Praise report…read more Brunswick, GA I had dental surgery and they gave me written prescriptions. I went to CVS to have them filled and they told me it would be at least 1 and 1/2 hours. I remembered that I had received a mailer for Jets Pharmacy (family owned) that opened at 5408 Golden Isles Parkway (in front of Toyota). They filled them in 10 minutes and thanked me for my business. I have transferred all of my prescriptions.

Exterior Huge shared parking lot (in plaza with Pizza Hut and The Lunch Box. Added bonus, they have a drive thru!!! Interior Pretty barebones but clean and organized. Price / Value Just like Southern Drugs down the street, this reminds me of Healthmart pharmacies in terms of pricing. A lot of these 'mom & pop' pharmacies have amazing prices for self-pay / cash pay patients. And when Walgreen's, Walmart, CVS, Publix and Kroger tell me items are on backordered / can't be ordered, Jet's can typically get the Rx. Customer Service Pharmacist always has a smile or a head nod. Support staff is always willing to help and they make you feel like a cherished family member (asking about your family members, remembering details from past conversations). They never let you leave without thanking you for your business. Other They're closed Sundays and only open a half day on Saturdays, but they have an online refill option. For all you Amazon shoppers, they are the designated UPS pickup location for Darien. No QRC's - printed labeled boxes only. Overall Great little spot that reminds me of my childhood.

1 Star for Jennnifer, in particular…read more I am extremely disappointed with my experience today at Southern Drugs in Darien, particularly with the pharmacist, Jennifer. Today was the second time I have had an unpleasant interaction with Jennifer where I felt argued with, belittled, and treated as though I didn't know what I was doing. My daughter has been through an incredibly difficult couple of weeks. She was hospitalized with a complicated infection and desperately needs to complete her prescribed antibiotic treatment. When I realized that we ran out of her liquid amoxicillin before the prescribed 10-day course was completed, I drove to the pharmacy because there was clearly a problem that needed to be addressed. especially because today begins a 3 day holiday weekend , and they will be closed on Monday. Instead of helping me resolve the issue, Jennifer repeatedly questioned me about how I was administering the medication. She asked me twice whether I was measuring the medication with an actual tablespoon and proceeded to argue with me for several minutes about it. For the record, I was not measuring this medication with a tablespoon. I was using the oral syringe provided by the pharmacy. In fact, I had specifically asked the other pharmacist, Andy, for a syringe because one was not initially provided with the prescription. I understand that pharmacists have a responsibility to make sure medication is being administered correctly, and I have absolutely no problem answering reasonable questions. What I do have a problem with is being spoken to in a condescending and accusatory manner when I am trying to make sure my daughter receives the medication she was prescribed. What made the situation even more upsetting was being told that my daughter would not be able to receive the additional antibiotic until Tuesday, along with being told that Jennifer wasn't sure what she expected her to do--while the conversation continued to focus on what I supposedly had done wrong. I am her mother. I have been at the hospital, dealing with a very sick child, trying to keep up with medications and do everything I possibly can to make sure she gets better. I did not go into the pharmacy looking for an argument. I went there for help. There is a way to ask questions and address a medication discrepancy without making a worried parent feel stupid, irresponsible, or like they are somehow to blame. I left feeling humiliated and completely unsupported. This is especially disappointing because this is the second time I have experienced this type of treatment from Jennifer. Everyone has difficult days, but twice is a pattern that I feel needs to be addressed. I sincerely hope management will look into this because customers, especially parents, dealing with a seriously ill child, deserve to be treated with respect, compassion, and professionalism. I have always believed that a pharmacy should be a place where you can go when you need help and trust that the people behind the counter will work with you to find a solution. Unfortunately, that was not my experience today. Historically speaking, Jennifer has not been the nicest person. However, Mr. Andy has always been very helpful and kind. I hate to rate this Pharmacy a one star, due to the actions of one particular pharmacist. But, it only takes one person to genuinely ruin a place of business. I have been a customer here for almost 10 years. But after today, I'm seriously debating switching pharmacies. Jennifer ... Shame on you.

The staff is super friendly and helpful…read more However, I got a new prescription and it's not correct. It actually makes my vision worse than my previous prescription. I told them about it and they acted like it was my problem. They had the optician check my eyes and she confirmed her previous prescription, which is wrong. After several attempts to get them to change my prescription to one that actually is comfortable for me to wear, and every time them telling me that there's nothing wrong with my glasses, I gave up and had glasses made somewhere else with my old prescription. I'll NEVER have eye exams here again. I'll go somewhere that will believe me when I say my prescription is wrong and will actually fix the issue. It's a dang shame, as the people are so nice otherwise.
