When it comes to retail and food business, I'm usually the most non confrontational customer you will ever have. I have a very high tolerance for any kind of inconvenience, but I will never go to the automotive section of this Walmart again. I bought 4 new tires for my car at 2:30 pm, and didn't leave the store until around 7:15. I found out that for about 2 hours of that, every person working on tires decided to leave the garage and assumed another person would stay. Then when the nearly 5 hours had passed on a normally 2 hour procedure, I went to pay and the employee at the counter quoted me nearly 115 dollars less than what it actually ended up costing. And to top it all off, they are very very rude and act like they would rather not have your business. Never again read more

Do NOT use the grocery pickup services here - horrible service! Waiting in parking lot since 7:15pm, for notice that order to be ready between 7-8. At 8:01pm, finally notified order ready. Immediately move to pick up area and check- in. At 8:45pm, a manager comes out and tells us and the several other cars waiting that there are no pick-ups after 8pm. That was the final straw for us, after 2-3 prior pick ups where supposedly they did not have items allowed to order, and when parked car to go in and get a needed substitute- defeating the purpose of no contact pick up - everything missing was on the shelves. If you want groceries and no contact, go anywhere else, not here! read more

I feel that thus store needs a face lift on the inside & outside. Each time I have visited this store it gives me a feeling of being dirty and old, especially compare to some of the new Walmart stores I have visited in the surrounding areas. The paint is old and cracking in lots of places, restrooms are very old and outdated, also I noticed that the image of the store is usually the same image that the Walmart workers betrayed. Who the heck is programming your self checkout lanes? When I went to school, green means go, red means stop, and if there is no lights on it means there is no power going to that system. Well now some backward thinking millennial has reprogrammed it to have "ready to scan" with no top lights on! The green top light comes on only AFTER you have scanned the first item. WTW? Several employees had to stand there and waist time telling everyone in line to go to a empty scanner that had no green top light and a red scanner light lit and had to explain the new light system. Everyone was seeing only the green lights lit at the ones people had already starting scanning and waiting on those thinking those are the only ones working. Even the employees did not like the new system. I think someone in charge needs to go back to school. read more

Location is OK in terms of stock and customer service. Getting in and out of this location is pretty nasty. All of the connecting roads get gridlocked to the loop. The parking lot itself is downright scary. Cars flying all over the place in every direcion. read more

This is a review of Wal-Mart in Denton. The day after Christmas, I went in to take advantage of Christmas sales. Everything was half off. I saw a doll camper suited to American Girl . I was also interested in a Baby Alive. Signs over both items said in big letters ORIGINALLY $60. So I ,of course, assumed they were $30. When I checked out, they both rang up as $60. A supposed Specialist was called over. She insisted that the $60 prices were the half price prices. As if Baby Alive was originally $120!! I asked her to go look at the display but she would not. I spend at least a thousand dollars a month at this Wal-Mart and the one in Crossroads. I will never shop this store again and will also take my pharmacy expenditures elsewhere. That's a big price for Wal-Mart to pay for the rudeness and stupidity of their employees. read more

They have very cheap items and most always have what I am looking for.I have found that the employees are very rude at times and the place is very filthy. The floors look like they are never mopped. The fruit and meat selections can be down right horrible at times. read more

After waiting 30 minutes for a manager to tell me they only honor competition in Denton, I decided to call the Walmart on University. i got a rib-eye tonight for dinner with my boyfriend, and once we opened it when we got home, the meat smells like it was sitting outside for 3 days. The worst thing was when we went back to Customer service to complain about our horrible experience , i was not pleased by this guy named Julian who is the night manager at the shore. i wonder if this is how walmart treats their costumers. i will not want to go back to get any kinds of meat any more. i rather go to other shore for better and safer food.. read more

LONGEST/WORST oil change experience of my life! Drove up, the lady taking my information said the wait would be an hour to an hour and a half, i was ok with this. Went to thrift giant did a little shopping for about 45 mins. Went back to Walmart to finish up shopping, upon walking in i saw my car was next in line, YAY. Shopped; this store is poorly stocked and the aisles are so narrow it allows for only one cart at a time. I checked out went and looked where my car was, it was in the same location it was 45 mins ago! The ladies at the lube desk couldn't give me an ETA. 3 hours. Yup 3 hours from the moment i drove up till i drove off. read more

Our old WalMart could change and rotate tires. Not this one...car kept pulling to the left after our tires were rotated. We had planned to take the car back, but our dealer noticed the problem at an oil change and fixed it. It was apparently quite obvious to the dealer's mechanic, but either ignored or not noticed by WalMart. (Neither of those options makes me feel better, though.) read more

While I can afford not to, I shop the Loop 288 Walmart regularly because of the relative value it offers. You can, of course, beat its price on many items at, say, a Home Depot or Target, but overall Walmart will save you money. The service is mediocre but not obnoxiously so. The store and parking lot are always crowded. Biggest complaint is the almost overwhelming presence of our Southern Brethren with their obligatory multitude of kids in tow and with their inability to exercise the King's English.. read more

Never get an oil change here. They'll cut cost at every chance possible. They used the wrong oil grade (cheaper price). The guy also over inflated both tires on the right. Their receipt said they would never touch the tire pressure. I could feel the difference right after I started driving. I brought my car back and they just drained the oil, then put the same oil back in. I'll never return. read more

As Walmart's go, this one is good for me. Fairly clean, although you better shop early if yo I like the selection at this location way better than the University location in Denton. It's odd they don't carry the same items. For instance, my home has serious coffee drinkers and we only use half-n-half. I easily buy two half gallons of the Great Value brand a week. I can always reliably find them at this location but the University one NEVER has them in stock! I'm lucky if I can find the teeny pint sized cartons. This location is also convenient for when you have to hit the Kroger across the street for the OTHER items you still can't find. :p read more

I only wish I could give negative stars for this place, especially the automotive department. We waited over an hour and a half for a flat tire fix, and they charged us the full ten dollars, BUT DIDN'T FIX ANYTHING! They also left both caps off the front tire stems. On top of that, as a few of the other reviews posted, they left grime on the inside of the door, and all over the seat. I'm so disgusted. We will NEVER do any sort of business with this Walmart again. read more

First of my many mistakes was to go to the AUTO dept for an oil change. Next was to ask why my Ram truck went in with NO problems. (Especially no bells and flahes that I needed to check the air bag system) .I was promptly told, "Not our problem," Then I watched as the 2 (non) service reps had a good laugh at my expense. The so called manager...who btw, told me she had been there 20 years, called me a liar also. You could, clearly, see the displeasure she had with my questioning "HER" EMPLOYEES. She was curt, smug, and had zero customer service skills. Some one had rained on her parade all week. Upon a contact with WM face book page, I got their computer generated, generic response...blowing smoke is a proper term. I WAS warned over and over again by YELP to stay clear of this place! The workers here are so rude, and make it feel like you're wasting their time. I was trying to purchase some furniture that they didn't have on their shelf, and I was asking for assistance just to be sure it was out of stock before heading home. I ended up going to the paint section to find help that wasn't busy, and decided to ask the guy about prices on paint while I was there, he actually asked me "so are you going to buy anything, or just stand there and ask questions?" He could have just asked "do you need anything else?" Then I had to ask him for help with what I was looking for, which I had to repeat three times because he wasn't paying attention. I ended up having to go to two different people, they both paged people, and I waited for several minutes, both times, before just calling it quits and heading to the Walmart on Hickory Creek. (Happy ending: I found what I was looking for within the first 5 minutes being at the walmart on Hickory Creek, and the employees even offered to help me carry it out.) read more

Not sure why anyone wants to shop here..their parking lot has trash all over it...their photo machine inside has not worked in the 2 times I have been up there to use it and while leaving the store noticing all the very long lines at check out. Unbelievable!! read more

WELL this store has been completely remodeled from the floor up. aaaaaaaan to anyone who thinks the service is bad get over it. the associates that work there are usually pretty friendly if you actually talk to them like people and not "the help" and unlike any other walmart you go to they accept almost any return unless youre just stupid and the management will pretty much blow you if you have a complaint... just so you know i work for walmart and i used to work at this one. ive worked at 5 walmarts total and it was horrible to work there because the rude people or the CUSTOMERS and the MANAGERS. they treet the employees there like a pile of human waste. Let's start from the beginning! Well, not the very beginning (ain't nobody got time for that!) it started this past Monday in the photo center. (Deep breath!) I downloaded my pictures at a kiosk (special pictures, of my friends delivery) the kiosk (after download) deleted my pictures from my memory card without asking!!! I was not happy but whatever, I'm having them put on two CD. Later that evening I go to pick them up. (Insert excitement) after looking for 20 minutes the girl looking in the same two places more worried about flipping her hair for the 50th time finally admits she can't find the CD. Two more employees come over and they can't find it. Blood is boiling but I keep it cool. They did find my pictures in the system and reprinted the CDs. NEXT photo lab experience... (Rolls eyes) on Tuesday I sent a picture to be put on a canvas. I get a phone call that it didn't work and that the picture needs to be re sized, no problem, resize it and two hours later I get a call it's done! Go to pick it up and it's 10 shades of screwed up, have them fix it again. We're at Thursday now, go to pick it up annnnnnnnnd... It's worse than the first two, SERIOUSLY! The guy and girl that are working on it said they know exactly what to do and promises it will be perfect Friday. We go in this evening (with excitement) to get it. OMG, you guessed it! It's ducked (ducked with an F) up! I can't believe they can't do this! We talk to the store co-manager., Michael. He assures it will be fixed and free. F free, I need it by tomorrow morning for the party, it's a gift for someone. I just want what I ordered and Walmart claims they can do. We leave Walmart, they call 40 mins after we get home and say "come back up now, we fixed it and it's almost done" my husband drives the 30 minutes back to that Walmart (for the last time) waits 20 mins. And BAM, it prints.... And... It's F up. My husband talks to the manager and he said "someone is comic in the morning to fix it. You will be compensated for your time and gas." Whatever, I'm done. They clearly are incompetent and not trained whatsoever. I will take it to Walgreens tell them what Walmart has done for the past week in hopes they can help and put a rush on it. I went and got my oil changed here today, and the technician left oil and grime all over my door and the center console of my car. The minute I got back in my car I was overwhelmed with the foul smell of oil. I was also charged for vacuuming that didn't get done. There's no excuse for getting oil and grime on the inside of my car--extremely unprofessional. read more

employees are very rude on the night shift they make you feel like your coming into there house uninvited, and they don't want to be bothered,no one ever said a word to me just gave me dirty looks. really bad attitude cashier. I really thought I was being punked never have I been in any store that was ever this bad. it was just very weird and strange. by the way I did fill out a survey that asked about my race I don't know why they ask that question that should have nothing to do about how there store rating is I guess I shouldn't have told them my race because they have not called me.
