My bf and I stopped by for some quick groceries to BBQ. We didn't go to Target because the last time we went they were out of Modelos so we decided to try Walmart this time. It was supposed to be a really quick in and out. He got himself his 6 pack of Modelos and I got a the groceries and a juice for myself we waited 10 min in line for the (20 items or less) to be checkout out, when we got to the register he showed the lady his I.D.. then I got asked for mine as well just for being with him. I am EIGHT months pregnant and they asked me for my I.D too. We asked her is she was aware of my watermelon size belly like why would I even dare to drink ? And she said she still couldn't sell it to us it was "Store Policy". I know she didn't make that rule and it's her job she needs to follow it so we didn't make a big deal we just left everything and went to another store. This Walmart is the only Walmart and only store I know with that stupid policy. read more

The place is big yes. But SUCKS! It dont always have everything in stock. And the people who work there act like they hate it and are rude to us. Im over the super walmart. I would rather go to Merced or Target! And when you call the store is no better. No one picks up their department or pick up and hang up! REALLY!!!!! Hate the store! read more

Two bad experiences in a row. I spent 30 minutes waiting for assistance in sporting goods after asking two associates for assistance. Finally went to another store and got immediate service (Big 5). Tried to take a toy back purchased on line from walmart.com as instructions stated on the web site. The manager who assisted me was not sure how to ring it up so he requested assistance from another employee. They told me the SKU number was not in the system and they could not take it back. I had the invoice/receipt with me from walmart.com and it had been purchased less than two weeks before. This was again after waiting in a line for more than 30 minutes. I will never shop at walmart again, on line or in the store. If I could give less than one star, I would. read more

It was 11:30pm and Walmart doesn't close until 12. Before buying some quick items that I needed to get, I really needed to use the restroom. A man who looked like he worked there made his way to the men's restroom and I followed close behind to make my way into the Women's restroom. When I go in, a cart of cleaning supplies were blocking the entrance to the ladies restroom. I politely try to move the cart to the side and ask to use the restroom. Again, as politely as I can because I understand that they are almost about to close. The lady cleaning the restrooms rudely said to me "Excuse me. It's closed. I'm already mopping." And so I simply turn around and head back into the store to collect the items I needed. I was having a horrible day as it was, so having that said to me just made me sad. I go and get my items. And some of my items (like makeup) were locked in glass. I actually felt bad because I had an associate open a few glass containers for me. Nonetheless, I made sure to thank her and have a smile on my face. When all the glass items were collected I was ready to pay. So she said that she would take me to the register as she carried all the items but she was hostile with me. I get to the register and she hands the items to the cashier for me. I thank her one last time and she gives me a very dry "your welcome." So I go pay. And the cashier isn't much nicer. In fact, she completely ignored me up to the point of handing me my receipt. She hands me my receipt not saying a single word to me nor looking at me. She's already tending to the next customer barely giving me anytime at all to collect my things or get the receipt. Nonetheless, I thank her too. At least the man at the door who was scanning the receipts was somewhat nice. At that point though, I was visibly upset and just wanted to get out of there. You never know what someone is going through, so it doesn't kill to be a little nice. Also, it would be magnificent if they held off on cleaning the bathrooms until after close. I get it, I work at a fast food place. I close very often. You want things to get done so that you can go home sooner. But we never clean the bathroom until after we close. We're reminded that costumers come first. Unfortunately, that's not the idea with these 3 workers that I encountered. read more

I would give it a minus one if I could. I went to buy a bicycle inner tube and hit the button. After finding an employee named ROB, he went to open the case with all the bicycle parts in it. He seemed irritated that I even called on him to help. He said, "Is that it!? I didn't know what he meant by that so I said, " What do you mean?" he raised his voice and yelled, "Are you done shopping!?" I said, yes, well maybe get me some patches. Personally I felt attacked by his behavior. Figures, he's a stocky, bald white guy with tatoos. Walmart has really lowered it's standards when it comes to hiring it's employess. Hey walmart, how about you train your employees to be nice to customers. THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT! The hell happened to that!! If I see ROB again working there I won't be so nice the second time around. My money is going to pay for his salary. I'm the customer here and every other customer deserves to be treated with respect!! read more

Service help is not good, very UNPROFESSIONAL, rude, sarcastic and LAZY. Been a Walmart customer for years and this store and the Merced store are awful. I can't believe Walmart would find this acceptable. I would rather pay a bit more money and have good service. Target here we come. read more

Store has new management team that care about their customers and more importantly keeping shelfs full. I highly recommend shopping here!!!

Not tht I didn't already hate going into Walmart but sitting at the sporting goods section for 20 minutes after two pages on the intercom isn't the business. I may never come back here. read more

Love the super center, it's big, clean, and has the cheapest prices in town. Love the new savings catcher app too. Lines are not long like other walmarts. I always shop here first for a good deal. read more

Maurya in the Photo Lab is Amazing. She goes out of her way to help out guests. She goes waaay above and beyond helping her customers have great experiences. This lady is incredible. I recently visited the photo lab in Atwater and I made a horrible mistake. Maurya went out of her way to illeviate a stressful situation and completely turn the situation around. Their are few times that I actually take time to write something. I have to say that John from Wal-Mart the assistant manager is absolutely a awesome human being !! Every time I shop at Wal-Mart he is the always ready with a genuine smile.I have seen him be tested by difficult customers and still he handles horrible people with ease and smile. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE BUYING BABY FORMULA.i could not believe the customer service. there were 3 families and myself waiting to obtain baby formula for our children. i had approached a female employee nearest to the baby isle , she had her walmart attire on-so i asked "is there any way you or another employee open the formula lock? myself and a few other mothers have been waiting and no one has come" and right in front of me she takes off her vest and says "sorry. I'm not working. go to checkout 8". so i went to get more help, when the formula i needed was not available, went to electronics, they paged someone to open the formula locks for me and the other mothers. i had gone back and checked my watch...it was about 12:06pm. There were cameras monitoring the isle so i assumed someone would've seen all of us...one family left upset, another was waiting asking if anyone was coming- we waited together. then another mom approaches and waits with us. after about 15 minutes, no one came, however i watched the main walkways and there were employees standing looking around rather than asking if we needed assistance, smiling at all of us in the isle or completely ignoring the families waiting...i called the service desk and demanded they send someone to help, people have children to feed. some children can't handle other formulas they didn't have in the locked cases. this occurred on July 14, 2018 around 12pm in the Baby department. read more

grocery baskets everywhere !! two day,s i went there in a row same thing . tried to park 5 times today baskets are in bunches everywhere , overcharged me on case of pepsi it was on sale for 5 bucks in six packs charged me $ 1.50 a six plus crv showed him immediately after getting receipt ( the sign was right behind him ) i had to go freaking wait in line at customer service because there not allowed to correct the matter at the checkstand,s they fixed it after 30 minutes now i had melted ice cream dripping everywhere !! all the cashiers are screaming for managers from the fron to customer service and they dont show up this place went all the way to hell fast !! read more

It is very clean. People that work there seem eager to help. Checkout is fast and easy. Seems well stocked except for the meat department which always seems a little sparse on meat. I'd like to see more variety in meat. I tried to get pot roast there on two separate occasions and they didn't have any out.. however I think this is a nice Walmart with lots of variety in products. bad experience few minutes ago at walmart Atwater (customer service dept.) ordered diapers on sale online and it says ready for pick up,when i came a lady told me instead of 12 they only have 6,i said ok then it shouldnt be like that bec when u say order is ready that means ALL of ur orders are ready,i ask asst. manger JHON and he said oh well its clearance its a one day sale and we just run out,i was still saying somethig and he turned his back SO RUDE and kept saying if its oos theres nothing he can do.and he said oh anyway you will always gwt your money back..so rude!!.ok i got it,i accepted it,but when the lady gave me a receipt,the receipt says i picked up 12..and i was liked this is wrong so came back and ask another NICE lady saying is this recwipt rigt and she helped me she said for some reason it says on my receipt i picked up 12 instead of 6..so lady helped me first LIED! she process my refund and lady next to me on line picked up the exact same thig i ordered..she has more than 10boxes of those diapers that they said where out of stock..and i was like..what was that..your asst managwr just said even when we check the backroom theres none and you wull sew a bunch of the same exact item you ordered...it doesnt make sense meaning asst manager,another staff are all lying!! the nice lady said oh maybe its first come first serve and i was like if that was the case we shouldnt be trusting walmart on our orders bec if it says ready for pick up it means 100% that it might NOT ready..so walmart pick up is USELESS!!! shout out to you Mr. Asst manager and thw lady that told me that even my receipt said i picked up 12 it will automatically refund on my credit card!
