I recently received an Insurance check from a well known Insurance company, that's been in business for over 50 years. I went to the Madisonvlle Walmart on Red Bank, to either cash or deposit into my Walmart Check Account. It was declined. They said they don't take Insurance checks, so I went home and contacted Walmart Customer Service. First off, I specifically asked for a Human agent, after first being put into a Chat with AI. Walmart's CS then pretended to put on a real agent, but anyone cane tell, it was still AI. Their Automated Customer Service assured me that I could go to one of two other Walmarts, and get proper service. I traveled six miles and two busses, to one of the others their Customer Service told me would help. It was the Price Hill Walmart, at 22nd and Ferguson Rd. Not only was my check, again, declined, they said it was because I wasn't in the system. Excuse me, but any and every Walmart Account Holder, should damn well be in every Walmart system, automatically. I have had a Walmart Check account for almost 5 years, now. I should be recognized as such, no matter what Walmart I go to, and be able to cash/deposit a check. This whole situation feels like a scam of sorts. If a person goes to Walmart for money services, that usually means they don't have a regular bank account. If Walmart turns you down, the only other alternative is a Check Cashing, which charges excessive fees. So, either Walmart has some kind of deal with Check Cashing companies, or they want to discourage in -person money services, and force people to use online. I am unable to do that, just now. Either way, it seems that being a Walmart Account Holder means nothing, or less than nothing, at least to Walmart. read more

I was at self checkout with my girlfriend and friend and we were all at the check out when the worker started getting rude saying we can't stand there, and saying only he can pay for the stuff and we can't stand there individually. We told her it's all one order and she was getting rude and saying we have to give all the stuff to him and made me move away from the checkout. It was really a dumb explanation and she made no sense as to why we couldn't stand there while we were Checking out saying we couldn't stand there. If you don't have high expectations, the Ferguson Rd. Walmart is for you. If you use the home delivery service and don't mind driver's making multiple stops and back tracking with your order, the Ferguson Rd. Walmart is for you. You might get spoiled food and items you didn't order. So if you like free stuff this location is for you. If you like paying a membership fee and spending lots and lots of time chatting with customer service taking the convenience out of having a shopping and delivery service, this Walmart is for you! I've had Amazon Fresh (don't expect to talk to a person in customer service) Kroger Boost ( great for having refrigerated/freezer trucks and No tipping options) the app and billing practices might make you livid from time especially if your credit card starts flagging them and blocking them during online shopping. I've never had that issue in person. Believe me it takes a long time on phone with Kroger and the credit card company. By the time you're done, your not even hungry anymore. I've used Instacart (by far the best as shoppers go) None have been perfect and each have something that might set you off from time to time. However, when it comes perks and overall pricing Walmart is unmatched. Daytime delivery service at this Walmart is way better than late evening. Late evening driver's will scan the order for delivery and then drop the order without notifying you. They might make a few stops along the way, give you stuff you didn't order and give some of your stuff to someone else. But hey when on rare occasion they do get it right and it's amazing. I've noticed that when I don't tip because they screwed up my orders too many times, I get better service as long as it's not evening and as long as I pay for express service on top of my Walmart Plus membership. read more

Went in to buy contacts and 1 additional cosmetic item. They had the cosmetic area sectioned off. I asked if I could pay for the additional item at the vision center. The cashier said no. I wish I could give them negative 5 because I ordered a cake for my grandma. I even spoke with someone and they said cake would be there. Then the actual store never answered the phone so I reached out to Walmart customer service. They told me someone picked up my cake 4 days ago. The cake I paid for and now I don't have a cake. Worst Walmart of all! The parking lot is filthy, the workers are unfriendly (the "greeter" doesn't do much greeting. They are usually chitchatting with another employee or on their phone). Yet another Walmart. Yay. I took my girlfriend's car here for an oil change. I am forced to say, it was cheap (like $20) and easy and I would consider it again when my car is no longer under warranty. Otherwise, I have a general distaste for Walmarts. I also never want to check out because I usually have one item and according to Sam Walton 20 items qualifies for "express" status. This is seriously the worst Walmart in the city. I've been here a bunch of times for a couple of reasons, it's the closest and most convenient and it's so frikin cheap but those positive points have quickly worn off. I spent 20 minutes in there the last time and most of it was from waiting in line where I was sandwiched between a baby who kept switching between smiling at this woman behind me and giving her the evil eye and the woman was responding because nobody uses their phone to pass line time at this Walmart. The cashier Caucasian woman looked to be in her 40's, and had dyed her hair green. She also made fun of me for one of my purchases (cans of double shot espresso Starbucks) which are awesome by the way. I was like really? Wow. I got a flat tire and my spare was also flat. I was originally going to go to Tire Discounters but the prices of the tires at Walmart were way better with a lower installation fee. Well I see online their Auto Center is open until 7pm so I head straight over and get there around 4pm. I'm driving on my spare, and my emergency "check tpms" light is going off but Walmart is only like 2 miles away and I had no other options in an emergency. When I get there and get in line at 4pm it is extremely slow moving. I don't get to the front until 4:45 and the worker behind the counter just says "our tire guy is gone for the day" with absolutely no empathy. I was so stressed out and I couldn't drive anywhere else because of my flat tire. Well luckily Tire Discounters is right next to Walmart. While it is more expensive, I would have saved so much time and stress if I had just gone there in the first place. read more

I absolutely LOVE this store! I will be honest, I haven't shopped at Walmart in about 15 to 20 years. I stopped due to they "lost" all of my layaway at Christmas time (when tickle me Elmo)was a hot new toy! Well, I just shopped there today(1/7/2020) AND OMG!! They have improved and impressed me a 100%!! The employees where friendly and sooo very helpful.. I WILL be shopping there from now on. They are so much better than crappy,dirty and rude Target. I am actually a Walmart fan! (I know, Yelpers are supposed to be all about locally- owned, I am just a sucker for cheap prices!) But I HATE this location! They have made many recent improvements to the store, making it a Super Walmart. In the process, they have cleaned it up and done some repairs, which it definitely needed! The selection here is now as good as any other Walmart in the city. What I hate about this Walmart is the service. I know you hate your job, but please don't take it out on me! Service is NEVER with a smile and is slow as molasses. Don't ever try to return something here.... its like a black hole you can never get out of. One time, I bought some furniture and needed help loading it into my car. They tried to call someone three times before I gave up and did it myself. (I'm stronger than I thought!) I don't have a car so I get 2 or 3 weeks of groceries at a time. I had a heart attack earlier this year so there isn't a lot I can eat as per my doctors orders. Now I don't think I bought much. The only "large" quantities I bought was four bags of tortillas and four packs of sugar free Jello snacks. When I was ringing out the cashier asked, if I had a store. I said "Do I have a store?" she said "whenever someone buys stuff in bulk they have a store." I don't have a store and I REALLY don't appreciate being accused of some kind of criminal activity in public when all I want is to do some shopping. I didn't see the cashier's name badge but, she was wearing earings that said "Queen" in big letters. When I tried to call and complain I couldn't get through on the phone. We have a Kroger within 2 minutes of where we live, and we still drive a bit further to go to Walmart. They have a great selection of, well.. just about everything. I saw clothing, crackle nail polish, beer, bread, cell phones, gift cards and just about everything you can think of that one may possibly need. I also want to say that EVERY cashier we have ever had at this location has been so awesome!! They were happy and smiling and even if they were stressed out still courteous. The prices are lower than Kroger too and we always feel like we are getting more than we paid for. I love this location and as long as we live here, it'll be our grocery store home. :) read more

I don't have super high expectations. I mean, it's Walmart. The customer service is usually okay, but nothing spectacular and the lines are always crazy and things are always unorganized. So, let's get into it. First: I needed an arm band for my phone so that I could go running. Well, they're locked up. No big deal, I'll just ask the person who is working in this area to unlock. That went well. Her and a friend are sitting in some chairs with their phones out and talking away about how much of a "slut Renee was at that party". Great. I ask if she can unlock the arm bands. She looks at me and tells me that she'll be over in a minute. Maybe I was rude? I was like ma'am, I really just want to get the arm band and get out of here. "Can't you see I'm busy?" They start laughing at me. I walk away, frustrated. Second: I wanted a new bike lock. They didn't have any out. Thinking that they may have a U-lock stocked in back and it just hasn't made it to the floor, I ask for someone to see. That person never came back. I explain the situation to another employee, they go, never come back. I gave up at that point. Third: My little sister and I needed to grab a Glad Plug-In. It's a little later at night, so they've started restocking. No big deal at all, totally understand. What I don't understand is why one of the employees is blocking both aisle and not moving so that he can hit on and grope a girl that he caught the attention of. Yeah, no. Will not be returning to this Walmart. I don't usually shop at Walmart to begin with. I'm a Target girl. Target is slightly farther, not by much, so I will no longer, ever be stopping at this Walmart again. I recommend you spend a little more money and go to Target, too. But I was in no hurry,thankfully, so I was able to appreciate the great customer service I received. I am not a huge Walmart fan in general but this store is one of the worst stores around. I feel like I am treated as a criminal by the store employees. Doesn't seem to matter if they just watched me go through the line of the register and they will want to check my bags. On top of this, never seems like they have enough employees there or ones that care about the customer. And if you can find one on the floor, half the time they give you incorrect answers or have the deer stuck in head lights look at you and say "I don't know" and don't offer to check with anyone else. Probably the WORST Walmart store I ever visited in my life. Such a horrible customer service, don't even ask me. I bought a Shoe Rack from the stands where it says the cost is $19.97, but in my receipt they charged me $34.83. I spent 3 hours to fix this huge giant shoe rack and now they want me to spend another 3 hours to (i) dismantle it, (ii) put it inside the box and (iii) return it to the store. And they will sell me the REAL $19.97 worth Shoe Rack which I need to fix it by spending another 3 hours on it. And all this I have to do even though it isn't my fault. The store representative lady talked so rudely, she isn't concerned about my issue, she rudely told me that I have to bring the item to the store WITH THE BOX and purchase the new one, or LIVE WITH IT. I told her that its so huge I can't carry it in my car, but she still asked me to bring it to the store otherwise she can't help it. She even cut the phone on my face. OMG, Walmart is the biggest retail stores in the world!!!? So, WHAT, they have to be this Arrogant? I will make sure I never visit this store again. Later a store representative Monica called me and argued that she doesn't see any shoe rack with the price of $19.97 in their entire store. I was shocked she said that. Overall I have very horrible experience with this store. I won't say this will happen with everyone, but if it does, then you will also face the same situation like me for sure. I order groceries for my elderly mom and stepfather. On 7/28 "Gabrial" (Doordash) did not call or text before delivering the order to her house. She called me right away and told me someone else's food was on her porch. I called Walmart. The phone rang a long time before got an answer. I told the employee what happened. He said to give away, donate or use the items that were delivered. They were unable to exchange them due to covid. I would not be billed for them. He took down the order number. I order the same items to be delivered 7/30. That order was correctly delivered. I was billed for both orders! I tried again to call Walmart but could not get through. I disputed with my credit card company. Some dishonest employee at Walmart lied and told the credit card company that the order was delivered and in good condition (?!) so the credit card company rebilled me the disputed amount! My mother is now sending them a letter. This is a lot of work and aggravation. The Walmart employee who lied on the credit card dispute (They didn't even have to sign it!) needs to be fired. I have tried reaching to higher Walmart employees. They said they are not going to correct it because I got the credit card company involved. As soon as they credit the $93. in groceries I am cancelling the credit card also. This Walmart is in Western Hills in Cincinnati Ohio. read more

I can't stand coming to this Walmart. I've lived on the west side since I was born and this Walmart is the definition of GHETTO and TRASH. Majority of the employees are extremely rude and unprofessional (except the few cashiers that are super nice). The customers that shop here are disrespectful and RUDE. I don't know how the managers here let customers like this shop here. It makes the company look bad and you can definitely tell Walmart has gone downhill. I took 2 car seats in for the car seat return. Chasdity was the customer service lady. She flew threw a bunch of other car seat orders. Once she got to the lady in front of me she stated many times she didn't wanna keep doing it. She didn't even finish her and was rolling her eyes saying the system was down. The lady next to her was still doing returns. We asked if they knew how long or anything since this is the last day many more eye rolls came and then she said it's going until the end of the month. We were asking if the other stores were still doing it and she was very rude, dismissive, and acting like it wasn't her job. Well, like most Walmarts, there is a huge slice of humanity represented both in the customers and the workers. I remember when this Walmart first opened and it underwent a slight renovation and improvement. There are now groceries available (but honestly, there is Kroger about 500ft to the right w/better prices). The lady at the door told me My child can not be on wheel chair. So I ask so she have to walk around the store on crutches when they made wheel chairs for people that need help getting around. This is probably the worst Walmart I have seen.I just bought some cameras last night from this location and the cashier did not allow me to check the boxed and told me that all the cameras were brand new.But when i came to home,I have realized that all were display cameras and some has broken lenses.and one of the box was empty.and today I went to this location to return this items but They did not take the empty box back and did not refund me.The cashier that sold me the cameras was lying to her manager and she told i have check all the boxes before payment.They were so rude and did not take this empty box and the broken cameras back.after spending almost an hour, no body was able to help me.I never recommend this location, they are selling empty boxes or some crap. read more

The things that management cant control push this Walmart over the threshold, making it a miserable experience. The food isles are very short, extremely limited products at this store.
