I always stop here to get gas across the way, pee break & for the great deals. You can't go up to Tahoe without getting the Hostess chocolate donuts. They always have great deals, bathing suits for the hot tub if you forgot it at home, & anything else you might need. Also, before you leave don't forget to get some Sam's Water that's sold super cheap in the vending machine. The first time I came here.. was probably like... 5-6 years ago.. when I attended UC Davis... I have not been to this Walmart since I graduated back in '05... There was this one item that I could only seem to find here and for a good price... so I had to stop by to see if they still had it.... they didn't... (it's the Trolli sour brite crawler eggs) but that was okay.. I was a bit disappointed but I kind of figured they wouldn't have it... since apparently it's not popular enough for all grocery stores to have it.... We still did a little stroll down a couple aisles and this place is surprising neat & pretty organized for a Walmart! It's very spacious and have a great variety of things.. I really like this wal mart especially over the Vacaville one and Fairfield one. But serious, the self checkout people need to get a life. When Hwy 80 is a Parking Lot with the masses exiting Tahoe....I pull off in Dixon and do some grocery shopping. Old Wal Mart is getting a little organic...their Drug Store Cosmetics aisles are a bargain. Great selection of gift bags, Party supplies, and craft items. Customer Service here has consistently lacked. 52 years old, with my wife, I don't have my ID, my wife does and because I was helped put the alcohol in the conveyer belt, they won't sell us the alcohol. I arrive walk inside ask if they have anymore carts, they tell me to try looking in the parking lot. They often have 2-3 registers open and lines longer than 10 people. This is one of the reasons they make money, they pay fewer people to work. Customer service is not a priority for Walmart, your money is. read more

Crappy customer service. Tried to buy razors with no luck. The razers are locked up. I tried for about 40 minutes to find an employee to help me find the razers that an employee put up front for me while i shopped. This Walmart doesn't even deserve a star. The employees who work in the food/deli/ produce area look very depressed especially when asking for help. I tried asking one person for help and they look like they were about to cry. But I don't blame the workers for feeling that way. Student in Davis from out of town-country. Ordered a bike on September 7 that was described as deliver the next day, Sept 8 and well it was not delivered and has not been as of date of this post. Calls were made and options given were to cancel which would have taken them off the hook for not fulfilling their contractual obligation to please pick up from the store in Woodland - this is for a student not familiar with Davis, let alone a long bike ride from Woodland to Davis in temperature of 43-46 degrees! Excuses given were the delivery drivers tried to pick up but package was too big for their vehicles. Call Walmart.com and Sam(uel) said it would be delivered by 8 pm on Friday - Not. Call Walmart.com again on Saturday and got Geovanna and she said to give her 24 hours which ended on Sunday, September 11 with nary a notification - Radio Silence. On call with them and just getting nothing but run round. 2 supervisors and just left hanging on call. Will be deleting my Walmart Don't Care account after my last orders are fulfilled and moving on to other vendors. read more

Walmart is known for cutting corners. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Who ever they hired here as a store manager is probably one-step out of homelessness or something like that. I've read other reviews, and my experience matches them. This store is piss poor. I will be spending my money in Vacaville, a better Walmart, and across the street from that Walmart is Sam's. No sense in wasting time and money in Dixon. My issue was an endless time on the phone for a really bad experience at the food stand. The cooked, ready to eat food was not fit for dogs, specifically the cheese sticks that chewed like tennis shoe soul. Then the jalapeno poppers that tasted ...used or something nasty. The pharmacy screwed up my heart medication and so I was out for several days. Anyone with heart issues knows how imperative it is to have the meds there and on time. I've been to this location many times, but that's going to end today. The service has always been below par; employees walking around like the dead with similar expressions on their faces, certainly not people I'd want to ask even the time of day. This has been my observation over some 6 visits spanning a few weeks. But what really bothered me is that today, after dropping my wife off at work, I needed to buy some quick cleaning supplies. Internet says this location is open 24 hours. Cool! I get to the door and there's a sign that says "Open 24 Hours." However... the door was locked. Lights were dim. I could understand the internet being wrong, but if you have a sign in your window that says "Open 24 Hours" and your doors are locked, that's a big red flag to me. I waited a few minutes to see if maybe this was an oversight but no one ever came to help me, I only say an employee ride by on their isle sweeper. SO, should you be looking for an odd hour Walmart location that's open 24 hours, look elsewhere or you'll have wasted your time. Lastly, I will give credit to two employees out of the many I've seen and few I've even tried to interact with that were friendly and helpful (in the electronics dept. and "do it yourself" dept.) that are the only reason I rate this location even a 2. My husband and I were shopping at the Dixon Walmart and left our $60 cash back at the self checkout. A couple of hours later we realized that we never took the money. So we called the store and spoke to manager Barbara. Barbara told us to bring a receipt and they would be able to return the money. We came next day with the receipt and got the money back without any issues. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the other manager who helped us out with the return. It was 05/28/19 at about 10:00pm. A huge thanks to Barbara and the other manager who worked that shift. You show by your own example that Walmart has very nice customer service. read more

I made a quick stop from Sacramento to home Sonoma county we have 2 Wal-Mart's. Which I dread going to due to the fact that they are always a disaster and never anyone to help. So tonight when I walked into the cleanest most organized walmart I have ever seen , every worker was actually straightening and stocking and helpful. My family was shopping and picked up some things to make for a Thanksgiving feast- including a few bottles of wine. Before we could make it to the check out, the baby was getting extremely fussy- in her defense, we were there a lot longer than anticipated. My husband gave me the keys and I took the baby out to the car to calm her down while he finished up. Upon getting to the register, he was promoted to show his ID to purchase the wine. Being military, we have out of state driver's licenses and apparently that's a red flag for fraud as he was asked to show a second form of ID, so he handed over his military ID. He was then told by the cashier she couldn't sell the wine to him because "that girl he was with earlier was not present with her valid ID." If other liquor stores had been opened, I would have stopped by on he way home, and seeing as how it was the night before thanksgiving and I didn't want to go back to the store on thanksgiving- I wouldn't have drug the baby back into the store where I too had to present two forms of ID to a very rude cashier. This location never has good customer service and this was the cherry on top for me. I will not be visiting this store again. I will drive from Dixon to the Vacaville target to get the items I need that Safeway doesn't carry. read more

This review is for the bakery - I ordered a cake for my daughter that was to read "Kelly, our princess," but received a cake that instead read "Kelly, are princess." I recently ordered another cake and came in to pick it up. The cake form was "put in the wrong box," so was never made. After confirmation they would make the cake and it would be ready "in 30 minutes," 3 hours later I received a call that came I ordered wasn't available and "was supposed to be crossed out in the book." Upon my second retrieval attempt with a modified version of my order, the cake was never made and they somehow had never heard of the order under my name. I called shortly after to try to resolve the issue and they left the phone off the hook in the bakery. Go to Safeway or Solano Baking Co. for your cake orders. read more

My car got a flat that wouldn't hold air but I was able to make it here at 6:00 p.m. The service center closes at 7:00p.m. but I was refused service. When I told them I was stranded 3 hrs from home the basically told be too bad and well get to it in the morning. There was only one other car in the shop...Not only were these recognitions extremely rude they were completely unsympathetic. I will never shop here again and I suggest others do the same. read more

This store is neat and organized every time I've come here. Compared to other walmart's I've been too, this is one of the best ones. I always see employees restocking shelves. And for some reason things I find here in the supermarket section, I can't find at other stores. Oh, and the best part.. Open 24hrs! Which there isn't anything else open 24hrs around here. The reason I'm even writing this review is because of my experience today. I walked by a cashier lane and saw that the light was off but the girl was helping someone. I was gonna go to the next lane but when she saw me look, she waved at me to come thru so she could help me. One of the items I purchased was cheaper online and she was really nice about taking the time to price match it for me. She even helped another person after me, even though she needed to go on break. I thought that was note worthy, as a majority of employees (anywhere) wouldn't do that. I made sure to glance at her name tag before I left... Today I had another great experience with the Pharmacy staff at with Walmart in Dixon CA. Under the management of Kim, the staff in Dixon has consistently provided excellent customer service to me for the past 3 years. I live in Winters, but end up having many of my prescriptions filled in Dixon because of less than stellar service at the Vacaville store on Helen Power Dr. I had the pleasure of speaking with Danny this morning, and every time I have had the pleasure, Danny has been friendly, knowledgeable, and an enthusiastic problem solver, always with excellent results. I have never had a negative experience with this store regarding my medications, and over the years, have had hundreds filled here by this excellent staff. My brother is a district manager for Walmart pharmacies and I called him today to tell him again what a fantastic team Kim mentors and manages, especially Danny. Was traveling from Davis back to the bay area. I shopped at the Walmart Supercenter. It was very well stocked and the prices were very competitive. However, the service was very disappointing. For that large of a store, there's only two restrooms, which are located in the front of the store. My girlfriend and I both had to use the restroom before traveling on I-80 west back to the bay area. The bathroom was closed for shoppers, however, the employees were using it. I had lunch at the Subway inside there and I found the crew to be A+. They were very helpful. After that, my girlfriend and I went back to try to use the restroom and it was the same thing...employees coming in and out. As the manager of a small retail business, I had to just shake my head at what kind of management this place is under. I went shopping on Sunday morning, I got the items I needed and got in line. This is where it all turned bad. I was in line for almost 10 minutes and I had not moved. There was only 2 people in front of me. At 10 minutes I went to customer service and asked if she could get more cashiers and she told me they are on break. I asked to get the manager. I stood in line for a few minutes more and then I moved to a different line. When i was putting my groceries on the belt, the cashier told me I am closed, going on break. I went back to the original line I was in. 10 minutes more passed and I finally went to the manager. I asked her to get more cashiers at registers. She told me I'm sorry, I can't help that no one wants to come in and that she was doing her best. This is unacceptable because she, the manager could have got on a register and checked people out. When I was checking out I asked for the store manager and the cashier said, "I don't know who the store manager is and that she called a manager up to talk to me. I waited but no one came to talk to me. This will be the last time I shop here. If you want to keep customers you the store need to do your job. While I typed this letter I had been on hold on my phone waiting to speak to a manager. NO manager picked up the phone to talk to me. UNACCEPTABLE BUSINESS PRACTICES. read more

I hate buying food at Wal Mart. Yes they are cheap, but you get what you pay for. Often I buy dairy, get it home and find it is expiring in a few days. Yogurt is always within a few days of expiring. Great value anything is dicey. Bought some pineapple one that had fermented in the can and smelled like gas. Living in Dixon, we don't have many shopping choices. I'm too lazy to drive to Davis or VV to go to Target so I just have to suck it up. Recently, the renovated the store and moved things around. It was a horrible decision. Before, it was a perfectly organized store. It was actually a very nice looking Walmart, if you can believe it. Now, it just looks like a mess. Aisles are facing different directions, the placement of those aisles makes no sense. It looks trashy and awful. I actually hate Walmart now and I think I might just drive to Target. UGH. read more

Best Walmart super market I have ever been to. They have large selections and offer food products. I miss their deli and every time I go there, I always buy a $4.50 8 pcs fried chicken. Their fried chicken taste delicious and chicken tender is very cheap. I love their deli area. Every weekend I always shop my food in Walmart since there is no other such big supermarket around Davis. They open 24 hrs a day and have a self-checkout area. I always go at night to avoid long time waitng. Sunday is a pain since there are always a long long line for ppl to shop. Their parking lot is hugh and I never have a problem finding a spot. read more

This place has HORRIBLE customer service. My husband waited for 20 damn minutes at the electronics counter pressing the damn "press for help" button. (Hint: the button didn't work ) a couple associates just walk by making eye contact with him as they walk away! He finally got fed up and went and found someone. Over the last 6 years, I came here countless time. I like how this Walmart is so close to Davis and is opened for 24hrs. This place literally all types of essentials. Since it is a super Walmart, they even have a grocery section. Walmart is once of my favorite place to shop at. Prices is usually slightly cheaper then Safeway, target, Walgreens, and stores like that. But I feel like a few cents here and there does add up in the long run when it comes to toliet paper, paper towels, body wash, toothpaste, and etc. Now that I am back in San Francisco, and without a walmart near by I truly miss this place. read more
