What do I like about Walmart? 1. The pharmacy. We use this pharmacy for most of our prescriptions. The staff has always been courteous and helpful. In general, Walmart has proved to be the easiest pharmacy to have a prescription filled anywhere in the country. 2. Pickup/delivery. I seldom have time for shopping. The Walmart app is great for keeping track of what I need to order. Whether I pick it up or have it delivered, I've had only very minor issues with getting a very large order in a short amount of time. 3. Item consistency. While selection can sometimes be limited, I know what brands Walmart carries and can find those brands at most Walmarts anywhere in the country. 4. Prices. Overall Walmart has low everyday prices on groceries. 5. This store is usually clean and easy to get around. What don't I like about Walmart? 1. Item availability. Just when I find a grocery item I like, they stop carrying it. They're also very limited on overall variety. 2. Self Checkout. I don't mind self checkouts when I have a few items but there needs to be more cashiers for large orders. 3. It's hard to find help when you need it even if you just have a question. If you sign up for Walmart+, you can get free delivery and shipping for $98 a year. If you have AARP, you can save $40 and pay only $58 a year. A good deal if you use either service on a regular basis. read more

this is the worst Walmart I have ever went to. I came here with my kids March 26 at 7:22 AM is when I was checking out I had one cashier stop and asked to look at my receipt. I said it texted it to me so I pulled up the text and the link and showed it to her and she said they're supposed to be a barcode. I don't see the barcode. She called another person over and said I don't have my receipt for my purchase and then called another person over and said I don't have a receipt for my purchase, even though the items were clearly on the receipt that were inside my cart. I spend 1000 minimum a week there through a business at Walmart I will not be doing that anymore. I will be finding a new vendor. I do not suggest going here. read more

I asked them to purchase the mulch - they said no, we only sell flowers. Well then who sells mulch, I asked. Inside the building sells mulch they said. This was an unexpected stop - we were in the area and as we were driving by, I spotted this Walmart Supercenter. A family member had told me about some fishing gear they had picked up at a Walmart, so I decided to pop in and see if this one had the gear. They sure did - there was plenty of stock, it was easy to locate in the outdoors section, and there was even a choice of colors. The cashier who rang us out was very friendly and nice to chat with as she efficiently kept the line moving. There is plentiful parking in the shopping center lot. read more

This Walmart is the worst Walmart I have ever been to in my life. They never have anything on the shelves. Their pick up self shop services never looks for anything, I have several times been told that they didn't have certain items, and then went right in myself and found those exact items their shoppers said they didn't have. No one is ever helpful. And they ALWAYS HAVE A HORRIBLY BACKED UP SELF CHECK OUT LINE. I need to share my most recent experience with my local Walmart so here it goes: In spite of my fairly frequent trips to the Lancaster store I still don't know their full product assortment so I turned to one of their associates for directions. His name is Mason. He was busy stocking shelves but seemed close to being done when I approached him. He quickly finished up and rather than telling me in which aisle the product *ought* to be he accompanied me there and located it for me to be sure. That's what true customer service is about. Pretty much held hostage by the store trying to get the core charge for a car battery return $12 and five different people couldn't give me $12. .40 minutes from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. How dare you treat your customers this way. How dare you think you're going to retain your customers this way? This Walmart is self checkout only. There could be 200 people in the store and they still have only one person running self checkout and no full registers open. This is NOT the vault of the cashiers but leadership/management of store. I am NOT spending $200 on groceries and bag them myself. Darn you, Wal Mart! Like the other Wal Marts in our area, this Wal Mart is completely unorganized. The absolute worst department in this Wal Mart is the photo department. Every member that I have ever dealt with in this photo department seems to be confused about their job. There have been many times that I have stopped by for photo pickup and the team member could not locate my photos. Just recently, I had a couple photo orders placed for Christmas and while Walmart.com chat support states that my orders were delivered, the store states that they are unable to locate my order. This is extremely frustrating when the majority of the photo orders were Christmas gifts. During another past visit, I stood at the photo counter while the team member stood directly in front of me texting on their phone. After a few minutes, another team member came and assisted me while the other team member continued to stare at their phone. Sadly, this review is primarily on the photo department. I will no longer have my photo orders shipped to the store. I will pay the extra cost for shipping just to ensure that my orders are received (Walmart.com has an excellent turnaround time in completing orders and having them shipped to your home) and to avoid this kind of poor service! read more

I base this review upon the 3 Walmarts I have been to in the Central Ohio area. The one in Canal Winchester definitely will keep me going back! Despite the limited staff, those that assisted me were very polite and professional. The store itself was kept clean and had a good selection. For example, the meat section was fully stocked and had good choices for the fresh meats. Considering the other Walmarts I have been to and having seen some of the videos about Walmart online, this one gets 4 stars from me! read more

I went to the Canal Winchester Walmart on a saturday evening. The deli staff was beyond rude. After staff continuing to walk by me I was finally offered assistance reluctantly. I was rewarded for my efforts with some crappy looking colby cheese. What I got was colby cheese crumbles. The person that waited on me was more interested in flirting with her co-worker instead of attending to business. When I checked out that is yet another story. It is 3:35 Sunday Feb 29th. I don't find it appropriate for store associates to be standing at the self check out kiosk on the grocery side to be engaged in a personal discussion a d dropping the F-bomb with no regard to patrons! Absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable! I tried calling it in, but nobody wanted to pick up. I would have spoken to someone personally but needed to be somewhere at a specific time, so getin and get what I needed was the agenda! I think Customer Service training and proper work ethic should be seriously considered. FOR ALL! Store was filthy and items difficult to locate. Walmart Super center are OK. They have big space and nice prices. There is a nice variety of products for any decorating, fashion, or food need one may have. They usually have the best prices on automotive needs. They employ a lot of people. But for such a big place, I give them only 3 stars because I could hardly find one thing that was made in the USA. Almost everything was from China, Indonesia, Mexico, or India. Walmart used to specialize in made in America products. I am sorry, but I would like to support made in America products even if I have to pay a little more. read more

Unbelievable! I just purchased an AC unit from this store only to find out that the unit inside the box was not the same. The box was retapped but I'm not the type of person to open a product in the store. I believe if it's on the shelf it's legit and assumed someone opened it to access the size but I was wrong and I should've opened and inspected it because It had been used and was disgusting. I promptly returned it the store where I was called a liar "we wouldn't put it on the shelf if it had been opened" and wasn't offered any sort of resolution. Is that customer service? Insult the customer first and walk away after you angered them. Don't you have cameras and video that you could've viewed to validate my story? Couldn't you have attempted to help? I don't have the time or desire to fraud anyone and I don't appreciate the way I was treated. I've always shopped here and after this type of disrespect I'm sure I'll drive a longer distance and will pay more from a store with integrity and I encourage you all to do the same. read more

My dad is the only one in our family that loves Walmart so we kinda go here a lot plus I guess it's kinda convenient to buy everything at once. The employees aren't always helpful; some are either rude or don't know anything about the store. The bad thing is if the employee is old or doesn't speak good English are the best at trying to help you o.O They also have a habit of changing everything around; I know things sell by demand but it sucks that they have few items less at this one. Last but not least check-out -.- They only ever have a few lines open and there's always that one person with a million items. Self check-out sucks too since they are always down or messing up as you try and pay; some people like to go over the item limit too. OH I can't leave out the rude customers either cause most people will just stand in your way even if you say excuse me very loud and give you a dirty look as if you offended them, will run you over with a car and/or cart, will get mad if you move slow when checking out even if you have just one item. read more

So it tue classic walmart supercenter. It big and has a lot of stuff from bananas to tires. This location is well maintained and typically always clean. The prices at walmart aren't inexpensive like in the past so be ready to spend the average or sometimes higher price. Now they will have some items where the price is a steal i.e. Kool aid. I mean you cam even get your nails done here including your taxes and lets not forget to plan you vacation as well lol. Zero stars here. Called at 4:55 to see if they were closing at 5 as they have done the past few days and the lady said that they are closing at 830. I arrive to the store at 5:07 and was informed that the store was closed. I would not normally be mad given the reason that they are closing early but when I called ahead of time and was explicitly told that they were staying open I am mad. This is in addition to Walmart not maintaining in stock on many items throughout this entire pandemic that I can get from the Kroger across the street on a daily basis. My identity was stolen from this Walmart location and the Walmart inc. I contacted the supervisor there yesterday and confronted them about the situation, well guess what this store sucks and it's being investigated for allowing fraudulent purchases to go through on stolen financial information. I am extremely livid and outraged that Walmart would allow such incidents like this to occur in their stores. It's highly unprofessional for a cashier to be allowed to let fraudulent charges go through on their cash register without double checking for suspicious activity. We're not for sure, but we think a walmart employee is who stole our financial information, rest assured that this matter is being investigated to the fullest extent of the law, and I will prosecute the store/employee if i find out who stole my identity. read more

I give this Wal Mart a one star for so many reasons. First off is the major renovation they did on the store that was only maybe 8 years old. If they are making that much money to renovate every few years then they are making too much money off the community. This store has pretty horrible customer service. Everytime I go in, I am in a great mood until I get to rhe checkout lane. Once in a great while, I will get a cashier who isn't but it's rare. I thought Walmart prided themselves in "customer service" which has gone down the drain anymore. The store is dirty and there is always lack of help. When I called the other day to reach the Photo Dept. the customer service woman rudely answered the phone and said with an attitude, "thank you for calling walmart how may I direct your call?" She said it in such a way that you would've thought I disturbed her entire day. Then I said "Photo please". She directed my call to photo and it rang and rang and rang. The phone went back to customer service where she repeated the same thing ane forwarded me to photo. It rang some more and went back and forth 5 times to customer service and after realizing I had been too patient with rude people and waited through 15 minutes of ringing, I finally hung up and called Walgreens. Don't shop at canal Winchester Walmart if you use coupons. I shopped there today using a few coupons I printed off at coupon.com and you would have thought I was trying to steal from them. The cashier showed them to her supervisor who had to take them to the store manager for approval while I stand there feeling like I have committed a crime. I spent over $300.00 today at that Walmart. Did they really think I was going to steal a few dollars from them in coupons? I have never stolen in my life and now I feel like a thief. I will never shop in that Walmart again. read more
