Not saying much, but the best pickup experience I've had at a Walmart. The area is on the side, which makes it easier to get in and out, and the clerk was friendly and helpful. I like this Walmart. It's close to the highway, so it's an easy on/off scenario. It has a large parking lot, so finding a space has never been an issue. Their produce department has very good quality fruits and vegetables that carry low prices all the time.....most of them change weekly, so stay updated on their flyers, websites or app. They have a quick and easy self checkout section as well, that has many stations....allowing customers to get out quickly. Recently Walmart has started digital receipts, so once the cash register recognizes your credit card, they will immediately send you a digital receipt to your phone, but you can also always opt for a paper printout. Customer service here is terrible!! The associates aren't knowledgeable and apparently supervisors aren't much better either.

The store itself is super Updated and has a lot of nice clothes which is surprising for Walmart. However, customer service is poor. I purchased a two pack of Baby cups and the sign said 647 which I thought was cheap so I looked at the tag to confirm it was in the right spot and it said two pack of cups and there were four other cups in that row. I cash out and it obviously ran up 1250 so then I said well it's supposed to be 647 he went and checked and he goes no there's other ones that are in the right spot those other ones are in the wrong spot so I said OK so there's four other packages of cups that are in the wrong spot? That literally makes no sense. The guy was beyond rude. read more

As I Was doing express check out, suddenly something went wrong. to my amazement the man, I would not even call him a gentleman, yelled from quite a distance, "check the screen and see what your doing wrong". I wouldn't recommend this store for anybody to do a Walmart delivery u will be waiting for 5 hrs or longer for ur order. they customer team sucks. they don't tell u a straight answer only to say it's pressure or some crap like that Idc. u are expected to have ur order in the time frame u ordered it for not five hrs or longer later. i have never had any issues with getting food delivered til today. so if I was u all I would suggest ordering food from a different store. sorry if I am being a Karen but I can't stand orders are delayed for no reason read more

This Walmart is definitely not my favorite but it has it's ups and downs. The location is convenient and being it's a super Walmart makes it better for a one stop shop. A few things I don't like about this Walmart is the employees are extremely rude and all look like they'd rather be dead then at work. Another issue here is I've seen MOLD on various things like bread, fruit etc.. gross. Someone should be looking into that. Also, I *LITERALLY* can't stand how they pay someone to stand at the exit soliciting you for your receipt. I actually lose my S* when they try and stop me it's so annoying and offensive. On a happier note, the store is usually well stocked, great variety and not overly crowded if you go early in the morning. At the end of the day all Walmart's are kinda the same and what keeps me coming back is the lower prices, obviously. read more

I really like this Walmart because it's in Close proximity to my home and it's also considered a Super Walmart. Not only can you buy goods for the home but you can also food shop in their very competitively priced market. On this particular visit I stopped in to pick up hair products that I had purchased through their website. Their prices were definitely lower than any other local retail stores in my area. Delivery only took two days. While picking up at the store is free, you can also pay A small charge to have your goods delivered directly to your home. Spend over $30 and delivery is free. I walked in with the intent to pick up my online order but then walked out of the store with 10 other random items I knew I had to have along the way ha ha. I needed a replacement espresso coffeemaker, which I accidentally dropped and it shattered. I had a good feeling about finding a replacement. I searched and searched and couldn't find it. Then I searched again and looked behind a shelf support and I couldn't believe my eyes. I opened to check it and it was the PERFECT size! This was a very old machine they no longer make. Krupa has made it a standard small pot and I found it right here in my local Walmart. I can't believe I found an item one would normally have to order online. After searching three thrift stores I was delighted to find the exact size coffee pot! Came home and the lid fit perfectly! I am so pleased because these espresso machines are extremely expensive and I couldn't afford it. Bravo Walmart! read more

CUSTOMER SERVICE accounts for MINUS 4 and that is being generous!!!!! While I am a avid, loyal Walmart.com customer- my visit to the brick & mortar site brutally reminded me why I AVOID WALMART LOCATIONS AT ALL COSTS!! Lol like wtf is going on here!!??) and to add insult- how did local mgmt allow this without intervening? And, if they weren't aware then- SHAME ON THEM! If you manage 1 store (I manage MANY federal facilities! 10x's this!) and are not aware what 6+ of your employees are doing... you are failing!! But, that was abundantly clear to me when I saw that many employees doing NOTHING ... all together like social hour. Ps- we are in a COVID environment and there is supposed to be social distancing!! Walmart is a necessary evil at times. Compared to several years ago this Walmart is cleaner, larger and better organized. In the end this is another one of the typical Walmarts here in Rhode Island. A few years ago, this one was converted to a supercenter. Staff for the most par are very friendly here and will help if needed. Here's the reasons why this Walmart gets three stars from me. The item selection at this supercenter is not as great as the one in Coventry and some other locations here. What I mean by item selection is that not as many brands are carried. When brands are carried, the flavors and other assorted options are not as diverse. One other reason for only three stars is the lack of cashiers available at the registers. For example, the store was packed last night, but only had the self-checkout and only five or six staffed registers open, with none open at the non-food end of the store. The self-checkout line was backed up into the main rows of shopping and the lines with cashiers were also pretty backed up. Also I hate going to or walking past the electronic section and having Cox Cable trying to hard sell you a cable package. Overall, this location will still get you what you need for the most part. I'd try to stick with non-peak times here though to avoid some of the headaches. read more

This Walmart location must be experiencing new procedures for customers in need of help for a particular item. As shoppers know, the merchandise is on a constant march, and the mystery question is where will what I need be located next time I visit. On three separate occasions, recently, I experienced one of the following responses by an associate: 1) "No, I don't know where the item is located" and does not attempt to find another associate to help me; 2) associate waves her arms vociferously toward an ambiguous location, and when I appear dumbfounded, raises her voice, and repeats ambiguous directions; 3) associate plants herself military style, crosses her arms and ignores me. Frankly, although this store is cleaner and updated to a "Supercenter", I'm not 'feeling' the super selection to be as varied as I would prefer. Try The North Kingstown store, where they finally got rid of the resentful driftwood and carry increasingly more organic food. While there is some organic produce here, the shelves have little or none. North Kingstown boasts a greater variety in home, kitchen, furnishings, auto and hardware. I visit this Walmart store 1-2times/week. At least half the time, I find empty shelves when I look for an item. It ranges from Sam's Diet Cola to macadamia nuts to jams to garden supplies. It's very frustrating, especially when I have been to other Walmart stores in the area and found everything I'm looking for. Because this one is the most convenient to me, I keep going back, hoping that by some miracle, the situation will have been addressed, but NOOOOOOOOOOO! AND, I am so aggravated by the lack of open registers...I am perfectly capable of using the self-check lane, but if I wanted to work at Walmart, I would have submitted a job application. read more

It's definitely a Wal-Mart. Good selection for a good amount of things. The shelves and aisles seem to be well kept. The employees can be seen kinda jerkin' off everywhere talking to each other and generally non-attentive to the customers, but I've usually gone at night and most of what I've seen in that respect is the night stockers, so I really don't blame them. It's not really their job to talk to me. The cashiers on the other hand are really non-conversational and didn't really take kindly to trying to lighten the mood and just haphazardly threw my products into the bag. Didn't really speak much. Kind of a bummer. In all honesty, I avoid Wal-Marts like the plague cause they give me a bad feeling, but this one is generally alright. I have to give this place five stars because they have everything that I need and want in one place. I hate to shop and during this pandemic we really don't go out much because Mike is at high risk so this one store where I can see they have taken many precautions to be clean and distant from each other supplies what I need. And if I can't get it there then I just get it online. Even their online ordering system is amazing. You go into the store to pick it up and it's like something out of the Jetsons where you put your number in and your package comes out of this machine into your hands and no one else touches it there. I just have to give them credit for the cleanliness and the thought that has gone into making this busy store a safe store. And I appreciated that they were counting people as they went in and out of the store to limit the number of people there. Very very aware of what needs to be done during this pandemic. I'm a Target girl, but when in need for wicked cheap clothes hangers and an ethernet cable, OSJL did not deliver, and Target would probably not either, so I swung down to Cranston. This location is very clean, from the bathrooms to the floors to the everything. The lights weren't super bright like my local BJ's, and it felt more like a store than a 'SUPERCENTER!' The layout of this store is CONFUSING. I was looking around trying to find housewares, and housewares is not near storage, which is not near furniture, which is not near, well you get my drift... which is making this be a 4 star review instead of 5. The cherry on the top of the awesome trip was my cashier. I had an item I last minute decided not to purchase. I apologized profusely and attempted to go back to put it away and get back in line, and the very sweet cashier said I had nothing to apologize for, and took the item! I have never had such a sweet cashier at Wal*Mart, and we bantered a little bit about the upcoming Black Friday. Her sweetness made my day. Go go Wal*Mart Cranston! The issue I have with Walmart is consistency of inventory. You find a product with a good price and the next three weeks it not on the shelf. Or you don't go at the right time and the shelf is empty and you have to go back. Plus, larger selection of items but not all brands of those items. (guess that should be a wash) Open early and late. Clean. Redbox at this location along with Subway. Employees vary. Could be better managed along with better pay for workers. Staff seems to lack motivation. No longer greeted or smiles on everyone. Easy in and out but be prepared to park a good distance away from entrance. read more

Went here today.... needed help in the clothing area. I asked all 5 employees in the fitting room where a certain item was, the pointed and said "you have to go that way". They continued conversation all while making fun of another employee and standing around doing nothing. The store was a complete mess which makes it hard to shop. Random carriages and junk everywhere. Hard to maneuver through the already crowded aisles. Poor customer service (or lack off) and a messy store was my immediate impression. Today was a good day to make a trip for purchases to replace an iron and refurbish my home with new items. I arrived at Walmart during a slow time and walked thru the aisles for my items. The products I required had been moved elsewhere. No surprise as this is common to many stores these days. I located Lourdes, a sales associate who appeared to be folding something. I asked for help, she pointed to several vague areas where I walked, and with no luck returned and asked her again at which point she finally and with great resistance walked to an aisle. Another item required another visit to the same sales associate and again she pointed to other vague areas of the store. Last, I needed to replace an iron and asked yet another sales associate, who also pointed me in vague directions. After going to the spot she claimed I would locate an iron and where actually none existed, she also with resistance walked to the spot and discovered that indeed there were no irons to be had. I followed behind her to many departments, until she miraculously discovered the new location for irons at Walmart. After choosing an iron, I could not find the price tag anywhere, and behold the first sales associate that had pointed me in all directions was nearby. I asked her if she could price-scan the item and, well, you know what happened next: She pointed me in more vague directions. After so little help, I decided to end my purchases then and there in this department and got a pair of leggings, tried them on in the dressing room, all the while listening to a gaggle of sales associates outside the door complaining about customers and other employees. Let me just say I am a 52 year old woman who has worked with the public for the bulk of my working years. Yesterday, I was shopping at the Walmart in Johnston, RI (Plainfield Pike) location to purchase household and personal products. When I got to the register, the cashier, who was a young man, made a very inappropriate comment about the feminine products I was purchasing! He then went on to ask more inappropriate, intrusive questions. I asked his age (23) which is certainly old enough to know how to act. I was so outraged I told him he needed to learn how to mind his own business and just do his job. I've purchased thousands of such "feminine products" over my lifetime which have been rung up by many a male cashier with no comments ever in my life. By the time I got home and cooled off, I tried calling the store manager directly, but apparently no one answers the phone at this store. Going forward, I will shop at the Warwick location where the cashiers are more mature and professional. read more

What I like about this Walmart is that it is, for the most part, my one stop shop. I think it is clean and well kept. I like that the variety of foods is fairly large and you can pretty much get whatever you're looking for here. I have always had a pleasant experience with the cashiers. I don't normally go into public restrooms.... I just have this thing about them.... So, no comment on that aspect of this Walmart. Prices are decent although, I feel like they are slowly creeping up to the prices of Stop & shop and Shaw's (food wise). I try to do my food shopping here in order to save a little money. I really dislike and always scratch my head at how If I go to Stop & shop and buy 15 food items on sale (and I'm not talking about any big fancy seafoods or meats), that I manage to spend $80. It's ridiculous. At least here I know I can get almost a full carriage and spend right around $100. read more

I've been going to this Wal-Mart in Cranston since they opened in the early 90's and I have to say they have a large selection of items and since they added on the grocery part of the store it has been my home away from home but the dark cloud over the store is the rudeness of a particular employee named "Carol" who is a greeter at the entrance.On one occasion in April it was pouring rain so I had to use an umbrella to get through the parking lot.Carol grabbed my umbrella as fast as I came in the door and put it in a plastic bag & stated "We think of everything" with a sarcastic smirk!!! It would have been more politer if she offered me a bag when I came in the store to put my umbrella in instead of yanking it from my hand.I had another encounter with her in the stores Subway shop when I was sitting down eating on Thursday June 1st 2017 when she told me "move your carriage" and made a hand motion for me to push it forward instead of saying excuse me please!!! Quality of products and a large variety of items give this store an A rating but unfortunately this employees' attitude toward me makes me give the store a D rating!!! read more
