Black Friday Nightmare. I arrived at 6 for the 8 o'clock sale. They decided to allow everyone from the 6 o'clock sale to stay inside and wait for the 8 o'clock items. It is now 9 o'clock and the line hasn't moved an inch. The 1 hour guaranteed items are all gone according to worker here. Next year I'm headed to target. I appreciate the greeter! The gentleman in the wheelchair is very friendly as he welcomes and does an awesome job acknowledging every person as they enter the store or walk towards his way. Sunday afternoon and only 4 registers open. Not one express or self checkout lane open.

So a few weeks ago. I decided to visit the Walmart and Pomona off of Rio Rancho road. I live in Diamond Bar and it was the closest one to my house. I was in need of basic essentials for my household. That particular day I was working at Covina sound. Which is a stereo shop not too far from my house. At 7 o'clock exactly the store closed I have put in the address for a Walmart Rio Rancho road on my navigation and it took me exactly 36 minutes to get their due to traffic. I literally park my vehicle in the 1st available parking spot and walked right into the store. Grab a shopping cart and went directly to the toiletry aisle. Where I placed a package of paper towels in to my shopping cart. I was rudely approached by to Walmart associates. One claiming to be a loss prevention manager the other wine attempting to appear and a security like stance. Which was honestly Hilarious To me. Aside from the fact that I'm a hard working 40 year old man. That works Chan hours A-day 6 days a week and stalling aftermarket vehicle assessors. I'm also a martial artist, attendeds a dojo on a weekly basis. My 1st black belt was achieved at the age of 14 years old. Long story short. Far from threatened. However the point of this Post. Is the sheer fact that I was wrongfully identified. Mistreated. Publicly humiliated. The best part of the story after I brought it to the attention of Walmart corporate. I was ensured that I would be contacted in the very near future. 3 business days later I was never contacted. I attempted to reach out to them again. At that point in time I told them . That was considering legal consultation. Their response to that was. Since you've considered legal assistance we will no longer be able to assist you. After speaking to a lawyer. They told me it would have been in my best interest. If I did not comply with him at all. Waited for the police to arrive. Resk being arrested and having my vehicle impounded. I would have had a good case against them. Because I Complied. I was told that I literally had no case against them. I now am aware that Walmart is nothing but false advertisement And does not respect their customers parried not in the least shape or form. Frankly I find it to be rather appalling and extremely disgusting. The corporation sells himself on making life more affordable for the middle class citizen. Which I clearly am according to my taxes. If I was a wealthy man I would never step foot in Walmart. After this humiliating experience. I'll stick to stater brothers and target. If you value yourself worth and the money that you spend that I'm sure you worked just as hard for asked myself you will not spend it to better a corporation that traits hard working people like they way they did to me. This review is for the Auto Care Service Department at this Walmart. Employees in the department are not professionals in taking care of customers. Wasted more than an hour to have a bad car battery tested before they would exchange under warranty. When asked about my battery after an hour the so called mechanic Johnny yelled that I was told 15 minutes, when an hour had past. WTF!!! I don't need this. I'm a paying customer. Manger got involved and corrected and apologized for the mechanic's Johnny behavior. Will never have auto service here again. This place sucks. I made a purchase online and went to pick it up at the store. Online it said you pick up items until 10pm. I got there at 8:30pm and no one was at the counter. I had to search the store for someone to help me. When I did and was talking to a female sales associate one of the others came and grabbed me out of the blue. I told him not to touch me. What the heck. The first associate agreed to finish the transaction. The item was heavy (workout equipment) and she needed help so she called the manager. He showed up but refused to help. When I committed on the service the manager threatened to call the Police. I left the store. I had a bad experience before at this location and this being the second will never shop here again. Avoid this location if at all possible. Came in tonight a little before 10. All self checkouts were closed. Only two lines were open, and lines were down pass the middle of the store. According to the floor manager this is heir procedure for closing at midnight. You would have thought it was Black Friday by the log lines. When I asked if anyone else could open more lines it appeared the manager was laughing at me. The parking lot was full of customers and store full of customers. Wow! I think this Walmart is by far the best Walmart I ever been to! It's big, clean, less people, good customer service for once, and they keep everything in stock. A lot of the Walmart's I been to in past never restock their merchandise at all. If they do, it takes me days to do so. Most of the employees aren't helpful at all and lazy to do a little work for you. But not this Walmart! I finally found where I can grocery shop and buy my dog food! Went to Walmart in Pomona tonight to price match the ad from another store. I was first told by one assistant manager that it should not be a problem. When I told him the quantity I wanted to buy (40) I was told he needed to talk to his supervisor. His supervisor came out about 15 minutes later to tell me that based on my quantity he would not allow me to purchase the items...? He said they are not making any money off the sale and it wouldn't be possible. He, oh his name was Jason by the way, continued to say that he would have to contact the other store to see if they had the items in stock and if they did not I could not get the items. I informed him that I work at a hospital and do not get off work until 11pm and would not be able to come back the next day. He said he would "allow" me to get 10 of the items and that was it because I did not have the ad and they could not verify the items. I reluctantly agreed to get the 10 items however when I went to the register I was greeted by two confused cashiers who said that I would not be able to price match because I was also using a coupon for the exact amount of the price match. I informed them I had already talked to the manager who had approved it. They said they needed to call the manager over. The manager came over and then said no I could not get the items because they are too expensive to price match. He further told me that this is his career and he has been a manager for over 20 years and knows the policies. This after the two cashiers had continually asked me where the other stores as was (when you do not have to bring it to Walmart to price match!) The cashier then began questioning me asking me where I got the coupons and then said they do not take internet coupons. And repeating to ask me how many Walmart stores I had "tried this at"! I was so frustrated! All the while the two managers were pulling up the ad on their cell phones, and two other employees stood behind us talking about how we were trying to get something for nothing. He showed me a "daily deal" ad that had SKU numbers on it- however that was not even the ad I was referring to. Jason and the cashier basically accused me of lying, bringing in false coupons, and completely embarrassed me in the store! After over an hour I left the store empty handed! Needless to say I found another store not to far down the freeway that did the price match no problem on all 40 games. I was in and out of there in less that an hour! I must say the assistant manager was very nice and said he would have done it but his manager told him no. Looks like his manager needs a demotion for not following Walmart's advertised guarantee! I will be contacting the store manager in the morning and I will also be calling corporate. I also must say I WAS in fact using honest coupons, and honest price match, and these were toys to be donated to charity for Christmas. Shame on you Walmart, the manager Jason and your cashiers who accused me of using fake coupons! That's okay the other Walmart was so nice and had no issues. They don't hire nor empower people with any concept of what customer service means, even at management level. Target and Amazon, you have this particular Walmart to thank for getting some additional business. I got two items, go to the self checkout since I don't even need to bother these "employees" for a bag, should be quick and easy right? 20 minutes later, I'm late picking up my kid and just disgusted by the level of "customer service" provided by these "employees", "customer service reps", and "managers". Here's how it happened: Sept 2, right about noon, I scan my two items, and put money in the self check out machine and it registers that it's in, but got frozen before spitting out my change and a receipt. Ok, it's a minor problem right? someone comes to help me, couldn't get the machine to budge for 5 minutes. At this point, I ask to be checked out somewhere else and just get my change and receipt so I can be on my way and they can deal with their problem machine at their own leisure. But no, a "manager" in a blue vest comes over and messes with it for another 5 minutes. BTW, this "manager" didn't do anything the other employee has already done, which is just push all the buttons on the screen. I make the same request again, and reiterate that I need to pick up my child, and she gets a real attitude, tells me the machine needs to fully process the transaction, then calls a customer service rep before walking away. It's been 10 minutes and I'm still waiting for my change and receipt. A "customer service" guy comes after a couple of minutes and asks what the problem is, I again inform him, and he walks away, doesn't say anything, and goes on his walkie talkie for someone else. Finally, a few more minutes later, another "manager" shows up this time in a yellow vest, and spends another 5 minutes messing with the machine, then, she goes to get the keys and opens up the thing and starts to re-stack the cash in the various boxes. I once again state that I really need to pick up my kid and request once more to be checked out somewhere else. She refuses once more and informs me the machine needs to process this transaction correctly. At this point, I've spent at least 15 minutes at this damn machine looking at the same damn screen. Then she tries the same thing again. I request once again, that she take the money from this faulty machine, and check me out somewhere else, so I can go pick up my kid, and then they can fix the machine and put the money back in. I have given them a solution 4 times in 20 minutes, and this one finally relents and does what I suggested, took about 45 seconds and I am FINALLY out of there. And FINALLY the manager in the yellow vest mumbles a weak apology, said in a way that was obvious that she didn't mean it. I even told her that it's not her fault, but I do wish she would've fixed it a lot sooner. As I'm leaving, I'm pretty sure she muttered some kind of insult in my direction, but I'm beyond caring at this point, because I need to pick up my kid. I really felt like I've inconvenienced these "employees" and "managers" by shopping at their store, maybe I should even apologize to the damn machine. However, it still felt a bit off that the self check out manager in the blue vest went full raging bitch mode. Oh and they really care that the machine fully processes your transaction, on a sale that's less than 20 bucks, and are willing to hold you up for it instead of finding a solution so you can go on your way. And I've only given them the solution four times, which they did use finally. So maybe that's an indication that shoppers need to learn some patience, so what if you have to pick up your kid? Safe to say I'm never shopping at any Walmart again. No amount of savings is enough to justify putting you in a bad mood, and potentially affecting your interactions with your family, friends, and professional contacts. read more

The staff at this Walmart doesn't know their return policy even though it's posted online and on the back of the actual receipt. I recently got a bday gift of clothes I just did not need or like. I'd rather go to target for clothes if needed. So with receipt in hand and shown that it was purchased with a debit card. They did not let me exchange or get cash back since my drivers license has been expired this year on my bday. I showed them their return policy and they ignored it. It was like "whatever I say goes" type of feeling I was getting from them. So I asked my cousin to do the exchange and they didn't even ask him for an ID?!?! But still said they can't do cash back they kept saying it was bought with credit but it clearly reads on the receipt debit... so I grabbed the damn receipt and said fine let's just exchange as if we didn't have the receipt. They then asked for my cousins ID. And said since it was marked down now so from a $60 gift for my bday I ended up getting a $35 gift card for Walmart. A place I despise now. read more

I went to Walmart to exchange a gift that I had received. I had a gift receipt. Because the gift had been bought with a credit card, they said it had to be added back on the persons credit card!! What! It was a gift that is why I was given a gift receipt, in case there was a problem with the gift. They refused to give me a gift card and said I could return it without the receipt, so I said Ok. Because I didn't have a receipt they gave me a gift card for $10 instead of $16, because I didn't have a receipt. What in the world is this!!! I've been going to this Walmart for awhile and hate going there. The associates are rude to the customers and shelves are lacking. I have seen the selves luck product as well. I was in there one time and wanted to buy a certain brand of body wash and every bottle of the brand I wanted was covered in stuff. When I was in there today at a self check out that was only taking cards, the machine was having trouble accepting my chip card and was taking forever. The associate walked over, canceled the transaction, and got mad at me and said you weren't supposed to take it out. I've been to much better looking and friendlier Walmarts then this one. The ONLY thing that makes it palatable to come in is the greeter at the door who is pretty much the only friendly employee there and the fact that I NEEDED Something that I couldn't find anywhere else. I love the prices at walmart. The food portion of this store is well stocked clean and organized. The computer selection here is pretty much the same as other wallmarts on line. I went to this wallmart because it is the closest to me. I went to buy a lap top with a budget of $300 to $400 range. The walmart associate in the computer department was most helpful in pointing out what they had in stock at the time. I ended up buying a laptop UNDER budget! (Samsung Chrome). The only reason this review is not 5-stars is the over all appearance of the store is not up to par with other wallmarts. It is some what hard to find stuff I need. read more
