Ever since they remodeled the front registers it has been faster checking out with a cashier than self check out. This is the closest Walmart to house so I'm glad that I'm not waiting in line forever anymore. But why do you have the candles locked up. It deters me from buying them here because I can't have the worker stand there while I smell the candles. What if I pick one and I don't like the smell when they close the case back up. And the employees have gotten faster to come unlock locked up items. But the candles being locked up makes me want to go target to buy candles or a different Walmart. read more

Last night when driving back through customs, the agent had us put the back window down, and the window got stuck and wouldn't come back up. The next morning, we went to this walmart to get some duct tape, a putty knife, and a red bull to try and pull the window back up and secure it. This walmart had everything we were looking for to get the job done. We even performed the repair in the parking lot! 10/10 experience. Walmart has what you need. read more

I came to return 2 items in the evening and saw a young girl putting up cones in front of customer service as I was approaching. I asked if she could help me with a return and she pointed to a manager that was in a checkout lane. After I waited for him for it seemed like 10 minutes, he was nasty with me and kept saying over and over "customer service is only open until 8. You can't do a return, the customer service is closed. No one can do returns past 8pm." I didn't think this was ever the case. When did you guys start closing early? I looked up the customer service hours and it is posted as 11pm. Managers should help manage not only employees, but manage the day to day operations efficiently, not do the bare minimum and close early. It wasn't even busy. read more

6 years later, let's see if it's improved... Nope! Despite ultra long checkout lines, they refuse to open up all self checkout machines. Only 3 machines open. Also half of the merchandise (maybe an exaggeration, but it's a lot now) is behind locked glass doors. OK not a huge deal if they have enough staff to open the doors and get the items for you. I asked for an item and ther person just pointed to an area, no words nothing, and she didn't even point to the correct area. Store is dirty. Long lines. And if you are going to lock items up such as deodorant, finger nail polish etc .at least have a worker there to provide assistance to get it unlocked. The cashiers work very hard at the store. The vast majority of store assistants were gathered together in clusters of two, three or four, discussing such things, as their pets, the difficulty in finding babysitters and vacations they were looking forward to going on. I took photographs of clusters of these people who acted as though they were being disturbed when a question was asked of them. There was no chance that anyone was going to escort me to where they believed the rocksalt was stored. I took photographs of these clusters which my wife will not let me post because she doesn't want anyone to get in trouble. It was impossible to get a straight answer about where they keep the rocksalt to melt snow. After being sent to lawn and garden, and housewares, and three other aisles, I finally asked for the store manager who told me they haven't had rocksalt for weeks and weren't planning on getting any more in. The manager was very helpful. I used to really enjoy this Walmart. The store continues to be clean, and to have hard-working cashiers, but the majority of helpers are completely unhelpful. We did see a couple of hard-working folks, stocking shelves, or helping customers, but the good ones all had five or six customers following them, waiting their turn for service. I had given the curbside pickup many chances and this last visit got me so upset I didn't even want to shop at this location. First i arrived and I checked in. Waited about an hour and still no one came out. I called the number that was posted in parking lot and no answer for 15 minutes I tried contacting them. Then I called main store and they just hanged up on me 3 times! I was getting annoyed so bad I looked at yelp to see time they closing and omg, I found out 11pm so it was 10:35pm and come to find out there was no more employees working the curbside pickup. I was here at 9:30pm and left at 10:45pm. I then called the customer service and they cancelled my order for me. But of course I had to call them twice to get my refund. What is going on with Wal-mart? I use to like shopping here but even their selves are not stocked. I hope they get things straightened out. read more

This remains a three star experience for me. Largely because it's such a large chain that really they should be pretty good at what it does. So it's just fine. Covid has really changed how they're operating. Initially they struggled to tell people to put on masks, but they don't do that anymore. Now if you don't have a mask you don't get in. Has to be the worst run Walmart in NY State. Majority of employees are foreign and do not understand English and refuse to help in anyway. Shelves are empty, shortage of checkout lines and EVERYTHING is now locked up due to rampant theft with no one to come around and unlock locked up items. Walmart has saved me when I needed to buy something at an off hour and other stores are closed. I've gone to this location twice for that reason. Recently I came for limes and a cake board. The produce section is modern and spacious, but the organization is wonky and there were many empty shelves. For example, bags of limes were in a section with other bagged produce, instead of with the table of limes and lemons to purchase by the pound. Also, a bag of limes were more expensive here for the same quantity than Wegmans. The cake decorating aisle (G19) was also a mess at 7:30 in the morning. This seems like a theme at most Walmart locations, guess they don't spend time tidying up the shelves? However they had something close enough to what I was looking for, so I got it. The staff that I did interact with were friendly, but I felt uncomfortable when the door greeter coughed without covering her mouth or turning away as I was walking out. read more

So the college kids are here and they need a chaperone to go wit them to the stores , they were playing football in the aisles, they had every electric scooter riding and racing on them , there were large crowds of them just standing in the way around the subway, not to mention they were so disrespectful , rude and loud. I went to the Walmart on Sheridan. Everything in cosmetics is locked up. I understand it's a high theft area. But even with three employees standing in the department talking, I was completely ignored. And when a rude customer across the department yelled for service, one went right past me to help the woman. I just left and went to Walgreens. I know we can save a dollar at Walmart but it is not worth the aggravation. Go to your local drug store and grocery stores. They have what you need and the employees will help you. read more

It's amazing that I forget yearly why I don't shop at wallyworld... then I go in and have the same bad experience, vow not to shop here and then a year later do it all over again....Today, I asked where keto items were located in grocery, clerk sent me to pharmacy... huge misdirection... not surprising.... my bad for asking... I have read a few reviews regarding how bad this location is. I must say I never had an issue, probably because I come here early and I avoid certain days. At times I still have to wait in log lines at the registers.nit seems they only want to have 3-4 registers open at a time. They focus more attention, on the self checkout stations. I rarely need customer service, but when I do. I have never had a issue that could not be resolved. The prices and the product quality here is good. Well worth coming here. read more

I prefer to shop late at night when stores aren't so packed. Tonight , my son dragged me here so he can decorate our tree tonight. I also like to food shop here. Very large selection of EVERYTHING in the food department. I suggest coming here for all your shopping needs, preferably during the night hours is best. read more

I have no idea why I keep giving this location a chance. This place never seems to be stocked. Last year we asked a worker (clearly an employee as he was wearing a vest) where the air conditioners were and he just said "my shift done". If I was on break I would at least point to the area the customer was looking for. The lines are always ridiculous. Today we went early morning to avoid a crowd and the shelves were still poorly stocked and still only 3 registers open. Driving to the lockport Walmart would be more worthwhile. read more

My husband and I come here often because of the low prices and selection, but recently I had a very poor customer service experience that I just couldn't get over. I know it's the holiday season and everyone is busy, but this was pretty egregious. Now, normally it's the customers who get on my nerves. This sort of thing can't be helped and shouldn't be part of any review of the store. However, it's really shocking how many items are behind glass for anti-shoplifting purposes. People are really stealing condoms and toiletries? Anyways, my husband wanted something behind one of the cases, so he pressed the button for service. About 5 minutes afterwards, an associate came by, asked us if we needed keys, and then promptly vanished. We thought she was going to go get the keys, but we never saw her again. We waited about 15 minutes for her to come back. Then, we asked another associate to help us. She declined, saying she was assisting someone else. We pressed the button again, but no one came this time. There were other people waiting to have cases opened for them as well. One woman explained to an associate (who also disappeared) that she'd been waiting for 20 minutes. She hadn't even been around when we first rang the bell, so I pulled out to see on my phone how long WE had been waiting...over a half an hour. I will probably never accompany my husband to this store again. Usually everyone is at least polite, but that was lacking this particular time. The jerks I've had to deal with here are usually the customers, like I said before. The low standard of customer service this time of year has gotten me down lately and Walmart is the worst offender. I know this isn't a shock, but I still expect to be treated like I matter. Hopefully I never need anything Walmart exclusive in the future. read more

I have to be honest, I rather make the drive out to the Transit location than go here, but in the case of an emergency- I stop in here! When I say WALMART EMERGENCY I mean- I need my Chapstick cheap, or I need some throw on sneakers cheap or some Pop cheap. Now, that I think about it, I don't know why I put myself through this location just to save a couple bucks VS going to a different store. I have had this happen on more than one occasion. Once I called for a manager because several items on the grocery shelf were a year passed due & rotting. After about 45 minutes they finally found a women who was very nice & removed the items but still was not the last time this happened. The store is dirty, the employees either walking around or on their phones. Clientele are often nasty & don't get me started on the behavior in the parking lot. This store is a 5 minute drive from home but I go out of my way to different Walmarts. read more

Very poorly run location. Walked in to return an item at 6:30PM on a Wednesday evening to find the customer service area closed. Many staff were attributing this to staff shortages but the store had plenty of staff on not so busy check out lanes; how could one not keep the service desk going? I kind of despise Walmart, I really do. There's just a stigma associated with it and I have yet to have a good experience. The store itself is dirty. Granted I spent a lot of time here throughout back to college week so I guess I shouldn't be complaining that the majority of the store was filthy, messy and picked through but that's exactly what it was. This is a Walmart, like any other. You'll find whatever your looking for and probably leave with more than what you need. We stopped here on a random Saturday night since we were staying nearby and were surprised to see that they'd put a Walmart over here. Anyway, the most unnerving part of our visit was the length of every single line in the store. We easily stood for 25-30 minutes awaiting checkout. I was shocked and I'd never seen anything quite like it. The management never called for more cashiers or opened any additional lines to alleviate the problem. Instead they paced back and forth until eventually disappearing altogether. Keep in mind this was a random Saturday night around 10:00pm, not holiday time or any other special occasion. I did my shopping then went to electronics dept. Found charging cable for my phone. It was locked up and nobody was there to open it. A employee called over the PA forsomeone to come. After 20 min nobody came. I walked all the way back to service desk,lady called for someone to go to electronics. I walked all the way back,after about 20-25 minutes nobody showed up. I also went to buy a box of YooHoo. There were 2 boxes way up on the top shelf. I searched for someone to get them down and of course could not find 1 employee. I had a cart full of groceries which i just left and walked out the door. I will Never shop in that store again. Its a complete mess!
