Every time I looked through a shelf, I seen something new. There were a lot of different genres, however I don't think they were organized very well. It was also difficult to walk through the store as everything was pretty tightly packed in. The lady who checked me out was very kind. We had a brief discussion about the interview I was waiting to attend. She told me to remember to just keep breathing, which I appreciated greatly. Besides that interaction, no one else in the store talked to or approached me. It would have been nice to be welcomed in. Altogether, though, a very sweet shop ! With a ton of variety.

It's mostly boho and shabby-chic-style clothes in flowery patterns, flowy eyelet blouses, embroidered denim and lots of pastels, which is not my thing at all, but maybe it's yours? If it is, then you're in luck! This place has all of that and then some. Downstairs, there are lots of little gifts, knickknacks, trinkets and stocking-stuffer-type things. Sunglasses, lip gloss, funky earrings, bath bombs, journals and pens, books, home goods and lots more. There are also some Bible devotionals and signs with Bible scripture on them. I think Mulberry Cottage leans Christian, and what made me even more convinced of this is the music playing throughout the store (Christian music). This store also likes its signs: There are chalkboard signs with phrases like "Home is where family gathers" and "Bless our home" and other such anodyne phrases. This boutique is very colorful and cute, though. As soon as you step inside, you feel like you're in a special place, and I immediately wanted to take photos. However, this makes me feel like you would get a good deal on your items if you had something to sell her though. If you like vintage, it's worth a stop in. If you're wanting to sell anything vintage, she take anything early 1990s and before, including sports and military. So clean out your/your parents closets and head on over.

We were wandering around Fountain Square and came upon this irresistible window and had to go in and check it out. I am so glad that I did. Like most Vintage shops there isn't much the bigger woman but the clothing accessories are such a treat to look at and enjoy. Places like this make me want to put on a play set in the past and go to town in this shop outfitting everyone. The clerk was very welcoming and knowledgeable. The displays in the store were very cool as well. We will definitely be back.

I visited Cherry Canary around Halloween season, and there were a lot of people stopping by to look for pieces for their costumes. I can see why -- much of their clothing would make excellent costumes. But I don't see why you couldn't wear a wool sailor suit any other time of the year. You just need some chutzpah. Like a good vintage store, the clothing racks are jam-packed with clothes, so it's a little overwhelming to go through everything. But that's a good thing -- it just means they have a lot of stuff and a big selection. Everything is displayed tastefully, and they have a section for men's clothes and one for women's. They have little dressing rooms for you to try on the clothes, too, but be aware that the lighting in the dressing rooms is very dim. They also have a little corner for knickknacks and accoutrements, such as vintage luggage, glassware and planters.

First off, the shop owner here is SO nice and helpful. I mentioned the decade I was shopping for and she pulled quite a few lovely pieces down for me. The merchandise here is in great shape and I feel like I bought so many treasures while I was there. I feel like this shop has something for everyone here. I scored some 1950s dresses, and 1940s dress, and even a 1930s peignoir. The prices vary, with older items usually being priced higher. However, I think the items are worth the price because they are basically one-of-a-kind at this point and are in solid shape.

I had no idea they were located on the west side in the central state "village" we were lucky and got a tour from the director and learned all about the mission, and got to see some different secret projects they are working on. I was impressed by how well they pay their people For there work in all of the hand stitching of each product, their price points make a lot more sense now. You can bring your company there for a day of volunteering to help them prep material so it can be made into different products. Also saw what is left of the Hoosier dome, it takes up such a small corner of the building it's crazy to think how it's been made into so many different products. Wow. Just wow. I had heard of PUP and thought they were similar to USI because I know them for…read moretheir 317 tees and Indianapolis apparel, but they are so much more than that. PUP is focused on turning trash into treasure. They collect refuse from the city and repurpose it into something brand new. They're responsible for the "pup seats" at bus stations around town that are Bush Stadium baseball seats. Way cool! What got me was that they salvaged 13 ACRES of material from the RCA Dome roof...and now they use it to make wallets and messenger bags! SO COOL. They also have old signage from the 2012 Super Bowl that Indy hosted and use it in the bags, as well. PUP gathers volunteers to scrounge around the junkyard every month. For example, they use old seat belts as straps for bags...how creative and smart! PUP has a great mission and is doing really cool things in the city - check 'em out! The studio in Fountain Square is a bit hard to find in the Murphy Arts Building but it's a cool studio vibe. My only complaint is that I wish their products weren't so expensive - i had my eye on a duffel bag but it was $150+ dollars!
