This Wal-Mart is your typical Walmart. Busy, rude customers, store always looks dirty and a lot of cheap crap. If you want to go JUST get groceries, cross the street and head over to WinnCo. What an outstanding store, employees and a better selection of food than Walmart. I do need to mention that I have had some of the BESTcashiers at this Walmart. This Walmart is usually a pretty busy one, but they keep it clean and organized and respond well to building lines. There's plenty of parking and lots of other places in the area so you can combine errand stops. FYI - if you know your Walmart layouts, this one is the pharmacy in the middle near the groceries layout. Sam's Club is right next door. This Walmart's gas station is actually the Sam's Club one, so you have to be a Sam's member to buy gas there. This location has a McDonalds. read more

I'm scratching Walmart off my list for grocery shopping. There are no longer any more 20 or less items lines and usually only a few lines open with real human cashiers. These lines had people with full carts so I went to the self-checkout. Why am I supposed to do all the work to check out, including figuring out what produce item I had? And i'm thinking the Denton Walmart is testing their new "Scan and go" feature. Except it's not really "Scan and go;" you have to go to a certain section to make sure you scanned your items correctly. When I complained to the greeter at the exit, he shrugged his shoulders and said "sorry." There are a lot of other options for grocery shopping very near Wal-Mart!!! read more

I don't know what it is about this particular Walmart, but they never have anything you go in for. Take cucumbers for instance, the store across town is stocked full of cucumbers, this one had none. That's just one story out of many. I could go on about calling the store to make sure they're taking part in midnight release, and get there at midnight and no ones even heard of it and can't find their stock read more

It's Wal-Mart what do you expect. This Wal-Mart is pretty new and very annoying at the same time. I find the way they arrange items is different than the first Wal-Mart in Denton. So, when I first went here it took me a bit to find some things at first but eventually got the knack of it. The employees are frustrating because they don't know where things are or know how to do things. I asked for a cashier to suspend a transaction so I can get my card which I forgot in my car and she ends up un0ringing everything up and said oh well. Most cashiers should know how to suspend a transaction. Customer Service is really nice and Photo Shop is nice too. No complaints there. Luckily they have everything and they're pretty much in stock--good for me! Yay! read more

Great upscale improvement to old Denton Walmart! This isn't one of the "Gucci" Walmarts like they have in Plano that make fresh sushi every day, but it is a clean store. The floors and aisles are cleaned regularly. This was not the case in the old Denton Walmart and the place turned into a dive in short order. This place is always packed, but I can always get a good parking space in their huge parking lot. read more

This Walmart leaves their phones off the hook. Both in the store and the pharmacy. Forces the patron to drive to the store, wait in line to get your prescription filled, wait for the prescription to be filled and then wait in line to pay for the prescription. Often they do not have the prescription at the store and will not tell you that until you are ready to pay for the prescription. Then you have to wait several days to do the same process all over again. read more

Have recently moved from Burleson, Tx and shopped at the Walmart there. Stocking was done at night and rarely were there missing items. since moving to Denton about 2 months ago I have never been to the store when the shelves do not look like they need to be restocked. Example would be large tuna in water or Birdseye frozen peas. Haven't seen them ever. There seems to be a managerial issue here when so many areas are lacking products. read more

Parking can be a hassle but the traffic typically eases during the evening hours. The food is usually orderly and the prices are typical to Walmart Superstore standards. The location is great it is near fast food stops and two gas stations right next to the highway. The staff is usually helpful and then engaging when you can find them not helping another customer. Most are pretty knowledgeable as to where items can be found. The checkout is relatively quick and the cashiers are very understandable with students who have to split cost via multiple debit cards. The restrooms are very clean as well as the exterior. There is Security on-site which is very welcomed during late hours shopping that I typically do. I plan to continue shopping at this location and would recommend it to fellow students and families are alike. read more

This is my 3rd time ordering groceries for my elderly parents to pick up their groceries at Walmart @ Rayzor Ranch, Denton, TX. The first 2 times went pretty smooth. This time, I ordered last evening for a pick up today at their given time slot of 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.. I was notified the order was ready to pick up. I contact my dad 85 years old, he gets there, and there are 14+ cars ahead of him waiting to pick up with more filing in in, in different directions getting ahead of people already waiting. This is unacceptable, especially when they told us it was ready for pickup. Our entire day has been wasted waiting to hear from them. We did get a notification it was delayed and I can understand that. It is now 5:00 p.m. and my father left after the 3rd car butted their way in front of him. There is not an employee directing any traffic. They need to have cars enter only in one direction and exit the other. This is total crap when people are bullying their way in front of an 85 year old man. I should cancel the order, but they really need these groceries. I will try for the 10th time to speak to someone nobody. No one will answer the phone, not in pickup or in the store. It rang so many times, and I called 4 times, that the call cut off. I am in no way pleased about this and will be looking for another store and you can bet it will not start with a W and end in Mart!!! read more

Overall Walmart tries to accommodate, in my opinion. Stocking and pricing can be very difficult to coordinate in any store. Because they are so busy at this time of year I suggest you check your items on your tag before leaving. I found,yesterday, items that were discounted but did not show discounted on my sales tag. This Walmart never fails to frustrate me. While the exterior of the store is well-maintained and painted in nice neutral colours, the store itself is a nightmare. Certain products (many of them staples, such as milk and eggs) are routinely out-of-stock, and I have gotten so fed up with waiting for them to restock their makeup aisle (I buy a brand of primer that I can only find at Walmart) that after a month I finally drove to the other side of Denton, where the (much smaller) Walmart had it stocked and on the shelf. I also hate the college crowds that this Walmart attracts. It is not uncommon to see large groups of college-age boys raucously roaming the store after dark. As a female in her mid (okay, late) 20s, I do not feel comfortable visiting this store late at night, having received one too many propositions from drunken college boys while shopping. (Really, you're going to hit on me at WALMART? While I have a cart full of groceries?) All in all, I generally avoid this Walmart. Why waste my time when I know 10% of my shopping list won't be in-stock? read more

I went in to pick up an order I had placed for pick up, 3 of my 4 items had arrived in store. I went first to double check to see if the 4th item was in stock, it was. I grabbed it and brought it to the pick up desk with me. Upon arrival at the pickup desk, Nancy, a associate snaps at another girl to come help me and then walks away. I explain the situation with the 4th item, and ask if we could work it out to where I could just take it with me since I was already in store, and the item was actually in stock. Nancy told the other girl working that it couldn't be done because it hadn't been "binned in" yet, and the other girl says that maybe her manager can help. Nancy insists it can't be done, and the other girl tells me that her manager is in the back scanning in TVs and is too busy to come resolve the issue. I found this customer service beyond sub par and the fact that it couldn't be worked out for me to take the item that was IN STOCK, and that I had already paid for absolutely ridiculous. read more

I always thought WalMart Pharmacy was supposed to be cheaper. I just called to check the prices on my prescriptions. They informed me one of them was over $70. The pharmacy I usually get them at it is only $17. I will never fill my prescriptions there especially when it takes forever to have them ready. read more

Do not, and I repeat do not go to this pharmacy unless you want crappy service. The pharmacist Tiana is extremely rude and condescending. I needed some counseling regarding some symptoms I was having and needed some advice as to what otc meds to take and she barked at me like I should have known what to take and acted like I was inconveniencing her. I even heard her yelling at a customer before me. Walmart needs to know that her behavior is not acceptable especially when you are feeling really sick. I would rather go to the other locations than to deal with her attitude ever again. read more
