Horrible. I have 2 small kids and grocery shopping is always difficult. What makes it worse is crappy employees that don't care. Your cashier rushed me away basically throwing my groceries at me to get to the next person in line. For one, it was incredibly rude. I'm not slow in line, I'm aware of other people. The dummy forgot to give me 2 bags of groceries but I didn't realize it until we were home. Because kids. This one on Overland is smaller than the one one Fairview and does not carry as many items but it's newer and cleaner FOR SURE. If you are using the grocery app and plan on picking groceries up curbside, then just plan on a 2 hour wait after you get to parking lot. It doesn't matter to them that there was a reserved time, and they sent email saying order was ready for pickup. This is a real disaster with zero management coordination. It all seems great when the order is placed and email says it's ready, but after that it all goes downhill. You've been warned! I went to pick up my online orde(s) many many hours before the deadline and they had canceled my order(s) without notifying me! I was and am livid! The price of of some of the items in the store was 20 while the online price was 10. I spent more than half a day on other websites reading reviews to decide which products to buy because the Walmart website didn't provide any information on the products. Simply canceling my order was rude and inconsiderate and ended up being a huge waste of my time. I never received an apology or an explanation why they did this. Oil center technicians are absolutely incompetent. - I needed an oil change for my pickup. I went to the Meridian location on Overland because it is close to my work and I thought it would be a fairly quick experience. I told the gentleman that came to assist me after a 10 minute wait that I would like all the fluids topped off (the $40 Walmart oil change package.) I gave him my keys and sat down to wait. Almost 90 minutes later, the guy comes and tells me my truck is ready. Keep in mind that out of the 2 vehicles in line, my pickup was first. I paid for the oil change, got my keys and went out to my truck. I hopped in and drove back to work. The next day I started noticing that my truck was handling strangely. The power steering was starting to whine. I thought perhaps some power steering fluid had been spilled and had gotten on the belt. No big deal. I checked the reservoir and it was empty. Now, I know what you might be thinking. "Maybe it was leaking prior to the visit and just didn't get filled." Well to that I would say, I refilled it and have checked it periodically and it is still as full as it was the day it was filled. So I am not sure if the tech drained it to refill it with new fluid and forgot, or what. A week later the transmission starts to stutter and slip. I checked the fluid a week or so before I went in and yes it was probably a quarter quart low. When I checked and filled it afterward it was more than a full quart low. Lastly, I took my 2 year old shopping at the Boise Overland Walmart. ON the way home my truck started overheating. I was able to make it home thankfully since it was a very hot day in July. I let the truck cool and checked the radiator. The antifreeze was completely filled with rust. I am of the understanding that 2 things will cause that. 1. Not flushing the radiator often enough, or 2. Mixing different types of antifreeze (pink vs orange or green) It had been a few year since I had flushed my radiator, but the fact that it was rusty told me that either (A.) The tech didn't check the radiator or (B.) He added the wrong type of antifreeze. So since this oil change I have had to refill my power steering and transmission fluid and I have had to replace my radiator. Whether it is Walmart's fault or not. I certainly didn't get what I paid for. read more

I'm 7 months pregnant and all I need was some E oil and the first two said "try looking in this aisle" and I said I already checked and they said "oh, it should be there" and they walked away. I said can you come show me and he said "it's just around this corner here". And then he left! Whomever the manager was on duty tonight needs to be strongly reconsidered for the position he is in. Not only did he harass me in my vehicle, but he also falsely accused me of things that are what I consider to be mildly funny because of the fact that they can be proven. Typical of me to be late night shopping here as I work second shift and my husband works first shift, so our hours of meeting up tend to be between 11pm-2am hence us grocery shopping at 11pm. Tonight was particularly important because we were gathering food for my elderly parents out in Kuna as well. After dropping $200 on groceries, my husband left toward Kuna to drop off my parents groceries while I chose to stay behind because we didn't need to take two vehicles out there and back and I could pay bills and misc while waiting for him to come back as opposed to just leaving our car alone in the parking lot. First of all, my car was running the whole time as to show I wasn't trying to "squat" in a parking space or anything, I had no music on, just me 35 year old woman minding her business. Yes it's late, but considering we were the second to last people in the line we were in before the midnight closing I wasn't there just hanging out all night without shopping. Less then two hours had gone by, my husband was right down the street getting gas at this point he had drove out past Kuna, checked in on my parents animals, unpacked their groceries, and then headed back into meridian where he was getting gas. The manager had literally came up to my vehicle as I rolled down my window got very ill tempered and verbally attacked me asking me what I was doing. I told him I was waiting for someone that I had just bought groceries, as he quickly lied to my face and told me I had been sitting in the parking lot for 4 HOURS. Of course the parking lot camera as well as my receipt will prove I was there less then 2 but apparently this young gentleman found someone to take his nightly duty anger out on? If I were a man and saw a polite woman had been sitting in her car for awhile and was alone I would be concerned and approached willing to help or offer to help her if she needed it. But no, this man was fired up and ready to show me he was boss. I could not believe it. So I called my husband and met up with him at the gas station. Apparently buying hundreds of dollars here means you can't sit in a parking lot quietly or you'll get harassed and treated like a criminal. Although I'll watch unattended children and teenagers in this parking lot sometimes and yet never see them questioned. Not quite sure what the requirements are for being management but if you hire someone that's a loose cannon for that position like this gentleman you could be in trouble. read more

It will come as no surprise when I write that Wal-Mart has horrible customer service. But I write this to caution against relying on this location's automotive division. There are real material consequences to dealing with the automotive section here. More recently, Wal-Mart sold me a defective battery. This failing battery overheated my alternator and left me stranded along the freeway in Wyoming for three days while my mechanic could find a replacement part. Two mechanics have now tested this Wal-Mart battery and have told me it's junk. Not only did it cost me a new alternator, a new battery, and three nights accommodation in Wyoming, this Wal-Mart location is refusing to honor its warranty on the battery. They consistently claim the battery is fine with a superficial surface test, even though two other mechanics have certified it as garbage with an hour-long test. With Wal-Mart, low prices mean terrible service and sub-standard products. In the future, I'll pay a premium for a high quality battery that won't leave me stranded and won't require me to deal with these poorly trained jokers. read more

They advertise that they use coupons, will accept competitor coupons yet their managers make you feel like you are stealing every time you try to use a coupon or get a price match. My first order for home delivery was completed today. I was happy with the ease of website ordering and delivery was on time--no problems. The issue I have is actually with Walmart Corporate Grocery, whom I contacted after receiving a suspicious email shortly after my delivery. The corporate manager I spoke with was impatient, rude, repeatedly talked over me as I was trying to explain my concern, and refused to provide me with any other corporate and/or legal dept contact when I requested one. I ended the conversation still in doubt regarding the security of my account and not at all reassured my billing information had not been compromised. While very pleased with the service provided by my local Walmart, I regret I will no longer be ordering or shopping from Walmart whatsoever because of this interaction with Walmart Corporate. read more

This store is Ridiculous !!i went Saturday to get a pick up order. I call in the lady says they will be right out. Ok...30 minutes later I get a little confused cause all the old cars have been helped and left and I'm still here. So I call the pick up number again. The lady proceeds to tell me oh it should be right out someone has already accepted the order. Me-Ok thank you. Another 30 minuets goes by ok now I'm irritated. I call a third time l, this time a guy answers and let's me know that no one ever checked in my order and he would be right out and apologized. Ok he did come right out and apologized and very helpful! Sunday. I go back to Walmart to pick up something that was in stock online but only sold in stores. Ok. So I go to the aisle and there's none there so I ask a Walmart employee for help and he tells me he can't help me he is strictly grocery department. So I continue to walk around looking for someone, there is no one so I go up to a register for help and she tells me go to customer service she can't help me ...I wait in line 30 minuets at customer service finally my turn I go up and ask if they can look in back for the item she pulls out her phone looks on her phone and says oh she can't help me cause she doesn't know where to look! Last resort I see a manager so I leave and go talk to her and she radios people and finally gets a Michelle and she states no one has time to look for that item right now. So I wasted another hour at this store! The next day I just went to Fairview and they were helpful! Someone pointed right to the aisle and helped me look for the item and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes! Moral of the story don't go to Overland unless you have time to waste because they don't care about there customers!! read more

*This store is so frustrating. The pharmacy never gets my prescriptions right, and when they say "It'll be 20 minutes." it's usually an hour. Several times, I've had to go back the next day for the rest of my med order, and last time they had filled and then rang up all of the order again. In addition, I'm humiliated every time they say "We're missing your insurance info." and I have to tell them AGAIN that I don't currently have insurance. It's a struggle every time just to fill three simple prescriptions. *Employee assistance? Not here. Only once have I had an associate actually help me when I needed assistance in the store. The other 5 or 6 times I've asked for help getting something or finding something, I have been met with blank stares and "I don't know.". Associates don't seem to have any clue as to what else exists in their store besides in their department, and not even then. *Another complaint is Walmart wide... I am so tired of being "run over" by employees! They don't stop and let the customer go by in the aisles. I used to shop for others, and would often be handling two loaded shopping carts and would have to 'put on the brakes' when an employee would cut me off. *They need to enforce the handicap parking! The striped zones next to a handicap spot are for providing room for people with lifts and wheelchairs. THEY ARE NOT MOTORCYCLE PARKING! Nothing against motorcyclists, as I'm one myself. Let me start by saying that this place does not deserve 2 1/2 stars it deserves one. I came in at 7 o'clock and parked on the side where the pharmacy is. when I approached the door was locked. I was peering into check that I was not mistaken about it's supposed to 24 hour open when to employees saw me limping towards the door because I have a full leg cast on. I know that they saw me because they laughed and then pointed at me to walk to the other side of the store where there was another door for entrance. I was a little bothered but I decided to do so because I did need the thing I went for. The cashier was so sweet that it was almost enough to make me forget about those rude girls at the beginning of my shopping experience. Until I was leaving and there was an entire bag of kale laying on the floor. Two employees who were clearly off the clock looked down and said oh no someone dropped their kale and left it on the floor. So I chose to pick it up and bring it inside. As a general manager myself I would be appalled by the customer service that these employees showed. I will never return to the store because you can clearly see how little the employees, the management, and corporate cares about its customers. read more

I have never conceived I would need to be aware of this in a grocery store, but here's the thing; I shop at Walmart on Overland in Meridian and have since it opened, not because I love to shop at Walmart but because it is what I can afford. Here's what you need to be aware of and check as you shop: ANYTHING that you buy that is reseal-able, you need to check that it hasn't been opened and then put back. The most recent incident was I purchased a package of Oscar Meyer Oven Roasted Turkey Deli Slices, and the package had been opened, some of the turkey slices taken out, the lid put back on the package and placed back in the cooler. This is not in any way the first time I have seen this, but it is the most recent. I don't know what the management and employees do when customers aren't around, but it seems they snack on product and then put the remainder back. This is extremely disturbing because it wouldn't take much more for some extremist to put some sort of poison in the product and reseal it. BEWARE! read more
