This used to be one of the most decent Walmart's in town. Now that they've added some major upgrades to the place seems like a small prison camp. Cameras attached to the top of just about every shelf in the garden. A lot of stuff under lock and key including masking tape, and zip ties! The friendliest person there was the greeter at the entrance by the pharmacy. She was about the only courteous, polite, and decent human being there. Everyone else is a robot, no human interaction what so ever. God help you if you even dare ask anyone for help. It's like your trying to drag a dead corpse and asking them to cross the Grand Canyon on a bed of nails and broken glass. Some of the employees were more focused on their phones and phone calls rather than actually work. They obviously didn't wanna be there, and hell I didn't wanna be there after seeing the low morale of that place. I understand I arrived after 7pm on a Sunday, but there were a lot of empty shelves that hadn't been restocked. I was starting to question if the place was going belly up like Sears at the rate everything seemed to be going. At least they cleaned the floors and kept it somewhat decent looking. I found an item under the holiday knickknacks section without a price label so I found an electronic scanner in the baby section nearby. I walked up to the scanner to see the price and I had noticed there was a female associate nearby there stocking the baby clothes. After spending a minute trying to scan the item without success the associate turns her head and looks at me like I just took a hot steamy dump on her Cheerios and rudely tells me "that scanners not gonna work, go find another one". I was appalled at how how rude she was about it. I went to the grocery aisles to find another scanner and saw another associate stocking the candy aisle. I tried getting their attention to ask where I could find another price scanner and they completely ignored me. I couldn't believe it. After that I said screw it, looked at the holiday section then took off. I was so shocked and quite upset about how poor the customer service service was and how low the morale of the employees appeared to be. It's bad enough I dislike going to Walmart in general because of busy they can get, but after this visit they just put the final nail in the coffin, and gave me another reason to take my business elsewhere. The employees and the company obviously don't care about the customers. We are just walking ATM machines to them.

This Walmart is very hit and miss. It's your typical run of the mill Walmart. Nothing really places it ahead of any others.

Closest grocery to the North Rio Rancho area. Good to find 90% of what I need under one roof.

The guy behind the deli counter provides exemplary customer service, as does the bakery department. All of the cashiers are extraordinarily personable and willing to provide any assistance when asked. The lines move swiftly and the self-checkout always has one or more helpful employees on the spot. The long running employees are a staple of the neighborhood community and the newer ones are always bright and hard-working which speaks highly of the hiring manager. All of the employees are great to have around, even the quieter ones. Lastly, in a neighborhood that can be a little intimidating to some, the security team keeps an excellent eye on everybody and everything. Thanks to them I feel absolutely safe while shopping there, which unfortunately I am unable to to say about some neighborhoods. You can tell that the entire staff cares a whole lot about the well-being of the store, the neighborhood and the community. Long live "Ghetto" Smith's, the heart of the Student Ghetto.

It was my husbands request to have fresh fish for his birthday dinner. The first place I thought where to get it was at WFM. I made a trip into town to visit this location. The parking lot was clean, and there was plenty of parking. I liked the feel when I walked into the store, the culture seems simpler and sleeker than it once was. The store is big, clean, and beautiful. It looked like they still offer many of the same services they had prior to the Amazon acquisition. Today, I was there for the meat department. I made my way over and asked if the fish they had on display were the only whole fish they had. They said it was. I ordered two Branzini's (sea bass) and Mark asked if I wanted anything done to them. I asked him to remove the scales, so he did just that. He bagged and wrapped them up for me. I then shopped for a few other items I had on my list. The produce and meat departments sections are beautiful. I like the options they have on their isles. They had a few checkers open. The customer service gal pulled me over and checked me out. I paid $33 for my two fish. I didn't feel that wasn't a bad price considering you could easily pay $60 for one filet at a nice restaurant. I will have to stop in more often for some more fresh fish or other nice looking seafood they have.

This WFM in Albuquerque is a huge store! Very clean and a carbon copy of the typical WFM layout and products. Associates were friendly and helped me find the restrooms too.
