Of course they are know for bad reviews. It's not surprising since management at most of the locations doesn't do anything to try to fix the problems. I had an order that I placed online that was ready for pick up. They have a designated area for you to park to pick up your item and for them to bring it out to you. I called the phone number multiple times and no one answers. So I decide to go inside to pick up the order. They have towers for you to pick up your order. You just basically scan the bar code in your email confirmation and the information regarding your order should appear. Mine didn't work and there was an employee standing there on his phone. I asked him for help and the first time he just ignored me. The 2nd time, he said he doesn't work in this department. Well then point me in the right direction. So I went to the customer service department and there was an employee that asked if I needed help, and I told him the situation so he said he'll call someone over. 10 minutes later someone finally came over, scanned my bar code and went to get my order. While I was waiting in the pick up order area still, multiple employees made eye contact but no one ever once asked if I needed help or have been helped. The employee probably came back about 20 minutes later with my order. This whole trip, just to pick up an order, probably took about 40 minutes. But then again, even though Walmart is known for good prices, they have the worst customer service. read more

Ive had multiple attitude coming from elderly lady with grey silver hair n glasses at customer service and today was it . Walmart should get their crap together they have always been low class and horrible customer service . I am writing a review based on my (second) experince with my site-to-store purchase. Both times I went to the rear of the store where you pick up and hit the little "call" button. As I write now, 15mins have gone by with nobody at attendance. Or maybe I am just going delerious and it has really been 30 mins and I'm just good at entertaining myself on yelp. Pros: Some of the cheapest prices around. Good selection on pretty much everything except... Cons: MATCHES. Needed them for some new candles my wife and I purchased. Seriously, where are they? Depending on who you ask, you get 3 different answers. Employee near the registers: "Hmm not sure we carry matches. Ask someone in the grocery section." Employee in the grocery section: "Oh we definitely have matches, they're over at Register 14 with the cigarettes." Employee at Register 14: "We do not carry any matches." Frustrating!! Just blown away with this location! I knew that Walmart itself, already has a pretty bad rep, but this is just crazy. No one in the store is very helpful. They are less than friendly. The staff alone is just never in a decent mood. One encounter: I was trying to buy a fishing license one day, and the lady was trying to tell me that they don't sell them when the department is closed. I thought, ok understandable. I asked what time it closed and she said 8pm I think. Well it was about 7:42. 18 minutes till. I could tell that she was the one that would have to open up the department, because she is the one who closed it early. She then argued with me, and then complained that Walmart didn't get her enough of a break, only 15 minutes! I was astounded. Second encounter: I was in the area and decided to go finish some grocery shopping. (Yes I know, I can't believe I went back to this place). My shopping cart was full, and I'm aware that if the shopping cart is too far out, then a magnetic signal with stop the cart from being pushed and stolen. So the cart was completely inoperable about 75 yards out...and I had a shopping cart full of stuff. I was stuck and had to pull my car around to the cart itself, stressing more that someone would steal my groceries...judging by the average customer that shops here. This sounds like just a horrible rant, but literally does not do any of the stories justice in person. read more

When I was at Walmart this afternoon I was purchasing snacks and water for four organizations. Employee Jose was nearby and offered to help me since I was obviously going to need a second cart. He not only helped me find some of the items, but he also pushed one of the carts to the checkout. After helping me at the check out, he then accompanied me to my vehicle. He loaded the heavier items in the back of my vehicle while I loaded the lighter boxed item in the front. He is an outstanding employee who represented Walmart very well with his kindness and helpfulness. read more

The store had become terribly understaffed. It's impossible to find anyone in the store to answer a question or help you find something. The only areas that are staffed are electronic, I think for the fear of theft and security people at the front door. The checkouts aren't much better. Last few times I've been there there has only been one checkout lane open and only one of the two self-serve checkout areas. This, for a huge store with a lot of traffic. And they have cameras at each of the self checkout registers; I find that so offensive because due to their staffing shortage/policies, they make customers check themselves out, and treat us like criminals while they're at it. I went there abt 9:30p one night to avoid the crowds. Starting at 10p they started announcing every 15m that the store was closing at 11p, trying to rush customers to leave. I headed to the front register at abt 10:45p and there was only one staffed register open and one of the two self check out areas. There were like 10 people in line to check out with a cashier, and even more in line to check out in the self-serve lines. A couple of us abandoned our carts/purchases because we would have been there for 45-60 minutes. Last time I was there there were absolutely no carts at the door, so people were forced to go back into the parking lot to find a cart. I mentioned that to the security person inside the door. He said he was aware of it, and that the cart person quit and walked off the job, and the manager refused to call another person to come in and do the job. read more

Arturo, The "customer service manager" was very unhelpful. I came in looking for help getting a copy of a receipt. I had the date, the time, the amount , and the card it was purchased on. I told him it was processed at self check out but because I couldn't tell him exactly which one he said that he couldn't help me because it would take time and he had "things to do" I have things to do to but when I have a customer needing help in front of me I take my time and get them taken care of. This is one of 3 Walmarts that I go to because of it's proximity to my house. There is plenty of parking at this location. The reason I give this location a 2 star is simply that they rarely have what I'm looking for. C is an avid Hot Wheels nut. He watches Hot Wheels video's online and knows when the new cars are coming out etc.... The challenge with this store is that it seems there's an employee who gets to the new cars before they are stocked for sale. Plus, I tend to see more old men EBay'ers scouting through the toys looking for that hot commodity to sell on EBay. The Auto Center is really terrible. They don't care about their customers. They open late, they are understaffed and can take about 30 min to check you in for service as the first customers of the day. The service writer just made excuses for opening late indicating it wasn't her fault, she just needed to flip a switch on the door. Many customers complained but the manager just indicated that they only have 1 service writer and the manager isn't authorized to assist at the desk. Don't bother coming here, you can get better service at a dealer or Pep Boys for the price you pay. read more

I took my kid there because she needed to buy a pair of earphones. She decided on a pair of $20 ones, which were locked onto the display. (hanging, not in the glass case) I saw a worker and got his attention. He was on his way to help another customer. I understand that. I didn't mind waiting. I saw another worker. He didn't have the key to the lock. I asked another worker. He didn't have access either. The fourth worker comes along and grabs the key from under the keyboard at the register. Why did NONE of the workers know where the key was? They weren't rude about it, but they seemed ill informed. It wasn't like the key was in a secret hiding place. Well now one doesn't expect much when coming to Walmart but I was sorely disappointed by today's visit thanks to our checkout person Phoebe, who clearly didn't want to be at work today! She never spoke. Just started ringing up my stuff. I could get over that but when she started throwing my stuff in the bags - literally throwing things - I was done. See attached video. Unfortunately by the time I pulled out my phone to video she was down to just the clothes, but the same force was used with my bread, the boxed goods, and everything else. The shirts you see her throwing in the bag here were nicely folded and now sit a crumpled mess in the bag. I don't know what her problem is but if she didn't want to deal with the public she shouldn't have applied to work in retail. And where the heck is Walmart's management? Do they care? My brother and I went to get a quick bite to eat at the McDonalds here. When we brought the food home he found a long hair in his spicy chicken sandwich definitely won't be coming back! This location is conveniently located just North of the Loop 101 on Arizona Ave. They always have a good selection of food and products, service here is excellent and friendly, & prices are always low. Only issue I found at this location is that they often do not have enough cashiers open, and lines have a tendency to back up. Still an excellent Walmart to shop at. =) read more

Seriously the WORST at online pickups. I've called at least 3 times for a pick up. I have been switched from electronics, to front desk, to operator, to hold. Called for the third time to speak to assistant manager. Have been on hold for 11 minutes. Super frustrating when items have been paid for and needing to be picked up. However, Front door greeters are absolute best! Security guard guy at night and another kid that works there with glasses best greeters ever. They seriously make up for the whole flipping store. Just order on amazon or go to target do not waste your time here. read more

Racist man in the electronics Dept. Racial profiling. This store needs some major work. And people need to be retrained and in trouble for this kind of CS I experienced my first personal racial profiling today. Guy at Walmart electronic Dept Rob had a hard time touching my items to ring me out. He was leaning against the back wall like six feet from the Counter. He wouldn't hand me my receipt he made me reach over the counter to take it off the paper register machine and never offered me a bag for my stuff I bought. And told me I was done.But sure didn't have any of these issues with the three people before me . Listen I am not Chinese and I have never been to China. I Am a half Korean/Japanese girl. Who was raised most of my life in the USA my parents are white and so are my siblings. . Just because My eyes are almond shaped and I have black hair doesn't mean you can treat me bad. I work in the medical field. So if anyone should be scared about catching the virus from someone or should be from that man who didn't have his mask on right . I will never go back to this store and I am going to take this to the Corp office to see something is done about it. Treat people with Respect. I did complain to the store mgr James because I was pissed. He said he was going to talk to Rob's boss but she was on lunch at the time. This is for the Site to Store part of the store. I went to this Wal-Mart to pick up an order that I needed to pick up. It was just before 8 am and I was at the back of the store, at the Site to Store area. I hit the button to notify someone that I was waiting, which it says to do. Not sure how long I waited, but at least 15 minutes. During that time, a number of Wal-Mart employees pass me to go to the bathroom or to the back of the store in the employee only area. Most didn't 'say anything to me, and I did look like I was waiting, but no one helping me. A handful of people did ask me if I was being helped. I said I was not. And they would disappear somewhere. I was still waiting and still no one helping me. There weren't a lot of people in the store at this time and way more Wal-Mart personnel than actual customers. Finally, I got frustrated and left the area and got a person to help me, which she as the wrong person, but she finally went to go get someone to help me. He was ticked that he was not notified, like I knew that he was servicing the area. It wasn't my fault that their system wasn't working properly. He gave the excuse that it's because of the storm. I made the comment, what storm? Well, i can see from other reviews for the Site to Store, that I doubt their notification system wasn't working because of the storm, rather it's just a crappy system. He never smiled and I tried to be really nice and light hearted, but I failed. Maybe he was having a bad day and the manager was there, but I'm not sure, because he wasn't wearing a badge. However, he was one of the personnel that passed me and never did anything to help me get someone to help me get my order. Then, when I got the order, which were 3 small packets of page protectors in a huge box that could have contained 50 packets. What a waste of postage and a box. That's an area of waste. Maybe they should take the waste there and apply it to a better notification system. Anyway, Wal Mart associates, pls be nice and smile at the customers. read more

Compared to other Walmart stores in the area, this one is rundown and kind of creepy. It's nearly impossible to find a shopping cart that works properly. The stock is usually hit or miss. I like that there are self check out stations by both doors. read more

This place is a joke. I bought a protection plan for a bike I bought, I tried to use it. But I was told the reciept does not have the purchase of the plan. Even though it was clearly stated. I was told it was entered incorrectly and therefore, void. So now I'm stuck with an item I spent 300.00 dollars on and doesn't work because it was assembled wrong, and can't get it fixed because walmart does not have decent basic employee training, nor do the managers hold anybody accountable. Terrible on line delivery service. I expected my order between 12-1 which was scheduled 24 hours in advance. I kept checking my order status an the status never changed, the on line tracker indicated my order was still being shopped. I use the customer service chat and was told there were delays but they could not tell me what time the order would be received and suggested I call the local store. I called the local store on Arizona Ave 3 different times, I was transferred and hung up on each time. My groceries were finally delivered at 2:45 PM. A regular Black Friday shopping trip. I just so happen to take a wrong turn in the store and ended up buying a new phone that was on sale. I'm very happy with my phone. As soon as I transferred phones the other died within an hour. Whew! The tire center is ridiculously slow. No employee shows any sense of urgency when working on customers cars. Ever been to a les Schwab or discount tire? They run, no matter where or what they're doing. They want you to be in and out to keep business moving. These people mosie in and drag their feet. This Walmart is outrageous. My four year old was acting up in the McDonald's area after I had paid for her lunch. She say in the child's high chair and kept sliding herself about I told her more than three times to stop so I poped her arm she immediately acted right. But she started freaking out because her nose was dripping she hates that. An older woman came up to me and started cussing and berateing me threatening to call the cops because I apparently abused my child. At first I defended myself but she kept cussing in front of my daughter so I just said sorry and the old woman kept staring and shouting profanity at me from across the food court, upset my daughter. I informed the management and a few associates walking around but nobody came to ask her to stop or leave. I had to leave without my daughter's lunch, without a refund, without any repercussions. read more

Went to this Walmart to exchange keyword exchange. Some diapers that I got from my baby shower to a bigger size due to getting all of the same size. The first gal that helped me was very nice. Told me to go back, get the same brand and as close to the same quantity as in the boxes I was exchanging. She even looked at one of them because I wasn't sure if it was them or Target and she said yes. They're all us come back. I wish I would have caught this woman's name, but this woman proceeds to tell me that one of my diapers came from Target. The other one was online order that she would not exchange and the third one is over. $25 and Walmart's policy is no exchange or refund on something over $20 without a receipt. I explained to her that these are all baby shower gifts and she proceeds to tell me that she will only exchange one which is clearly their brand. I ask her when this policy has changed that they would not accept an online exchange or something that is over $25 and she says I just came back from maternity leave and things have changed. She's very rude. Very argumentative. I wish it would have caught her name so I could warn people to stay clear of her. I even overheard her arguing with an older gentleman that was simply just asking to figure out what the balance was on his gift cards. After leaving the store I went on Walmart's online return policy and nowhere does it say that they will not exchange something that's over $25 without a receipt and also doesn't mention anywhere that they will not take it online order now that's online. Order was purchased within 90 days so there should have been no issues. I tried to avoid this Walmart at all costs and this is one of the reasons why .I know Walmart is not the best place to work from what I've heard, but if you are in customer service, you should definitely try to be more accommodating. If you don't like your job, don't take it out on the others read more
