This Walmart has a tendency of being crowded, dirty, and poorly run. Out of need I frequently have to stop in but find myself avoiding it and going to other Walmarts if able. The employees are not very knowledgeable or helpful and they don't really appear to care too much about the customer. My new 5 star Walmart. Was in line at self checkout. A guy walks right past everyone in line up to a register. The employee hits a button on his console and shuts down the register. Tells the guy he missed the line. Bravo! I told the employee good job. Should have gotten his name. read more

This walmart is a franchise walmart, which means it lacks variety and they are not corporate walmart . What this means for you? It means that if you get your glasses done in a cooperate walmart and went there for repairs or mistakes the cooperate walmart made, they will flat out turn you away telling you to go find another walmart. stick to cooperate walmarts, they are stronger and more connected and have a lot more variety. read more

Worst customer service employees I've ever encountered. They are rude, condescending, and by the way...if you are white? Don't even attempt to get anything accomplished. My husband and I purchased two Cracker Barrel gift cards. When we went to purchase them, the cashier rang one of them twice and then sat there staring at us like we were insane when we told her she had done so. She finally fixed the mistake and off we went. Fast forward three days. My mother who we had had given the gift card to informed me she had tried to use the card and was told it wasn't activated! I got my receipt and took both purchased cards to customer service. The employee at customer service looked at me like I was asking her to perform a miracle when I told her I needed the card activated. She kept pointing to my receipt and saying, "Where is the 3rd card? This card is activated." I kept telling her that the cashier rang one card up twice and that's why there are 3 card transactions on the receipt. Finally got the manager and she, too, kept insisting our card was activated even though we told her it wasn't and asked where the 3rd card was. After explaining to her twice about the cashier mistake, she informs us she had to check the cameras before she can help us because we appear to have gotten 3 cards! So after basically accusing me of stealing a gift card, she makes us stand there while she checks the video. She comes back and tells me she didn't see me on the tape, she saw a man purchasing the cards. I told her it was my husband and she tells me, "Well how do I know that?" Well done, Walmart. This use to be my go-to grocery store, it had changed over the years. They cleaned it up pretty good by changing theme colors, and maintaining the interior. They had taken out the subway eatery that was located in the back, and inserted a partition wall that obtained more refrigerators to store alcohol, juices, creamers, milk, etc. They have also noted to advertise which items are WIC products for families. This place still offers some of the lowest prices compared to other places. read more

Oh Walmart. Every time I go, I promise myself that it will be my last time. I've had lots of trouble with ordering online. I've received damaged items. When I called to have them pick up the furniture, they refuse and say that I have to return it to a store. I literally had to rent a truck to return the furniture. After standing in line for over an hour, I was told that they couldn't return it. After 4 hrs of going back and fourth, the manager came and just refunded my money. Visited on 04/29/18. Purchased 170 dollars worth of food and lawn equipment. Lines were extremely long at every available register. Bags large enough for a lot of our items were not available. Upon leaving my wife was asked by the door greeter to see our receipt, the door greeter approached my wife in a very fast manner and I had to inform them to stop! I asked why do you need to see our receipt? The door greeter replied because you have items that are not bagged. I told the door greeter this policy must not apply to everyone as literally 4 other patrons walked by us who had items that were not bagged. I then asked them does Walmart provide bags large enough for these items? The door greeter then replied "Well, um..no". I then informed the door greeter to back away from my wife immediately or this was going to escalate very very quickly. The door greeter complied and we went on our way. I urge everyone to stay away from this store. Customer service at Walmart Stores has taken a serious decline in the last 10 years. I cannot understand how we end up paying more and expect it to be ok to receive less quality customer service. read more

The location is clean and neat (Thursday, 10am) with minimum stocking. At first glance it is larger than its Tidewater counterpart. There are quite a few check-out lanes for those who just want to grab something quick and go. I had an overall good, fast experience. read more

Last night I was upset because I parked near the entrance that the store locks down after 10pm. I had arrived around 9:15pm and had taken longer than expected. This meant that I would have to walk clear across from one side of the parking lot to the other side in the dark. Then load my groceries into the car. I worry about safety after dark. A female employee was clocking out and walked with me to my car. Then she waited in her car for me to finish loading my groceries before she left. She was SO INCREDIBLY KIND. After a long shift, I know she was tired and needed to get home to rest and tend to her family. I do not know her name, but am so incredibly thankful for her. So, "thank you" kind lady for watching out for me and making sure I got my bags loaded safely in the night. There are angels among us. read more

I have given this Walmart location plenty of chances but I am not coming back! Rude customers always ready for a confrontation and rude, clueless employees and management. If you are a certain lack of caliber of human being you will fit right in if you are more fortunate be ready for an attitude or even a fight with the dredges that come in to this location! The few bucks you save is not worth dealing with the trouble makers who come in or the lazy rude employees who work there! Unlike some other reviewers I found the associates friendly and helpful. However, since nothing seems to be in stock, it doesn't matter. Lines are long. Parking lot is crowded. I'd have given it a 1 except for the people there who actually helped me. Avoid it if you can. read more

I frequent this Walmart location because it is very close to my house and they always have the best prices in comparison to Walmart and Harris Teeter. However, if I had the choice, I would go to a different location (Grassfield or Princess Anne) or just to a completely different store. I really like how the location has basically everything you need in one location: a pharmacy, eye center, toiletries, home goods, toys, entertainment, clothes, and food. Everything is usually at a reasonable price and I never usually have difficulty finding anything I need. Now for my list of cons...this location is a prime location in the Greenbrier area of Chesapeake, and it is always packed unless you come at midnight. Most of the shopping carts seem to have a messed up wheel. Although there are over 20 checkout lanes, only half seem to be open at one time and I seem to spend at least 20 minutes waiting to checkout. The bathrooms and store itself aren't always the cleanest. Like I said, I would choose to get groceries somewhere else if I could, but I guess I'm stuck here for awhile. read more

it's funny how this walmart seem to have the worst reviews but yet they keep so many customers daily,..,i have been shopping at this walmart for years and never had not one problem the staff works very hard to please the customers even when they'er mean and rude to them,the cashiers is very honest and polite...not only does this walmart keeps items in-stock/updated all season,they also have a awesome daily that serves fresh hot good tasting quality food.. this walmart is very underrated if you ask me.....instead of wasting your time writing nasty reviews about this place yall should be gald that someone is out here actually working and not at home on welfare collecting government checks....smh learn how to be nice and patient towards others if you want the same for yourself.... please have a nice day and stay bless:) read more
