This location is a challenge. The store is not kept up there are things out of order and there are no staff to help.

I've never been somewhere with so many workers that could care less about helping. I stood in front of a class case for 30 minutes waiting for an associate after rigging the button multiple times and asking multiple workers for assistance. I had to go to the back where 8+ workers were standing and had to ask for help where they just all looked at each other trying to come up with excuses so they didn't have to help. It was pulling teeth to get 30 seconds worth of help. so many employees standing around gossiping the entire store. It's unfortunate that good help is hard to come by these days. read more

Arrived home after a short shopping trip and discovered that a bottle of wine I had purchased was not in either of my bags. Reluctantly I drove back to Walmart and presented my receipt to the "customer service" representative. she took the receipt without a word to me (but a glare) and walked over to a phone, then walked over to shelves that apparently contain all of the items customers pay for but do not get bagged. She pulled out the wine, compared my receipt to the bottle and came back to the counter to place both on it. Another glare later I asked for a bag which she put the bottle into. No apology on behalf of the store and no thank you to me for being a customer. I am so over this store. Too many rude and or unpleasant employees and it seems as though they are trained to assume every customer is a thief. I'll gladly pay a bit more at ANY other grocery store. Besides Walmart items are usually include in any and all FDA recalls. So long Walmart! read more

This used to be one of the most decent Walmart's in town. Now that they've added some major upgrades to the place seems like a small prison camp. Cameras attached to the top of just about every shelf in the garden. A lot of stuff under lock and key including masking tape, and zip ties! The friendliest person there was the greeter at the entrance by the pharmacy. She was about the only courteous, polite, and decent human being there. Everyone else is a robot, no human interaction what so ever. God help you if you even dare ask anyone for help. It's like your trying to drag a dead corpse and asking them to cross the Grand Canyon on a bed of nails and broken glass. Some of the employees were more focused on their phones and phone calls rather than actually work. They obviously didn't wanna be there, and hell I didn't wanna be there after seeing the low morale of that place. I understand I arrived after 7pm on a Sunday, but there were a lot of empty shelves that hadn't been restocked. I was starting to question if the place was going belly up like Sears at the rate everything seemed to be going. At least they cleaned the floors and kept it somewhat decent looking. I found an item under the holiday knickknacks section without a price label so I found an electronic scanner in the baby section nearby. I walked up to the scanner to see the price and I had noticed there was a female associate nearby there stocking the baby clothes. After spending a minute trying to scan the item without success the associate turns her head and looks at me like I just took a hot steamy dump on her Cheerios and rudely tells me "that scanners not gonna work, go find another one". I was appalled at how how rude she was about it. I went to the grocery aisles to find another scanner and saw another associate stocking the candy aisle. I tried getting their attention to ask where I could find another price scanner and they completely ignored me. I couldn't believe it. After that I said screw it, looked at the holiday section then took off. I was so shocked and quite upset about how poor the customer service service was and how low the morale of the employees appeared to be. It's bad enough I dislike going to Walmart in general because of busy they can get, but after this visit they just put the final nail in the coffin, and gave me another reason to take my business elsewhere. Well I can say store is clean and since they have went with self checkout I can finally get out of the store quickly instead of waiting forever to be checked out but now they just need to get it down at nights to keep the self checkouts open instead of one lane which keeps everyone waiting eons just to purchase something. read more

I am probably one of the few who likes WalMart. I think it gets a bad rap. Do I prefer Target? Yes. But sometimes Walmart is the best choice. We buy our kitty litter here. It's inexpensive, good quality (I know that sounds weird but from a cats perspective, it fits) and only at Walmart. So, just about once a month, we trek to Walmart to get the litter and pick up some sundries. You can't beat some of their prices and these days I am paying attention to spending unnecessarily, I would rather save In case you have not tried them, their birthday cakes with the whipped cream icing are excellent! We rarely eat cake but when birthdays come around, if it's not homemade, WalMart cakes get ordered. This store is like most others, it's just laid out differently. read more

This Walmart has been so good to us. It's our neighborhood store, so we use it for grocery pickup. The process for pickup is so easy, and the associates are always in a great mood, up for some fun banter, and super helpful. We recently ordered something online to be shipped to store, and when the delivery service failed to get it to the store during receiving hours, Victoria took it completely upon herself to get the issue sorted and called me herself TWICE to keep me updated! Walmart usually gets a bad rap, but when the customer service is this good and the prices are good, too, you keep coming back. read more

Wal-Mart is Wal-Mart, wherever you go. I prefer not to shop there...but I do sometimes anyways. I'd say I go out of my way to shop somewhere else about 80% of the time. The staff is often unfriendly and not helpful. Sometimes the lines are unbearably long. The morale there seems very low, which is a shame because Wal-Mart makes billions upon billions of dollars a year. You would think that they could become more eco-friendly and respect their employees with better benefits. The pros: According to some websites, 90% of Americans have a Wal-Mart within 15 minutes of them. So they are very convenient. They usually have decent deals and one stop shopping. read more

Used (tried to) online photo with pickup at this store. The result was horrible. First, they could not find any trace of my prepaid order. Finally, a stack was located that was a ghost order with no information attached. These were mine. The quality was terrible. The clerk said that depending on the machine, the quality is variable. So I asked for a refund. He sent me to customer service which was anything but. The lady who helped me was not service oriented, could care less about her attitude, and if had burst into flames, I am certain she would have just moved to the next customer. So, after about an hour of frustration, I got my refund and had my yearly reminder on why I avoid this Walmart at all costs. read more

What can I say about Walmart that everyone that has ever shopped at a Walmart doesn't know? Let's be honest, the only reason people shop at Walmart is because its convient and cheap. This Walmart is dirty (not surprising) and they never have enough cashier's so there are always long lines. This Walmart also never has enough items stocked on the shelf so they are always out of what I need. I most likely end up buying a more expensive or off brand version of the product. Buyer beware! We just returned an item that we did not have a receipt for and Customer Service only gave us a $1.50 back for the item that was priced $6.24 on the shelf. When we challenged this with Customer Service and showed them a picture of the item on the shelf they told us we needed to talk with somebody in the specific department. When we spoke with someone in the department they said because the item and it's packaging were older, this is why it was marked in the computer (not on the packaging as clearance) to $1.50 and the other items (same exact product, newer packaging) were proceed at $6.24. Wally World is what Wally World is. You know they never have enough cashiers so expect to wait in line. Made worse when a guy ahead of you tried to use an expired debit card. The cashier should have had the guy stand aside, but no, they tried to work with the guy which took about 10-15 minutes before they got his payment issue resolved. I think he should have been sent to customer service. You all know what Walmart is like and some of you refuse to shop there. Sometimes it is hard to find an item and quite often an item you want is out of stock. If you can deal with the hassles and checkout problems it isn't the worse place to shop. read more

Wal-Mart is far from my favorite and I especially dislike this store. The employees are rude, bathrooms are disgusting, check out lines are always too long, and the store is always a mess. Tonight I found a new reason to dislike this store - the service desk closes at 8pm? WTF?? A store that is open 24 hours has a service desk that closes at 8 pm. Who does that in this day and age? The rude employee told me that it was her store manager that mandated the early closing time. I am not sure if this person will be manager for long. I am not sure this is the route Walmart should br taking if they want to compete with Amazon. Any person that works normal business hours and gets off at 6 pm will only have 2 hours to return merchandise to the store. For a chain that has come to embody all that is sick and wrong with suburban sprawl and big box stores, this particular store sticks out as an example of all that is wrong with Walmart. I feel like I take my life into my hands every time I even walk through their parking lot. The inside of the store feels disorderly and dirty. It's crowded and confusing and a wholly unpleasant shopping experience. I avoid it whenever I can, but like that fast food you have every so often when you know you shouldn't, I find myself back at Walmart every so often, too. It's too cheap or convenient sometimes. I love the new self service and pickup. Unfortunately, they don't have enough people working to take care of checkout when busy or cart pickup. Saturday 2/17 at 7 pm self checkout line was past the walk through all the way back past the greeting cards. Managers were standing around talking instead of directing customers or checking or bagging or making sure people with full carts were not in the 20 items or less line. We waited 30 minutes to get checked out. Our cashier didn't even know her produce codes and the very slow moving man checking out customers in the express lane didn't know that some tomatoes are sold by the bag and not the pound. He spent several minutes talking it over with his customer before moving forward. Today, February 20th at 2:30. There were carts all over the parking lot where cars couldn't drive through. Managers, again, were standing around talking. Stockers were visiting as well. I interrupted the managers to tell them. I shouldn't have had to. They don't even have to go outside to look, although they should, they could see the space for the carts was nearing empty. I understand that self service and efficiency keep prices down. I also understand that more than likely management gets bonuses based on profits. In these cases customer service is suffering! What happened to multitasking? Get the stockers and managers to help, train your cashiers to do their job efficiently, choose who is the best for each job and force your cashiers to learn their codes. It is not difficult unless a bonus is more important!!!! read more

OMG what was I thinking? A lot of registers yet only a few open. The "speedy" checkout for Twenty items or less is a magnet for those who count differently than normal. A basket full is not under twenty items. I tried self checkout three times and each time waited and waited for a clerk to assist. So annoyed but wouldn't be if they had more cashiers or better yet working self service kiosk. Walmart may be cheaper but it costs you time you will never get back. read more

Ahh this Wal-Mart. It is part of a story we tell everyone when we describe our first experiences in Albuquerque. My husband and I moved here in May, 2015. We did the 11 hour drive from L.A. area one day. We got to ABQ around 10 or 11 at night. After stopping at the house to unload the car and the dogs we stopped at this Wal-Mart for an air mattress and other essentials. We pull into the parking lot which is illuminated by blue and red flashing lights. "Uh-oh..." we thought. But it didn't stop us from attempting to do our late night shopping. We get to the entrance and cop cars are surrounding a man in the parking lot "Sir, put your pants back on!" they said through the megaphone. "Sir, we have asked you twice to put your pants back on, it's getting a little weird now..." There was clearly a man walking in the parking lot with no pants on. His shirt was long enough to cover anything but inappropriate nonetheless. And so funny to us. We walked in the store like "Wow, welcome to Albuquerque". We always share that story to people when they come visit. I think the man was just a little too intoxicated. There was nothing else super dangerous about it--just he didn't feel like wearing pants, I guess. #TeamNoPants Anyways, back to Wal-Mart itself. This is a big Wal-Mart with groceries and anything else you would need. Service has always been good and is just like any other Wal-Mart. It always seems packed according to the parking lot but when you go inside its never ridiculously packed. There used to be a Subway in the back but when I went there last, it was closed down. I don't know if it is permanent or just remodeling it. They have some self check out registers which is nice when it IS packed and all you have is a few items. All in all, not a bad place. read more

I've never really been a fan of Walmart. The reasons I've never like walmart are one it's always packed. Second reason after your done fighting with the crowds you run to the check out line looking for the shortest line; only to find out they're no short lines. If you don't mind dealing with mobs of crazy people then Walmart is for you. I don't so I try to avoid it. read more

Whoever is running the Walmart on Coors Bypass and Ellison in Albuquerque NM is doing a terrible job. EVERYTIME I go there there are employees just standing around with maybe 5 checkout lanes open. The people running the check out lanes are slow and rude. I spent a total of 30 minuets just trying to check out. With as much money as we spend there I would expect descent customer service. read more

First of all when my cousin and I walked into the store we were looking for something and I asked one of the workers and he really said "idk" in a rude tone and walked away. So I went and asked a group of workers that were together and they just kept going with their conversation and completely ignored me while they were laughing and messing around. Then while my cousin and I were at the register my cousin told the girl at the register "hi how is your day going" and she just stayed quiet and kept scanning. Then at the end my cousin said thank you and she just said the total not acknowledging my cousin at all. When we left I called the Walmart to leave a complaint and no one answered. Had an issue with somthing costing more then marked, went to customer service and spoke to Bernadette, she was nice at first, and of course after looking for the price of the item came back to say it was in the wrong spot. I said ok I will just return it, she cut me off and said very rudely "well if you would let me finish" I said whoa hold up, no reason to be like that, got my refund and left. At one time this location was America's #1 location, but not anymore. They never and I mean never have enough cashiers. The hot chicken will be cold before you hit the door guaranteed. They check everyone leaving like they are criminals. If you can avoid this place do it at all costs. read more

I visited this store about 7 am. Everything that I purchased I got at a very reasonable price which is standard with Walmart. The store was clean and I was able to navigate the aisles with no problems. They had everything I needed in stock. The lines were short this morning and I was able to get in and out of the store in a very quick trip. read more

I wouldn't recommend you go here to buy your phone if you haven't already decided which phone you want. If you know exactly what phone you want and exactly what service plan, how many minutes, texting, data all that, then you can feel ok to go here and basically just pick up your mobile phone. But don't go here if you don't know exactly what you want. I didn't know exactly and the person helping me was not knowledgeable which is not what I needed. I had to end up leaving, going to a Verizon store and then I came back to check the price and the plan to see if it was cheaper. It just took me a lot longer. UNBELIEVABLE check out experience. Had 7 DIFFERENT coupons, and cashier said they had a new policy that they could only accept one per purchase. They were 7 DIFFERENT purchases on ONE transaction. Spent 10 minutes arguing with cashier who did not speak English as her primary language. It's a sad day when the consumer knows the store policy better than the employee! Advice: DO NOT USE COUPONS AT THAT STORE IF YOUR CASHIER ISNT AMERICAN!!!! read more
