Low carb/ low calorie bread and wraps

This Walmart is definitely not my favorite but it has it's ups and downs. The location is convenient and being it's a super Walmart makes it better for a one stop shop. A few things I don't like about this Walmart is the employees are extremely rude and all look like they'd rather be dead then at work. Another issue here is I've seen MOLD on various things like bread, fruit etc.. gross. Someone should be looking into that. Also, I *LITERALLY* can't stand how they pay someone to stand at the exit soliciting you for your receipt. I actually lose my S* when they try and stop me it's so annoying and offensive. On a happier note, the store is usually well stocked, great variety and not overly crowded if you go early in the morning. At the end of the day all Walmart's are kinda the same and what keeps me coming back is the lower prices, obviously.

Picked up hair products that are much cheaper buying through Walmart's website!

I really like this Walmart because it's in Close proximity to my home and it's also considered a Super Walmart. Not only can you buy goods for the home but you can also food shop in their very competitively priced market. On this particular visit I stopped in to pick up hair products that I had purchased through their website. Their prices were definitely lower than any other local retail stores in my area. Delivery only took two days. While picking up at the store is free, you can also pay A small charge to have your goods delivered directly to your home. Spend over $30 and delivery is free. I walked in with the intent to pick up my online order but then walked out of the store with 10 other random items I knew I had to have along the way ha ha. Thanks for the great service, Walmart Super Center!

Their produce department has very good quality fruits and vegetables that carry low prices all the time.....most of them change weekly, so stay updated on their flyers, websites or app.

I had the opportunity to visit on Sunday, September 14th. Garden City Center's historic gazebo green transforms into a vibrant, open-air Farmers Market. The Farmers Market is every Sunday from May 18 through September 28 from 10 AM to 2 PM. I wandered and checked out the local vendors. There were a great variety of them. I purchased a really cute coaster from The Book Emporium RI. The Book Emporium RI sells books that are wrapped and you have a blind date with a book. I also purchased a lavender sachet from 15 Lavender Place. I spoke with the owner and she told me all of the lavender is lovingly home-grown and hand-harvested, ensuring the highest quality and care go into every product. There were soothing lavender eye pillows, relaxing neck wraps, sprays, and bundles of dried lavender. I also went to Fully Rooted to purchase two bottles of freshly pressed juices-Watermelon Slice and Golden Greens. There were also local food trucks, farm booths, and local makers. The Garden City Center Farmers Market is a market for everyone. Either if you just want to stop for coffee, get produce for the week, flowers, dog treats, see alpacas, and so much more.

I've been inside the store quite a few times and while it's generally clean it can be a chaotic mess. I was looking for something specific and I couldn't find it to save my life. I went over to the area where I could request an employee, which they did come but they were pretty useless they told me they had a quantity of 2 of the items I needed but she couldn't help me find the second one (it was a toy) because the whole toy section I was in was a horrendous mess, instead of helping me look for it she took one look for maybe all of 1 minute shrugged and said I'm sorry I couldn't find it, and went on about her day. I found this very disheartening because her job is customer service and I feel like a minute of "looking" wasn't looking at all. I indeed did not find the item and just got it somewhere else. There's nothing special going on here. I wasted my time actually. But I'm also not a target person really, so no stress.

Located in an unoccupied storefront there is plenty of space and it was almost full of vendors. The market was well attended during our visit around 11:30 with lines cueing up at some of the vendor tables. I did not see any produce vendors, and I suppose there is not much fresh veg growing in RI in February. Many of the vendors have socials accounts, websites and business cards. Definitely stop by and see if there is anything of interest. We found several vendors that would make good resources for gift giving in the future. The mall is doing well with most storefronts occupied. Rocky Point chowder house is to be opened in the food court. I look forward to that. Plenty of parking. After being a regular customer of 25 years, this store lost my business. The place tries to…read moreovercharge you. An item will say, for instance, $2.99 on the shelf sticker and will ring up for $3.49. This wasn't on one occasion or on one item, it happened to me on four visits on multiple items. I had to start taking pics of the shelf stickers with my iPhone to show the cashier's the discrepancies. When I noticed it in the beginning after looking at my receipt, they would correct it my giving me my money and and then some--Like a dollar or two for the inconvenience. But the final straw for me is they emailed a rewards coupon for $10.00 off an order. I've gotten these coupons before and used them no problem. At my final visit to the Seekonk location, saw only $4.25 was discounted instead of $10.00. So, the cashier called for assistance and I thought this woman who came up front was a manager. She looked at my coupon, looked at the receipt and said, "Well, will you look at that? Oh well, if you want the $10 discount, you need to call corporate." I was like "Call corporate? Why? For some reason it didn't take off the right amount. Can't you just give me the difference?" "Nope" she said, "We don't give you coupons here, so you need to call corporate to see if they'll give you the money." So I suggested, "Well, can't we reverse the order and re-ring it to try and see if the coupon will take the correct amount off?" She said "Nope. The coupon was already scanned and used--when it's gone IT'S GONE!" I was like "Why are you refusing to help me? You see I have a coupon for ten dollars and can see on my receipt it only took off $4.25?" She starts yelling "BECAUSE WE DON'T GIVE YOU COUPONS HERE, ITS FROM CORPORATE!" I'm like "Am I not standing here at a location of Big Lots, which is part of the corporation? An error of some sort occurred. It's not my fault" Then she starts yelling "THE CASHIER DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG!" I replied, "I didn't say she did. It's not her fault the coupon didn't deduct the correct amount. But this needs to be corrected HERE! It happened at this location and it should be rectified HERE!" (note: two items rang up at higher prices than listed on the shelf stickers and when ringing me out, she corrected it no problem). She said "We're not doing it". I said, because I assumed she was one "This is absolutely abysmal customer service and you have poor management skills". She said "I'm not a manager". I said "Well I can see why!" Then, at the top of the lungs, screamed GET OUT!!! Like she was Ralph on the Honeymooners. I left saying "You want me to call corporate? I will and it WON'T be just about this coupon". So, I contact corporate and guess what? The coupon they sent me was encoded incorrectly deducting only 20% off the order instead of $10. I gave them this wicked woman's name (I won't disclose it here, but she has long grey hair like Brunhilda) and told them about the wretched experience I had with this woman. All they did was give me what I was supposed to get in the first place--an email with just another $10 coupon. I got nothing more for the inconvenience or abusive treatment. I got no contact from a real manager at that store apologizing, I got no notice if the situation was addressed at the store. So, I took my coupon to the Swansea location, purchased enough up to $10, paid the remainder of 34 cents on the bill and left. I went home, threw my Big Lots card away and removed myself from their emails. Ollie's is now the store I shop for for great discounts. This Big Lots in Seekonk gets a zero stars rating from me--along with their corporate office!
