I adore a good potato chip and puff, so I enjoyed trying these. For more substantial snacks, I decided to grab bread, cheese, and meat. For times when we chilled back at the hotel, this was perfect. We purchased everything above, however I have no idea what the cilantro line item was. I don't recall buying cilantro at all, but who knows. As far as Walmarts go, this definitely doesn't have an overwhelming selection. It has the very basics and even at that it's limited in a lot of ways. More than anything it's just highly disorganized. I've been there numerous times, but most recently I came in with just enough time to grab everything I needed and head out as the store was closing. I was anxious and hopeful to make this a quick, swift trip AND then I reached the 30!!! Minute check out experience. The store was past closed when I was still waiting to pay. Limited staff despite the fact there seemed to be plenty in house. I understand if you need to restock, but the organization between check out and all of the departments where people seemed to be standing around was disappointing! read more

One of the trashiest Walmarts I have ever seen. The outside had a bunch of trash floating around. There were only a couple carts inside as they had not collected them from outside. It has a lot of other good stores around it, but the Walmart drinks down the entire shopping center. I am very surprised they have not gotten in trouble for a littering the inside of the store had a lot of misplaced items. It seemed like there was also a lot of stuff out of stock. Cars were also part to wherever the half they could find a spot so it made moving through the parking lot a chore. The staff was OK. Five Stars Is Not Enough for Ryan at the Walmart in Halethorpe! We want to give a HUGE heartfelt thank you to Ryan, the Store Manager at the Walmart Supercenter - Halethorpe. What he did for our community and our children this Christmas season is nothing short of extraordinary. We were on a mission to purchase 50 bicycles to give away to children impacted by gun violence and trauma--children who otherwise may not have woken up to a Christmas gift this year. Ryan didn't just process our order... he went above and beyond anything we could have ever expected. Not only did he personally deliver all 25 bikes from his Halethorpe store using his own truck, but he also went out of his way to pick up and deliver the additional 25 bikes from the Walmart Catonsville--again with his personal truck! He took two full days out of his own schedule to make sure these bikes reached our children in time for Christmas. Because of Ryan's kindness, dedication, and selfless heart, 50 children will wake up with a bike on Christmas morning--many of whom are healing from loss, grief, and trauma. That joy is because of him. Ryan truly represents the best of Walmart--compassion, leadership, and real community service. We are beyond grateful and will never forget what he did for our families. Last week, my dad and I were grocery shopping at the Walmart on Mallview Road. He bought over $200 worth of groceries and we went to the checkout and they had no bags whatsoever. This is the third time that this has happened. This all goes back to Management. This should not be happening. I know that we can bring in our own bags but also the store should also have bags there for people who don't have their bags. I stopped in just to get a sweet treat. The store was crowded. I did interact with one employee because I needed to locate an item. He was very kind and pointed me in the right direction. It was a pet item which I was picking up for someone else so I didn't get a photo of their receipt and item. However, I did get a photo of my two small items. My next interaction was with a cashier. She was friendly, understanding that I had two separate orders. She made the transactions painless. Let me tell you when I finally ate some of my sweet treats tonight, they were so fresh and delicious. I didn't expect that from the cake pop or muffins. Don't sleep on Walmart. Lol read more

I would recommend going to any other Walmart but this one. The checkout line is always so long due to them being understaffed. There is no self-checkout which I suspect is because of a shoplifting issue at this location. They do have a good selection and inventory of electronics, clothes, and food, I just wish they had more cashiers so the lines are not so long. read more

Unfortunately my spouse was in an accident and was taken to the Baltimore trauma center. Due to him needed to stay for weeks I had to go to this Walmart (closest one and not being from the area didn't want to drive to far) to get toiletries and additional clothes. The first time I cam here was on May 3rd with my sister in law which was around 7-8pm. I was unable to get some of the items I needed as they were in locked shelves and unable to get anyone in that department to help. When I was able to find other associates walking around filming tiktok videos with dance routines in aisles they did not have the key to assist so I gave up. We went to the front to checkout and the lines was literally to the back of the store. We selected a line (almost giving up part way through) as the cashier was supposed to be off but decided to stay longer to help at least get through her line so everyone didn't have to shift over to another one. During this time there were only 2 other lines besides ours open while there are over 15 different employees walking around the front of the store laughing and giggling including management. As tempers started to increase the manager asked one of them to hop on the register because the gentleman was becoming more and more irate. So why did it take people getting this angry for a manager to decide to help after seeing the lines the way they were? It took an hour just to be checked out after which they closed all the doors except for one so now outside we have to walk all the way to the other end of the parking lot! Unfortunately I had to come back 2 weeks later (spouse was still in the trauma center) to get some more items. Mistakenly I came back to this location but early in the morning thinking that would make the difference on the circus I saw 2 weeks prior. But nope, employees still walking around the store laughing and giggling with customers walking around seeking assistance. Lines were still almost to the back of the store and no manger in site to even help with half of the lines only taking cash. When I asked the cashier if something had been happening the last couple weeks for the store to be like this (large exit of employees, problem with their system, etc.) she said nope it is always like this. I can't imagine living in proximity to this store and dealing with this on a regular basis. Not even just the waiting in line but the childish behavior that seems to go on and is allowed at this location. Customer service is definitely not a priority here. The corporate office needs to visit this store and stay for at least a month and get this store on track before it becomes a complete disgrace. read more

It never fails when I visit this location that I spend more time in line then I did shopping around in the store.. These Walmart stores really need to have more lines open up in the store.. Ot doesn't matter the day, time of day or anything it's always horrible.. Like if you have the employees then open up more lines to service the customers.. It's no way you should be in a line to check out that long because the availability is t there for another line.. The lines are so backed up that they are in the clothing areas .. First time the incompetent delivery person left the package Outside the door of a high rise. Tried it again today but I see nothings changed!! Delivery person had a contact number that didn't work so when I tried to contact him like 6 times I couldn't help him find the place because he looked lost from the app. I called the company who also is no fucking help at all but did give me $10.00 wow! All I want is my order delivered! In-store might be good but their delivery sucks-ass every time!! This is one of worst Walmart when it comes to checking out. It took only 10 minutes to do the shopping and 35 minutes to checkout in the express shopping line. They have no self-checkout lines in this Walmart. In the past I have used the regular shopping lines and they have taken as much as 45 minutes to wait in the line and check out. I have seen people leave their full cart and walk out of the store without purchasing anything. After about 5 or 6 visits, each visit on a different day and time, I found the same thing. It is not just the staff, even the customers are wasting an enormous amount of time during checkout. It is much quicker to drive up to the Walmart in Columbia and return! I would rather go to Columbia or Catonsville and shop there. read more

this store location has ridiculous, long wait for pick up orders. I do understand that pick up will go through orders but they tend to push out orders for online pick up first even though people with delivery pick up orders been waiting for hours before online pick up people arrive. I did even ask why my pick up was so long I've been waiting for hours, associates just pretended to help checking then still pushed out orders for people that even just arrived at the spot for 5 minutes while I've been waiting for almost 2 hours. The phone number for the store doesn't even work, why minds to put it up? If the store is always busy at pick up location, the managers should hire more people to work efficiently. This has got to be the worst Wal-Mart I've ever seen. Even laurel isn't this bad yet. But it's getting there. There is loose carts all over the parking lot. Also bums shaking you down for change before even entering the store. Upon getting inside the store. There is not one not two but three workers at the door. Which is a very bad sign which would indicate they have a very high theft problem here. This location used to be 24hours but the manager said they reduced their hours because TV's were walking out during the night hours. WoW.... The employees are nowhere and I mean nowhere near classy. They don't say hi or anything. Tried asking a few for help and more then half of them had headphones in and would not take them off to answer you like your a ghost or something.... How is this even allowed in a place of business???? The entire store is nowhere near fully stocked. If barely stocked at all. There was tons of stuff either in the wrong spot or just sitting on the floor while employees walked right by it. The prices here seem higher then other Wal-Mart's. Which doesn't make any sense because the general area around the place is nowhere near rich. The lines are usually long here. It is a high volume store but they refuse to open more lines to satisfy customers which is very sad. Usually someone is yelling to the employees and using profanity to open another line. Can't really say this Wal-Mart is a family place due to the rude amount of language used by customers here. Now for the worst part. The customer base. The general customer base here is nowhere near high class. There were customers around the store blasting Bluetooth speakers with music and some customers yelling at their kids right in the front of the store. I seen two women empty half of their cart of stuff they didn't want which were food items in the clothing section. ???? ,Also another couple yelling physical threats at an employee because she wouldn't go in the back to check for eggs. Also all the handicapped carts had plastic bags on them which means they're out of service. I think they just mark them out of service to prevent the kids from riding them though. Overall. This location and laurel has got to be the two lowest class and worst locations on the planet. read more

i went there today and went to the auto center letting them my car has a flat tire and is unsafe to drive and i had triple a drop it off there because i live in columbia and this location had the earliest appointment available i go in and inform the 2 women at the desk and they said i could not leave it there....but i had called 8x and not once did anyone answer and i let them know that and they wanted to give me a look like i was saying something stupid and attitude....i would've understood if they had spoke to me with a nicely...worst walmart i've ever been to read more

Pluses for Walmart include it being a one-stop shop and having the best prices for a person whose student loan payment is more than their rent (ahem). I can get anything from tires, a lawn mower, a dress, or some broccoli, all in the same place and at a fairly low cost. And in all fairness, the employees I interact with seem to be nice, decent folk. However, everyone and their MOM goes to Walmart, so it's always packed no matter what time you go there. And not to say that's Walmart's fault, though I guess it is when you consider how they shortchange their employees on pay to cut costs on product pricing, BUT if the store is packed, OPEN MORE REGISTERS! Virtually every time I'm in the store, there are lines from just 3 open registers far into the departments. They need to use their resources, employees, more wisely. This location has a dingy feel to it, though it's not outright dirty. It's just like the whole place could use a power washing. Finally, when I do find a product there I like, I'm able to buy it maybe 2-3 times before it disappears! Not sure if they've discontinued carrying it or if everyone else likes that VERY SPECIFIC product too, but it's frustrating to field that place for one thing that turns out not to be there. I feel like there's no getting around having to go to Walmart from time to time, but I seriously try to limit trips there. read more

This is the absolute WORST Walmart that I have ever been to. No self checkout, the lines are crazy, only a few checkout lines open, but no shortage of employees on a smoke break (I counted 8), or employees just hanging out talking. When I went the Customer Service Department was closed, which was crazy because the store was still open. So when I asked for a manager I was given attitude, like it was a hassle to use the walkie-talkie to call him. But more maybe it was because they knew how useless he was, how rude he would be, and how pointless it all was.. I've tried this Walmart twice in the past 18 months, both times were absolutely horrible... the odds of that happening are more slim than not, so I'd hate to think about how often this sort of stuff happens, or maybe if it's just the norm. Stay away, take the trip to Catonsville or one of the Glen Burnie Locations.. much better. read more

This is the worst Walmart in the Baltimore area...a lot of the employees do not want to help customers, the customer service is horrible....they close different sections before the closing time....the argue with each other and customers in the aisles and the middle of the store...and the delivery service is ridiculous...you order something in the earlier am....and it arrives at the place of residence in the late pm and with things a LOT if things missing from your order.. Then you have to argue with customer service to get a refund for the missing items if they give you one. I will never shop there again...and strongly thinking about starting a petition with all my Veteran brothers and sister s along with my co-workers with my federal government job.. to completely boycott the store and other Walmarts that treat there customers in this manner.....TARGET and any other grocery stores here I come. I tried calling the store today 3 different times and the phone rang for about 5 to 6 minutes before it hang up on me. I don't know who is at the customer service desk but they can at least answer and say "Hello can you hold for a minute" then when they get a free minute answer the hold. Standing in line for half an hour, or more, is the norm. No one seems to know who the actual manager is, so the only way to complain is online. I stopped going into Walmart because the lines are crazy long with not many registers open. This is always been the case even before Covid. I started doing online pick up due to me having a health condition and Covid. In the past two months they have canceled five different times that I ordered. Came here only to pickup an item that was ordered on the Walmart website. It took less than a week from ordering to receiving an email that it was ready for pickup. Upon arriving at the store and going to the pickup desk located in the back of the store, there was an electronic kiosk which allows you to "check in" to start the process of retrieving your purchase via inputting your name, email address or using the barcode reader on the kiosk to read your order barcode via a smartphone or printed email document. Once that was completed, there was another screen which showed my name and the status of the order retrieval process, which took less than 10 minutes. I was impressed, but would really be impressed if this process is this simple and efficient during the holiday season, but I don't think I would try it to find out. read more
