I just stopped at Walmart on my way home to pick up a few items. The associates were stocking shelves, however, there were full and empty boxes in the aisles, and they are moving around with pallet jacks while there are many people in the store. This presents a serious safety hazard for the customers. You have the elderly, disabled, as well as parents with young children. Going through those aisles in that condition is like walking through a maze. Not to mention it makes the store look dirty and disorganized. I have already reported this information to CAL/OSHA, as it is definitely a safety issue. If you choose to stock while the store is full of customers, there should be caution tape across any aisles that are being stocked at that time, otherwise, have an overnight crew come in. read more

I came in to buy a car battery yesterday and it was a pretty bad experience. First the batteries were locked up. Finding an associate to help took over 30 mins. When they got here they couldn't open the bars. Another 10 mins for new associate to get involved. Their answer was to just get one from the back. Seriously?!??? SMH and then when I'm done swapping out the battery and bringing back the core, I'm told that returns are closed and I'll need to visit Union City for that aspect. Serious frustration. read more

I personally want to know whose dumb idea was it to force customers to allow an associate to scan a customer's items at a SELF SERVICE CHECK OUT KIOSK!! This defeats the whole purpose of what a self- service check out stand is for. I shouldn't have to wait for an associate to do something that not only do I already know HOW to do on my own but PREFER to do on my own! I was a cashier for many years and even worked for Walmart in another state many years ago and I don't need any help. What was even worse was the associate that scanned my stuff behaved in a horrible fashion when I expressed my annoyance for having to wait on someone to scan my stuff. He even yelled at me too saying crap like " Well what do you expect me to do? Quit my job?" and other uncalled-for nonsense. Yes, I told the supervisor about him and this dumb policy and she offered me vague and ridiculous excuses such as Walmart being a bunch of "complex stores" ( complete nonsense) and worse. All this new policy does is not only cause people to wait longer in line than they should, but it also causes useless and unnecessary drama. I use those self -service kiosks, so I don't have to deal with the foolishness that goes on at a regular register. But it seems like Walmart gets off on annoying their customers and employees alike. In general I don't like going to Walmart as it's crowded, people are a little inconsiderate, parking is a pain, etc. and a place you need patience. Came with a friend and she helped me to find humor in the whole chaos of shoppers but have to add they have way lower prices than other stores and a decent garden section. I had bought a plant from a chain home improvement store and found the exact one for 1/2 the price but usually a hit or miss. First time at the NEW Walmart on Hesperian (@ Lewelling Blvd). It used to be a Target and it just opened last Wed 1/14/09. It was pretty crowded on Sun 1/18/09 and I think it's a good idea to park on the old Baker Square side, since there's an In-N-Out on the other side. We walked into the Garden Center entrance and got a snow shovel for $9.95 which we'll use to rake leaves. No snow in Fremont! Friend got some food products like spaghetti sauce, dried pasta, Banana Nut cereal, etc. There's a Subway sandwich shop in there, photo center, and supposedly Unbeatable products though Grocery Outlet & Food Maxx are cheaper. Honestly, things have been going downhill at this Walmart. I am trying to be really mindful of Covid and everything going on, but it is still such a mess here. The curbside pick up option is not clear at all and makes it such a hassle to figure out while waiting in the car. Save yourself time and go in the store to get any of your orders. First...the online delivery sucks!! I never get my order within 36 hrs like they claim...always took 5-7 days. Then the product would come damaged or just send wrong items! It is a huge store and they have all kinds of stuff you can buy for the house, including groceries. Will try again later to see if they restocked on the name brand paper towels. HORRIBLE. (Almost 2 hours on the phone for a simple YES or NO answer to a simple question!) NO HELP in any department when you call. Today I was trying to do money transactions at the service desk. They (all departments) always HANG UP when they pick up. Not even a HELLO. They just pick up and HANG UP. Basically they DROP CALLS over and over and over. FRUSTRATING. (This happened not just today. This has also happened on all other days that I've called over the past year.) I finally got someone and asked to speak to a MANAGER. I was waiting and waiting. Which i thought was great, until i opened my front door 30 minutes ago to find 3 pair of sweatpants lying on my front porch....NO package! I started calling this morning and gave up after 20 minutes. I tried calling multiple other times and it's the same thing. It rings and ring then hangs up on me. So this is probably the most rude Walmart I have ever been to. My bf and I went to Walmart to look for a foam mattress for a friend who was going to visit and decided to buy a new video game either. While waiting in line to get assistance, this Indian lady working there is apparently picking a fight with a customer who eventually proceeds to demand for a manager. After waiting about 10 min and then some, the line moves and this same lady finally assists us who then proceeds to try to persuade my bf that she wasn't trying to pick a fight. It didn't even involve us but she was ragging on the customer to us saying how she didn't want to argue. Then after looking at me (and I know I'm not thin), proceeds to ask if I'm pregnant. Then when I say no, she literally puts her foot in her mouth by saying "Oh don't worry, I have a cousin who is the same and sometimes you know, you just want to say you are." Like WTF. This type of stuff is so unethical and disrespectful and downright rude. Almost made me want to slap her. This is why I never step foot in any Walmart if I can help it. This location is always less busy then the other ones in the area. Parking in the front is always hard to find but on the sides is easier (especially the garden). The lines are usually short (you can also party in the garden and the cosmetics section). It is the customer service here which extremely lacks. Aside from the few cashiers that are friendly if you need to ask any questions or find something the assistance lacks for sure. I try to order things online to make sure that the items i need are in store but the wait at the pickup line can be so long. Just waited 25 minutes to get my galon of glue broughts up to the front of the store, came in at 8:40 on a tusday morning. read more

I came here during a week day with my son to find a few things that this store had that I couldn't find at the Walmart near me. As soon as I arrived, I noticed the parking lot was 90% full but I was still able to find a parking spot. Then as we walked in, the line to the cashiers stations was about 10 feet deep per line. As I walked around, all I can smell was weed throughout the whole store. A few minutes of being inside, I felt a headache coming. Pretty soon after that, I had to leave. As soon as I walked outside, I felt so much better so it's definitely something inside that made me feel sick. read more

I purchased a bunch of items here 12 days ago and attempted to return two items unused with the original receipt and the girl at customer service, Miracle, was extremely rude and denied my return. I had to get corporate involved and decided to go to another store. Their policy is clearly 30 days, I've seen crackheads return hundred of dollars of stolen merchandise and they don't bat an eye but when a legitimate customer tries to return two things they make up random unwritten policies that supersedes their corporate policy. If you keep treat 99% of your law abiding customers like the 1% of people who abuse your store eventually you'll be out of business. Walmart and Miracle you both suck! Was just followed by 2 associates for no reason. One acted like he was on his phone, walking slowly behind me. The other one was acting like she was hanging clothes, following me to each aisle I went. Mind you, they're calling for assistance to open a case on the men's section where we were. This Walmart is by far one of the best Walmart's I've ever been into: Most employees know how to speak English and really willing to help you as a customer! Walmart has a problem of hiring people who can barely speak English yet they become managers. Also this Walmart is very well organized and clean & completely follows the Covid-19 prevention plus 6 feet safe distancing for every customer. I highly recommend this Walmart & there's also a Taco Bell & In & Out hamburger restaurants nearby. read more

This review is for a Wal-Mart.com online order which was delivered to this store for pick-up. Wal-Mart is not one of my shopping destinations, but I happened to found an online deal for a board game for my nephew. Came to the store after getting my order pickup email. Entering the store, I was looking for the Walmart.com Services desk and noted the sign above pointed to the back of the store. As I got to the back, I couldn't locate the desk and asked a worker on the floor. He directed me to the photo department desk. The photo desk served as a Walmart.com desk as well. After a short wait, the worker, I handed the cashier my email printout, which he verified on and left to get my order. He came back in about 5 minutes with my order and scanned the product and I was on my way. Compared to online order pickups at other retailers, Wal-Mart's could be better. First, better directions to the desk upon entering the store. The other retailers had the orders stored there so the clerk can easily access the item and not have to leave the desk to retrieve the order, resulting in another wait for the customer. read more

I went in here a little after 6 AM as I often do . I go there so often some of the employees say hi to me . This day I went in to buy a can of paint as I did not too long ago . Of course it's locked up. (even the locks are locked up ! ) I pushed the button on the call box about ten times .No answer ...I asked one of the employees for help . He said he'd find someone . No one came . I got fed up and left . Went back the next day .Same thing...A woman in electronics had keys , but not for the paint . Told me I had to come back after 8 when the floor manager got there . For a $5 can of paint ! ? I already wasted the money I would have saved in gas ! I give this Walmart a firm three star review because I can find what I need here but I always have angst going in because I know the wait in line will be brutal. Has anyone else noticed that the crosswalk in the front of the store spans almost the entire width of the store? This knocks off one star for me because it makes driving through the lot irritating and I am a firm believer in walkers rights. Bottom line- it's a Walmart.
