Stock carts blocking every aisle. It took me 15 minutes to get out of the cosmetic aisles because of stockers, partially loaded abandoned carts, rude people leaving their carts in the middle of the aisles, people parked in the middle of the aisles on their phones. One couple with 2 carts and little kids walking 1 mph spanned the whole aisle so nobody could get through. All the pass thrus had stock carts blocking them. Why the store can't do all the stocking at night when there are much fewer shoppers I don't understand. Every time I've been there it's a claustrophobic nightmare. And trying to see prices on ground beef? No prices, just scan tags. WTF!? And I won't even get started on finding someone to help. This store has most of what I need, so I go there. The automotive department at the Walmart in Carlsbad, New Mexico is the worst department I have ever had the unfortunate experience of dealing with. They almost never answer their phones, they are rude, and there is always a 3-4 hour wait. Yesterday, I called ahead to see if they had tires in stock, they did. When I drove an hour to get there, WAY before their posted closing time, they informed me that they are closing earlier due to a lack of employees. I will never go to that Wal-Mart Automotive again. I was in town to take care of my elderly father. For safety reasons I decided to go just before closing to reduce exposure to the Rona. Walmart is what we all know what it is. So explanation is needed. My issue is with this particular location and maybe all. The alarming amount of no maskers. Very few shoppers were present but many were not wearing a mask. Of them they had either masks in thier hands or around their neck. Clearly they wore them to get in, but remove them once inside. There was a lot of associates around to see this but nothing was being done. I place blame on walmart. They need to staff or empower employees to take action. Ok. Been here a year and a half now and this shithole of a store has not gotten any better. It's still dirty, they still have broken and damaged products on the shelves they're trying to sell to customer and they completely removed their kosher section (right before Passover!). When we asked, several of the employees didn't know what the word even meant except one--who stated to another, "You know, Jew food." Like, did you just even say that?!? This place is unreal. It's unreal because you wouldn't think a store could stay open being so shitty, but yet it does. No one cares. Do yourself a favor and go to Albertsons. Never in my short 26 years of life have I ever felt as disrespected as I did the one time I went to the Carlsbad Walmart. Being from south west region of texas (Uvalde) customer service is amazingly helpful and respectful in my hometown. First of all there was no carts available in the cart bay so I'm looking around and the only ones I see are being used. I asked the 350 pound man (I'm not going to say door greeter as that may be his title but he was just a gossiping civilian) where I can get a push cart. He turns to me as if I was a disgusting sight between his casual gossip and says "I don't know go find one somewhere" I began to catch his vibe and told him if I had to call ahead and reserve one next time, which he began making rude remarks and I just walked away. read more

The grocery pick-up is always super helpful. Inside this Walmart I haven't seemed to run into any issues. As far as a Walmart goes, they help their customers any way they possibly can. All staff who has ever assisted me at the Grocery pick-up is always kind, helpful, and make sure that they can take care of their customer the best way they can. The employees are also taking safety precautions to abide by government guidelines and regulations during Covid-19. I am thankful to have been able to utilize the grocery pick up service throughout this time especially as it can be very challenging to shop in person at the actual stores with my strong willed 2 year-old toddler so they have really been able to assist me greatly during this time. I always have faith in placing my orders, and if there is ever a mix up, customer service is very proactive in issuing refunds for items that may be missing! It only happen every so often but sometimes I request to reject a substitute but for some reason sometimes employee doesn't reject it properly so I have to call in for that every once in a while, if that process was more smooth would give 5-stars but am happy with the services and goods that this Walmart provides in this town. read more

Had the worst experience today. The front door lady Interrogated me like I was stealing something. Apparently she had wanted my receipt but never asked for. And just made an assumed that I stole something because I had a reusable bag with me. All she had to do was ask for my receipt and I would've given it to her. The worst customer service I have ever experienced at any Walmart, ever. We needed to get a trimmer out of a glass case with a lock on it. My S/O went in earlier in the morning and waited for someone by the case for 45 mins after talking to 3 different people about needing something in the case. He left so we both went in later that day, and as we stood there waiting for someone to show up, countless Walmart employees walked by talking, on their phones, and obviously not doing their jobs. No concern for us. A nice gal came up and shook her head after we explained our situation, and said "honestly I don't think anyone is going to show up." She was just as frustrated as we were. About 30 mins go by and someone shows up with a key saying they had to clock in and apologized. I don't blame the women we talked to, I blame the employees who weren't doing their job. Trash in the isles, bare shelves, Other shelves simply piled with jumbled up merchandise, extremely understaffed and the grocery department was disgusting! Opened packages of meat laying on shelves, half drank bottles of juice in the soup section, packages of cookies open on the shelf. In looking for some packaged lunch meat and cheese, I found 4 packages of lunch meat with mold on them, expired dates. Why is this place still OPEN? OMG!! I just spent three hours trying to get one new tire and putting the front tire onto the back. They had one tire guy. ONE!!
