Went to this Walmart to exchange keyword exchange. Some diapers that I got from my baby shower to a bigger size due to getting all of the same size. The first gal that helped me was very nice. Told me to go back, get the same brand and as close to the same quantity as in the boxes I was exchanging. She even looked at one of them because I wasn't sure if it was them or Target and she said yes. They're all us come back. I wish I would have caught this woman's name, but this woman proceeds to tell me that one of my diapers came from Target. The other one was online order that she would not exchange and the third one is over. $25 and Walmart's policy is no exchange or refund on something over $20 without a receipt. I explained to her that these are all baby shower gifts and she proceeds to tell me that she will only exchange one which is clearly their brand. I ask her when this policy has changed that they would not accept an online exchange or something that is over $25 and she says I just came back from maternity leave and things have changed. She's very rude. Very argumentative. I wish it would have caught her name so I could warn people to stay clear of her. I even overheard her arguing with an older gentleman that was simply just asking to figure out what the balance was on his gift cards. After leaving the store I went on Walmart's online return policy and nowhere does it say that they will not exchange something that's over $25 without a receipt and also doesn't mention anywhere that they will not take it online order now that's online. Order was purchased within 90 days so there should have been no issues. I tried to avoid this Walmart at all costs and this is one of the reasons why .I know Walmart is not the best place to work from what I've heard, but if you are in customer service, you should definitely try to be more accommodating. This Wal-Mart always seems crowded and the staff is not helpful or friendly. Shelves are disorganized and store could be cleaner.

I have visited Wal Mart over years for various reasons. Today as I always do I went in for an oil change and a battery replacement. The staff is very efficient and I got checked in on a reasonable time. During the battery replacement the battery service tech noticed that one of the battery terminals was about to fail. Rather than just connecting it and not reporting the issue he called and alerted me of the problem. He proceeded to repair the problem and spent a long time to make it right. The surprise came when I paid the bill and noticed that the only charge for the repair was a $5 part. The tech Keith was a real professional and someone that goes the extra mile to make sure that a job is done right. His performance rates a 5 star for the auto department at this Wal Mart. This is not something I would have expected. Kudos to Keith and the Wal Mart staff for his efforts. read more

My first experience w/customer service, was surprising! I simply asked if they had a body wash in stock, since it said they were in stock online. The lady I asked, asked another lady( I'm guessing a manager/supervisor) who had a mic on. The lady literally rolled her eyes at the situation. I was shocked and would of said something about it but didn't. Then it took about 20 min to wait for them to tell me they weren't in stock. Next day online said it was out of stock. I guess simple questions aren't that simple to them. BTW my bf used to work at walmart and I was expecting better from a supervisor/manager. Next time was a week ago. Again, I had a (what I though simple) question about my coupon. I used a coupon 2 days prior for a free item, but the person didn't take off the amount. I tried to explain my situation but she assumed and disrupted me to deny me a refund or assumed I got the item free. I mentioned coupon fraud. At the end she gave me the 2 refunds after we agreed she'd take note of it. Then said after giving me the 2nd refund "are you happy now?" I wasn't unhappy to begin with, just wanted them to know they were committing coupon fraud :) read more

This has been my go to store for pick up but I will be going elsewhere ! When I click the button that says no substitutions there is a reason for it. Today was the final straw. I ordered my usual order which includes two gallons of skim milk. NOT WHOLE MILK. I have previously had substituted dr pepper for dr thunder and a whole host of other things that were annoying but I brushed it off with oh its a pandemic, they are short staffed but this is the final straw. Whole milk and skim milk are not even remotely the same item. When I tried to call, the crappy phone system hung up on me twice I never even got to speak to a person. Customer service is dead ! I am so sick and tired of being treated this way. I hear all the crying now but its a pandemic, the great resignation, blah blah. There IS NO excuse for poor customer service and crappy attitudes. Its time for companies to man up and start firing those who do not do their jobs. read more

Probably the worst Walmart I've been to. Do not use them for oil changes. Some kid at the register tried to rip me off 48 cents and I had to talk him through using a calculator to do subtraction because he honestly had no idea. Effin' idiot! Plus there is a lady there in a wheel chair who will most of the time stare at you and tell you to hold on, then go chat with her co-workers. I hate this place! read more

Always a great place to people watch. Especially in the parking lot, as the woman in front of me is shaving her mustache, neck and face in her car. The prices are cheap but if I can help it I try to do all my shopping at Winco. I come here for the things I cannot get there such as a light bulb for my wax warmer and wax refills. read more

This is by far the worst customer service I've had. The business feels under staffed with employees who move quite slow. The store itself is clean, but the service is so slow and non-existent that I avoid this location. The customer service area is awful. Anytime I've been in line it's taken at least 30 minutes just to be seen. read more

Usually whenever I'd be forced to visit a Walmart, I'd have to psych myself up just to get through the throngs of shoppers, vacant employees and dodge the hordes of screaming children with sticky fingers running around like maniacs. But this Walmart is different. Every time I go, YES, I have actually been going weekly now, I am surprised by the customer service (several cashiers are wonderful!), friendliness of the staff (thank you nice lady at the deli counter) and when I needed to buy an Otterbox from electronics, the guy assisting me was FANTASTIC, even put the case on for me. I would usually insist on Target and pay more then deal with Walmart, but you have converted me, Arizona Ave Walmart - it's a miracle! read more

I usually get my oil change at wal mart because I am used to their services and I can count on them to give me the same service nationwide. However, I don't feel like this provided the same service as the other walmarts in Florida and Chicago. First, the other walmarts you drive up and someone serves you. This one I had to go in and waited a while for someone's attention. I had to wait 2 hours for my oil change but that wasn't the problem. Then, two hours later they called and said it was ready which was nice but I asked when tires should normally be rotated and I still don't know the answer, he said that the guys would have mentioned in the report if it needed to be rotated. So the previous walmarts added the tread depth usually on the report, however this Walmart didn't have it in the report. Did they check it? Did they not check it? How do I know... The guy says they did but who knows... So I didn't like the service which doesn't compete to their other Walmart tire and lube in Florida and Chicago. read more

I wanted to cash a money order at the money center in Walmart on Arizona Ave and Pecos Rd in Chandler, AZ. The associate, a very young girl, that helped me was extremely rude and impatient. She did not let me finish talking, cut me off severa times, and said smart remarks under her breath. When it was time to speak to the moneygram people, she told them false information due to her not listening to me. Most importantly she did not help me resolve my issue. When the Supervisor came over, he did not take any further action, but instead corraborated with the associate to send me out of the store, as well as refused to give me the money order back until I finished listening to him. This is unacceptable and I will never use Walmart money center again! I put in an official complaint to walmart corporate, hopefully that associate is fired! read more

I thought I had lost my new iPhone 5S so I called Customer Service at the WalMart on Arizona Ave in Chandler. All the info was taken by CSS Parris who assured me she would let me know if the phone was turned in. To my utter surprise, this woman called back after about 10 minutes to give me some information on how to make the phone more identifiable on the main screen if it was returned to me. Turns out she has the same phone and wanted to alert me to this feature that might help if there was a next time. THANK YOU, CSS Parris! How proactive and thoughtful! AND as it turned out I was a goober and the phone was in my apartment, not my purse. Thank you WalMart for letting your people know they CAN care and even make a difference! read more

This Wal-Mart for the most part is like any other Wal-Mart. 24 hours of Mediocre service, wack produce selection, and a myriad of crap you don't need. This place is pretty poor about managing stock so don't be surprised if your favorite cereal isn't on the shelf today or tomorrow. So why do I continue to be a faithful patron here? Alright, I admit, I'm always sucked in by the cheap prices and relatively close location. However, I always leave saying I'll never come back to this location. Reason being, the employees at this location are extremely rude. To this day, when I see "Judy" (you cant miss her, she's older, usually works the register, and typically has a look of pure misery across her face), I roll my eyes and wonder why she's still working there. I've come across many employees like that at this location. With the exception of Yessi- she is a floor supervisor and she's absolutely fantastic. More employees need to model her work ethic & customer service. The other downfall of this location is the trash that shops there. Tons of ghetto people who are about 99% of the famous website peopleofwalmart. Granted, the store can't help who shops there, so I can't blame them for that. Despite the usually dirty floors, the rude employees, and the gross people, this location has made great strides. The general manager Joe is doing great things to finally make this location a good spot to shop. I have personally seen him there many times and he's usually reprimanding the employees to get things done (which is exactly how it should be). read more

We may agree that when you need a prescription (especially since you just came from an urgent care facility) that a reasonable amount of time to have it filled would be appreciated . Pharmacist said the scripts will be ready in 45 minutes. No, they weren't even ready after two hours! They lost the copies of insurance card and drivers license they had copied hours earlier since we are from out of state and just happened to get sick here. I can't help but think they know 45 minutes is not realistic....just tell us the truth when to come back. Guy behind me in line said he has been coming back for four hours! read more

This place always has very long lines, even at the self checkout stations. On top of that several of the checkout stations are always closed. I can understand being too cheap to keep the checkout lines adequately staffed, but closing self checkout lines while customers are spending several minutes in line just seems malicious. read more

Alex R. that helped us in Customer service was outstanding! We had to return an xbox live card ($60) that wasn't properly working and it kept saying that the activation code was invalid. I know there's a lot of shady people that purchase these kind of cards and have no issue with it but try to be sneaky and return it back where they purchased it, thinking they can get away with exchanging it for another card. That kind of ruins it for all the honest people that are having a real issue. So when we tried to exchange the card, Alex says let me see what I can do! We were even willing to show him a screen shot of the message but he knew we were honest. He walked us up to where the gift cards were and grabbed it to take back to Customer service where he was completing the transaction. We were able to exchange it without an issue. I just want to point out how Alex was very understanding and he did what he can do to have us walk out of the store feeling satisfied. Keep it up Alex!! read more

If I could give this auto dept negative stars I would. Take my car in for an oil change and A quick look over. After waiting 3 times as long as I was originally told and paying twice as much as I was told I get my paperwork and go home. My paperwork states multiple thing were in great condition (things that arent even an option on my car) including my battery. Next morning my car wont start why my battery is dead and my alternator is shot. Trying to jump my car to get in to a shop to get the work fixed and I noticed I have NO coolant. Not low coolant, absolutely no coolant. Even if it was an extra charge or not part of the service they should be honest and say hey this, that and the other is going to need attention soon. Instead they let me drive off in 110 degree weather in a car that cam quit at any moment. Staff is incredibly rude and disrespectful. Never will I use them for anything having to do with my vehicle, I learned my lesson. read more

I'm not a fan of Walmart in general, because I find it hard to find stuff. However, for certain items, I go here because they have the best selection, like kitchen wares, for example. They also carry some items that nobody else carries. Safeway stopped carrying fabric dye, for example. Walmart has a great selection of colors. Some boxed foods are priced better here than anywhere else. So, the prices are very good and the selection is very good. It is usually hard to find someone to help locate an item. I've had to go to the front of the store and ask a cashier, when no staff is around. Also, don't count on them to email or phone you when you have ordered something. You have to follow up and sometimes, they lose the items and they have to be reordered. They are disorganized. Still, for certain items, it is well worth going here. read more

VERY poor customer service...had a bad experience with an online order "Ship to Store" -- have ordered in the past to another Walmart without a problem. Therefore, I really think it's just this store. Aside from the fact that it is dirty looking, floors never look clean, the CS reps for the most part are poorly trained, unmotivated to be helpful. They get one star because they do have a handful of employees that seem dedicated, helpful & friendly. Total Crap Show every time I go in this store or any other Walmart store for that matter. Nobody wants to help, they hide, they avoid, give answers I know are wrong and the worst is they are terrible liars. I can't speak for others, but I just want the truth, no matter how bad it is. Manager Devin Liar, doesn't care, won't help with simple legitimate problems, caused by the stores unskilled staff. Manager Bob total Liar, seems to understand the problems caused by his staff, says he takes responsibility, but then totally lays down and passes his problems off to the night manager Jackie. Jackie is rude, lazy, also a liar and uneducated and doesn't take care of business. These are the most incompetent managers I have ever met, they care nothing about customers, the store or their jobs. They are all about their brand which is We don't give a crap. My experience today revolves around a $100 refund they owe me, Bob explained we'll have to do an audit and check the cameras, like I was the crook. I explained to Bob I'll be back in 8 hours for my refund, plenty of time for him to review camera footage a count the drawer of the fool that never gave me my money. He said he would send an email to Jackie and advise her of the situation, he did absolutely nothing, my time, my gas wasted on a fool manager with zero integrity. Jackie stood there like a moron and told me all about what she wasn't going to do, but at no time did she offer to lift a finger towards a fair and equitable resolution. This after noon my battery died in the Walmart parking lot, my battery had progressively got worse the last few days but it finally bit the dust. I was their with my 10 month old and 5 year old boys... My fiancé was about an hour and a half away and my AAA NEVER ended up coming. I went to the automotive department to see if there was anyway that I could purchase a new battery. Granted I know absolutely nothing about cars but I was desperate. The gentleman Justin helped me get the right battery... but their was a huge wait and my boys were definitely not ready to wait another 3.5 hours. Justin went above and beyond to help me get my new battery in my car and avoid the nightmare I was about to face with the boys and the wait. I really can't thank him enough!! . I will from now on be going to walmart for my oil changes as well, he showed me that they genuinely care about their customers. And again I highly recommend going to this location! read more

The health department needs to visit this store! The only market in the city of Phoenix where you have to take the cart inside the store to use the sanitary wipes. By that time you already caught the flu! Always empty shelves on many items. The store looks grungy and dirty. In the fresh Deli department no one helps you, they just stare at you. Check out people are nasty. Dirtiest Mc Donalds I have ever been in. Have brought outdated food home and just yesterday a package of soggy and browning romaine lettuce. And as bad as it is the prices are getting much higher than those in a normal clean store. There is no rhyme or reason how items are shelved. For instance some of the same items are in aisles apart. This management leaves a whole lot to be desired and needs to be fired or retrained. Please do not label the store "ghetto" as there are a lot of people of varied persuasions who shop there. They are not the ones running this dreadful store. read more

I went yesterday to get my eye exam and am so upset with what happened. I was there for over an hour which first off is too long. I was debating on getting new lenses as my prescription had not changed very much. I showed the lady helping me my lenses and asked if tiny markings on the bottom were a problem. She said it just looked like the anti glare was coming off on the very bottom. She said her boss would probably be mad and her and took my glasses and left. She came back and had cleaned my glasses. Normally that would be fine, but she scratched them. I don't know what cleaner and cloth she used but in the store I noticed it mainly on the right lense. I later noticed there was scratches on my left lense as well and this was in the part right in front of my eye. I was extremely upset and the lady said there was no way she could have scratched them. The manager said that she would pay for my right lense replacement. I doubt any place would just replace one lense, but now I see there are scratches on my left lense as well so will have to replace both. I have worn my glasses now for over three hours today and I'm getting a headache from the blurriness. I will need to go today to get my lenses replaced, but I know I will have to be stuck like this for days. I refused to pay my $10 co pay. I just know they think I am lying though and this is not something I would lie about. I look through my glasses every day and can't see without them and as soon as she gave me the glasses back I knew they were messed up. At first I was just hoping she didn't get the solution she used completely off. I was just really upset with how they handled the whole situation. I use Walmart with my groceries and other purchases but this makes me wonder if I should continue to be a customer. read more
