Went in to buy razors. This Walmart has all their razors locked up, which I get. Whatever. Y'all have high theft and need to do that. I understand. However, no one was around to unlock them. I walked around and found a woman to help me, and asked her if she could unlock the razors. She said no, but she would find the woman who could. Ok - I will wait. She didn't return to the section I was in, but instead yelled out to me from two aisles away: "there's no one with a key. The woman who works there is gone. Maybe at lunch - I don't know". I asked "can a manager help me?". "No - no manager". So basically they could not sell me the product I came to buy, even though they had it right there, in stock. I try may hardest not to visit this walmart location. But everytime I visit the lines are flowing back into the merchandise and usually customer have to stand waiting for about 30 mins or more. As embarrassed as I am to be writing a review for a Super Walmart, the experience I had was so painfully disappointing that I must share with you all. We needed to pick up a GoPro charger one morning so I called ahead of time to make sure that they had it. No one picked up in any department, including the operator. When we got to the store, the shelves looked as though they'd be robbed the night before. We then asked the Electronics employee where the GoPro chargers were, and she looked at us as if she'd never heard of such a thing. Finally, after many unsuccessful attempts to get assistance from an employee or get someone on the phone, we were able to find a makeshift, off-brand charger, since they had absolutely no GoPro gear. For covering a full square mile of land, this "Super" Walmart's selection is disappointing to say the least. You will basically have run a 5k by the time you check out, assuming they even had what you were looking for. read more

This Walmart has everything you need and more but there are so many issues starting with the customer service counter. I had the misfortune of having to return some items because they were already opened and I didn't trust to consume anything ( and this happens ALOT!) check your items before purchasing because I just found 3 more things on my recent purchase tht I am going to have to return because they were previously opened as well. ‍ well while I was standing waiting for OVER 30 minutes to return items ( not because the line was long because it wasn't! There was only 2 people ahead of me and they were both at the counter being served!!!) it was because they were sauntering not caring about those who are waiting and they were having conversations among themselves ranging from yelling across the room to whoever went on lunch to what someone is paying for rent and when someone's lunch break is. All of us standing in line were getting pretty irritated to say the least. This is a place of business and business shall ensue. I am a pretty understanding person but I really find it extremely rude and unacceptable that I have to be at the mercy of those who have no regard for anyone else's time and cause those of us who didn't come to stand around having to wait while the employees decide to take the time that they are being paid to work to stand around acting like our time isn't valuable. Walmart is paying these people to basically socialize. When I finally got to the front of the VERY SHORT line, the customer service rep totally ignored me as I was talking to her and walked away to find out when her break would be!!!! UNBELIEVABLE! I was going to just ignore that it took me 40 minutes to return a few things and not write a review but I feel compelled to after every time that I visit this Walmart the people ( most of them) won't even speak to you or greet you at the register and I'm a very nice person and it is pretty insulting when I get to a register and I say " Hello how are you today?" And the cashier just ignores me!! Even today, Saturday July 13, 2019 at 10:45 I again greet the cashier since she didn't greet me and she just rolled her eyes and ignored me and then told the girl behind me to close her register coz she's the last customer!!! She didn't even help me get my bags from the carousel she wouldn't turn them I had to walk behind her at her register and get the rest of my things. Didn't say have a nice day or anything. I almost felt like she hated me and hated being there and it really made me feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable! I am NOT a needy person or complain much and generally a pretty easy going happy person but I don't think I will be coming back to this Walmart again. It's just not a welcoming place and the people here have no regards for anyone and it seems like customers who come in are a bother and they would rather use their time at work to socialize. At the beginning of spring time I spent approximately $200 on garden soil and potting soil only to have all of my plants die and this is unusual for me because everyone always complements me every year on my garden and how amazing it looks and how large my vegetables grow to be I have an extraordinarily amazing green thumb so To have my plants die made me grow very concerned so I reached out to miracle grow only to find out that all of the money that I spent at Walmart on my soil they sold me last years stock and grew mold rather quickly and killed my plants! Every single one of them!!! I spent another $300 on plants from both Walmart and Home Depot that was $500 at least that I have lost due to Walmarts blatantly selling me last year's products which was probably sitting in a warehouse collecting mold all year.!!!! Miracle grow could only give me back $50 of what I spent and told me to contact Wallmart and see if they will refund me the rest if not all of the money that I had Spence due to their neglect But after having to deal with many reps at this Walmart I've decided if I'm going to do that I'm just going to call corporate because there's people here are just rude arrogant and Unprofessional. I have been going for Pick up for couple times , Last time I was there on 5/27/20 I went pick up around 7pm . There were items that has been substituted and I told to the associate to make sure that I have rejected those. After loading the items the associate left so I have checked my app and those items that were rejected still showing accepted. I came back and mentioned about the issue and the associate brought some teenager who suppost be a manager , she said it will take couple of days to be reflected on the refund status. After couple days I opened my app and there were no refunds. So I had to call the customer service and it was taken care . read more

Unfortunately this is one of the closest Walmart's to my home. I hate everything about it. It's always crowded. Long lines wrapped around the store. Only 3-4 registers open at a time. No self-checkout lanes. Loose carts galore and potholes in the parking lot. There's no such thing as a perfect Walmart, but this one is bottom of the barrel. Avoid at all costs. I'd rather drive a few extra miles to their Glen Burnie location. read more

When I hear Walmart I think cost effective. I think of a place I want to visit during the off peak hours to avoid lines and I have a list of things I need. My Walmart trip's usually tend to be pretty efficient. This Walmart doesn't break that mold from what I'd expect. It is slightly more disorganized that some of the "nicer" Walmart's but not by leaps and bounds. I'm usually able to find whatever I'm looking for when it comes to groceries, everything else is hit or miss. One interesting story is about the time I had to buy a couple batteries for my car keys. The lady behind the jewelry looked at the price (around five bucks per battery) and asked me if I was sure I wanted to spend that much on batteries.....?!?!?!?!? I mean, I'd like to start my car so....yeah. The produce does seem pretty fresh compared to some other Walmart's I've been to and they do have a large hot foods bar. I've never had an issues with any of the food I've bought from here. The service has never been bad and on occasion is pretty good. I've never had any problems with other customers but I also have the luxury of visiting during off peak hours. All in all, it's a Walmart. It's not the worst I've been too and not the best. Get in and get out, the longer you dwell the stranger things will end up for you. read more

I changed my mind about this place somewhat. I've been here 3 or 4 times now and even though the lines are long, the grocery items can't be beat. It has supersizes of fruit and veg mixes and has ample selection of the stuff my kid eats (luncheables, pizza bites) and the stuff I eat (greek yogurt) at great prices. It even has bougie brands like zbars and gogo squez (in the large size too) and dave's killer bread that rival any whole foods. All this stuff under one roof! My kid loves picking out his own stuff like it's guy's grocery games. The sucky part(s) is the pharmacy and the grocery sections are at opp ends of the the store so it is literally a hike to get mouthwash or detangler once you've done your grocery shopping. Did I or others mention the lines are LONG? (THE LINES ARE LONG) even though there are 20 items or less lanes and people have lots and lots of stuff. I pity the ppl in line next to me/us who only have 3 things that have to stand in line with the rest of us. read more

This review is on grocery delivery service at the Arbutus walmart supercenter in Baltimore MD on commerce drive. The first thing you have to understand is although the on line ordering is seamless and they take your money just as easily, once you pay they have your food. What's wrong with that? Because they don't deliver the food. A third party does like doordash. In my case the reserve time for delivery was yesterday, Sat the 4th of March 2023. The hour window came and went. No food. I talked to an agent, but they are not agents, they are AI bots that say they are agents because they have names, but they are clunky poorly designed bots. The bot said to give the store until 8PM this was a 153.00 Order. We waited till 10PM no delivery. The order status said "on the way." But it never came. Today, Sunday, the order status was changed to "delayed" wow that's an understatement. But no email, no call, no nothing all day. The help on Delivery says they are supposed to give you a reschedule date and if you don't like the date then they cancel the order. The problem with that is 1) you have to wait for the store to reschedule and until they try to do so you are not able to cancel. YOU can't cancel until they contact you with a new delivery time. Also you can't initiate the rescheduling, its all up to the store. All day I checked the order status and it was "delayed" So I had a customer service rep. A real person call me from one of their call centers somewhere in the world. She told me the reason I didn't get the delivery is because the Doordash driver cancelled and they could n't get another driver. Instead of telling me or you they let you hang. After all they have their money. I asked her to cancel the order, and she said she would, but what she really did was put in a request to cancel. Until the store acts on the request, you will not have a cancelled order and you won't get your money back. The last time this happened to me it took a week to have the cancellation processed. Prior to these two disasters I was a pick up customer for almost 3 years and never had an issue. Update: IT is now MOnday morning. My order is still showing "delayed check back for updates". My call to the call center in gkw where I asked the order to be cancelled has had no effect. Update: Got a call out of the blue Monday afternoon3/06/2023 saying the order would be delivered by 4PM. It was delivered with errors that resulted in a credit to my account today Tues, March 7th. I think its important to note that this resolution is solely due to the tireless efforts of Walmart Corporate. I can't name names but suffice it to say they operated with authority and the store complied. As a former manager I see a host of problems at this Walmart. They are well documented by other reviewers on this and other sites. I can't imagine how this store got to the state that it is in. I wouldn't know where to start. But it would not be firing. I think a blind internal audit would have to be conducted. Probably over the course of at least 6 months. Hard to say. I was considering dropping Walmart and going to perhaps Aldi's. Now that the issues have been rather quickly resolved, not to forget they shouldn't have happened in the first place, I am inclined to continue with Walmart. But I will probably just shop myself and brave the long lines. In the long run its less trouble. Tip for consumers: IF you want Walmart's competitive prices its best to shop there yourself. For some reason the pick up service has degraded and the delivery service depends on whether they can get a driver that wants to do the delivery. I usually drive over 30 mins. to avoid this location, this time I was too tired. Parking lot is shifty as hell, I mean legit hand to hand drug buys and everything. Customers are pretty yucky and the lines are usually crazy long cause they never have enough cashiers. Speaking of cashiers... I have had a few good ones, but most of them are HORRIBLE! If only I had a dollar for everytime I heard them say "You my last customer" and expect you to tell everybody who tries to get behind you that the line is closed. This time the lines weren't that bad. I took that as a good sign and since I only needed a few things, I figured it would be OK. I thought I was seeing things when I saw a line with just 1 person in it. Sure, the light was blinking so they probably needed a price check. That was probably why it was so short, but I was willing to take my chances. The cashier glanced up and saw me walking up as she was ringing out the customer. She hit the switch so it would stop blinking as he walked away, then hit it again. Just like that, she turned off the light, looked at me again and said "I'm closed" and sashayed off. This has to be one of the most interesting Walmart Supercenter locations that I have visited. Majority of the Walmart employees are fairly young and full of energy. The morale appears to be high among the Walmart employees, as I witnessed them often conversing and joking with one another. The customer service among the Walmart employees is average. I was approached in the electronics section by an employee, who offered his assistance regarding the possible purchase of a HD television. It's rare to find an employee to approach a customer without requested help. I was happy about that. On the downside, the Walmart employee was easily distracted when he overheard his fellow co-workers talk about various dog breeds. I sought out an Assistant Manager to assist me in obtaining an electric toothbrush. I was informed that there was only one Walmart employee that could assist me, because they had the keys to open the cabinet that held the electric toothbrushes. The Walmart employee was also working as a cashier in the 'Health & Beauty' section. I had to wait fifteen minutes for a Walmart employee to open a cabinet that contained electric toothbrushes. Later that evening, my friend identified a discrepancy with her receipt once we got home. She was charged twice for an electric toothbrush. I will have to have some patience adjusting to the Walmart employees at this location. read more

So the other night I'm waiting in the express lane, about 10 people deep. Ten minutes later, the line still hasn't moved. Being curious, I observe the problem at the cash register. It appears that someone with a cart full of groceries decided to use the express lane because she was going to break her cart up into SEVERAL different purchases! She pulled out cash for a few transactions, credit card for a few and food stamps for others. So I usually blame Walmart for the long lines at this location and yes, the cashier should have seen the loaded cart and pointed her to an appropriate line, but the some shoppers are idiots too. Walmart, you know it takes time to check out with food stamps and with a store located just outside the city, you know you're going to constantly have this. Make a separate check out lane for these folks please and keep your lines moving! I'm not saying this putting anyone down, I'm saying this transaction takes extra time. I came in to purchase paint, for the second time. On the first visit there was no one around until I finally saw someone who was a co-manager help me. Not sure what co-manager means but after walking around for several minutes he was able to get the paint shaken for me. On the second visit different day, there was no one around again, not even these co-managers I saw walking around the store the last time. Clearly that was a day that managers come out their office to make a visit tot he store. I had to walk down to the tire area and ask if there was someone who could help in the paint area. I have been in this store before to purchase other things and find it to be lacking in many things. There isn't anyone around to help customers - not sure where they all go and why there isn't anyone on the floor. Unfortunately this is the only Walmart within the short distance I need to travel to get my project done. I only go to this Walmart because of the location. It is the closest to where I live. Prices of grocery items are better than most (Giant, Shoppers, etc) and it carries a lot of stuff from food to electronics to clothing to pet supplies, blah blah. However, everything else about it is horrible. Staff members are not accommodating. Cashiers always complain about how the lines are long right before their break or right before the store closes. Duh?! If everyone of them works then the lines won't be that long. One cashier we had in the 20 items or less tried to shoo my husband and I away and said that she only takes 20 items or less so we went ahead and sat down our items right in front of her and counted them one by one. 18. We had 18 items. How hard is it to ring up customers? We are gonna pay. I just wanna throw my money at her. Gosh. All staff members work so slow and do not put any effort in helping customers. The store is messy. There are random items and trash in random places throughout the store. There is paint sprayed all over the floor in the paint aisle. Boxes and packages of products are open and parts of some products are missing. No one usually is in the photo area and/or no one knows or is willing to help there. Same with the paint area. The cashiers in the auto area seem to purposely move so slow. The pharmacy people also take forever. Nobody ever answers their phone. The restrooms are so nasty. Lots of employees just chitchat with each other. They complain about their work right in front of customers. They like to shout and make a scene (but sometimes are just playing around). If they don't like working there they better quit their job and find another place to work at! I wonder what they tell the managers during their interviews before they got hired. Some customers are equally rude. Some (not all) act like they're not in a public place. They like to play around, curse, shout, and argue. Some smell like weed and don't act normal anymore. There are others who let their entire family and group of friends cut in line when they know the lines are too long already. They pretend they don't see you or they ignore you and then after they have been rung up by the cashier they be like, "Oh you're in line? I didn't know." Seriously? I feel sorry for those normal people who are just trying to buy stuff and leave. Employees and some customers are just so annoying! Shopping here is always a horrible experience! This property on Washington Blvd where the walmart is located is managed by David s Brown enterprises ltd. Theres is about 10000 parking spots but the new property manager name Phil said it's no longer allowed to park and even have lunch in your car. Meanwhile theres no time limitations on parking and I'm a tenant on one of the businesses. This dude definitely sounded like he hasn't gotten laid for a long time and is a straight up male Karen. I told him where to go and then I had my lawyer have a nice talk with corporate. He got quite real quick. Me and my wife went to Walmart to pick up a order for a event. As we were waiting my wife sent me to get some cup for the event. When I return my wife informed me that the employees totally ignored her and started helping other customers that got there after us. So being the good husband that I I'm I intervened to find out why my wife had not been waited on yet. I informed the employee that we were there to pick up a order. The commented that we had a long name. So by this time I was upset and ready to go. In the long I will not be visiting this super Walmart again because of the way they treat their customers. Most walmarts are pretty rough, right? Still this one could do better on a few fronts: 1) refill shelves when they're empty (@ 3 pm freezers & fridges looked like they were ransacked) 2) when you reorganize the mess customers leave behind, put like items together & actually stack the merchandise in an orderly fashion. I spent 10 minutes looking for size small socks, then gave up & walked away. 3) make sure you have carts for your customers to use (to be fair it was snowing outside) 4) bagging was just a painful process to watch. Raw chicken & decorative towels went into the same bag. I think they have a new policy to use less bags. Yay for environment! But totally bad news for the Santa towels. The good: 1) no long lines for cashiers 2) most items had price tags or were near a price sticker. 3) the supermarket section is key. It makes the always treacherous trip to walmart a little more worthwhile. 4) huge parking lot I suggest you try visiting on a weekday in the am.
