You have to love Price Tag, I've been going to Price tag since the late '90s. I used to go to their…read moreold location before they moved and I've been a loyal customer for a very long time. Price tag is part of a trio of stores that sells off price boutique closeouts. The other two are Barney's bargain stores in Hillside and Bloomfield. They didn't call the Bayonne location Barney's because there was already another store called Barney's up on Avenue C. That store closed many years ago. Price tag and the other two locations have a rotating series of stock. Some weeks they have women's, some week they have men's, and sometimes they have Children's. You can get very expensive shoes and clothing at a discount.$200 SAS shoes? You can get them for $50 or less. They have lots of different brands and things change all the time. Sometimes, though, they get things that don't move very quickly. Today I saw some hilarious socks that were for New years 2000. Call them New vintage, I'm sure someone will pick them up. You can always count on Price tag when you need an evening bag, shoes, or a wallet. They tend to get a lot of those items. They are only open Thursday through Sunday. Some of the people who work there seem very disinterested, but the two Natalies who work on Sunday are the nicest. Check it out, you never know what you will find.

The views on the other hand are wonderful. The EO logo frames the view of NYC so beautifully. Nice to take a seat and enjoy a sunny day. Found a cute shirt and a nice dress for travel in the sale section at Banana Republic. Got some bathing suits at a store that was going out of business. After shopping, pay your respects at the Staten Island September 11th Memorial. Postcards honors and remembers the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks and the 1993 World Trade Center bombings. Look through the wings of the giant sculpture. It frames Ground Zero. Never forget.

I came looking for decorative pillows. They had 3 or 4 aisles for pillows, including one aisle dedicated to seasonal shopping (it was January so they had Valentine's Day themed options). I found some pillows that worked for me, but would have appreciated slightly more to choose from. For most of the pillows, they only had 2 of each, so if you wanted to buy 3 or 4 of the same pillow, you were out of luck. Generally though, the aisles were clean and orderly. Checkout was fast and the cashier was friendly. For the bargain hunters, this store will get the job done.

The store itself isn't very big but it has all the essential items. There are some self check out machines so the line took less than 5 minutes.
