I went online on thanksgiving to put In an order due to the fact I was unable to go in store to make purchase spent the holiday with my sick grandparents. I found on Friday I ordered the wrong bike so I went to cancel it In hopes to exchange. Ya no not possible and it canceled my whole order. I called Dixon Walmart and talked to assistant manager Keri and he was able to locate the bike I wanted and the play station control I was so upset over and he put them on hold for me I'm on the way yet have never been so pleased with Walmart and it's customer service. I live locally and I went to this Walmart as usual for my groceries, only this time was a whole different experience. I young man was being dropped off for work and the music from the car was unbelievable loud along with the smell of weed. I shook my head, went into the store and was then verbally attacked by this employee and then punched in the chest as he proceeded to call me names. People were gathering and it was made out that I had done something. Tire Center. R.O.F.L. That's what I should say to start this off. Please sir, madam, dear, whoever may be reading this, don't go to the Walmart tire center. I guess I should've known, however I was heeding the advice of another and went to this dreadful place to get my Elantra's tires rotated and get a standard oil change. By the way, my car's name is Huc. Yes, he has a name. But that's not the important thing here. I arrived and requested tire rotation and standard oil change - guy says it will take about 2hrs - no prob, just gonna go shopping with my home girl. Easy. We come back two hours later and BAYUM. They haven't done shit because apparently they didn't have the right filter for Huc and didn't bother to call me and let me know when they had asked for my number. So then the guy asks if I still want my tires rotated: yes please. Balanced? No, that's quite alright. Then about 30 minutes later this other guy comes over and the convo goes something like this: Guy: You the one with the Honda? Me: Hyundai. Guy: Whatever. Me: Uh..huh. Then he asks for my number twice. Then he asks how to pronounce my name. It's a common name. No, it's not the one listed on yelp. But take my word for it, it's common and easy to pronounce. They finally pull Huc into the shop and start taking off his tires and when the guy puts them back on, he does some sort of flailing his arms in the air spin kicking the wheels in. Okay, maybe not spin kicking but come on, it's just rotating the tires - I didn't ask for some lord of the dance hip-hop throw your arms into the air let's raise that dayum roof son. I just wanted my tires rotated, is that so much to ask for? I get my receipt. They call a cashier over that is apparently invisible because they didn't come. So after 15 minutes they make me walk to the garden cashier and pay my six dollas. I pay, come back and guy that doesn't know how to pronounce my name is flipping through a binder and I give him my receipt to check off and he snatches it and starts muttering cuss words under his breath like he's got a sudden case of tourettes. His anger seethes into the pen that refuses to work for him and he throws it on the ground and I'm just about ready to get the hell outta there. When I get into my car, I notice there's some white speckly shit on my windshield - it was not there before. My yoshi is on the ground. How dare they. Oh, and lord of the dance guy apparently knows good music when he hears it because my Akon CD is on full blast (when it was not before). This review is for the Tire & Lube Center of this Walmart. The people working in this department are inconsiderate idiots. Now, I hate calling people bad names, but these fools deserve it. I wanted to get an oil change while I was shopping so I figured I'd drop it off since there was no line. Biggest mistake ever. First of all, they told me the filter for my car was unavailable, so they told me to drive down the street to Napa Automotive Supplies to get my own filter. Ok, easy enough. I bring back the filter & give them my info & EXPLICITLY tell them to call me if there are any problems & to tell me when my car was done. He says it'll be done in 30 minutes. I walk around Walmart for what seemed like too long (oil changes don't take 1.5 hours right?!) so I return back to the Tire Center. They tell me that there was a problem with my car so they couldn't do the oil change. And instead of calling me as I instructed, they let my car sit in the corner of the lot while for a stupid hour & a half & they went on dilly dallying with their day. All this time I could have just gotten my car & gone somewhere else, but none of the imbeciles that work here had the sense to call me. I was so annoyed & vowed I would never return. So unless you want some idiots to piss you off & ruin your day, DO NOT GO HERE! read more

Walmart...you are so there. You are there 24 hours. You are there right off I-80. You are there with groceries, dish pans and fishing gear all in one gigantic space. You are there when the mundane task of getting light bulbs, toilet paper, coffee filters and socks is necessary and the feeling of "fun" doesn't come to mind. The Dixon Walmart is like no other Walmart I can think of, and after shopping here, disappointment is sure to hit when entering a sister store. Most are noisy and a bit scruffy, selling unfashionable clothes and with the aroma of McDonalds drifting down the aisles. But not this Walmart: it is squeaky clean, spacious and huge without the crowd. A pleasant environment to carry out the task of domestic gathering of necessities. The first time I entered this store I was surprised at how nice it was. That was several years ago. There has been plenty of time for this store to show some scruffiness, but that has not happened. Instead, it continues to have a cleanliness and spaciousness, and being a "Super Walmart" has an endless assortment of items both made in China and America. Walmart has been the subject of several social and economic woes in America. it was one of the first stores to buy in large quantities from China. It has been blamed for causing small town stores to close when the behemoth Walmart moves in. Small businesses can't offer the same low prices and sometimes go under. Walmart has also been accused of controlling some of the items sold in America. I have heard that Mattel will not make a toy if it can not be sold at Walmart,. Then there is the little problem of unfair labor practices. Complain about Walmart but is it really any different than Target, Pier One, Cost Plus and all other stores these days? Everything is not made in America and the same stores here in San Jose are in every town USA. But you have to buy a plunger sometimes. Walmart will have several in cool colors and cheap. Walmart does offer some items that I cannot find anywhere else too. It is the only place in the area that sells Cremora coffee creamer.. All other stores offer a huge selection of Coffee Mate, but Cremora is actually creamy and smooth. My family will only eat (and eat a lot of it) a certain brand of cheese ravioli. I used to buy it at Safeway, then at Nob Hill but now only Walmart sells it. I stock up and buy 6 bags at a time. It is very healthy and I am glad that Walmart offers this. Whole Wheat gnocchi, imported from Italy is also here. It is actually fun to see what else can be found. A clean store loaded with goods at great prices and uncrowded helps to make stocking up on household items kind of fun. It is not near my house, but if I am heading down 80, I look forward to taking a break as I walk through the doors and am greeted by the friendly person in a blue smock. Walmart you are there as a beacon of domestic simplicity off I-80. And what could be better that having the "Tractor Store" next door! This super fantastic Walmart and the Tractor Store together is truly an escape to down home shopping. Dixon is alright. read more

This is the best Walmart that I've ever been to. In the two times that I've been here, I've never had to wait in line to pay. The Walmart that I regularly shop at in Stockton is always packed, no matter the day and time. Seriously! Once, I stood in line for over half an hour on a Saturday night at 8:30 PM. I was able to eat my dinner in line. Nope, that could never happen at this Walmart, though! During my most recent visit, I noticed that they already had Christmas ornaments and cards stocked. They are so prepared! Might I add that the employees are super nice and even greet you at the door? I've never had such a pleasant experience at a Walmart before. WOW!~!! A 24-hour Super Walmart!!!! I felt like a third grader going on a field trip to an awesome place. Haha. I really like this Super Walmart. You can easily walk in circles to locate whatever you need to buy. The store is that big! If you get tired, you can make a trip to the grocery and snack section of the Walmart. Bananas are really cheap. The quality of the vegetables and fruits are so-so, but cheaper prices than Safeway or Nugget. You can also buy meats, frozen items, and whatever items in the deli. Baking items are a very good price. I buy my brown sugar and powdered sugar here. Normally I don't like to travel at night, but at 10pm I felt pretty safe in the area. This is my favorite Walmart. And who knew a person could have a favorite Walmart? Just 10-20 minutes away from Davis. The perfect place for UC Davis students to: -Stock up on groceries. Veggies, meat, fruits...whatever your heart desires. -Buy spoils for Greek fraternity/sorority life. -Buy crafting materials. They got a pretty large selection of felt and fleece! Also cheap pillows. -CLOTHES. Let me tell you guys a secret...if you're a girl, buy boys sweats. They are CHEAP $5, COMFY, and IN CUTE COLORS. (this is a review for the photo service) Simply the worst photo quality you can get. At $0.19 per photo developed at the in-store photo service center, you'd expect some kind of quality for what you're paying. I mean, it's the same price as Target, Rite-Aid, Walgreens, or even Costco. No, I was very disappointed and very disgusted with the photos I received. I paid about $20 for photos that reeked of ink. It was printed on extremely poor quality PAPER, reminiscent of those cheaply purchased for at-home printing. It wasn't even the good kind. And it felt like crap. Utter ripoff. read more

I was at this Walmart on Saturday June 27, 2015. About 9:30 pm. I had about 15 clothing items to return. The clerk's name was Imani. She has to be one of the nicest clerks in a department store I have come across in a long time. With so many returns, I was missing a receipt for three items. She had no problem issuing me store credit. Not only that; she handled all the transactions with a smile and friendly conversation. The best part, was there was no numerous questions why I was returning so much. Just one time she asked and I said "they are the wrong size". That was it, she scanned them, scanned my receipts, issued credit back to my card & store credit back on a store gift card. Not only was she professional, and very helpful, she is very pretty and had a nice hair style :) After the return transactions, I ended up leaving the store with a full cart and spending over 3 times as much I had returned! *GRIN* read more

It's Walmart. So you can't expect much. This one is a hit or miss. Of course you can never find an employee when your looking for one. A lot of times the grocery area is wiped clean and takes forever to be restocked. The parking lot is big enough. I think the worst part about this location is the customer service desk. If your in a hurry, don't go there. There is usually 1 person working it. And they move so slow like they are dead. Seriously. I just called this Walmart to see if they had a particular item in stock. When I called, the woman seemed annoyed and harassed. I can understand that they may be busy at the moment, but her attitude made me feel like I was making an unreasonable demand. It is my understanding that one should be able to call and see if an item is in stock before driving 40 minutes to a store. I tried to give the lady information (such as the brand and size) and she told me she didn't need that. This was confusing because all I had told her at that point was that I was looking for a particular counter stool that had a brown seat. After not being allowed to provide any specific information, I was put on hold for 20 minutes. I finally just hung up. Now I have to drive 40 minutes to this store without even knowing if they have the item I want in stock. Terrible customer service! read more

This place is just like any other Wal Mart...full of crushed dreams and souls and oh yeah really old people. I'm usually a happy go lucky guy, but nothing brings me back down to Earth like Wal Mart. Like seriously does Wal Mart hold job fairs at convalescent homes? I could walk in here with just one leg and would feel at home because I wouldn't be the only thing on my last leg. The aisles are often messy although this location does a slightly better job. Obviously everything here is cheap, which is nice and all, but I feel like I'm giving my money to the devil. Had a blow out on I-80 just before the Dixon off-ramp at 5am. Was able to grab what I needed to remove my wheel from Robert (tire & lube) then come back at 7am to replace my tire and get on my way. Even at 5am - the staff was attentive, kind and made me smile. Great job!!! read more

This walmart will forever remind me of carefree college days not so long past. It's about 10 minutes from Davis, and back in my day (haha meaning just a few years ago... I'm not old I swear!) it was the nearest giant shop of wonders aka it had everything I ever needed. During my freshman year at Davis, there was no massive costco in woodland, nor a splendid target over yonder in southeast davis. There was Ace Hardware, Safeway, and.... yeah that's all I can think of. For clothing, maybe Davis Commons where there'a a GAP. So on the few days when one of my friends happened to be able to borrow a sibling's car, we'd all pack in for a midnight trip to FABULOUS WONDERFUL WALMART ! I hardly left campus during my freshman year so in my standards, this was like a trip to DISNEYLAND!!! Endless aisles of dry foods, deli, dairy, clothing, jewelry, makeup, shoes, video games, movies, toys.... the list goes on forever. Seriously. And to top it all off, it was cheap and affordable (until the cart was full and we realize we're buying way too much stuff). During my later years, I stopped by more often, I had my own car and it was a convenient stop to pick up food on my way to school after trips home to the bay. The fabric section is extensive for not being a fabric store, and this came in unusually handy when a certain unnamed fraternity makes giant pillows a few times a year. They also used to carry huge boxes of stuffing (for pillows, not turkeys!) but I haven't seen them around lately! It's never super packed, and during Davis/Dixon/that whole area's CRAZY HOT SUMMERS, it's a great place to kill time in the nicely airconditioned aisleways! (is that spelled right....?) p.s. nice selection of ice creams! they have a lot of individual servings, so it's like an icecream truck, except in the store!! chocotacos ftw! read more

Came in during the early hours of the morning. Staff was hard at work restocking the store, re-merchandising displays, etc. Surprisingly strong in-stock condition compared to most Wal-Marts I've been to, and the salesfloor wasn't in a state of complete disarray. Staff was welcoming and helpful, willing to provide flexible alternatives when my initial need was not met (there appear to be discrepancies between what is advertised online as in stock at a location and what the case actually is; not because they were out of what I needed, but because the website told me "this particular product is available in-store at the 24-hour Dixon Wal-Mart"). Store's been through a remodel, as I was told, which might account for said discrepancy--updates regarding what is advertised vs. what is in-store in that case can take time. I believe the clerk that helped me best was named Tim, but I could be mistaken, as I was semi-frazzled. But, either way, this is a Walmart that truly stands out as a positive reflection of the brand's potential. Keep it up, team of Dixon Wal-Mart! P.S. Tim (or Jim, or... something like that--AKA my hero in a yellow safety vest, assisting me in the hardware department), the hacksaw took 2 minutes. Fantastic alternative. They are open 24 hours, although I went late one night and they had the electronics area closed off - not cool since that's why I was there. Not sure if it's a regular thing or not. Can someone tell me why I can buy a box of puff pasteries here for $3 something and I drive all the way back to the Safeway in Davis and they are selling it for $6 something? Really Safeway? Besides the terrific food here, they have lots of clothes! I love the clearance section. Where else can you find shirts and stuff for under $5? Yes, it's true. Walmart has the worse labor practices and their factories in China pay workers 13 cents an hour. They're terrible. BUT their products are cheaper than your average store which is what attracts poor college students like myself (before, I mean). The fruit and veggies were cheap, their Kashi cereal (the FAMILY SIZE box) is always sold at the constant price of $2.50, I buy the $1 bag of salt-free sunflower seeds for my pet rat. The best part (and main reason why this superctr gets 3 stars) is their rotissiere lemon chicken. I was shopping there around 4ish and felt lazy so I stopped by the deli section. I spotted the chicken and the label indicated it was fresh outta the oven. Brought that baby home and tore it all up with my bf. It was delish!! Even better than the Costco chicken. I went into Walmart just to get what I needed. I came across 1gallon water bottles. I grabbed only 2. There were no signs posted in front of them or nearby them. They were located towards the self check out aisles near the pharmacy end of the store. The clerk who worked at the register line I was in screamed for his supervisor and gave 1 of my 2 bottles away. I asked why and he said it was one bottle to each person. Mind you if I had grabbed a case of water bottles it wouldn't even have been equivalent to that 1 gallon. 1 gallon is equivalent to 6bottled waters which isn't even half a case. I should've been allowed at least 2 gallons. It wasn't like I took all 20 available. I grabbed what was fair. 1 gallon of water per person is ridiculous. You guys need to rethink what you are doing. Fair is fair. If you're allowing a case per person than you should at least let a person grab 2-3 gallons per purchase. I keep emphasizing, I only grabbed 2 and that was more than fair. read more

Went here on a friday night around midnight for some weird reason to shop for groceries. anyways, i think this wal-mart is big for college students at uc davis as i saw a couple there around that time. special note: there is a regular wal-mart like 15 minutes from here in vacaville. they're popping up everywhere unfortunately. You can find food, produce, meat, clothes, pretty much anything here. a deli and electronics also. anyways, just ur typical super wal-mart. the stupid thing here is there only seems to be one entrance/exit point in the whole HUGE parking lot. yes, it sucks when i had to turn my car around after i found this out the hard way.
