This is the biggest (not Super) Walmart I've seen anywhere in the country. It's as big as many of the Super locations, even those in Arkansas within driving distance of the headquarters. They had loads of stock and it wasn't a disaster. That's praise for a Walmart. At the register, the cashier was efficient and the price mirrored what was barely labeled on the shelf. There were three workers just standing around having casual conversation, we asked them where an item was and their response? "If we don't have it somewhere in this section then we probably don't have it" .... we then asked another worker for help finding another item and she said "it's probably somewhere in the peanut aisle" then when we asked where that is she glared at us as if we were the ones that work there! She proceeded to give us more descriptive directions (that I'm sure took all of her brain power to muster up) such as the actual aisle number and location. The music is way too loud! And they never have dividers at the checkout. Do people steal them? What is the deal with no dividers at check out? You cannot separate your items from the customer behind you or in front of you. It's so annoying. Did I mention the music is way too loud? And I appreciate that you have less items locked up versus the one on Davis Street. By far the worst Walmart I've ever visited. There is legit barely any healthy food. Their produce section is a joke; there's a small selection that sits next one short aisle of frozen groceries. Even in other aisles, the choices are sparse. It's just aisles and aisles of brown--processed food. I actually heard other customers complaining about the same thing. One person advised someone to go to the other nearby Walmart instead. It's like they're trying to keep the underprivileged unhealthy. I guess the clothing selection is aight. If I could give negative stars I would. I ordered photo prints for pickup back in early July. It is now August 4th and the tracking info says it's been in store since July 23 and to "check back later for status", "store processing". Cannot get anyone to tell me where they are and cannot get a refund. I am so annoyed and frustrated as these were pictures for my wedding. I have always liked walmart but I will absolutely never be returning after this. My shopping experience here is A-ok considering the neighborhood. Supplies are plenty and parking is decent. Then my niece calls me and asks me if the walmart I'm in is this walmart location and I said "yes" it was. She has no manners no customer service skills and she sounds like the lead coz she was condescending to the other workers there. How can this rude person have a customer facing job? Also I asked her to scan a Xmas item as I want to know if it's 75% off - she scanned it and said it is 75% off and it's only $2.47...I said I'll take it then suddenly she said it cannot be sold. The people with low reviews are the same "classless" people they come here to complain about while also writing "lyk dees." It's a Walmart what do you expect. Look at the Dollar Store, that place is a year round Category 4 Hurricane inside. But I like to get myself a nice fat pack of sponges for a dollar. Yet here you at a store that advertises the lowest prices complaining about how the security guard didn't acknowledge you were a special person with special disabilities, that the cashier didn't accept your expired 25 cent coupon, that the money order department didn't cash your check fast enough after you didn't have your ID, that they didn't stock your favorite foot cream, that the damn bloody aroma of the store want to your liking. I personally volunteer at a food bank through a church in San Leandro weekly and was at the Walmart here on Hesperian today walking my dogs in the back parking lot and witnessed employees throwing out perfectly good food so I approach them and ask them about food donations why are they donating it and he said something about they used to but they don't always want it. This isn't right, considering a homeless person was also walking by watching them throw out perfectly good food! There have been multiple shootings here since they opened but not best area in world either. Last time comin here unless still workin in east bay. This is to the unbelievably slow lady in the money services line. Do your job instead of purposely going at snails pace because you hate it so much. If you want to use the money services, don't go to Walmart. The line will get past the pet aisle and they won't call anyone for backup. The lines are always long and yet there are always multiple workers that just stand around and talk to each other as though the store isn't in complete chaos. This is by far one of the worst Walmart's I've ever been to. read more

On March 29th I went to Walmart on Lewelling in San Leandro/San Lorenzo to purchase a scale and Magic Bullet. As I was getting the Magic Bullet off the shelf, the thought came to me to google it to see if there's a cheaper price elsewhere. Which I'd request a price match at checkout. Low and behold Fry's has one $5-7 cheaper. I'm at he register I greet my cashier and request a price match on the Magic Bullet showing her on my cell phone that Fry's has it for less. She didn't know how to do the adjustment so she turns on her blinking light for service. JULIE in a yellow vest (an alleged CSM) came over without acknowledging me. Told the cashier we don't do those anymore. Julie walked over to the next register snatching down the notice and sticking it up at the register where I was. She walked off. An extra rude witch. Note: The sign states they offer the lowest prices . However, they did not want to offer me the lowest price I found for the item I needed. Needless to say I've left the item there. Recently, I have found that at least half of all Walmart employees are really from the bottom of the barrel. It seems like helping customers with "Walmart Pay" is above their pay grade. It ALWAYS takes asking 3-6 employees to help me use their own app! TWO different stores even had managers that DID NOT KNOW how to work the app. What is the point of using the app at all? Pathetic!!! The worst experience I have ever witnessed. No one care to help you or want to do their job. Every person who I asked for help seems like they don't wanna try to help me. I needed something inside a glass cabinet in the auto dept. So I needed someone with a key to open it. I ask one worker who walked by. Called him three times but he keep walking and ignored me because he had ear buds on listing to music because another customer saw why he didn't hear me. So she called him to me because she was close to him. He told me the electric dept has the key. Then when I went there they said we don't have the key and sound like they don't want find someone who has it. I decided to leave after what I experience but I saw a worker in the auto dept when I was leaving and ask can you help me. She had the key smh.. So she got the item after 15 mins waiting. She put in a container for thief proof. So went to self check out. The thief proof wasn't even lock properly and was open. I just paid for it in the self check out and when I tried to give the thief proof box to a worker she doesn't even look and said im busy. I just put the thief box proof to the side and left. I've now wasted 2 days in a row trying to come return something and they are closed every time I show up and literally could give a fuck less if it inconvenience you or if you wasted your gas 2 times in a row. Interesting that you can't order an item that is "not in stock", yet if you order and item that IS in stock, they can cancel the item for not being in stock. Waited 10 days for an order and on day 9, order was cancelled while the website said the item was in stock. Seems that these days they deliver very little, won't let you pick up in the store, but want you to go to the store and it's hit or miss if the item is actually there. I'm hearing it's the same at all Walmarts, not a good way to do business. Don't offer home delivery or pre-order to pick up in store if you won't let people do it. Fake services. read more

Accosted in the parking lot. Lady told me the spot I parked in was hers. That she was on the other side of the road backing in when I drove up. She told me that she knew I saw her. I really didn't. I had a sick kid in the car. I just thought I lucked out. I told her that I was not leaving. She started taking pictures of my license plate and myself. I called her a KAREN. She called me a B****. A privileged while M***** F*****. She told me I had better not leave my car. She told me I had better watch my back. The woman's car was stopped directly in front of the security truck with its lights flashing. No security showed up. I have made efforts to report the incident. Came here with my wife to buy shoes at 10:30pm. Was standing at the shoes section for 20minutes and pressed their "if you need assistance " button atleast 15 times. Saw their associates walked past us, no one was willing to help. At 10:50pm, we were asked to go to checkout as they were closed at 10:50pm. Honestly I don't like to support big businesses that push out small businesses and treat their associates like generic products. I know some people depend on these jobs for their livelihood so when I finally trek in here to pay a bill I don't feel too badly. This store is full of unprofessional people. I bought a TV today that was On Walmart.com it's a 55 inch TV for 184 plus tax came out 207$. I worked at this store before I was an Associate then I became an Asset Protection. I asked if they have this TV while showing them a picture of it online that it is in stock. So an employee came to the back and actually found it and an employee quote "Theres a whole pallet at the back" This employee is honest. While one of the manager denied that they sell this at this store. I feel like if you're given that type of job you should know the store inventory or check before giving a customer an answer saying They don't sell it. Get in the one checkout line for tobacco. You may wait for that mom on the WIC program, processing those food vouchers. You may also have somebody trying out 5 different cards to see which one will process the payment. As far as walmarts go, this one isn't bad. I can see how parking could be a pain but I had no issues. The store is clean and there were plenty of shopping carts available. I was able to find just about everything I needed on my list and I was pleasantly surprised with the collection of craft and hobby items they had on hand. All of the staff I encountered were friendly and knowledgeable. As much as I am not a fan of big stores like this, I'll likely return to this one for certain shopping needs. read more
