I'm a huge fan of WM. I usually visit this particular store about 5 to 6 times a week to get survival food (milk and cereal). They are in the proccess of becoming a SUPER WM (carry groceries) which is awesome...I can't wait! If you can't find it at WM, then it does not exist! 4 stars! read more

I just have bad bad bad feelings about Wal-Mart. If you like it for cheap prices that are not that much cheaper than other stores, unless if they're cheaply made in which other stores are more likely not willing to sell (or maybe not have access to them since most of them are made in China specifically for Wal-Mart), then this is the place for you. Of course, it's a good place also to support the downturn in the economy. And yes, also to support the cheap labor practices in other countries. And yes, we don't only do it with China, we do it with other countries, but the fact is this - no other store in the entire world plays out this advantage more than Wal-Mart - and it is probably the biggest of the behemoth companies doing that. Of course, the allure is that they're supposed to have EVERYTHING (even though this is not a Super Wal-Mart). Still, I'd rather go somewhere else that also has everything or do a little more research on where else I can get them. I'm thankful at least that Miami-Dade county is probably a part of the country with one of the lowest Wal-Mart per resident since this is the closest Wal-Mart to go to if you live in South Beach, and that is about a distance of 10 miles (impressive considering I know other cities that have a Wal-Mart every 3 to 5 miles). But what sickens me the most about Wal-Mart is this one. It is overly congested, crowded, disorganized and some things that you may want are probably not even on the shelves! This chaos is probably because of the lack of Wal-Marts in the area - something I'll like to see stay that way. So, if you come here, be prepared for people walking into exits and walking out of entrances. Be prepared for something reminiscent to bumper to bumper traffic. Be prepared to find stuff everywhere in places they should not be at - or, at least, be prepared to be able not to find them. Be prepared for the long waits on check-out lanes. Be prepared for parking hassles and be prepared for lines going in and out of the parking lot. Who knows, maybe you'll be able to be here on a good day. But on a good day, I'll be willing to shop somewhere else. If you really need to shop at Wal-Mart, I would suggest the Super-Walmart on Okeechobee in northwestern part of Miami-Dade. There's a new one also that is in North Miami Beach which may be better also. And a new one in far western Kendall. Or better yet, somewhere in Broward county. But for sure, this one is the worst. What's surprising about this one is that its next door Sam's Club, also owned by Wal-Mart, is much MUCH nicer, cleaner, and organized than Costco in the same area. Place is ok, has what i need to get in and out. Walmart here is a bit more expensive then walmart in CA but the sales tax rate is really low so it averages out. Only slight issue i have here is the language barrier for the most part. Service and everyone i ran through here is nice but when asking for help its hard when majority of people speak little to no English. I presume its not a requirement in Miami?!? The people who do speak clear English were really courteous and helpful but the ones who did not, stared at me like i was crazy and some with dirty looks. I understand if I was in a foreign country but dude this is a the U.S., English should be the typical language. I'm Asian and we have our own language but at least I can speak English. Worst service ever. Ask lazara, addias for a manager they wouldn't call her. All customer stood 40 minutes at electronic. No sale rep or store attendant. I wanted a memory stick said I had to wait in the line with no body at register. One man complained to the girl. She finally arrived and told him he and all of us needed to relax and calm down. For the record, I've never stepped foot in the store, this review is entirely for the pickup and quality of food. The one advantage of covid is the widespread emergence of free pickup, where I can avoid what I loathe almost more than anything, which is shopping. Typically, especially with Walmart, I find myself frustrated because no one picks up the phone when I arrive and call the number, and I have to track down an employee going in and out to get my pickup order. That is not the case with this Walmart. I have made several orders so far, and every time there is an employee waiting for me to arrive with the groceries already on the transportation cart. I've spent no more than 5 minutes from parking to leaving. The pickup area is clearly marked. Also, they have a great selection, and I've had only one substitution in all of my orders so far. In addition, the qualify of Walmart produce has drastically improved lately, and I've been pleasantly surprised with everything. The employees I have encountered have been extremely polite, professional, and quick. If you haven't tried the free pickup system at this Walmart, you are missing out! read more

Parking is a nightmare. It's not organized. Customer service? What's that? The layout makes no sense. About the layout, it's changed at least 3 times in the last 3 years and I've never seen it make sense. I can go on about the usual at Walmart: low prices, open at all hours, you can find everything on the planet there, you can return just about anything with or without a receipt, probably without having bought it there too...ok. I think this is probably the busiest WalMart in all of Florida. This location is very close to Miami International Airport and it's a very popular with people traveling overseas. Pack your patience if you're coming here after 2pm on the weekdays and don't even think about coming here on weekends, parking alone takes half an hour. read more

This is the Walmart I used to visit before they opened another location on Flagler. It used to be a small Walmart store but, as it is the case lately, it was expanded to include a supermarket so it is now a Super Walmart. Parking is generally hard to find and there is a McDonalds inside the store, in case you get hungry. I particularly avoid overly processed foods but cannot resist their ice cream, it is so cheap and good. Well, back to the subject, I really enjoy shopping and walking around the store, the prices are excellent and the people interesting (if you don't know what I mean go visit peopleofwalmart.com). I don't like the parking here, I'll grow old by the time I find parking and it's always packed. I recommend going if you're going to make a big grocery purchase. I usually go to buy healthier options that would normally be expensive at my local Winn Dixie (Shell gas perks) and Publix. I'm on a student budget guys. I have pretty good memory and Walmart prices are $1 to $2 difference on my Honey Bunches of oates cereal, it's a $1 price difference on my Lactade milk, my wildoates ground flaxseed. So is all that trouble worth it? It's important to check their discounts and compare to your local super market because you want to keep in mind what is your trade off? What you might save on groceries you'll spend on gas and you'll pay a dollar more at your local store because of convenience. The choice is yours! read more

Well, I guess I've never had the joy of "having security called on me" because I used the restroom somewhere that I was patron at. Nonetheless, I get it that no one totally lives this place but you come here based on necessity not selection. Walmart is punishment for not getting to target on time & we all know it. Certain times of the year, it's totally necessary to come here because it's for a huge trip that you're taking, or perhaps a bulk purchase that really makes sense. Otherwise, I prefer paying the "Target" tax and enjoying my stroll as I shop. Everything is scattered, no one knows where anything is at, employees are rude, and let's not even mention the lines. There is nothing SUPER about this Walmart..... One of the things Sam Walton emphasized while he lived and breathed, besides low prices, was customer service and friendliness. Greet them with a smile, and help them find what they're looking for. Almost simplistic, but effective in garnering customer loyalty throughout the years. This Walmart Supercenter however operates on the principle of "They're going to come here anyway, so service is irrelevant." And unfortunately, they are right.... I shop at Walmart mostly for bulk items like toilet paper, detergent, etc. I seldom buy food or anything perishable unless it's an unbeatable price and I'm there anyway. This is due in part to the horrendous service, the long wait lines at the registers, and the lackadaisical attitude exhibited by most of the employees there. Can you imagine asking one of the team members to help you find a specific product (both in English and Spanish) and their response is "That's not my job." or "I'm too busy, find someone else to help you." When I heard that, I actually thought my hearing aide was on the fritz. Sadly, I heard them right. This particular Walmart Supercenter handles immense volume of foot traffic at all hours of the day and late into the evening, which tells me that the majority of shoppers here have given up on getting ANY customer service and are solely focused on the bottom line. This is in part what has hastened the death of Main Street in America. I have absolutely no hope of ever getting any kind of service at this or any other Walmart. The worst customer service came to exchange some ear buds I purchased today because I don't have the adapter to be able to charge it. Customer service was closed off 10 minutes before 10 pm the team leader screaming that it was closed and that her employee needed to go home already. So I requested to speak to manager or supervisor they told me good luck finding him he getting ready to closed the store. The adapter I needed Walmart doesn't sell it and another employee to me to order it online but that she doesn't know if Walmart sell it. The worst customer service. Update: Downgraded to one star. Most of the employees here are the rudest, most uneducated people I have ever encountered. I agree with most customers. Lazara should definitely be fired. She has no business dealing with the public. She lacks class and basic customer service skills. After taking an hiatus from this store, we made the huge mistake of coming here because we had a lot groceries to buy. Cashiers do not understand how to scan printed coupons; the same coupons that can be found on Walmart's website. Also, they do not know how to process gift cards either. Go figure! read more

They discriminate my friend yesterday at this Walmart talking about her about the groceries we had and we was trying to do it at the self checkout next to the customer service and we had 73 items in the cart so I stepped out to get another cart outside there wasn't anything told the guy outside there wasn't any came back the manager and the other employees ganged up my friend with my child and they thought she was stealing and kidnapped my daughter cause my daughter didn't look like her and my daughter won't look like her cause thats not her mother I am and they should be ashamed of themselves and the sad part is that they spoke Spanish behind her back not knowing she and I spoke Spanish and I'll go again back to this store and redo and have the same 73 items and I'll make sure to have two carts all them lady's should be careful with who they choose their battles with cause me and my friend are going to sue. read more

I have never been to a Walmart where the majority of the staff does not speak English. Two floor Walmart employees were not able to assist me because my spanish is horrible. I had two keys made at this location. The man that made our keys was very friendly. The store itself seemed slightly unorganized because their are so many people shopping here. I had a few incidents where I encounter shopping cart traffic jams. My check out clerk was adorable. She kept apologizing to customers for not speaking Spanish. I felt horrible for her. We frequent this Walmart for our weekly "vitamin water" run. Once or twice week my colleagues and I take a few minutes break from work to head over to Walmart to satisfy our cravings. Sometimes our job can be strenuous, which may require skipping lunch if working on a time-sensitive project. Redbull/vitamin water paired with some beef jerky is all we have to get through the day without going insane. This Walmart was remodeled not long ago and expanded into a Supercenter. It took a few months of constructions but the job paid off. The place is 'nice', clean, and there are a whole-lot of cashiers ready to take your money. Crowds still swarm the place though, so be cautious to not get run over... I remember coming here years ago was a nightmare; more like a dreadful tragedy. Even at 3AM the lines were ridiculous. I'm glad to say that is over. You can pay quickly and may be on your way without much delay. read more

There are good Wal Marts and there are bad Wal Marts. A good Wal Mart would be in the middle of a really small town off highway 10 in New Mexico where the air is clean, where you can see the mountains in the background, and where you can get in and out in 10 minutes leaving with a cool western shirt, western belt, jeans, a hat and change for $100 bill. A bad Wal Mart would be the one in Homestead which (like the one reviewed on this page) is crowded and spirit-killing. The Homestead Wal-Mart, (which, I think is a "Super" one because it sells groceries too) is, must be, a portal into hell from earth. Everything you could possibly detest in a store rolled into one. And when you leave, you feel lucky to be alive. Let's start with a poorly designed parking lot/ mini city. It feels like the building was built sideways to the lot. It just results in a lot of ridiculous and dangerous parking lot driving just to find the entrance. Which you will not be able to park near because the lot and the store are always, always crowded. Then, once you've parked and walked a mile to get in, that's when you realize you really are in hell. Wal Mart, like Chuck E. Cheese, is one of those places people bring their kids to. Kids mean noise, conjestion, and the strong liklihood of "heelying" (kids zooming around on those annoying roller skate shoes). All the conjestion makes shopping difficult and draining and checking out a really lengthy process. This is the only store I've been to where I feel the need to leave my Ipod in the whole time. I really hate going to this Walmart! Every time I go I find myself upset at the huge parking lot, with the horrible entrances. The stupid engineer that design the parking lot should go back to school. The median are place incorrectly and the exits are placed in the most traffic congested areas. Now on to the inside of this store, there is no friendly Welcome to Walmart greeter at the door. You find yourself with a man with a price gun to check if you are bringing a return item and a huge line of people trying to get through this ridiculous new procedure of theirs. If you are returning something get ready to wait in the long line from Hell! They might as well give you a number and call the numbers out. If you happen to arrive when the carts are being dragged into their parking location watch out cause they will run you over. The staff at this location have no respect for the customer. The just cut you off and don't say excuse me. Also, If the blood mobile is at the front of the store which it should just have its own store their. Its a crazy house it get in cause they park right on the entrance and then the vampires are stalking everyone that goes into the store. I hate that cause they follow you into the store. I don't know if anybody else has had this problem but they don't have a concept of restocking time. Its always restocking time at this Walmart. They have these guys dragging these huge stacks of boxes throughout the store and they just scream "Move", "Get out of the Way", or the best one they just drag your cart away without asking you. I have personally experience these things. If you happen to get to the aisle you are looking for and come across a huge mammoth of boxes forget about finding someone to help you. If you do find someone, It not their job and they just walk away. Forget about that item and just move on they wont move it. This is a 24 hour Walmart but they close their dressing room at night, Why? So if you want to try something you are out of luck. They also have a mess around the store, they need to go to Target training school. Its sad to say but Goodwill has better organization of their stuff with the amount of staff they have. Get it together Walmart! I gave up on this Walmart for now, I heard that they now got the Dollar Store location next door and they are going to expand and make this a Super Walmart!
