fideo and bought some carne asada and chicken fajitas! There's parking in the back, driveway is a bit thin so becareful no one is coming out if you're pulling in.

They have Pan Dulce, produce, meats (marinated), and lots of Latino goods that I would have to go to Hayward or Concord to get.

It's hard to compete with Safeway in this area with the Safeway corporate HQ in Pleasanton and a Safeway supermarket ever couple of miles. Lucky has closed stores in San Ramon and Danville only a few store left in the Tri-Valley. This is huge with a hot food and deli counter. Lots of check out stands but very few open .

Today however, solidified my never using this store again. No shopping carts anywhere near the door, not the biggest deal as I only needed a handful of items, but left wondering if they expected customers to scour the parking lots to find one? Inside the store no hand baskets anywhere to be seen, walked down each checkout stand and no baskets there either..!! Walked up to the manager station and saw who appeared to be a manager, she was having an open heated discussion with another employee, never even looked up towards myself or the elderly man in front of me standing in front of the counter. I walked through the store to grab my items in my arms and get out of there. Stopped at the Ice cream aisle And Dryers ice cream was $8 & change which is significantly more than what Safeway is typically selling it for! Skipped that, found small packets of pickles on the end cap, grabbed one, and went to the checkout. I asked the checkout woman, who can only be described as "sullen", where the hand baskets were, she tersely replied "we don't have any".. Then came the pickles, they wouldn't ring up, she hollered at a woman in the self checkout asking about the price, she hadn't even seen them before. My checker asked her to go look up the price, had to ask 4 times, had to describe how to go look up the price. Woman comes back, says there's no price on the display, ( which is already what I said) and she says "just charge $2.. (I'm not even sure that tiny packet is worth $2, but I just want out of there by now.).!! Checker barely looks up at me, as she slides my stuff down the counter, gives a 1/2 hearted "thanks".. So much more letdowns, more employees than customers, not one of them made eye contact, most were milling around looking like they were trying to find something to do.. (Which wasn't asking any customers if they needed help).!! I was relieved to be driving away, drove to San Ramon Safeway and bought all of the other stuff I needed, Dreyers Ice cream was $2 cheaper, I was so much happier at Safeway that I spent $120.00 there.!!

Since I have already drank my coffee , she offered to make me a cup of ice water . There were 3 chairs for customers to sit and eat or wait while they made your order . These were the only chairs they had within the whole store . But if you went outside, there were several metal picnic tables and chairs to choose . May he because it was for Covin , otherwise I would rather they have some tables indoor . I like the cooked food in the deli sections ( wings , hotdogs, etc ) and food becomes cold faster outside , especially in the winter . TJ's is one of my most favorite places to shop. In addition to the food, I love their plants, beautiful flowers, and greeting cards. They will look up an item for you and let you know when it will be restocked or if it is discontinued. I love their Kouign Amann, Chiles Rellenos con Queso, Marzano tomatoes, Saint Andre Triple Crème brie, jalapeno pepper jelly and of course, Hold the Cone ice cream. There is always something new and interesting to try and new seasonal items appear routinely. Most TJs have a parking lot that is always congested but this one isn't too bad. Even though we stopped by 30 minutes before closing, the store was packed with customers. There are plenty of cashiers to get you through the lines quickly and they are super friendly and courteous. At the San Jose location, Ana repeatedly told me, at least four times, that I had to pick up my cake at 5:00 PM and that there was absolutely no flexibility to come earlier. After nearly 10 minutes of explaining the same thing over and over, she finally said I could come at 4:30 PM. When I asked if she was sure, she said yes. I then asked for her name so I could let the bakery know who approved it, and she said her name was Ana. However, she immediately followed that by saying it was still up to the bakery staff and that they could make me wait until 5:00 PM if they wanted to because that was my scheduled pickup time. She also mentioned that people are always trying to do this. It ended up being a long and frustrating conversation, and I still didn't have a clear answer. Then I called the Dublin location and spoke with Amber. What a difference! She was kind, understanding, and genuinely focused on helping me. She immediately reassured me that the cake would be ready earlier in the day and that I could come pick it up when I needed it. She even explained customization options for the cake that I didn't know were available. Amber made the entire process easy and stress-free. I am so grateful for her flexibility, professionalism, and willingness to help. She made me feel like customer service actually matters, and because of her, I feel confident and excited about my graduation celebration. Whole Foods Dublin is clearly focused on creating a positive customer experience, and I truly appreciate the outstanding service Amber provided.

I was at the self check out counter and a staff was really rude to me: she kept telling me to scan an item a certain way and it did not work. Also my Amazon Palm was not working: she kept insisting that it would be better not to use it since I did not set it up correctly/ she was very rude too. After I checked out, I found out that she was in a hurry since it was the end of her shift. Maybe it would be good if staff members could be scheduled into the back storage room or restocking rather than customers-facing at the end of their shifts: just a suggestion.
