I went to this Ross and Phillips Ranch got two sweaters for $9.99 each it came out to $22.02 in total the cashier thought I gave her $ 50 instead of $100 and then she fixed it by using her personal cell phone calculator to do the math and to give me change back so she gave me $67 instead of $77 and I counted the money a couple steps away from the cashier when I realize she didn't give a right change I was missing $10 went back told her that I was missing $10 the manager ask me if is okay she will like to checked the cameras to see how much she have gave me well the manager told me see couldn't see it because her back was blocking the cameras so se couldn't return me the rest of the money the manager suggested a return and I told her I couldn't return the sweater either because I will still be missing 10 dollars the cashier was light skin blond hair two tattoos on her hand nasty attitude and she still has the nerves to go and tell the security, I did give her the right change talking about me because I heard her and the security just turned and looked at me with this Smurf smiled really unprofessional I hope when they count the money at closing time and those $10 bucks will be there I would not recommend for you guys to go on to the store and this lady behind me. Clean store. They provide hand sanitizer. People don't practice social distancing when shopping. They don't let people try on clothes in store. They allow returns on merchandise. So here's the deal. They allow customers to purchase clothing take it home try it on at home, expose the item to their home and other individuals up to 30 days then allow them to return the item. However they don't allow customers to try things in store and put it back on the rack. So once we return things they go back on the rack anyways, so why pretend you are keeping ppl safe? I doubt that once an item is returned you sanitize the item before it goes back on the rack. Edit: I returned clothes, they went on the return rack and then associate put the clothes back on the rack for sale. They are pretending to keep ppl safe by saying we don't allow ppl to try on clothes in store because what if a customer tries on clothes and is sick and another person tries on the same clothes and they get sick. I was returning an item and the cashier pretended to attempt the return for me, now I know what I looked like, ugly! She was giving me the stink eyes since I walked in the store. So long story short she said the registered wouldn't allow it, went to a different Ross and there wasn't a problem. I went in to do some Christmas shopping and I had asked a manger ( I believe her name was destiny) if they could check if they had an item in-stock and right away she gave me some attitude huffed and rolled her eyes. My review is five stars only for a sales associate named DESTINEE!!! She was so cool and helpful. I was a bit annoyed by having to wait in a Iong line but they were doing what they could with what they had. I found a quality rug I've been looking for and DESTINEE helped me get it and helped me bring it outside!!! Her customer service is phenomenal and Ross is lucky to have you . Store was clean and well organized. Great deals and finds at this location! We found a three pack of Nike dri-fit socks for $5.99 and retail value was $15! So happy with this steal! Nicer than most since it's fairly new. Pricing great and I have purchased several things here. My only complaint is the music is TOO LOUD especially when you are looking at a rack directly under the speaker. I had to move away from what I wanted because of the music. Today the store was clean, organized and pretty well stocked. May try again soon. read more

So previous I've never had a bad experience at this store, price are good and store is always clean. December 6, 2021 I went in with my wife and mom, we shopped around for an hour then we processed to check out,, when we were paying I overheard the cashier next to ours come and ask our cashier some questions, then they called over another worker, I'm guessing a manager or something. They looked at the screen and told the older gentleman next to us that the prices on the clothes were wrong. They then raised their voices and repeated it like 5 times that he can't change change the prices. Without asking questions, they made assumptions and publicly humiliated him in front of a line of people, the man did not speak English so he had no idea what they were saying and couldn't defend himself. I then jumped in and fired back at the cashier saying that she can't just make assumptions and publicly humiliate a person without proof. The lady's name was ALEXIS!!! Went to the Ross on Rio Rancho, Pomona, CA. Not much of a selection, not very neat, however, I did find what I needed. Where the less than stellar rating came from was that there were two cashiers and the continued to hold a whole conversation about breaks and leaving on time. Meanwhile, the line was building. From what I can see, a lot of people here complain about the line, which is a real problem. This is a common trend though when it comes to Ross, huge points and not enough cashier's, you wait my money right? Large selection, but cashiers in front are ridiculous. Daniela asked customers to remove their hangers ahead of time, but since our hands were full of merchandise and drinks, we couldn't. Isn't that their job??? She gave us a bad attitude the entire time, rolled up our stuff quickly and threw them into the bags carelessly. I had a look of being bemused the entire time and trying to figure out if she was just having a bad day or hangover. At the same time, cashier across from her says an infant bag doesn't have a tag. Daniela responds customer needs to find a similar bag in order for it to be rung up. That cashier literally made her go back and find one while the line got longer. Don't recommend coming here on weekends...it gets rather busy and they never seem to have enough cashiers to get through the rush so it seems like you're in line for ages. During the week it isn't as bad so if you can...always try to ugo on a weekday. They really do have a lot of great deals and I like getting my work out wear from here. They tend to have good deals on beauty supplies as well but unfortunately that area in the store isn't well watched so trouble makers tend to break and steal from that area of the store. I like buying scrubs and body washes, lotions and what not from here because they had such a great variety to choose from. I tend to get my hair care from here as well because it is way more affordablezhchz in comparison to WalMart or Target. The security always greet you at the door but it is a hit or miss with the cashiers...some are polite and others, not so much. read more

This Ross just recently opened in the new Target shopping center off the 71 freeway. I went yesterday (March 7, 2014) and it was extremely crowded. Employees were above and beyond and extremely friendly, I'm not sure if it's because the store is so new but it was nice to have such great customer service. As for the store, it's nice, bright, and clean. They have a very large section for women's clothing and many dresses. There were a few nice evening gowns/prom dresses for under $20. The one major downfall for me is the shoe department. It is very small...much smaller than any other Ross I've been to. There's only a few short and small racks of shoes so if you're looking specifically for shoes, you probably won't be in luck. There was plenty of parking. I bought over $200.00 worth of stuff for my sister at ROSS. My husband accidentally threw the receipt away, so I figured I'd be stuck with it. We are not the same size. When I called to ask if I could get my money back and return the merchandise on the phone the associate assured my I can return it if I bring my ID. Later on I went in to return and the associate and manager told me I could only get store credit. She allowed me to continue to show how upset I was until she finally said that she could look up the receipt for me. I thought it had been a week but it was two weeks. The first time she checked, she couldn't find it (transaction went through the 5th) as she was checking my husband called the back and they said the transaction happened the 3rd but didn't process until the 5th. She then went back to check a second time. Then she said she could look up all the the way to the 5th but not the 3rd. There must be someone who can help me. It's the holidays and with Covid 19 Ross is a huge company and I'm one person. It doesn't seem fair at all that there are no exceptions to this. I tried to get the associated name that worked when i called who lied to me, but she refused to tell me and said they are temps so it doesn't matter because they will be gone in two weeks. Usually have good merchandise. BUT once you hit the line it is a LONG wait. This last time was the worst! It was lunch hour and there was a line OUTSIDE of the line. With only one cashier who was moving like a sloth. Manager is standing at jewelry counter looking at some binder. Then walks over to security to ask if everyone is at lunch. Shouldn't she know where her staff is? Then chats there for about 2 minutes while cashier is STILL on first person. Then finally manager decides to assist. Goes through 4 people, compared to the first cashier who is now finally on her next customer. Manager then, yet again walks away and chats a minute with security then disappears to the back. Only reason line started moving, is because about 3 people left! Then a few minutes later, 2 people come from back to cashier stands. FINALLY!!! Then as I am leaving, another shows. Managing advice; don't send most of your staff to lunch at the same time during one of your busiest times. read more

I came here to shop for some work clothes. I came in at about 9:20. When I heard the 10 min warning (which actually happened at 9:40) to close, I immediately left for the fitting room. Then, I was told since the store was closing soon, I couldn't try on the clothes- that the fitting rooms were closed. Apparently, they hold different hours than the store. I gave them back the clothes and went to my car. The time was 9:43 when I got to my car. I had a good 20 minutes left to try on clothes. I won't be returning to this store. read more
