Came here on a regular Thursday evening after work. Pretty solid Walmart, however a bit on the smaller side for a Supercenter and a lot of people. The produce section is smaller than what I am used to in a supercenter walmart. But everything appears to be fresh, just limited options and empty bins for produce. I honestly cannot imagine coming here on the weekend. Meats, bakery section looked pretty good. Shelves for everything else was well stocked. The parking lot is way too small. People were driving around in circles doing laps looking and waiting for a space. They share the parking lot with Chuck-E-Cheese, so that's problematic and chaotic. Poor planning in that respect. Ok Walmart, just too small for the number of people that come to shop there. read more

Only come here if you want your personal information taken for absolutely no reason. My cousin and I have been shopping here for years, and that day we spent over $230 in the store. We accidentally missed scanning a water bottle, immediately admitted it was an honest mistake, and went to pay for it. Instead, we were treated like criminals and sent to customer service. Then they asked for my ID and took a picture of it without asking or explaining why. I had to ask FIVE times before someone finally said it was "for documentation." Nobody could answer my questions or explain what they were doing with my information. Apparently taking pictures of customers' IDs is more important than having the basic professionalism to explain what the hell you're doing. Absolutely ridiculous, completely unnecessary, and I will not be returning to this Walmart. read more

About this past Wednesday July 1st - a little after 8am. I went to customer service to send money. I usually write on a sticky note all the necessary information to make my transaction easier. The lady declined to take it. She then asked me tell her.. her tone n body language was just bad. Why was she being difficult n rude We went back n forth through the whole process.. I always dread interacting with staff at walmart bcoz they're so unpredictable.. Sometime back last winter, I watched for more than 5 minutes, as staff chatted near the cart area. They glanced at me n continued chatting.. They're lucky to work at walmart- this is by far the most impolite chain of stores I know.. However there's one or two staff that r very professional.. This may be the worst Walmart ever. Arrived 1.5 hours before closing and could barely walk down any aisles. Of course employees have to stock... but how does management expect people to shop when the items are baracaded by boxes. I couldn't walk down most aisles at all. Stopped here to grab a few last minute items we needed for our upcoming event we were attending for work. It was a crazy madhouse, which I expected with it being a Saturday. Parking lot was nearly full meaning that it was tight parking for me. I came in here and went and grabbed the last few items that I needed. As I said, it was a madhouse and people were everywhere. I was becoming a bit overwhelmed with the amount of people and the noise. I made my way through the aisles and found what I needed, some items were harder to find than others. Which is not surprising since no two stores are alike. Checking out was a bit more exhausting than I had the stretch for. But I made it through and was out the door soon enough. Back to the crazy parking lot and squeezing into my vehicle. While in the store I noticed that whoever parked next to me dinged my door. This is regarding the 6303 Richmond Hwy Supercenter in Alexandria, VA. Apparently, with them, it's either heaven or hell. For nearly a year, I have been ordering groceries for delivery from this store. I started after surgery prevented me from going out for some time. It was usually great, with deliveries right to my door. A few times items were omitted or I was sent the wrong item, but overall, it was a pretty good experience. I always tipped the drivers, and with very large orders, gave them extra cash when they delivered the order. On this past Friday, I placed an order for delivery the next day, Saturday, by 11am. It didn't arrive. I got several texts saying they were sorry for the delay and that it would arrive soon. At 3:10pm, I called and was able to get a live rep who told me they were having problems with drivers not showing up, but that the order would definitely arrive by 6pm. By 6:30 the order had not arrived, and I had received no further texts. I rescheduled the delivery for Sunday by 12noon. At 11:40am on Sunday, I received a text saying they were sorry but my order would be delayed until 2:10pm. At 2pm I received another text saying again that it would be further delayed. At 6:45, I called and spoke with a live rep who told me they were having delivery problems but that my order was out for delivery and that I would definitely receive it by 7:45pm, and if it didn't arrive, he would call me back. By 8:55, I still had not received my order or a callback and called again (getting past the bot is a real exercise in patience). I spoke with a different live rep who was very hard to understand, but eventually told me that they had tried to have the order delivered, but so far, four drivers had "refused the order". What?!! He just kept repeating that they had refused to make the delivery. I asked why I had been promised delivery by the previous rep, and he basically said he had lied to me because no one would take the order and had canceled the order without telling me and that was why he never called me back. Again, What? This whole time, I'm looking at my Walmart order online and it still says "delayed", not canceled. This guy was talking in circles the whole time. He finally told me the best thing to do was to cancel the order and reorder from a different Walmart. He had already told me the order had been canceled by the other rep I spoke to, so what's going on here? Then he said he would cancel the order for me (??) and to please give him a good rating since Walmart was at fault, not him. He gave me addresses of other "nearby" Walmart locations, but when I looked them up, the addresses he gave me were not listed. There are only 2 other locations listed online and they are too far for delivery. And I've paid for delivery for another 7 months. What rotten treatment! You just can't trust anyone anymore. Walmart needs either a complete overhaul or a buyout by a reputable firm that actually cares about its customers. They like to leave you twisting in the wind. read more

I accidentally wound up at this location as there are two on Richmond Highway and I meant to visit the other location. Parking is terrible and no cart returns unless you get a close parking space. Self-checkout was also extremely slow here. I did not think the organization of the store aligned with other locations and it took a long time to find things. Help was also nowhere to be found. I'm now confident in the address of the other location and will visit that one moving forward. read more

Superstores are always nice and there never seem to be many around when you need one. This one has the usual produce to automotive and everything in between that you're familiar with at any other Walmart superstore location. I get my rotisserie chickens (lemon pepper, rosemary) from here as well as my beloved Blue Bell black walnut ice cream and ice cream kakes. The rotisserie isn't Sam's or Costco good, but it's pretty good. Parking lot here always seems to be overcrowded so I think they could benefit from more space. There's a Chuck E. Cheese next door and a few other businesses in an ajoining strip mall as well as street side (Walmart sits about 150 yards off Richmond Hwy). Lots available in the area from Five Guys to Krispy Kreme + service is a bit better than most Walmart storea so I like coming to this location. I remember calling around one night looking for the infamous "Pattie Pie." I called this location and spoke to a young lady who not only went and retrieved one, but held it for me until I got there an hour later. Good service. read more

This place is an absolute joke. I tried calling at least 9 times during the day to reach someone in bakery. Well, it's impossible to reach a human, whether you choose bakery, deli, or HR. The only people who answer are in pharmacy - they tried patching me to customer service. The first time, someone picked up after 9 or 10 rings only to immediately hang up. The second time I called the very nice Pharmacist, she offered to try to connect me to customer service one more time (again no answer), but is unable to leave her station to hunt down an actual human. Not that she should have to. This experience tells me all I need to know about shopping here. read more

The parking here is terrible. It is definitely insufficient for the crowds. The store is clean but I picked up two items that were expired. The prices seem high. Be extremely cautious using their self-checkout system. It will ask you whether or not you want a printed receipt. ALWAYS GET A PRINTED RECEIPT. Walmart has a track record of accusing people who mistakenly forget to scan an item, or for whom the system did not register an item, of theft. I ordered some gifts to be delivered from this Walmart to my Brother & Sister in Law and the driver said he attempted to deliver, but did not. My In laws told me that Walmart always just leaves their items on their doorstep and it has never been a problem and asked me why they did not. Online support could not tell me why, but said they will reattempt. I asked them to relay a message to the driver that he can leave the packages on the door step, but if he requires them to be home, they arrive home after 5 p.m. on weeknights and after 1 pm on the next day Saturday. Well she said call the local store and talk to the pick up deliver dept, as we cannot put a note on t he account, nor can you now that the order was already placed to let them know. I called this store over and over again througout the afternoon and nobody answered any of the phone lines excpet for Pharmacy and Pharmacy were not willing to take a message to give to someone to help and told me they cannot get someone for me or get a manager. Nobody is willing to help. I was nice. I explained the situation, nobody had empathy, the Pharmacist just said come here, well I would if I could. We live in South Carolina and you are in Virginia, hello... So rude, This store is not at all operating well if they cannot answer calls, get help or a Manager for someone in need. read more

On Friday, February 9, I visited Store #5753 (6303 Richmond Hwy) to return some items. I shared the following with NIHAD (Associate): 1. This receipt (as I am handing it to her) is for some of the items (that I was pulling out of the bag). 2. The receipt for some of the items were at home, but I have the receipt on my phone. 3. I was told that it was my understanding that she can look up the receipt using my credit card (and she agreed). 4. I want all the credit to go back to my credit card. While executing the transaction NIHAD shared that she could not find some of the items and offered the reason being that Store #5753 did not have the same items in inventory. I shared such was odd because I returned some of the same items the day before in that very store without the receipt and it was able to be found using my credit card. NIDHAD presented me with a credit receipt as well as a Walmart card for the items that I did not have receipt for. I shared that I did not want or request a Walmart card. NIHAD told me that I had. I made it clear that I had not and repeated #1 - #4 above. NIDHAD cut me off twice while do so and as she did, NIDHAD raised her voice each time. I told NIDHAD that her raising her voice as if I could not hear or as if I am a child is not welcoming and I don't tolerate such - especially during Black History Month. I told her that I am grown old man - 70 years old and I had raised my voice a single time. Stanley, Team Lead, approached and claimed he did not hear any of our conversation. I shared what happened and reiterated that I will not tolerate such behavior - especially during Black History Month. Handing me the items that I did not have a receipt for Stanley ensured me that I could return them with my receipt. I left disappointed and disgusted. Even though I had purchased the items at Store #5753, I drove a few miles south and interestingly the Associate there found the items immediately. The Associate said I multiple receipts in the system and NIDHAD simply did not look at all of them as she successfully credited my credit card. NIDHAD raising her voice was unnecessary and rude. NIDHAD doing as she pleased and not as I asked is a cry for additional coaching or training. read more

The store offers all types of items - from groceries to hardware. It's always crowded though, so be prepared to wait in long lines. I took the bread back to the store to show them afterall it wasn't what I expected from Walmart. This place is convenient if you live nearby; however, avoid peak hours. If you visit from 6am to 11am the experience is completely different than peak times. Anytime after 4pm this place becomes a zoo without any keepers and you will easily get trampled. There's not much room to move carts around either and people are all over one another. Most of the staff is at self-checkout making sure folks don't steal. Print your receipt! Parking is very inconvenient too and there is hardly ever any close parking. read more

The wait time for curbside is ridiculous and no one answers the phone for pickup. I waited 45 minutes for my items with a fussy baby and the flu! I had to keep getting out of the car with the baby to talk to staff. One lady said she had been waiting for an hour! When they finally brought my groceries, one of my items were missing and I had to take baby out the car, yet again, to talk to someone. One associate claimed its probably the item they cancelled, I assured him that it was not and showed the items from my app. He still insisted. Another associate came to the rescue and ran and got the item. The whole experience was awful and I'll never do pickup at the Alexandria Supercenter. I would have given this Wal Mart a five, but two times now I have bought eggs and when I got home two of them were broke. This happened when the cashier squeezed the two eggs at the end to put in the bag. Please be more careful when putting the eggs in the bag. I check my eggs when I get them out the refrigerator and they were fine. When you check your eggs after you pay. Pick up the eggs at the end. The cracks are usually at the bottom. read more

Terrible store and I wish I could give it zero stars. However, I have used the Walmart premium delivery program for a year and been happy with it. I had the day off Monday and decided to visit a Walmart store for the first time in over 20 years. The checkout clerk failed to give me a bag with 3 items that I purchased. I tried calling this store multiple times for several days and no one ever picked up at any of the available phone options including human resources. I had to call the main Walmart customer assistance number 3 times to even get a response from this store. One woman called me back Tuesday after 5 pm and left a voice mail with the same store phone number that no one ever answers and blamed me for leaving the bag. The main 1-800 customer service rep reached the store today and I was told that I had to come back to the store with the receipt. I asked why could I just not email a copy to them since the time and info of the transaction is on the receipt and they could check the store cameras. The woman said her manager said this was not an option and I said I was not driving back to that store in the heavy traffic. And why did it take over 3 full days to even respond? I gave this Walmart a try today for groceries, but the frozen food section was largely barren shelves. Has the Great Depression II started? I realize there are container ship problems but how on earth can the management allow inadequate stock on the shelves. Every empty shelf is company profit lost. I'm not for sure why I keep doing this to myself by patronizing Walmart. They level of dependency is real. I think you need to be strategic around what time to visit Walmart. On this particular day, I visited after 5pm. Not a good idea. Many of the produce was empty. By 6pm there seemed to be severe understaffing. When I got ready to check out, with my many items, I went the self check out route, given the efficiency. That night it seemed like many of those registered were not working. To make matters worse, I didn't see the 20 items or less sign. Overall, I see why Walmart continues to stay in business. Convenience. They live up to the stereotype of 'only 2-3 registers working'. I guess you know what you're getting into when you go to Walmart but you should still avoid this store. I only go here because they're the only ones that carry the brand of Propel I drink. However they're almost always out of it or any other item I need. They also don't carry a lot for a Supercenter store. The lines are always too long as well and they close the self check out after a certain hour. What really made me write this review was the employee collecting carts tonight. I was pushing mine into the corral and asked him if he wanted me to push it into the other carts. He literally screamed at me to just leave it there and stared at me. It was uncalled for and rude. Oye! MANAGERS PAY ATTENTION! Where do I start: The outside is always trashed. Trash everywhere. The store always seems to be dingy. They obviously don't clean it like they should. They don't have a lot. The shoe isle is almost none existent. The interior of this location reminds me of a K-Mart going out of business. This Wal-Mart is never stocked. Shelves and items are always empty or gone. The late night crowd is super sketchy. I've had customers screaming at the staff for whatever reasons and it's very unsettling. Not necessarily the stores fault, BUT if they had a late night security guard this would help to alleviate much of the riff-raff. The theft rate of this place has to be super high. There was a lady checking out at the register, but intentionally failed to put a pair of shoes and some sort of hair product on the belt. They were never scanned and she quickly put her bags, with the paid items, on top of the shoes. I informed the cashier and she didn't even blink. "What was she stealing" was her only response. She didn't give two shits and did absolutely nothing. She continued to ring my stuff up. Some locations have there shit together, but this location does not. What the hell is going on? read more

I wanted to make this a 1 star review. Went in to buy and exchange an empty propane tank. I went to 3 different registers and nobody knew how to ring me up until I told her to ask their coworker who was having a casual conversation next to them. I want to stress that they ALL looked at me like I was bothering them. Finally the last lady rung me up and told me to look for someone who can open it for me. I asked around and nobody seemed to have an answer for me. Finally a lady appeared with a key and I was able to exchange my empty propane tank... with another EMPTY propane tank. I didn't know this since I was making this trip for my mom. My mom told me to go back and get a full one. I wanted to get angry with the lady who gave me the empty propane tank and sent me on my merry way. (I'm aware this would make me a Karen, and this looks like a Karen post but it's not.) When I got back to this location I was looking for the lady and was nowhere to be found. Thankfully Mohammad helped me resolve this issue. Even with a limp, he gracefully helped me with no problem. He made my problem his problem, and empathized with me. He went to customer service to verify who has the key. They told him who had it and we walked across the store to find the original lady. He took the key from her, we walked outside, picked a full tank, and even put it inside my car. He's the only reason I'm not making this a 1 star post. Please give that man a raise. read more

Walmart was supposedly to close today at 11pm but they didn't even put a sign for the costumers saying their early close today and my pregnant wife went to get to toothbrushes . So she went at 10:20... she didn't k le about Walmart had close early and when she got at the Walmart door a employee told her yelling her that they close early because they wanted to close, to go away. Um, is this place a hell hole? I don't know, but the staff and customers are so rude it's like a bad remake of Get Out. So what do we do? I recommend ordering online, and getting all your essentials shipped to your home. Vote with your wallet. Try Amazon Fresh and their other services. This will keep you out the store except for urgent purchases. Better than nothing. I can't get into all that's happened here, but you can tell they have a guilty conscience by how much they stare.
