One of the nicer Walmart. I appreciate the employees because they do their best despite the kind of treatment they get from customers. Many customers just behave badly and really unnecessary. We're all adults, and we should treat each other kindly. No need to take it out on anyone who is there just trying to earn a wage. Love this walmart! Boyfriend and I are currently living in our car while he saves up money for a place. We go in to walmarts subway all the time to charge our phones and stay out of the heat. Staff is super friendly and it's fun to just walk around the store! Good work out as well! Love that they are open 24 hours as I don't do big crowds so can do my shopping later in the day. Has a good garden section and an ok book department. I'm a huge reader as if my boyfriend so more books would be awesome! Otherwise no complaints! We also aren't the only ones who sleep here. Being Dixon's biggest attraction, a lot is expected of Walmart. This store is usually very clean and well stocked. Unlike Costco, Walmart reliably has the items I like to buy, most times, when I visit the store. This Walmart has about everything you need day-to-day and reasonable prices. For a Walmart this is as good as it gets. It's surprisingly clean and well maintained. I do a lot of late night shopping so I love how this place is 24 hours. I live in Dixon and I rather drive to Davis and go to Target just because the employees are not willing to help customers (obviously do not like it here either)...I went by and asked for help in the electronics department the guy saw another employee at the place where I needed help so he said "That guy can help you" but "that guy" was busy helping someone else...The first guy obviously had no common sense because if the other guy is busy how is he going to help me???? read more

I, by any means, am not the biggest Wal-Mart fan but I do honor its convenience and its one stop abilities. The Dixon store is by far the most clean, organized and useful location I've ever been too (FYI that West Sacramento one is way too big and I think I'd get lost in there if I was alone). It helps that Dixon is a tiny little town that prevents any place from being overcrowded with obnoxiously large families, strollers and ten carts per household. You can easily stop in and get what you need and get out in a timely fashion. 24 hours, auto service center, super Wal-Mart carries everything I need at any hour of the day. read more

My Son and I went shopping today for a few things and we get to register 7 since the person in front of me had hardly anything... mind you, when people have kids they get distracted with them in the check out line.. well that was me today. I put all of my things up on the conveyor belt and she starts ringing me up.. she's putting everything in one bag and I told her to use as many bags as she needed, so she does. I don't think this old broad knew what she was doing because when i hot home, my Starbucks coffee I bought was in the the bag, she some how punched a hole through the can.. and my hair product that I buy all the time wasn't in the bag at all. I know I paid for it because of the receipt but it's no where to be found!!! I'm so angry right now.. I have to go back to Walmart and show them my receipt and proceed to tell them it was not in my bag when I got home... Walmart Cashier's, you need better training than you're getting!! I am a frequent Walmart shopper this is one of the worst Walmarts I've ever been to. I get it, it's Walmart what did I expect; well I suppose since I'm spending my money I expected at least the slightest bit of competence and customer service. I showed up today around 4:30 in the afternoon wanting to purchase a couple of coolers for an upcoming trip out to the desert. I decided on the two I would like to purchase at 4:45, however they were connected with a cable and a security device to the metal racking, no problem I ask a guy to unlock it, he says he can't but he will get someone who can. He pages over the intercom for someone to come, nobody does, he sees me standing there, pages again, nobody comes. It is now 5:15, I'm sitting in a camping chair waiting for someone to come, contemplating if I should set up a tent and start a warming fire to wait this out. Two other associates see me sitting there and say they will get someone. Finally at 5:23, 38 minuets later someone comes sauntering up looking annoyed he has to do his job to come help me. Stop hiring unmotivated, incompetent, lazy employees. read more

Have been somewhat out of necessity shopped at the Dixon SuperCenter for almost six years. It has been a disappointing journey to this point in 2019. They obviously have a huge labor problem there. After knowing just a few remaining employees over these five plus years, and having listened to their various perspectives I now know why. Management or lack of same seems to be the principle complaint; along with the mistreatment of non-management/ lower employees there. Anybody of what we termed a high-asset employee during my thirty years in upscale retail; will not last at the Walmart stores longer than six months. Only those older employees desperate for their small paycheck could possibly choose to work here or there. How long will WM last at this critical junction in American history? Honestly, I would give Walmart no more than 18 months to survive as a recognizable form of what they have been; or in a sale to Amazon or another; being totally un-recognizable v/s their historical model. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! We waited in the sporting goods section for over 30 mins. My father got on the phone and called customer service to ask for help, they said there would be someone sent to help us soon. 10 minutes went by & no one showed up. So my father and I went and found an employee. We explained the situation and once again would be told that someone would be back to help us shortly. Once again 5 minutes went by so my father had enough of waiting. When he went to the find the manager, the manager told us- "I can't help you because we're short staffed and I'm working the registers & I don't appreciate you raising your voice to me." When my father tried to express his dissatisfaction of their help, the manager told us- "We're not gonna service day you. You can leave now. Just leave!" We grabbed our things & left. I went with my friend to get her oil changed. After figuring out where to go, we pulled up to a car already in line with two workers just standing there next to the empty car. Didnt even look at us or even acknowledge our presence. We stayed in line for about 10 mins waiting for one of them to walk up to our car but instead wouldnt even look in or direction and eventually they both walked back into the building as it we didnt exist. I normally enjoyed this Walmart out of the others in my area ( Vacaville and Fairfield) but last night I had terrible service that many know Walmart for. This Walmart was always clean, nice staff and better selection than any other I have been to, but last night I was going for a certain game that was releasing the same day. I arrived shortly after MIdnight so there shouldn't have been any issues obtaining my copy of the game. I had to wait for 20 minutes for someone to finally arrive at the electronics section to help me. When I explained what i was looking for, the older man talked to me as if I was crazy. I explained the game I wanted and he told me they didn't have it without even checking at all. He told me they put all their new games out every monday night and it's not here. I asked him nicely if he could check for me just in case and he refused to do it! I just left and had a strong gut feeling he was lying, so I went to the Walmart in Fairfield, and sure enough, they had it out to be purchased! It would have been okay if they somehow were out of stock when I arrived but the fact the man didn't even bother to check to see is what really annoyed me. read more

Employees that Don't really give a shit about their job,understaffed and when I tried to get some whey protein they were completely out! How can you be out of ever type of why protein exctept the single serving of protein in the test tube! They did have shitty EAS Soy Protein that seemed to be 1/3 sugar,GARBAGE!!! This store always makes me mad. I am giving it two stars instead of one because the parking lot situation is a bit better than at the Fairfield Walmart. Meaning, in Dixon there are no or less people pan handling and less shopping carts on scattered all over the parking lot. And this Walmart is right off the freeway so it is easy to reach. Still I am very unhappy with this store and I try to avoid it. Whenever I go shopping I make a list, only to find that half of the items on the list happen to be out of stock at Walmart. This happens every time; they run out of very basic items. To a degree this happens at any store but Walmart is particularly bad. The staff is generally neither helpful or friendly nor motivated. The people at the register are not too bad but ones on the floor are a disaster. They are generally quite convinced that their job is to only stack shelves and not to respond to customers. The worst however are the customer service desk which always seems to have a long line and the "ship to store" service counter. I tried to use it on several occasions but every time it took over 30min to find someone to give me my order. Yesterday I spent the usual 30min trying to get my order but could not find anyone to hand it to me. The first Walmart staff member I asked did not speak English, the next two spoke English but didn't know how the system works. The third person apparently notified someone in the appropriate area but that person never showed up to actually help me. I could hear that person but he/she was behind an employees only door and never came out. I ended up leaving my order behind. I will get a refund since I didn't pick it up and I will just buy it elsewhere but I am irritated that this cost me over 30min. And absolutely no one cares about customer satisfaction. I think the target group of this store is people with no jobs who have all the time in the world and who have no self respect so they won't mind being treated like dirt. Typical Walmart, my big issue is that I have run into their employees stealing from customers. Once in line I saw a cashier "mistakenly" not give the customer in front of me their bag and put it underneath. I was able to call back the customer. The cashier did not look happy. read more

Since this is a 24 hour Walmart you would think they would answer their phone as well. It's very frustrating to call and have no one answer the phone except after 9 AM. I would like to shop early, but I need to ask a question before going to make sure they have what I'm looking for. This is a very nice Walmart. A particularly large one. I have a thing with Walmart. I don't like the corporate greed or the way employees are supposedly treated but I love the prices and in this case the selection. This Walmart is tucked away off the freeway. I came in the evening and was disappointed that the parking lot was not well lit at night. One of the stadium big lights was out and the lights at this newer store were too spaced out so it was dim in spots. Add to that, at night there is only one door open but no sign saying so so if you park at the other end you are in a lonely section and have to hike in the dark. Not too many employees are on at night and they see stocking as the priority if they are on not checking. The upside is that this store has so much more than other Walmarts I am used to. The place is neat and clean so finding items is easy. The local area tax rate is 7.625. Beats Sacramento for big ticket items. The location is easy off I80. If you have a lot to get, you'll be set. read more

I asked the guy who answered the phone when they would be open (so much for 24 hrs.) and he said "I have no idea", that's it. No explanation. Nothing. How rude. Walmart automotive in Dixon, Ca has a proven track record for complete and utter incompetence. I arrived at Walmart at 1 pm with a simple flat repair at which time I saw approximately 4-5 employees with little to do. I told the employee I had a flat and if they could not repair it, I also had a spare tire they could put on the rim. After two hours I called them and they told me my car was ready. I arrived to find the donut spare still on the car and they claimed my tire was unrepairable and the spare was no good. Of course no one bothered calling me to tell me those facts or better yet offer to sell me a new tire. When I arrived I was able to convince a manager type to check to see if they had a tire in their limited inventory. The manager checked even though he admitted it was highly unlikely. Low and behold he found one, but after two more hours employees admitted that none of them knew how to remove an 18 inch tire from an 18 inch rim. I wasted over four hours and now at 5 pm I was not going to find another shop open on a Sunday. On another occasion I had a young lady ask me wear my battery was located in this same shop. Please do not risk the health of your vehicle at Walmart automotive. They SUCK! read more
